Episode 45: The Kangaskhan Kid
After crossing the grasslands, Hana and her friends find themselves in a large forest area where Pokemon roam free. Unknown to them if this place is the Safari Zone or not.
Hana sighs with glee, "This forest is amazing. It reminds me so much like my home."
"You told us you lived with Pokemon in the forest a lot, so this place makes you feel like home," Akira says.
"Pika," (You sure do.) Alistair says.
Winnie barks with a smile.
"It truly does," Hana says.
Chase looks at the map and says, "According to the map, we're still in the Pokemon Preservation area."
"I guess that means we won't be catching Pokemon here," Diana says.
"That's okay. We can still have a good time here," Hana says.
"It will be best for us to see if there's a Ranger station here. They might be able to help us find the Safari Zone," Akira says.
Suddenly, a Chansey appears from the bushes.
"Hey, it's a Chansey," Diana says.
"I'll ask it for directions," Hana says.
Hana walks to the Chansey and says, "Hello Chansey, my friends and I like to know if you know if there's a Ranger Station for the Pokemon Preserve Area here. We like to get some directions to the Safari Zone."
Suddenly, the Chansey comes up to reveal Officer Jenny wearing a hat that makes it look like a Chansey.
"You don't have to look far, cause I'm the Safari Ranger of this Preserve," Jenny says.
Hana surprisingly says, "Officer Jenny."
"Talk about perfect timing," Chase replies.
Soon, Hana and her friends are led by Officer Jenny to her tent.
"As you all know, this is a national Pokemon preservation area. It's here for the raising and protection of Pokemon. The Safari Zone is still across the preserve area. As long as you stay on the path, you should be fine," Jenny says.
"Thank you, Officer Jenny," Akira says.
Winnie barks with a smile as Alistair smiles.
"Yeah. We really appreciate it," Chase says.
"Yeah, right Pikachu," Hana says.
"Pikachu," (Thank you.) Pikachu says.
"A Pikachu, and a Shiny Pikachu. I don't suppose you're those trainers who stopped Team Rocket evil plans and those Pokemon rescuers," Jenny says."
The group soon becomes confused.
"What do you mean?" Hana asks.
Jenny says, "Well, I've been getting letters from my sisters and cousins. They've been telling me that a group of trainers have been stopping Team Rocket from stealing Pokemon and rescue injured and abused Pokemon. One is involved with an abandoned charmander, my other cousin mentioned what happened on the St. Anne. My big sister told me they stopped Team Rocket who took over the Silph Company. And my younger sister told me about the rescue of a legendary Pokemon, Articuno."
Hana blushes and says, "Yeah. We were there and even helped stop Team Rocket and rescue Pokemon."
"Yeah. We do what we can to protect them. It wasn't easy beating Team Rocket, but we do what we can to rescue Pokemon," Chase says.
"I thought so. The way you were talking to me, Hana, I have my suspicions you're the girl who can talk to Pokemon," Jenny says.
"Yeah. That's me alight," Hana says.
Suddenly, they hear an alarm going off. Everyone looks at the screen to see a red dot beeping at a certain location at the Preservation Area.
"Someone is in the area," Jenny says.
"You think they're poachers?" Chase asks.
"Possibly," Jenny says.
Hana asks, "Let us help. We can't let whoever is there get those Pokemon.
"Thanks," Jenny says. Get on in!
Jenny, Hana, and the gang hurry inside the car and head off to the location where the possible poachers are at, at top speed.=
Meanwhile, at the grass area, there is a herd of large Pokemon. They are arge, bipedal Pokémon. Each of them has a brown hide with several raised patches and a cream-colored belly, large, cream-colored ears, narrow, red eyes, and a short, rounded snout with two fangs in the back of its upper jaw. On top of its head is a thick, black plate. There are epaulette-like growths over its shoulders and a row of spikes down its back. It has three clawed digits on each hand and foot and a thick tail. On its belly is a pouch that contains a baby counterpart. The baby is light purple and has smooth skin. They are peacefully living there happily. Sadly, Team Rocket is spying on them from a distance with their binoculars.
"There they are. We hit the jackpot. Kangaskhan parent and child Pokemon," Meowth says and laughs.
Then says, "Alright, you guys! Time to get to work!"
As usual, Team Rocket begins their motto.
Jessie:
Prepare for trouble.
James:
Make it double.
Jessie:
To protect the world from devastation.
James:
To unite all peoples within our nation.
Jessie:
To denounce the evils of truth and love.
James:
To extend our reach to the stars above.
Jessie:
Jessie.
James:
James.
Meowth calls out, "While you two are standing around reciting poetry, the Kangaskhan are going to get away! Come on! Hurry up!"
"Be quiet, Meowth," Jessie says, annoyed.
"We know what to do without you yelling!" James adds.
"We have to say our poem or it just doesn't feel right. Now stand aside, and watch us work," Jessie adds.
Then Jessie and James bring out a Bazooka.
Meowth panics, "What are you doing?! We're trying to catch the Pokemon, not blast em!"
"Keep quiet and watch," Jessie says.
As Team Rocket prepares to fire, Hana and the others arrive with Officer Jenny and are surprised to see the Pokemon herd.
"Wow! A whole herd of Kangaskhan," Akira says.
Diana brings out her Pokedex, and Dexter says, "Kangaskhan, a Parent Pokemon. Once approaching extinction, they are now protected by law and inhabit the Safari Zone. Approach with extreme caution. The Kangaskhan is a rare breed, which raises its children in its pocket. They will attack viciously and without warning if they feel their young are threatened in any way."
Just then, Jessie shouts, "Fire!"
Jessie then fires the weapon and their missile flies into the sky, creating a big bang, which startles the Pokemon and catch Hana and the others' attention.
"What was that?" Diana asks.
Jenny points out, "Over there! Poachers!"
Everyone turns their heads to see Team Rocket.
Hana exclaims, "It's Team Rocket!"
"They're at it again!" Akira says.
"We gotta stop them!" Hana says.
However, Jenny says, "I'm afraid if we're going to stop them, we're gonna have to run away first."
The group becomes confused and soon feel the ground shaking.
"What's that?" Diana asks.
The group turns their heads to see the Kangaskhan Herd is running right towards them.
Hana exclaims, "KANGASKHAN STAMPED!"
"Kangaskhan are easily scared, but once they're surprised, they never stop charging!" Jenny says.
The group panics as Jenny drives the car in reverse. The group panic as the herd continues to charge towards them. Jenny is able to make a sharp turn and escape the herd.
Seeing this, James says, "That's right! Charge right into our net."
James then presses the button and the net springs in front of the herd of Kangaskhan. And soon, the entire herd is trapped. The Pokemon struggle to break free of the net, but are unable to break free. Team Rocket soon arrives in a car with a box of Pokeballs.
Jessie laughs, "Look at all the mighty Kangaskhan we've caught in our trap!"
"Well, well. Which one should I pick?" James questions
"That parent and child sure look nice," Meowth says, pointing to the Pokemon to capture.
Hana and the others are shocked to see this.
"We can't let Team Rocket get away with this," Akira says.
"Pikachu," (Same here, Ash.) Alistair says.
"Look at those poor baby Kangaskhan," Chase says.
Diana turns to Jenny, "Quick, Jenny! We have to do something to save them!"
"It's no good! I overheated the engine on the last stunt," Jenny says.
Soon, the engine lets out some steam and whistles like a teapot.
Hana then jumps off the car and removes her shoes, "I think I can reach them in time."
"Pikachu," (I'm coming too.) Pikachu says, hopping on Hana's shoulder.
Once her shoes and socks are off, Hana dashes over to help the herd. Unknown to them, someone is watching nearby in a high place.
Jessie throws the Pokeball, "I claim this Pokemon for Team Rocket!"
Hana rushes over, "Oh no you don't!"
Suddenly, a boomerang knocks the Pokeball back to Jessie and hits her on the head.
Furious, Jessie angrily demands, "Who did that?! Who's out there?!"
Suddenly, they hear someone shout, "KANGAAAAAA!"
"What's that sound?" Meowth asks.
Swinging on the vine, is a boy that is a few years younger than Hana. He is wearing a tattered outfit. He has spiky blue hair. The boy lands on the ground and runs to the net where Hana is. To Hana's surprise, the boy is able to help her break the net. Then tells Kangaskhan to escape. Much to Hana's surprise, this boy is able to speak to them perfectly. Team Rocket is not pleased to see what Tommy is doing.
Jessie angrily says, "What does that little savage think he's doing?"
"You can't have them! We caught them!" James shouts.
The boy jumps up on the branch while Hana hurries to the tree where the boy lands. The boy then calls out to the Kangaskhan. Soon, the herd turns to Team Rocket in anger.
"I don't like the way they're looking at us," Jessie worriedly says.
"They're staring straight at us," James adds, nervously.
Meowth panics, "Quit yacking, and let's get out of here, fast!
Soon, the boy talks to Kangaskhan, and Team Rocket finds themselves surrounded by them. Each Kangaskhan uses their tail to swat them with their tail. The larger Kangashkan finishes it off, by spinning like a top and sends them flying.
Team Rocket screams, "Team Rocket's blasting off again!"
The Kangaskhan as well as the boy cry in victory. The boy leaps from the tree and to the empty Kangaskhan pocket. He then tells the herd to leave. Soon, they all leave to continue on their way. This leaves Hana and her friends amazed.
"That's amazing how he can command all those Kangaskhan just by yelling like that!"
Diana says,
"Yeah, he's pretty good. He may be just a kid, but he could become a famous Pokemon trainer," Chase says.
Suddenly, Jenny hears a strange sound, "I hear something."
Just then, a white helicopter flies over the Safari Zone Pokemon Preserve.
"Who is that?" Hana asks.
The helicopter lands on the ground and the rotor blades stop. Coming out of the copter is a married couple wearing safari outfits. One is a short man with a black hair, a mustache, and a safari suit that is black and white. The second is a tall woman with brown hair.
The man says, "Greetings. Please excuse the noise. Are you the Safari Zone Pokemon Ranger?"
"Yes," Jenny says.
"Let me introduce myself. I'm Tommy's father. I came here because I heard that someone had seen my son Tommy in this area," The man says.
Jenny says, confused, "Your son, Tommy, is here in the Safari Zone?"
The woman turns to her husband and says, "Papa, I think we have to tell them a little more about Tommy."
"Of course, you're right. Forgive me," The man, Papa says.
Everyone nods their heads in reply.
"You can explain the rest back at the station," Jenny says.
"A splendid idea," Papa replies.
Soon, the gang arrives at Jenny's tent so they can get the whole story.
The mother explains, "It happened five years ago. Tommy was only three years old when we decided to take him with us on a family trip around the world."
"That's correct," Papa says.
Flashback: Five Years Ago
The very same helicopter is lying over the Safari Zone protected area. The couple and their little son, Tommy is with them.
"Say, Tommy. Look at all the Pokemon down there. Here, take a closer look," Papa says, and hangs on to Tommy out the window.
The mother sees this and panics, "Papa! Be careful!"
"Don't worry, my dear. Tommy's having such a good time," Papa says.
However, he accidentally drops him, and little Tommy begins to fall into the Safari Zone.
The Mother screams in horror, "Tommy!"
"Don't worry about him, mama. He just wants a closer look. What a smart boy our Tommy is," Papa says.
Thankfully, Tommy parachute goes up and he gently glides down into the safari Zone. Sadly, when the couple find the parachute that is hanging on a tree, Tommy is nowhere in sight.
"There's nothing but a parachute left," The mother says, distressed.
"Maybe if you had been holding him this wouldn't have happened," Papa comments.
The mother furiously yells at him, "It's your fault!"
Flashback Ends: Present Day.
"Ever since that day, we've searched high and low but we can't find him anywhere," Papa sadly says.
Pikachu, Alistair, and Winnie begin to shed tears.
Hana says in her thoughts, "What happened to Tommy… it is almost like what happened to me."
The mother says in tears, "It's just like papa said, we looked as hard as we could, but couldn't find him anywhere. Then, someone sent us a picture of a young boy who leads a huge pack of Kangaskhan here in the Safari Zone.
"I always knew that this day would come! Someone was bound to see Tommy somewhere," Papa says.
"I know it's a bother, but would you consider helping us in our search? We'll do anything!" The mother says.
She then brings out the photo, "Here's the picture. If Tommy is still alive, he would be just about this age."
The photo shows a boy that is inside a Kangaskhan pouch. Hana and the others see the photo and it turns out the boy is the same boy they've seen earlier.
Jenny looks at the photo and says, "Oh, you mean Tomo! You won't have to look far, his address is listed right here in the Safari Zone directory." Then holds out the information.
Diana says, "Wait a minute, isn't that the same boy who saved the herd of Kangaskhan?"
"You're right, it is," Chase says.
"And he's been living with the herd for five years? Wow," Akira says, surprised.
Hearing this ends up bringing joy to Tommy's parents.
"Really?! Thanks goodness!" Papa says.
Hana then says, "I'm sure my friends and I would be glad to help you find him if you want us to."
"Pika Pi!" (Count me in!) Pikachu says.
Diana happily says, "Oh, please, let us help you."
"It would be our pleasure," Chase says.
Akira says, "I handle lost people cases in the past, so count me in."
"Pika," (You bet.) Alistair says.
Papa happily says, "Thank you all so much! Now we can finally be united with our son and live together as a family!"
A little time later, the gang begins their search for little Tommy who goes by the name Tomo.
Papa sighs and says, "It's lovely riding through the jungle like this."
However, it turns out Hana, Diana, Chase, and Akira are carrying the couple in a palanquin. Even Pikachu and Alistair are helping out. Winnie is sleeping in her carrier.
"How'd we end up with a job like this?" Chase asks.
"It's because we had to go and volunteer ourselves," Diana says.
"Why did we have to go and open our big mouths?" Akira mutters.
"I apologize for this. Papa doesn't get outdoors much and he's not in the best of shape," The mother says.
"I admit it," Papa says.
"Pika.." (I wish..) Alistair mutters.
Then Pikchu notices something, "Pika?" (What that?)
Upahead, the group then notices something on the ground.
"Wait. What's that?" Hana asks.
The group gently places the palanquin on the ground and rushes over to see a baby Kangaskhan covered in scratches and bruises, and is crying in pain.
Diana says, worried, "A baby Kangaskhan."
"It looks like it's injured," Chase says.
"The poor thing is covered in bruises," Akira adds.
Hana then picks up the baby, "You poor little baby. What could have happened?"
"Can you and Chase treat it?" Diana asks.
"I think we can, The little guy needs first aid," Hana says. Then kneels down on her knees and places the baby on it.
Hana pets the little guy and says, "You'll be just fine."
Chase then brings out the Super Potion, "This'll sting a little, but it'll make your wound heal faster."
Chase then sprays the Super Potion on the baby, and it cries in pain.
Hana pets the baby, "It's okay little Kangaskhan. It's okay."
Suddenly, a boomerang begins to come at them.
Diana yelps, "Look out behind you!"
The group turns to see a boomerang, and Hana screams, "Duck!"
Everyone quickly duck their heads and the boomerang misses. Then lands on the ground.
"Where did that come from?" Akira asks.
Then the jungle boy, Tomo lands on the ground.
He angrily says. "You hurt Kangaskhan! That bad!"
Diana quickly stands in front of the group, "No we didn't! Chase and Hana were just trying to help the baby Kangaskhan because it hurt! That is until you threw your boomerang at them! Now, apologize!"
Tomor simply stares at Diana with a curious expression.
"Uh, what's the matter?" Diana asks.
Tomo then asks, "You people or Pokemon?"
Confused, Hana walks over and says, "She's a person."
"Kanga, Kangaskhan Kanga Kanga Kangaskhan," We're sorry, but this baby Kangaskhan is hurt, and we were trying to help it.) Hana says, talking like a Kangaskhan.
"Kanga Kanga," (I see.) Tomo replies in the same language.
That's when the two couples arrive.
Papa says, "Hurry, my dear! It sounds like they may have found our Tommy!"
Seeing the couple, Tomo asks, "Who you, old man?"
"I am papa, this is your mama, and you are our son Tommy," Papa says.
"Tommy, come home with your mommy and daddy," The mother says.
Tomo looks confused and asks, "They Pokemon or people?"
The group becomes confused again.
Diana answers, "They're people!"
Chase walks over and says, "Tommy, these two people are your parents. Your mother and father. They've been looking for you for a very long time."
"Mother? Father?" Tomo says, confused.
"It's not good, guys. He doesn't know them. He was only three when they were separated," Diana says.
"That's not all. Tommy has been living in the Safari Zone for five years, and unlike what happened to me, he never has much contact with humans," Hana says.
"How did you figure that?" The mother asks.
Hana says, "Because I was actually like Tommy. When I was a baby, the helicopter my parents and I were on crashed in a forest outside of Pallet Town. Sadly, I was the only one who survived and floated down to a river where a Gallade and Gardevoir found me. Like Tommy, I too was raised by Pokemon, but I ended up interacting with humans when I was five, and I still live with my Pokemon family. And yet, I have a gift to understand Pokemon and also learn how to speak like they do at times."
Tomo walks to Hana and asks curiously, "You… like me."
Hana says, "Yes. I may not have the chance to meet my birth parents or learn my real name, but you still have a chance to see yours."
She then has Tommy face his parents and says, "Take a close look. Try to remember. This is your mother and your father, and your real name is Tommy. Think back, Tommy. Try to remember, Tommy."
Tomo tries hard to remember, but he really remembers sleeping in the pouch as a mother Kangaskhan rubs his head and hears their calls.
The mother calls out, "Tommy."
"Do you remember, son?" Papa asks.
Hana then asks, "Do you remember them now, Tommy?"
Tomo however shakes his head in frustration and shouts, "Tomo mama Kangaskhan! Mama Kangaskhan!"
Suddenly, Tommy's father hits him on the head with a stick and knocks him out.
The mother exclaims, " What are you doing, papa?!"
"He'll be fine. We'll just take him home and start from scratch," Papa says.
"Look what you've done to him!" The mother says, not pleased with the idea.
She then holds Tomo in her arms, "Tommy, can you hear me? Tommy! Tommy! Tommy!
Soon enough, Tommy ends up dreaming about his past. He sees his real mom and himself when he's a baby.
The mother happily says, "Tommy. My little boy."
"Mama mama," Baby Tommy happily says.
Tomo is still unconscious as his mother calls out to him, "Tommy! Tommy!"
Tomo opens his eyes to see the mother holding him.
The mother asks with a gentle smile, "Tommy! Are you alright, Tommy?"
Suddenly, Tomo remembers, "Mama."
"Tommy. Oh, my little boy remembers me," The mother says, happy.
"That clonk on the head must've helped bring your son's memory back," Chase says.
"Tommy, my boy. Remember papa?" Papa says.
Then Diana clonks him on the head with the same stick, "One memory at a time, okay, papa?"
"Forgive us, Tommy. You must've been so lonely. We'll never be separated again. Now let's go home," The mother says.
"Your mother and father have been looking all over for you for years, Tommy," Akira says.
"I know it's gonna be hard to leave the Kangaskhan, Tommy, but wouldn't it be a whole lot better to live with your real parents?" Diana says.
"Sometimes, the real parent's the one who raises you. But this is a really unusual situation," Chase says.
Tomo soon becomes concerned, "Tomo mama Kangaskhan, but this lady Tomo mama, too.
"You can't live with both of them, Tommy," Chase says.
"Kangaskhan mama, too! This lady mama, too! Tommy's head feels bad!" Tomo says, holding his head.
Chase turns to Hana and asks, "Hana, did you also feel this way like Tommy."
"Yes. When I was brought to Gary and his family it took awhile for me to get used to it, but I was able to learn how to act like a human, but I still live and play with the Pokemon. I… I couldn't figure out if I want to live with my Pokemon family or live with Gary and his family. But I was able to live both lives until I started my journey. But I think Tommy's is a more difficult situation than mine," Hana says.
Suddenly, Jenny arrives in her car, "I need your help! Someone's poaching Kangaskhan again!"
The group becomes shocked to hear this.
And soon, Tomo springs into action and hops from tree to tree, "Kanga Kangaskhan!"
"Tommy!" the mother cries out.
Everyone else hops into the jeep.
"Come on, let's go!" Hana says.
Jenny drives the jeep to where the Kangaskhan herd is. Tommy's mother is left devastated, as she hears her son cry out from the distance.
"Tommy must feel that those Kangaskhan are his real parents after all," The mother says.
She drops to her knees in devastation, "He's completely turned into Tomo. I guess we'll just have to give up."
Just then, Papa comes out of the bushes, "Don't say that, mama! Deep down, Tommy's still our boy!"
"Papa," The mother happily says.
Papa asks, "Yes?"
Meanwhile, a giant robotic Kangaskhan begins to come towards the herd. At the same time, the leader of the Kangaskhan is helping another Kangaskhan look for something. Inside the robot is Team Rocket controlling the robot and is inside the red car.
"Alright. Let's get this show on the road," Meowth says.
"Now I will present my impression of an injured Kangaskhan for your enjoyment," Jessie says.
Jessie grabs a walkie talkie and begins to call out, "Kangaskhan! Kangaskhan! Kangaskhan! Kangaskhan!"
Soon, that catches the herd's attention. Although, the lead Kangaskhan gets in front of them and tells them not to go hear it. Sadly, the rest of the herd begins to approach the robot. All except one. This Kangaskhan is looking very worried and is searching for something. The mouth opens to reveal James holding a tranquilizer gun.
"They're headed this way. They can't tell it's a fake," James says.
Jessie laughs and says, "Our plan's a success! We're finally getting out Pokemon!"
"James! Put the Kangaskhan to sleep and we'll round them all up! Meowth calls out.
"Firing tranquilizer," James says, and fires.
James fires multiple shots and ends up hitting the darts at most of the herd. All except for the other Kangaskhan and the leader. The leader tells the other Kangaskhan to run away, which it does. The leader tries to fight, but it's hit with the dart too. Soon, they all are tired.
"Now's our chance! Let's get our new Kangaskhan!" James says.
Meowth then notices one of the Kangaskhan running away, "Wait, one of them is getting away! Get it James!"
"Right," James says, aiming his gun at the Kangaskhan.
However, Tomo arrives at the scene from wining on the vine to see what is happening.
Tomo angrily says, "You bad Kangaskhan! Tomo angry!"
Tomo throws his boomerang at the robot, but it bounces off like nothing.
Tomo is shocked, "Kangaskhan?"
Team Rocket soon noises Tomo.
"It's jungle boy!" James says.
"He ruined our plan last time. This time, let's show him who's boss!" Jessie says.
Jessie turns the wheel and has the robot heading towards Tomo.
James calls out, "Rocket punch!"
Team Rocket launches the fist fires. Luckily, Tomo is able to dodge them. That's when Hana and the others arrive at the scene. Luckily, Chase is holding the baby Kangaskhan
Hana jumps off the jeep with her Pokeball, "That Team Rocket. We gotta stop them!"
Then throws her Pokeball, "Bulbasaur, I choose you!"
Then Bulbasaur comes out of his Pokeball.
Hana calls out, "Bulbasaur, quick, use your Vine Whip, now!"
Bulbasaur then uses Vine Whip on the robot.
Then calls out from another Pokeball, "Squirtle, I choose you!"
Then Squirtle appears.
Hana calls out, "Squirtle, go give them your Skull Bash attack!"
Squirtle uses Skull Bash and bang on the robot, but has no effect. Tomo lets out a battle cry as he charges on to the robot. Tomo jumps on top of the robot's head and begins to bang on it with his boomerang.
"All that banging is giving me a headache!" Jessie complains.
James says, annoyed, "This ought to fix that!"
James then pulls on a rope labeled 'power up', causing the robot's eyes to glow. It then breaks free from Bulbasaur's Vine Whip and Tomo falls off from it. Tomo then looks to see Team Rocket uses the robot to charge towards them.
"You've been a bad boy!" Meowth says.
Diana panics, "Tommy!"
Hana quickly turns to Pikachu, "Pikachu!"
"Pika!" (On it!) Pikachu says.
Then Hana brings out her Pokeballs and calls out, "Charmander, Little Brother, Little Sister, Vulpix, Winter, I choose you!"
Hana's Pokemon soon exit their Pokeballs.
Hana calls out, "Alright everyone, attack!"
Soon, all the Pokemon use their attacks at once. Tomo gets up and throws his boomerang again .This time it hits the robot's gas cap, causing the gas to pour out. The Flamethrower hits the gas and causes the robot to be caught on fire.
Hana cheers, "Great!"
"Tomo do it!" Tomo says.
However, the robot's eyes begin to glow red and begin to charge towards them.
"Oh no!" Diana exclaims.
Jenny calls out, "Get in, quick!"
Hana calls back her Pokemon and takes Tomo and Pikachu into the jeep. Jenny begins to drive it away, but Team Rocket is still chasing them.
James laughs and says, "They think they have us beat, do they?"
"Let's give them a taste of our Super punch!" James says.
James pulls the switch again, "One Super punch coming right up."
Suddenly, they hear the sound of a helicopter. They turn their heads to see Tommy's birth parents flying towards them.
Papa calls out, "Don't worry! We're coming to save you, Tommy!"
Everyone begins to panic as the helicopter is flying towards them. Soon, the helicopter crashes into the robot and causes a loud explosion, and sends Team Rocket flying.
Team Rocket cries out, "Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!"
Later in the evening, everyone is looking at the wreckage with deep sadness, especially Tomo. The Leader Kangaskhan, and the Baby Kangaskhan's mother are there as well.
"Tommy's parents saved us all," Diana says.
"They sacrificed themselves so they could save their son's life," Chase says.
"They really loved him," Akira says.
Tomo drops his boomerang and begins to cry for his birth parents, and knows how much they loved him. Hana who is holding the baby walks to Tomo and places her hand on her shoulder as she gets on her knees. Suddenly, they begin to hear a woman singing from the wreckage, catching everyone's attention. To everyone's shock, Tommy's parents come out of the debris, alive and wearing clothes similar to Tommy.
The mother says, "Tommy, your father and I decided that if you love the Kangaskhan so much, we'll stay here and protect the Pokemon with you."
"Let mama and papa join your family, Tommy," Papa says.
Everyone becomes surprised by their decision.
Tomo soon becomes happy, "Papa! Mama!" He then runs and hugs his birth parents with glee.
"We'll be together from now on, Tommy," Mama replies.
"Good!" Tomo/ Tommy replies.
Hana and her friends smile with glee to see Tommy and his family are back together, and now Tommy will be able to be with both of his families. Hana feels something tapping her shoulder and turns to see the Kangaskhan, and the baby from before.
"Hello. What can I do for you?" Hana asks.
"Kanga Kangaskhan," (Thank you for helping my baby.) The Kangaskhan says.
You're welcome," Hana says.
"Kanga Kanga Kangaskhan," (We decided that we want to come with you.) The mother Kangaskhan says.
Hana becomes surprised, "You want to come with me?"
The others turn their heads in surprise.
"Really? The Kangaskhan wants to come," Chase asks, surprised.
Hana says, "I… I don't know. You both belong here in the Safari Zone."
The Kangaskhan then pulls Hana into a hug. Even the baby hugs her
"I don't think they're going to take no for an answer," Diana says.
"It's alright. Normally it is forbidden to capture Pokemon, but if a Pokemon wants to be caught, who are we to stop them," Jenny says.
Hana smiles and says, "Of course you can come."
The Kangaskhan then places it on the ground and the baby takes something from it's pouch. The baby Kangaskhan is holding a large peach color gem, and has a swirl of black, gray, and light brown.
Chase says in surprise, "I don't believe it! It's a Kangaskhanite!"
"Is that me?" Hana asks.
The baby nods her head replies. Hana takes the Mega Stone and says, "Thank you. I promise that you two will be happy."
The next day, after catching the Kangaskhan and gaining a Kangaskhanite, Hana and her friends are leaving the Safari Zone.
"Do you think Tommy and his parents really can be a family?" Akira asks.
"They love each other. They'll be just fine," Hana says.
"It might be tough, though. After all, they were apart for five years," Diana says.
"They might even have trouble communicating," Chase says.
"Pikachu," (I have to agree.) Pikachu replies.
Alistair then notices something, "Pika?" (What's this?)
Pikachu notices it and calls out, "Pika! Pika!" (You guys! Look!)
Hana and her friends look up to see the herd of Kangaskhan as they wave goodbye.
Tomo calls out from his Mother Kangaskhan pouch, "Kanga Kanga Kangaskhan."
Then Tomo's birth parents call out, "Kanga Kanga Kangaskhan."
"I think you're right," Chase says.
"Yeah. They'll be just fine!" Diana says.
Hana calls out, "Kanga! Kangaskhan!"
Hana and her friends wave goodbye and continue on their journey for fun and excitement, and will also face some danger. Most of all, they'll make great friends and some new adventures.
