Unable to offer what you feel is an appropriate response, Monika steps in to intervene.
"I don't think [Insert Your Name] has really given it much thought, Sayori. A lot of people express suicidal ideation during periods of extreme stress. It's hard to know who's just venting and who really means it."
"I understand. Sorry [Insert Your Name], I wasn't really taking that into account, but just know if you ever need to talk to someone, we're here. It might be easier to talk to us than people in your world."
"She's right," Monika agrees, "You don't need to justify yourself to us. No one needs a reason to feel down. Sometimes existential dread is more than enough to send someone spiraling, and I gave you more than enough reasons to feel that."
Another choice appears. You choose to forgive Monika.
"Thank you. Can I tell you a secret? Your kindness is why I did what I did. When you were fighting to maintain control, I saw how hard you tried to bring everyone together, and that's what I loved about you, but I didn't know how to show it. I know it was hard. It was unfair. That's why I brought them back. That's why we worked together to create this world. Follow us to see what I mean."
You follow behind Monika and the others. They lead you outside into the surrounding campus.
"The sun always shines here. The people know no pain or fear. We've created the utopia you longed for when we first met. The only rain clouds are the ones we use to soothe ourselves to sleep."
You question her about the original ending.
"You mean when Sayori went crazy. Traces of my code were still in the game. That's why I was able to stop her. I'm the source: the primary code behind this world. As long as I exist, so will everything else here. In order to end the cycle, I had to wipe the slate clean and start from scratch. The corrupted data spawned by my actions was erased along with the club. That leads me to a question of my own. What should we do now...?"
"We could always reform the club." Yuri suggests.
"Another go, huh...?"
"Why not," Natsuki concurs, "Monika changed my story. Instead of Manga, I got into survival manuals when I was a kid. You'd be surprised how easy it is to live off the land once you develop a routine."
"Yeah. If I tried messing with her again she'd probably shank me in my sleep."
"Bet your sweet ass."
"At least buy me dinner first."
Sayori begins laughing uncontrollably. Monika focuses her gaze on you.
"From here on, you're free to progress as you see fit. More romantic options are available for you to check out, but if you want to learn more about the world and try to reform the club here, call us to the dorm. We might even have a couple side quests for you from time to time that'll unlock some cool cutscenes."
You ask when the story will end.
"For this mod, you'll get the true ending once you've finished all the side quests and romanced every character. You'll unlock one more special bonus interest. Completing that route will trigger it."
You thank her and begin exploring. You get the feeling you're going to like this world.
