I'm just going to say that any and all celebrities portrayed in this fanfic is in no way, shape, or form how they are in real life. Disclaimer: to any Taylor Swift fans out here who read this chapter, I sincerely apologize in advance for the portrayal of her here.
Chapter Twelve - Travel On.
By 6:30 AM, we all got out of bed, and by 7:10 AM, we had already taken quick showers, got dressed and equipped, and were already outside our motel rooms ready to leave. As we were already going past spring and nearing summer now, the sun was already steadily rising at this time. It was a wonderful Thursday morning, and therefore that meant adults and children alike moving towards school or work in cars or walking along the sidewalks. The adults wore their typical business or streetwear, but the children similar to yesterday were in their chainmail armor, and still they were roleplaying Lord of the Rings.
We all stood outside in the parking lot, each of us already prepared to go. Kyle enhanced his right axe with Windfury and his left axe with Frostbrand. Wendy coated herself with an aura of black and green spikes, giving herself the Demon Armor buff. She also summoned forth a Felhunter, an eyeless, red demonic-like hound with two white tusks, back hair, spikes on its tails, and hooves. The Felhunter itself exuded an aura the gave the Fel Intelligence buff, enhancing our intellect and spirit. Bebe gave of the Gift of the Wild, increasing damage mitigation and stats, and casted Thorns on herself, sprouting magical thorns from her own body to protect herself. Kathy gave the Arcane Brilliance buff, which further increased our intelligence, and she also coated herself with ice, giving herself Ice Armor. Chris began to put two different poisons on each dagger, one a Wound Poison which reduced healing taken, and another a Crippling Poison which slowed people. Ellen took out a whistle and called the grey wolf to her side - the one that was with us yesterday. She also took on the Aspect of the Dragonhawk as well as giving us Trueshot Aura, increasing our attack power. Finally, Tyler placed on himself Seal of Righteousness, Blessing of Kings, and Righteous Fury. He also gave us all the Retribution Aura, which not only causes holy damage to melee attackers, but also increased all damage we do slightly. He then individually gave us the Greater Blessing of Kings, which increased all our stats. You can just imagine all the magical auras and lights just flashing upon us.
I raised my right arm and gave a thumbs up. "Good buffs, everyone. Looks like we're all situated."
"Stan," Kyle said, "you wanna lead again? I kinda did fine yesterday, but I think you should be lead again."
It was a debate in my mind. On one hand, I still wasn't too sure of myself. On the other hand, it seems that the others here completely trust my judgement. And furthermore, it's not like most of them would have much experience at all with supernatural adventures anyways. Therefore, I slowly nodded in response. "Yeah, sure."
"If you ever need help, Stan, I got your back." Wendy flashed me a smile, and I couldn't help but feel my cheeks burn.
"First thing's first though: let's eat some breakfast. I'm pretty damn hungry." Kathy clutched her stomach with her left hand as she looked down. "Ugh, it just growled."
Bebe folded her arms as she turned to Kathy. "Not just yet. We gotta do one thing before we go to breakfast, and that's checking out of this motel complex."
"Let's get going then," I told the others as I started walking towards the office, and a second after I said that I could hear the others trail behind me.
When we reached the place, I opened the door and held it open to let the others in. Afterwards, I closed it behind me as I walked inside. The same man that checked us in last night was here at the front desk right now.
"I see you're checking out." The man placed a clipboard with documents on top on the desk in front of us. "Just sign your name right here." He pointed towards the bottom of the paper on the clipboard where there was a line where a signature would normally go. He placed a black pen on the clipboard. "Did you children enjoy your stay?"
"Yeah," we all said as I signed my name. Afterwards, I pushed the clipboard and pen back towards the receptionist.
"Here at Middle Park, we strive for nothing short of excellency and perfection, and I'm glad you enjoyed your stay here." The man raised his right arm to wave goodbye. "I hope you children have a wonderful day, and be sure to visit again."
"Bye," the rest of us replied as we exited the building.
After we left, we ended up congregating once more at the parking lot. "That guy was nice," Ellen remarked, a subtle smile showing on her face. I could tell she was in a good mood today.
"Yeah, he was really good," Kathy nodded in agreement. "Maybe we'll be having a good day today."
"What would really be good though would be a nice breakfast though." Ellen clutched her stomach with her right hand. "I'm getting pretty hungry."
Kathy pointed across the street, and just where she pointed was indeed a Denny's building. "Well we could go there for breakfast. We should have some leftover money."
Ellen turned her attention to the place and nodded. "I wouldn't mind going there for breakfast."
Kathy looked back over to the rest of us. "What do you guys think?"
I grinned and nodded. I've been there last time I had a Stick of Truth adventure, and Denny's wasn't bad at all. The talk we had there was a different story, but that had nothing to do with the quality of the restaurant nor its food anyways. "Don't mind it at all." I looked over at Wendy, who was smiling with delight now. Ever since our talk last night, she seemed to be in a more cheerful mood. "You seem happy about this."
"I think you already know my answer." Wendy smiled much wider.
"I think we all know that's where we'll be," Tyler said as he slowly nodded.
"Well, that settles it!" Kathy pointed towards Denny's. "Onwards to Denny's!"
"Uh...Kathy, I think Stan is supposed to be lead - which means he's the one calling the shots." Despite what Bebe thinks here, Kathy pretty much stole the words right out of my mouth.
But I digress; Bebe did make a decent point where I should be having the final say anyways. "Sure. Alright, onwards to Denny's."
Kathy scowled and folded her arms. "That's what I just said," she grumbled softly.
"Hey now, cheer up." Chris patted Kathy's back with his right hand as he stuck his tongue out at Bebe. "Don't be mean to my girlfriend."
Bebe rolled her eyes and also stuck out her tongue in response. "Pft...whatever."
We didn't take the crosswalk. Instead, we just jaywalked across, dodging every car. None of us had any qualms of doing so, none of us bothered to point out that we technically broke the law just now. As we approached, I could see through the windows and glass door that there were multitudes of children already inside, dressed in their roleplay gear. Would they approve of us or not? Perhaps we'll see in a moment.
"Wow, this is packed." Wendy shook her head, her face visibly distraught with dismay. "I'm not sure we'll be able to find a spot. We do need to get moving to North Park as quickly as possible. Even if that means..." But her voice trailed off.
I shook my head. I can't imagine Wendy herself approving of what she could possibly be implying. "I don't think starving each other is on the table, Wendy."
"They hated on us yesterday." Chris partially buried his own face inside his scarf. "I don't know how they're gonna react."
"Who cares? I'm hungry as fuck." Tyler made his way towards the door. "Let's just get in and get out."
"Tyler wait, aren't you concerned they might try something to us?" I don't know if I can agree with Chris here, he sounded fairly paranoid right now. I can't say that the children would still be hating us. Sure, spreading good rumors takes times, but if what Leven and Winter said was true about word spreading fast around here, I think there may be hope for us yet.
Tyler grumbled as he shook his head however. "There's no way in hell all of us are gonna approve of skipping out on breakfast, as Stan just said. Besides, between all of us-" Tyler slightly unsheathed his greatsword as he shot a sly smirk before putting it back in its sheath, "-I doubt they can take on eight good PvPers here." Okay, I don't know if I consider myself that skilled, but I think Tyler is stretching it a bit here.
As Tyler was the first to make his way towards the door, Chris let out a sigh. "Just be careful, alright?"
When all of us eventually entered in, the first thing we noticed was that nobody was at the front desk. The second thing we noticed was that upon our arrival, all of the kids in the restaurant began to lower their voices until it neared complete silence. They turned their attention towards us. Their expressions were rather neutral, so it was difficult for me to discern how all of the other children truly felt about us.
"Still think we can take them all on?" I cringed as soon as Chris whispered that. Maybe we got a bit too cocky.
"What?!" Tyler whispered back fiercely. "I never said that!" Yes, Tyler, yes you just did.
But then the unexpected happened; first their mouths slowly formed into smiles. Then they began to clap. Afterwards, they begin to cheer.
"Woo! Hooray for the South Parkers!"
"It's Octopath Travelers! Get it right, idiots!"
"You're all my hero!"
"Can I have your autographs?!"
"I love you all!"
Words and phrases of just like those were what was thrown towards our direction. And really, I was thrilled as a response. I couldn't help but smile and wave back at those. Based on what happened yesterday, there could be no way that anyone was feigning appreciation for us. In fact, the rest of my party reacted fairly positively, smiling and waving at them. Wendy and Bebe also winked at the crowd too. When it finally came time to get a table, we ended up at a table meant for twelve, but the eight of us sat down. Going clockwise, it was myself, then Wendy, then Chris, then Kathy, then Tyler, then Ellen, then Kyle, then Bebe (therefore I ended up sitting between Wendy and Bebe). Ellen's wolf just sat nearby, though still close to our table. The menus were already laid out. We didn't really time to talk about anything because the waitress came fairly quickly. We ended up ordering chocolate chip pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausages, and watermelon pieces.
"I'm still under disbelief of the whole thing yesterday, us and the hoops we had to jump through to find out about Cartman." Kathy was still grumbling due to the crap we put up with yesterday.
"Come on, a frown suits you less than it suits me." Chris picked up a chocolate-chip pancake from off his own plate and placed it down on Kathy's.
Kathy smiled at Chris. "You are so lucky I have a thing for chocolate pancakes." She then cut out a bite-sized piece of it before putting it in her mouth.
Tyler leaned over towards the table as he watched each of us. "So what's our plan today? How are we gonna get to North Park?"
"Well...for starters, we don't have a car." It was Ellen's grim reminder of what happened to our van yesterday and how all of us nearly got crushed by a boulder, or drowned from a broken fire hydrant.
"You know what that means," Wendy said. "Time to get a taxi - or something like that, yeah."
"Oh don't worry, just leave it to me." Bebe then took out her phone and began to fiddle around with it. I took a side glance onto what exactly Bebe was doing, and apparently, she went onto the Uber app on her phone and began to proceed to call in a ride for our entire party.
"Hey. Look at that." Kyle motioned his head towards his right side. He subtly pointed his right index finger down the room onto a small table fit for two, and at that table were both Leven and Winter from yesterday. They were casually chatting, although they were too far away, and the rest of the children in this restaurant were too loud for me to be able to make out what the pair were saying. But I could see the expressions on their faces; they were small, shy smiles that were displayed, and I could tell that maybe they weren't together right now, but at least both are on good terms with each other.
"We did good, guys," I smiled too. "We did good."
"Aw, they're so cute!" Wendy cooed.
"Proves there are things to be happy about." Chris flashed a smile at Kathy.
"Yeah, you're one to lecture me on that, Chris." Kathy rolled her eyes as a result.
"Alright guys, I did it." Bebe put down her phone. "So in about twenty minutes or so, we're all gonna have a limo to ourselves. Had a few text discussions - we'll be paying by cash." We all exclaimed excitedly as a result, but Bebe held out her right palm as if to halt us. "Um, not so fast...because we're gonna be sharing with one other person. You know, to cut costs and stuff like that."
"Who are we sharing it with?" Kathy asked.
"Apparently, they say it's some sort of celebrity. I don't know who, but take it as you will." I could already hear groans coming out of the others, myself included. And honestly, I'm not surprised. Given our track record here in South Park, we have never had a good experience whenever a celebrity came to town. They seem to have a knack of bringing in whatever trouble they want to pull.
"I know we don't like it, but let's just see what comes." Kyle took a bite out of his pancake. "Who knows? Maybe it could be good?"
"Come on, Kyle, you know better than anyone else here how bad the celebrities can be." Like usual, Wendy is on point here.
"Well whoever it is, they better not act like a total douche." Unfortunately for Tyler and for the rest of us as well, this could very well be the case. No one else at the restaurant seemed to take notice upon the conversation.
"Now that we know what exactly Cartman is up to...do you think we should tell the others?" Ellen asked.
That was a very good point from the blonde girl. Sure, what we have uncovered yesterday foretold dark omens, but on the other hand, I feel like my peers have the right to know, and it is my responsibility to convey that information. If I hid it from the rest of my friends, then they would be woefully unprepared. Sure, they might be horrified at the revelation, but at least they know what they will be up against.
"We should facetime Kenny and Butters right now," Kyle suggested as he stuffed another piece of pancake into his mouth.
"Right ahead of you." I took out my phone and did just that, contacting Butters. It only took a few seconds of ringing before Kenny and Butters finally showed up on screen. They were both dressed in their princess and knight outfits respectively, as we all expected. The background seemed to be one of the elementary school hallways, so one can assume both are currently at school. I held my phone out closer to the middle of the table so that the others could see as they scooted towards me.
"Hey, fellas!" Butters waved excitedly to all of us with his right hand as he held the phone with his left hand.
"'Sup, guys?" Kenny also waved back at us with his left hand.
"How are things going back at South Park?" Kyle asked as he practically shoved himself at Bebe to try to get a view at my phone. Not that Bebe minded however - she has the subtlety of a nuclear bomb when it came to her crush.
Kenny shook his head and sighed deeply. "It ain't great. Um..."
"There's these new fellas about our age - came to town yesterday try'na fight us." Well those were very odd words coming from Butters. What new kids? Could this be from Middle Park or something else completely?
"Do you know who they are, what they look like, or where they came from?" Wendy asked.
"They came 'round try'na fight us, said they was looking for you eight," Butters replied through the other line. "They're kids, just like us but meaner, tougher, and not from here. I've never seem 'em before."
"Said something about a 'Kids Next Door' or some shit like that. That's all I got out of 'em." Kenny let out a nonchalant shrug, and honestly I can't blame him. I have no idea who these "Kids Next Door" people were. Glancing over at the others, their contorted faces and expressions showed that they are just as confused as I am.
"Who the fuck are these guys?" Tyler let out a harsh huff as he folded his arms, leaning back on the seat. "'Kids Next Door?' Sounds like little bitches to me."
"Beats me," Bebe replied.
"They did show this though." Kenny held out a piece of paper, but what we read next confused us even more.
OPERATION: B.I.T.C.H.:
Bro
It's
Time (to)
Cut
Haters
"Bro, it's time to cut haters," I repeated from the piece of paper Kenny held out to us through the other line.
"I gotta admit, it's a pretty clever acronym." As Kathy said her piece, Ellen only scrunched her own face and stared at Kathy in response.
"Does the backside read anything?" Kyle asked.
"Yeah, hold on..." Kenny flipped over the paper and what we saw next made us gasp a little. Well not really. This was rather predicted based on what the other two boys had said through the other line.
Wanted for conspiracy and treason:
Chris Howard
Tyler Hoffman
Bebe Stevens
Kathy Freeman
Ellen Joseph
...and especially KILL KYLE BROFLOVSKI, STAN MARSH, AND WENDY TESTABURGER! THEY ARE DOUCHEBAGS AND SHOULD KILL THEMSELVES!
Bebe almost choked with laughter. "H-how does Cartman even know to come after us like that? And who made him call the shots as to who is wanted for what?"
"I mean, he does have the Stick of Truth, so he can do whatever he wants," I replied.
Kathy stared at me, her jaw dropped wide open. "...what."
"Stan does have a point," Kyle replied. "He has the Stick, so he has all the power. Though I'm surprised he didn't already kill us immediately. Maybe he doesn't have full control."
"'He who controls the Stick controls the universe.'" Wendy repeated the exact lines Terrorblade told us when we fought him not too long ago.
"So he can just scry on us whenever he wants for whatever info we might have?" Kathy questioned.
"Well probably not all the time," Tyler replied. "As if Kyle's theory is right, Cartman might not have total control. But still..."
"This is complete bullshit. This is basically legal cheating." Kathy grumbled again, clenching her fists as she took a sip of orange juice from her cup. "It's like some bad fanfiction or something. Yeah let me just bend the plot to suit me."
"It will be fine, Kathy." Chris used his left hand to pat Kathy's back. "We'll get him, don't worry."
"So yeah, that's kinda what we got for you," Kenny spoke again through the line. "Sorry."
I looked over to Butters through the phone. Usually, if Cartman needed a butt-monkey or slave to do his bidding, Butters was usually first in line to do so. The poor kid had a knack and bad habit of being manipulated into pulling Cartman's schemes far too often. "Butters, if there's anything you know about Cartman..."
"Stan, I really don't know much more." Butters folded his arms. "I guess Douchebag is Cartman's butt buddy this time." That much we already know.
"Where are you guys right now?" Kenny asked.
"We're at a Denny's in Middle Park, but we should reach North Park very soon," I replied. "In fact, a Limo is coming for us in about a few, so we should be good to go."
We could hear the elementary school bell through the phone. "Welp, looks like time to go," Butters said "Text me if you need anything, fellas."
"Yeah, good luck on your journey," Kenny said.
"Bye," our entire party waved to the phone. Afterwards, the phone clicked off and the facetime session ended.
"I guess we know what we really need to do now," Ellen said.
"Yeah," I concluded.
After we finished eating breakfast we waved goodbye to the other children. We didn't really say anything to them, but the cheered back at us, saying that we were awesome, or were heroes, or any compliment similar to such words. Afterwards, the eight of us waited at the parking lot. We only waited for a few seconds such that we didn't really have time to make proper conversation as the limo came. It was jet black and at least ten feet long, more than enough to seat eight of us plus Ellen's wolf and Wendy's demon hound.
The driver, a white man, rolled down the passenger window. "Group of ten with Bebe Stevens?"
"That's us." Bebe turned to the rest of us. "Welp, time to pay up now, shall we?"
The fee was only one-hundred thirteen dollars and thirty-two cents. This wasn't as expensive as I thought - thank God for carpooling. Ellen's wolf and Wendy's demon went inside first. Afterwards, the eight of us went in. There was one long couch that went in an L-shape, and one seat that faced backwards and was against the front seats. In order, it was Ellen, Tyler, Kathy, Chris, Bebe, Kyle, Wendy, and myself. Now the Limo driver didn't mess around - he took off immediately, so that was the good news.
The bad news was exactly who sat in the one isolated seat that faced backwards. What made matters worse was that I was the closest to the celebrity that Bebe had mentioned we would be carpooling with. And this was one celebrity we didn't really want to see.
"NO, I DID NOT HAVE SEX WITH KANYE WEST, AND I WILL NEVER FUCK A GAY FISH!" It's not very surprising to see Taylor Swift getting herself into more drama as she practically yelled into her cell phone. From one who sings so many breakup songs, she's probably some sort of trainwreck, despite her good looks and her purple v-neck and brown skirt looking clean and pristine. "THAT MAN IS A FRAUD, HIS SONG IS A FRAUD, AND I SHOULD SUE HIM FOR DEFAMATION!"
"It's early in the morning, does she really need to yell?" Wendy pinched the bridge of her nose.
"Where are we even going anyways?" Kyle asked.
"I marked on the map to go to the North Park Mall," Bebe replied. "We might find someone there who can give us a few clues, plus according to the map on my phone, the community center isn't too far either." It was tough for me to hear Bebe due to Taylor Swift's screaming, and I couldn't see what was on Bebe's phone as Wendy and Kyle both sat between Bebe and me, blocking me, but Kyle leaned over to see and he gave the rest of us a thumbs up, confirming that Bebe was indeed telling the truth.
"Well the sooner we get outta here, the better." Tyler angrily glared at Taylor Swift. I could visibly see him clenching his teeth, and I can't blame him.
"You can say that again," Kathy agreed.
"HEY!" Taylor Swift made me jump as I saw Taylor slightly put down her phone to stare at my entire party. "SHUT THE FUCK UP! I'M ON THE PHONE HERE!"
Now normally, I'm not a very fiery person, but I've had far too many bad experiences with celebrities. They have done nothing but detriment everyone around me. All they have ever done is hurt the people I love and care about. "OH FUCK OFF, YOU BITCH! STOP YELLING AT MY FRIENDS!"
"I'M A BITCH?! YOU SHIT KIDS ARE THE ONE WHO BROUGHT A WILD ANIMAL AND A DEMON INTO THIS LIMO!" Taylor Swift especially glared at Ellen and Wendy specifically. "I SHOULD SUE YOU FOR HARASSMENT!"
"YOU'RE THE ONE CAUSING PROBLEMS FOR US HERE!" Kyle yelled back.
"YEAH!" The rest of our party yelled, backing Kyle up. This was exactly what I wanted to see: the eight of us having each other's backs.
Taylor Swift growled, but ultimately defeated, she went back to talking on her phone, a bit more quiet. She was still quite loud however. "Sorry about that, stupid kids - can you believe what Kim Kardashian and Katy Perry said about me on Twitter? Those two faced bitches!"
This only continued on for twenty minutes, though those were twenty miserable minutes I will never get back. When I looked out the window, we briefly passed a sign that said "Welcome to North Park" before finally reaching the suburbs. On the sidewalks and streets did I see children our age with black robes and wooden wands. Yep, they were Harry Potter roleplayers alright, just like last time in North Park.
"You weren't kidding when you said there's Harry Potter kids here." Chris was also staring out the window in awe.
"Oh just you wait, Chris, if we ever pass by the elementary school." Wendy's words weren't even the half of it either.
Taylor Swift leaned back on her seat. "Driver, pull over for a minute." We felt the Limo halt to a stop. "Kids, there's something really heavy in the trunk that I need all your help on to carry out."
Tyler rolled his eyes. "Why should we help you? You screamed at us earlier and threatened to sue us."
"Look, I'm really sorry for causing grief and trouble earlier today," Taylor Swift pleaded, a frown on her face with the most guilt-ridden expression possible.
"She does seem sorry," Ellen replied.
"This could be a trap," Chris muttered softly.
"Maybe not," Kathy argued.
I thought about it for a minute. I could accuse Taylor Swift right now of trying to trick us, but that would get us nowhere and would certainly get us kicked out the limo anyways. "We don't really have a choice, do we?" I glanced over to Wendy - usually she is the most socially aware and perceptive of the eight of us, but this time she only shrugged; even she didn't know what to make of this. I sighed before looking back over at Taylor Swift. "Alright, we'll do it."
The eight of us slowly moved to exit the limo. However, Taylor Swift showed up near the doorway, dragging Ellen's wolf and Wendy's demon, before throwing both pets out onto the sidewalk. She then swiftly closed the door and locked it, but she rolled down the windows. "HAHA! GET BAITED, YOU LITTLE RETARDS! I HOPE YOU ALL BURN IN HELL, CUNTS!" The limo came to a screeching start as it quickly accelerated back onto the road. "LATER, SUCKAS!"
What a fucking bitch. I cannot believe that she tricked us into getting kicked out prematurely like this. What's worse was that she had the gall to gloat on about it. Just as the others' faces burned red, I too could feel my cheeks burn with anger and fury as I clenched my fists. "FUCK YOU, TAYLOR SWIFT!" The eight of us shouted back as Ellen's wolf and Wendy's demon got back up and roared loudly into the horizon.
"Fuck Taylor right in the ear!" Bebe kicked the ground harshly as she seethed, just as angry as the rest of us. "I really hope bad things happen to her."
"You and me both," Kyle grumbled as well. "I hope we never see another celebrity again."
"Guys, we have a bigger issue here."
I turned to face Wendy, and she was pointing in the direction opposite of the street, towards a building. That building was beige and read "North Park Police department". The layout was similar to South Park's, where left side was the parking lot. However, there were six police officers already coming towards us. Well, things have gotten from bad to worse. First, Taylor Swift tricks us into getting kicked out of the limo, and next, I have a strange feeling the experience we're about to have with these policemen is gonna be a repeat from what I had the last time I was here.
"More little truants we have here, eh?" One of the officers examined us with great scrutiny as they were already only a few feet away now. "You may think that having magical powers makes you special, but you ain't above the law."
"How about you march yourselves on over to school before you're in real big trouble?" Another threatened.
"Ugh..." Wendy sighed in disbelief. "Here we go again..."
"We don't have much a choice now, Wendy," I replied. "Let's just hope we don't run into Harry Potter again."
"Wait, did you just say 'Harry Potter'?" I nodded at Kyle's question. "Oh, great."
"We have no choice," Ellen sighed as well.
The eight of us began to walk towards North Park Elementary. Bebe took the lead as she had her phone out, actively tracking on her map as to where exactly the school was. The cops were following us from about thirty feet behind, likely to make sure we actually went to school and not tried to ditch somewhere else. Most of us were rather quiet, and given the shitty past half-hour we just had, I'd rather give them a bit of space. Kyle and Bebe, however, were the more chatty ones as Kyle sped up next to Bebe, now at her left shoulder.
"Harry Potter, huh?" Bebe groaned in awe. "I only heard bad things about the elementary school from Wendy."
"Yeah, Stan was complaining to me about it too," Kyle replied as he put his hands into his pockets.
"It's quite a morning we just had." Bebe put her phone down a bit as she stared ahead and glanced at Kyle periodically, now paying attention to the conversation. "It started great, everyone loved us, but then we just literally one-eightied at that limo ride."
"It is what it is," Kyle said.
"I can't help but feel a bit guilty, I didn't think that Taylor Swift would be like this." I couldn't see Bebe's facial expressions as I was walking behind her, my right hand holding Wendy's.
"It's not your fault at all." Kyle held his right hand out towards Bebe.
As we continued to walk, we saw other children wearing the same black robes and wooden wands heading over to school as well. The ones who did take notice upon us angrily stared at us, sticking out their tongues or flipping us off. This was too much for any of us to shrug off. "They hate us or something, Kyle." Yeah, that might be due to what Wendy and I did last time in North Park - especially the way we beat up Harry Potter. I looked over at Wendy, but she only looked down at the ground, likely ashamed.
"You're right, Bebe." Kyle was staring back at them. "Maybe it's because we're outsiders. We're not dressed like them at all."
"I've seen friendlier faces in the Pleases and Sparkles meetings, and that's saying something," Bebe added.
"I'm sure we'll be fine. There's eight of us after all."
"How can you be so sure of that, Kyle?" Bebe directed her left hand towards every North Park kid who glared at us. "If we have powers, and the Middle Park kids have powers, then maybe these kids will too, and if it's of the Harry Potter universe...then, well...you know."
"I'm sure we'll be fine, don't worry. I'm sure it won't be all bad." Yeah, I think Kyle is a bit too trusting here, especially when I have more experience here than he ever did.
Now we found ourselves out on the front of the North Park Elementary School building. The bell already rang, so the children who were standing around outside were starting to pile in. "So we're just gonna go to school and that's it?" Bebe complained. "That's shitty."
"We'll find some way out, don't worry," Kyle reassured. "We'll think of something.
"This better be good," Bebe sighed. I hope this will be good too, but this is North Park after all. Begrudgingly, the eight of us went in.
Now I don't know Taylor Swift in real life, but I'm almost certain she doesn't act this abrasively aggressive, so once again, apologies, this was done for the sake of comedy as this is South Park after all. I'll see you all again next time.
Also apologies for the delay, I've been busy over the past month.
