Miraculous: Tales of Luckybug and Lady Jinx

All rights to Zagtoon and Rick Riordan. I don't own anything(hence the phrase fan fiction).

A/N:(07/14/21): I realize that this fic has some serious grammar mistakes(like, really bad.) The reason for this: this is my first fic and while writing, I focused on getting a story together, putting out chapters, and really just discovering myself as a writer. I was not focused on spelling/grammar/basic editing, to a point where it pains me to reread this. Part of me wants to take it down- it's not a good representation of me as a writer, but on the other had at least 30 people enjoyed it enough to favorite it and that has to be worth something. So I will not be taking it down, and read at your own risk!

Chapter Two: Origins(Part Two)

Percy lands just outside Goode's sports arena, where, predictably, Clarisse is working out. At least, she was working out, until Ironheart found her. Now she's just running away from him.

"Who's the wuss now, Clarisse?" bellows Ironheart. Clarisse whimpers and keeps running, until she trips. Ironheart advances until, one staff spinning, the other jutting out from her hand, Lady Jinx stops him. The staff pokes him in the chest, and he shivers, growing bigger.

"It's not nice to pick on people who are smaller than you, you know," says Jinx conversationally as she walks forward, twirling her staff effortlessly. Ironheart chuckles.

"You're talking about yourself, I suppose," he replies. Then he twitches as Kronas' voice echoes in his head.

"Everything is going to plan. Capture her miraculous, Ironheart!" she whispers. Ironheart dutifully swipes at Jinx's feet. She jumps, and he just barely avoids her.

"Where are you, Red?" she calls. Percy shrinks back, but is noticed by Apollo, who's filming the entire scene.

"What are you waiting for, super red bug boy? The world has its eyes on you!" he says.

"Is that a Hamilton reference?" Percy mutters, but he feels a rush of adrenaline. Throwing his yo-yo confidently, he swings to a stop right in front of Lady Jinx.

"Sorry for being a bit late, Lady Jinx," he says. She waves her hand dismissively.

"It's fine. But now that you're here, let's go kick some iron butt!" She runs forward before Percy can stop her and slams her staff into Ironheart. He only grows larger and Jinx backs away.

"Dang it," she says. Percy smirks.

"Dang it? What, don't know any curse words?" he teases.

"Shut up," she replies, blushing. Percy wants to squeeze her because damn it she's just so gosh-darn cute!, but he refrains and covers his ears instead.

"Language!" he jokes. "We have to do something different from a direct physical approach."

"Ok," says Jinx. She eyes the approaching Ironheart. "My special power!" Percy wants to facepalm as she runs towards Ironheart again.

"Cataclysm!" she shouts. Dark energy surrounds her hand and just as she's about to slap him with it, Ironheart shoves a soccer goal into her hands. The net turns to ash and Jinx backpedals.

"And now you only have five minutes until you turn back. Plus, it's a one use thing. Didn't your kwami explain anything?" he asks.

"Guess I was too excited about my new life," she replies, and Percy wonders what her other life is like.

"Up to me, then," he says, mostly to himself. "Lucky charm!" he calls, and a ladybug printed suit appears in a flash of pink bubbles.

"That's your superpower? The ability to call wetsuits out? Well, this is a cat-astrophe," Jinx says, staring at the suit. Privately, Percy agrees, think we're screwed, but on the outside he just grins and shrugs. "Well, I think the akuma's in his fist. See how it's always closed? We just need him to open it!"

"Your plan?" asks Jinx, twirling her staff menacingly at Ironheart. Percy glances around, and his eye falls on three things: a hose, Apollo, and the wetsuit.

"Do you trust me?" he asks Jinx. She shrugs.

"I mean, we just met and I don't know you, so-wait, what are you doing?" Halfway through her sentence, Percy wrapped his yo-yo around her.

"Don't resist," he says, staring into her green-tinted eyes. She raises an eyebrow.

"You're insane-AHH!" Percy throws her into the air, at just the right angle for Ironheart to grasp her.

"Catch me if you can!" he shouts, lugging the wetsuit connected to the hose. Ironheart grabs him, and drops the paper. "Apollo! The tap!" he shouts. Apollo scurries over to the tap connected to the hose, and switches it on. As water fills the suit he's holding, Ironheart drops Percy, who twists in midair and throws his yo-yo, scooping up the paper and ripping it. A dark butterfly flies out but he disregards it as he swings down to the field again.

"Insanely awesome, you mean!" he says to Lady Jinx. She rolls her eyes.

"Pound it," she says, offering her fist. Percy considers it, then bumps it with his own. Her ring beeps and Percy glances as it.

"You should get going, m'lady. We need to keep our identities a secret," he says. She nods and waves at Apollo and Ivan, then vaults out of the arena. Percy stares at her retreating form but turns to go to Beckendorf. Grabbing the paper, he reads it aloud. "You haven't even got the guts to tell Silena you love her, wuss." Beckendorf flushes.

"It was from a classmate, Clarisse. She's always making fun of me," he says, scowling.

"You shouldn't care so much about that. There's no shame in telling someone you love them, Beckendorf. Besides, I bet Clarisse has never confessed to somebody before either," he tells Beckendorf. He smiles, but then looks confused.

"How'd you know my name?" he asks Percy.

"Uh," stammers Percy, but luckily Apollo butts in.

"Uncanny, amazing, spectacular! Are you going to be protecting Paris from now on? How'd you get your powers? I have so many questions, mister-uh-mister…"

"Luckybug," Percy says. Even before the words leave his mouth, he knows it's the right choice. "Call me Luckybug."

"Luckybug! Awesome!" gushes Apollo. Before he can pester Luckybug more, he throws the yo-yo far away and yanks on the string.

"Bug out!" he says a second before he's whisked away.

Annabeth stares in disgust at Plagg as he turns away from the cheese platter she thoughtfully ordered from the chef.

"Is this all that you have?" he scoffs. "I need something more refined to recharge. I told you, Camembert."

"Well, yeah, but I thought it was a suggestion. Not a command!" Plagg shrugs.

"Well, now you know." Annabeth sighs and orders some Camemebert from the kitchens. Settling onto her couch, she opens her phone to play Crossy Road, but stops when the news flashes on unprompted. The lady is talking about people being frozen into smaller replicas of Irnoheart and she is very, very confused.

"I thought we defeated him," she says to Plagg. He snorts.

"Did Luckybug catch the akuma?" Annabeth shakes her head. "Welp, you guys are gonna have a problem on your hands."

"Wait, but I can catch the akuma too, right?" she says.

"Negative," Plagg replies, popping cheese into his mouth.

"So I can't do anything with out Luckybug," Annabeth sighs. Great. Second-best.

"Well, technically," Plagg says, "But he wouldn't get anything done without you. You're defense, he's offense. Equally imprtant to winning a battle, except offense finishes it. BUT you'd lose without defense. You're important, kid. Now go to bed. We'll figure it out later." Annabeth grins slightly and takes his advice, pulling on her pajamas.

"Night, Plagg."

"Night, kid."

Percy paces his room while Tikki watches, concerned.

"So because I din't catch the akuma, it's spreading?" Tikki nods slowly.

"But, Percy," she begins. Percy interrupts her.

"I'm a terrible Ladybug! You should have chosen a girl or something, I know they're supposed to be girls! But regardless of that, I've made too many mistakes." He begins taking the cufflinks off.

"No, don't do that!" Tikki sqeals, but Percy finishes taking them off and she's sucked into the box.

"I'm sorry, Tikki. But you'll find a better holder, don't worry. I'll find a nice girl, maybe Thalia?" he says, putting the box in his school bag and getting ready for bed. "Tomorrow, Paris will have a superhero that doesn't screw up."

Percy stands next to his father as he washes the dishes. Poseidon Triton glances over at his sone, preoccupied in thought.

"Hey, I know it's a little scary, but those superhero kids are looking after us. We need to show them that we believe in them, and the best way to do that is to show them that we're not scared," he tells Percy. He looks up at Poseidon, biting his lip.

"What if Luckybug fails?" he asks. Poseidon grins and holds up a baguette.

"Then I'd save you. Super-Dad to the rescue!" Percy laughs and gives his father a one-armed hug.

"Thanks, Super-Dad." Pausing for a moment, he looks at his bag, then stiffens his shoulders and slings it over his back.

Annabeth sits in the black car, her hands folded in her lap and her face stoic despite her excitement at being able to go to school.

"Don't talk to anyone dressed in all black, avoid boys, try your hardest, talk to Luke if you're confused, and represent Helen's as you do. Am I clear?" asks Helen from the passenger's seat. Malcolm is driving her to school, and apparently Helen decided to come along. Annabeth nods.

"Yes, Helen." The car pulls up to Collége Goode, where teenagers are hanging out on the steps. "Bye," she says, not waiting for a response as she jumps out of the car. The car pulls away and Annabeth smiles as she finds her best friend among the crowd. "Luke!" she calls. He turns and grins, jogging towards her.

"It's called the Lucky-blog," Apollo tells Percy, handing him the phone. Class is starting in a little bit, but Apollo pulled Percy aside as soon as Percy came into eyesight. "Bringing you the news about the coolest pair of superheroes. Check out the number of views I have since I posted!" Percy scans the phone, eyes widening. Apollo does have a lot of views.

"Why do you trust Luckybug so much?" he asks Apollo, handing the phone back. Apollo shrugs.

"He can handle himself. Plus, he has Lady Jinx as back-up."

"But what if Luckybug isn't cut out to be a superhero, even though everyone thinks he is?" Percy presses. Apollo raises an eyebrow.

"Man, what are you talking about? Oh wait-" Apollo fixes him with a kind stare and Percy gulps. "I know what this is about." Crap, Percy thinks. Apollo has discovered his secret, but how? "You're scared, but don't be! Luckybug is a true superhero, I've seen him with my own eyes! He's going to protect us all, I believe in him-and Lady Jinx," he adds as an afterthought. Percy relaxes, relieved. then, a group catches his eye. He tugs Apollo, who's looking at his phone, over to hear the conversation.

"So you don't remember anything?" asks Leo Valdez. Most of his classmates are gathered around Beckendorf.

"You were going totally ballistic. It was so cool!" adds Nico Di Angelo, a smaller boy dressed in all black with a green streak through his hair.

"You were out to crush me," says Clarisse, crossing her arms over her chest.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't myself," Beckendorf says, getting nervous at all the attention. Luke butts his blonde head in. Percy clenches his fists, but doesn't do anything-yet.

"Please. Once a monster, always a monster," he says. Beckendorf shoves past him and marches through the school. Percy is now officially mad. He goes and gets into Luke's face.

"You're the only monster here, Luke," he says. Luke smirks and steps closer, blowing a bubble in Percy's face, making him jerk back.

"So I broke Ethan's mom's arm? Just because you haven't become a monster yet doesn't mean that you can be so high and mighty." Percy balls his fists, but feels Apollo tugging his shirt back.

"This isn't over, Castellan," he spits, and then turns and races after Beckendorf. Luke shrugs, looking smug, and starts chatting with Ethan when a shout splits the air.

"Luke!" Luke whips around and grins. He starts running towards a blonde girl.

"Annabeth! You're here!" he says. He grabs Annabeth's hand and tugs her into the building, prompting the other students to follow, forgetting about Percy and Beckendorf.

Percy follows Beckendorf into the locker room. The boy is sitting on a bench, his fists clenched. His headphones are on but the music isn't helping him relax.

"Hey," he says. Beckendorf slides his headphones off and nods to him. "Listen, I'm sure Silena likes you. You just gotta tell her, you know?" Beckendorf pales but Percy forges on. "You don't have to outright upfront confess, but maybe write her poetry? Flowers? A song?" Beckendorf brightens up.

"A song…yeah, a song! Thanks, Perce!" He runs out, leaving Percy to gather his things.

"Stay positive!" he shouts after Beckendorf.

Annabeth awkwardly glances from Luke's smiling face to Ethan's sad one.

"Thanks for the offer, but I think you should sit with Ethan. I'll sit with the girl right in front of you, okay?" Luke's face grows dark but then he brightens up and smiles.

"Yeah, ok!" Annabeth smiles at him and puts her things on the seat she just indicated, careful not to hurt Plagg, who's resting in her pocket.

"Hi! I'm Annabeth," she says to the girl she'll be sitting next to. She's dressed in black, with combat boots and a pixie cut. Annabeth likes her immediately.

"Thalia. You friends with Luke or something?" she asks, nodding in Luke's direction. Annabeth looks over too, and sees him and Ethan putting gum on a seat.

"Hey! What's that about?" she asks, getting up and going over to them. Luke shrugs.

"The idiots that sat here yesterday need to learn some respect, that's all," he tells her. Annabeth is horrified- this is exactly what her books say about high school, which makes Luke the bully- but tampers it down.

"You think that's necessary?" she asks, trying to finds the best way to not anger Luke. He smirks.

"You've got a lot to learn about high-school culture, Annie. Watch the master…"

Percy runs to the classroom, where Apollo is waiting for him just outside the door.

"You'd like to be a superhero, right?" he says, a little too causally, as he watches Apollo's face.

"Duh! That would be so awesome! Fighting villains and saving the world, that's everyone's dream right?" he replies, looking up from his phone with an excited smile.

"Not exactly," Percy mutters, but he sneaks the box holing the ladybug miraculous. Even if Apollo isn't a girl, he'll do.

"What'd you say?" Apollo asks. Percy pastes on a grin.

"I said, let's go into the classroom!" Percy strolls in but stops dead in his tracks as he catches sight of a blonde girl picking at gum on his seat.

"What are you doing?" he asks loudly. The girl starts and flushes nervously.

"I-uh," she begins. Luke and Ethan start laughing and Percy turns to them.

"Don't tell me- this is your girlfriend, Annabeth? Very funny, nice little trio you guys have" he asks. Annabeth makes a choking sound.

"I'm not his girlfriend, and I was trying to take it off," she says, trying to explain.

"You're friends with Luke, right?" Percy asks, with a deadpan look.

"Why do people keep saying that?" she mutters, but goes back to her seat, having successfully taken it off.

"I know I've seen her before," Percy says softly to Apollo, who hold out his phone, showing images of a nicely dressed woman with her arm around Annabeth. Percy gasps. "Oh! She's the daughter of my favorite designer, Helen Chase!" Apollo snorts.

"Mommy's girl, teen supermodel, and Luke's best friend and possible girlfriend? Forget about it," he tells Percy.

"Forget about what?" he asks. Apollo shakes his head and doesn't answer.

"Why didn't you tell him that it was Luke's idea?" asks Thalia. Annabeth turns to her, away from the boy she's been ogling-no, not ogling, staring at, inspecting, get a grip Chase!- and looks her in the eye.

"I've known Luke since I was seven. I know he's not perfect, but he's my only friend. I can't throw him under the bus," she tells Thalia, who smirks, cocks an eyebrow, and thrusts out a hand.

"Time for you to make some new friends," she says. Annabeth smiles and takes her hand, shaking it. Maybe high school isn't like her books say.

Silena rushes out of the bathroom, where she's been putting on makeup.

"I'm gonna be late!" she exclaims, then runs right into Beckendorf, who starts blasting music.

"i made this for you," he says. Silena shrinks away-loud music scares her- but Beckendorf doesn't notcie as he start sing-screaming. "Silena! Be serene-a, don't be so mean-a!" Silena sqeaks and runs, leaving Beckednorf alone. He shots of the music and crumples up his lyric sheet, hurt and embarrassed. Unnoticed by him, an akuma flutters in and perches on the paper, prompting his transformation to Ironheart.

"I've given you a second chance Ironheart, and this time you have back-up. Go, capture your love, and bring me mine," the woman says. Ironheart grins and stands.

"Yes, Kronas." Across Paris, the iron beings wake up.

"Castellan, Luke?" Mr. Blowfis says. Luke, lounging in his seat, replies with a smirk.

"Present."

"Chase, Annabeth?" Annabeth, doodling on a piece of paper, doesn't notice until Thalia nudges her.

"Present!" she says quickly. Mr. Blowfis smiles, then scans the list.

"Oh, I've forgotten Charles. Beckendorf, Charles?"

"PRESENT!" roars Ironheart, breaking down the door to the classroom. Chaos erupts and Annabeth takes her chance to slip out to transform. Ironheart grasps Silena and Luke then breaks a hole in the wall, jumping out of the school. The class starts rushing the doors, and Apollo grins at Percy.

"C'mon! Let's follow him!" he says. Percy shakes his head and holds Apollo's bag out to him.

"I'm going to find myself a safe lace to hide," he says. Apollo shrugs.

"Suit yourself." He races out of the classroom, following Ironheart. Percy realizes that his bag is still with Percy and gets up to follow him.

"Your bag!" he calls. But Apollo is already gone, leaving Percy no choice but to chase him.

"It's my first day at school, and I've already messed up," Annabeth says to an unsympathetic Plagg.

"So take a day off!" he suggests. Annabeth smirks.

"Nope. We've got homework to do," she says. "Plagg, claw out!"

"My dad is going to bring in the police, the army, and the calvary! You don't know who you're dealing with," Luke says, threatening Ironheart.

"Don't forget the superheroes!" Lady Jinx vaults in, hitting Ironheart with her staff. The akumatized villain only grows larger, predictably. "Whoops. My bad." Luke snorts.

"Super incompetent, you mean." Jinx frowns, Luke not acting like the kind, forgiving boy she knows him to be, but ignores it in favor of dodging the mini-Ironhearts.

"You wanted the calvary? Here it is!" growls Ironheart. "Seize her!" The Ironhearts surround her and she vaults over them effortlessly.

"Could use some help, Luckybug!" she calls. Apollo, recording the scene, mutter to himself.

"Where is he?" Silena, still held securely by Ironheart calls up to him.

"Why are you doing this?" she asks. Ironheart looks fondly down at her.

"So our love can be secured forever. I just have to deliver a message and some jewelry." Luke fake-gages.

"All this lovey-dovey stuff is making me sick," he growls.

"I'll take care of you too, little monster," Ironheart tells him, glaring down. Luke blanches.

Percy peers around the corner at the fight going on. There's Apollo, there's Jinx, battling confidently, and there's Ironheart. A couple Ironhearts pick up a car and toss it in Apollo's direction. Percy starts to run out, but then remembers that he isn't Luckybug still, so settles for watching fearfully as his new friend is almost squished by a car. Lady Jinx sees what's going on, and extends one staff infront of Apollo, blocking the car. Apollo is trapped, and Jinx's act caused her to lose focus, getting her captured by an Ironheart.

"Let go, metal head!" she shrieks, wiggling in its grasp.

"Help!" Apollo cries. Percy glances at the backpack and is resigned. He grasps the box and opens it. Tikki flies out, smiling.

"I knew you'd come around!" she squeaks. Percy gives her a small smile.

"I think we need Luckybug," he says. "Tikki, spots on!" Luckybug wraps his yo-yo around the car pinning Apollo and yanks. The car goes flying and Apollo is freed.

"Get somewhere safe," he tells Apollo. Luckybug doesn't check to make sure that Apollo follows directions, instead swinging along the trail of Ironhearts to the one holding Lady Jinx captive. He spots Jinx's staffs and tosses them to her.

"Offerings for my lady," he calls. She snorts and extends it, forcing the Ironheart's hand open. "Sorry for being late," he tells her. She grins.

"No problem. But we need to have a little chat with them," she says, pointing a staff around at the smaller replicas. Luckybug winks at her.

"I don't think you should have a chat with anyone but me, m'lady. Besides, if we want to save them, we need to go straight to the original. And he's-"

"At the Eiffel Tower!" Jinx breaks in. "Let's go." Luckybug swings away, leaving Jinx to think about his chat thing. Then she realizes and her face goes bright red.

"I didn't mean it that way, Luckybug!" she screams after him. His only response is a laugh. Grabbing her staff, she vaults towards the tower, where Mayor Hermes Castellan is shouting through a megaphone.

"I demand my son's release!" he shouts. Ironheart, perched high up on the Eiffel Tower shrugs his metal shoulders.

"I'll release him." Ironheart opens his hand and Luke plummets.

"I promise to be nice and say please and thank you," Luke pleads as he drops. Luckybug catches him roughly, swinging to the ground. "I din't promise," he says. Luckybug looks at him.

"Um, ok." Luke runs to Mayor Hermes' side and the mayor signals to the chief of police, Officer Nemesis.

"We're clear to attack," she says into a radio, raising her gun. Luckybug races in front of her, blocking her from firing.

"Don't fire! You know you'll only make it worse," she says. Nemesis glares at her.

"You screwed this up once, it's our turn now." Luckybug turns away, defeated. Lady Jinx skids to a stop next to him, close enough to hear his words.

"She's right, you know. If I captured Ironheart's akuma, none of this would have happened.I knew I wasn't good enough for the job…" Jinx has heard enough. She steps in and forces Luckybug's chin up, making him look her in the eye.

"No. She's wrong, because without you, Luke wouldn't be here. And without us, they won't make it. We're going to prove that to them. Trust me on this," she says. His breath catches in his throat and he nods.

"Always," he breathes. She releases him and turns away, facing Ironheart. Her staff extends like it's a lightsaber and all he can think is whoever she is under the mask, I love that girl. Ironheart starts hacking, shaking the Eiffel Tower's frame. He spits out a stream of akumas, forming a woman's masked face.

"People of Paris, listen carefully. I am Kronas."

"Kronas?" Jinx mutters.

"Luckybug, Lady Jinx. Give me your ladybug earrings and cat ring now. You've done enough damage to innocent people." Jinx looks back at Luckybug and he reads the message in her eyes: tell them. He steps up, slightly in front of her, and speaks.

"Nice try. But we know who the bad guy is, and it's not me or Lady Jinx. Let's not reverse the roles here. If you weren't her, none of these innocent victims would be villains. Kronas, no matter how long it takes, we will find you, and you will hand us YOUR Miraculous. And one more thing," he pauses for effect, everyone staring at him, including the image of Kronas. "They're not earrings, they're cufflinks, idiot. Time to deevilize!" His yo-yo flies around almost to fast to see, wrecking the image of Kronas and collecting all the akumas. "Let me make this promise to you. No matter who wants to harm you, Luckybug and Lady Jinx will do everything in our power to keep you safe." He opens the yoyo and s stream of purified butterflies swarm out, flying around Luckybug and Lady Jinx in gratitude and then into the wide world. In her lair, Kronas scowls and shakes her head.

"That's the problem with superheroes. They're too heroic!" She connects with Ironheart mentally, causing him to twitch and shudder. "Ironheart, they're trying to take your loved one away from you! Get their Miraculous so they will have no power against you!"

"Yes, Kronas," rumbles Ironheart. He scales the tower higher, summoning his minions. "You'll never take Silena from me!" he shouts. Jinx looks around at the advancing Ironhearts.

"We're surrounded," she says, spinning her staff to create a shield. "We can't attack them, what do we do?" Luckybug frowns, spinning his yo-yo as well.

"Well, we know where his akuma is," he points out. They go back to back as the Ironhearts crowd them. Jinx snorts.

"Which is useless if we can't reach it. It's the fist with Silena in it, correct?" Luckybug smirks.

"Spot on," he says. Jinx groans. "We know he's in love with her, right? So we don't separate them. We bring them closer." He prepares to swing out of the circle.

"Not really following, but sure. Something tells me it's gonna be like this from here on out," says Jinx, also preparing to jump out. She extends her staff and Luckybug throws his yoyo. They vault and siwng to the top of the Eiffel Tower, where Silena looks like she's about to pass out.

"I'm afraid of heights!" she cries.

"You're gonna be alright!" Jinx calls. "How do we get them closer than they already are?" she asks Luckybug.

"By using our powers," he says. "Lucky charm!" A parachute falls into his hands. "What am I supposed to do with this?" Jinx kicks an Ironheart of the tower and flips over another one to land next to him.

"Maybe it's telling you to bail," she says, eyeing it. An Ironheart catches her by surprise and she goes flying. Luckybug throws his yoyo out and catches her with it, bringing her back.

"It's not nice to hit a lady," he says to the Ironheart that hit her, smacking it with his yoyo. "Alright, let's do this!" He throws his yoyo and it ties around Ironheart's hand. "Get ready!" he calls to Jinx, who nods. He yanks the string and Ironheart is forced to kiss Silena. In surprise, he let's go of her and the paper goes tumbling. Silena grabs a finger and dangles over the ground, hyperventilating. Jinx uses her staff like a bat and hits the paper towards Luckybug, who catches and rips it.

"Home run! No more evil doing for you, bastard. Time to deevlize-huh?" Ironheart has turned back to Beckendorf, who it falling. Silena's tumbling through the air as well and he jumps, on instinct. He catches up to Beckendorf and grabs him, pulling the string of the parachute. "Jinx! Silena!" he calls to Lady Jinx. She nods.

"Cataclysm!" she shouts, slamming her hand onto a beam, causing it to turn into a ramp she slides down, nabbing Silena as she goes. Luckybug swipes his yoyo through the air, capturing the akuma. He releases it, as his feet touch the ground. Jinx joins him, as he calls to it.

"Bye bye, little bastard," he says. Jinx snorts. "Miraculous ladybug!" he shouts, throwing the parachute. A swarm of pink ladybugs flies through the air, fixing all the damage, and everyone watches it in awe.

"Are you seeing what I'm seeing?" breathes Jinx.

"Yeah. It's miraculous!" exclaims Luckybug. He walks over to Beckendorf and Silena.

"I think you guys have things to talk about," he says. Jinx strolls up, a cat-like smirk on her lips. Beckendorf stutters.

"Oh-I…uh-" Jinx grabs the paper and hands it to Silena.

"I think it would help if you read this," she says.

"They're beautiful. It's a shame I couldn't hear them when you sang," Silena says after a moment with a shy smile. Beckendorf rubs the back of his neck.

"It was scary, wasn't it? is that why you left? I'm sorry, I'll be more gentle," he says to her. Silena blushes and hugs him. Jinx looks like she's about to burst.

"They're made for each other," she says under her breath to Luckybug.

"Like us two," he says, staring at her intently. She flushes. Her ring beeps and she flashes him a smile.

"Uh oh. Hear that? it's time to split. See you soon, Luckybug," she says quickly.

"Can't wait, m'lady" he tells her. She vaults away and he swings to his house.

Apollo and Percy walk into the classroom again. Luke isn't in his seat yet, so Percy smirks and pulls Apollo with him to sit in the seats that Luke and Ethan had claimed. Luke looks over at them and scowls.

"You're in the wrong seat. Go on, get lost," he says.

"All that is necessary for evil to triumph is that good people do nothing," Percy tells him. Apollo snickers.

'What's that supposed to mean?" Luke demands. Percy leans forward, with his chin resting in his hands.

"It means that no one is going to put up with your crap anymore, Luke. Take your attitude and go on, get lost!" Luke stomps over to Percy's old seat and Apollo laughs and high-fives him.

Annabeth enters the classroom with a confident smile on her lips. She waves at Percy but he doesn't wave back or even smile. Her smile falls and she sighs, taking her seat next to Thalia.

"You want to make friends, right? Well, go talk to Percy. You know, about the gum on the seat thing." Annabeth looks at her, lost.

"But what do I say?" she asks. Thalia laughs and puts a hand on her shoulder.

"Just be yourself."

Percy's glad he brought an umbrella; it's raining heavily. The doors to the school open and Annabeth walks out.

"Hey," she says. Percy opens his umbrella and turns to her.

"I just wanted to say I didn't do the thing on the seat with the gum," she says, talking quickly and blushing slightly. He stops her, putting a hand on her shoulder. She stares at it, wide-eyed.

"I know. I'm sorry for being so rude. First impressions can be wrong, and I've realized that." She stares up at him with wide grey eyes and he hands her his umbrella. "If you need help, talk to me, ok?" She nods, taking the umbrella. "See you tomorrow."

"See you to…mo…tomorrow? Ha…why am I stammering?" Plagg flies up next to her, both watching Percy walk home.

"I have no idea, but it's disgusting."

"First day of school and we already have two lovebirds," coos Tikki. Percy flushes and brushes her away.

"Whatever. We're just friends. She's a good friend." Tikki shakes her head.

"If you say so."

An older man in a wheelchair smiles as he sees Annabeth get into her car, after watching Percy stroll through the rain.
