Nezu's phone blinked with an unread message that morning when he rolled out of bed to turn the alarm off. He quickly picked it up and scanned over the message.
Unknown: He's finished. Let me know when you would like to see him.
The number was unlisted in his phone, but he immediately knew who it was. He quickly called Hizashi, who picked up after the second dial tone. He went to speak, but Hizashi beat him to it.
"I gave him your number, just so you know." he responded brightly. Nezu hummed, and a small smile tilted on his lips.
"Let's head over then. When he is done with his work on Friday."
Hizashi agreed and hung up the phone. Nezu turned the phone away from his ear and typed in a quick response to the unsaved number.
We will be there the eve of Friday. See you shortly.
He pocketed his phone and went to get ready for the day.
Now all he had to do was get past the obstacle of one particular person.

9:04 am
When he arrived at the office, he scanned the desks scattered around. Several people seemed to already be working diligently on cases he gave them weeks prior, but he looked over near the break room. There he spotted the blond haired man he was looking for, standing next to a black haired male, conversing quietly over a cup of coffee.
He walked over to them, and immediately the two of them perked up and gave their full attention. "Kaminari-san, Sero-san." he greeted.
"Good morning, boss." Kaminari said, smiling. "How are you this morning?"
"Doing well, thank you," he answered. Nezu paused, and he asked, "...Is Bakugou-san in yet?"
Sero started, covering up his obvious chuckle with the hand not holding his coffee. "Not yet. Late, as usual, I'm afraid. But if we see him we'll let you know." Sero said. Nezu nodded, and dismissed himself with a short wave.
He walked into his personal office, sitting down and booting up the computer. While waiting for it to start, he pulled out a file from his case he had next to his desk and slid it open.
Inside the contents read:
Killing case of late 2054
Suspects: unknown.
Lack of fingerprints of physical evidence, save the bodies
Will need assistance of non-human tech
Nezu scrawled a name under the notes in pencil, when he overheard the door of the main office open harshly. He didn't even have to lift his head to know who it was.
"Nice of you to drop in Bakugou!"
"Shut it, Pikachu." a voice grumbled. A dejected sigh after, "For the last time, I'm not a pokemon…"
Nezu closed the file on his desk and moved to walk into the main quarters. There, he saw none other than the famed worker he was waiting for. Katsuki Bakugou himself, late as always, with a scowl driven on his face.
Nezu walked out of his office, stopping just outside of his door, watching as Sero waltzed over, not fazed by the stare sent his way by the blond. "Late again, Bakugou. It's only Monday, too!" Sero snickered, "Out drinking again?"
Bakugou scoffed, "What are you, my mother? It's none of your damn business." he said, setting his case files down. Sero sighed. "Damn, sorry bro. I was just joking." he said. "Besides, I don't think you talk to your mom the way you talk to me, man."
Bakugou scoffed. "I don't remember you knowing my fuckin' mom." he started, "so go away. I need to get to work."
Nezu observed the conversation without as much as a peep. Bakugou was nothing but his best detective, but he definitely had his moments. This was very much one of them.
He walked over, seeing Sero back up to his desk as he got closer to the temperamental blond. He spoke quietly, knowing the blond was listening. "I don't have to say what will happen again if you don't come in on time and talk to your coworkers that way." he said.
Nezu waited as Bakugou inhaled and closed his eyes before turning to look at him from the corner of his eye.. "...Got it." he uttered, "-won't happen again."
Nezu nodded, "That's what I thought." he moved to put his hand on the front of the file, and paused. He had all morning to prepare for this conversation he was going to have with Bakugou but now he was feeling unsure. He knew that Bakugou was the only one who could do this job, even though he was going to hate it.
"In my office in ten. I have to speak to you about something." and he walked away without another word, hoping that the blond was going to understand.

6:25 pm
He absolutely did not understand. Not in the slightest.
Days had passed and Bakugou hadn't spoken to him at all since the meeting in his office. Nezu could tell that the detective was pissed off (not to mention he was very vocal about it behind his back according to Kaminari), but he was aware he truly had not had much of a choice in the matter. Nezu strictly said he had to deal with it since he was the top of the detectives he could rely on, especially in this scenario.
Nezu fumbled on his phone, messaging Hizashi back and forth on the subject of Kirishima. He just received a text back from Hizashi a minute prior, and opened it.
Hizashi: How do you think Kirishima is going to work with Bakugou-san?
Nezu thought for a moment. Bakugou was extremely intelligent. He remembered the exact day that he came in and started working there. At first he was very vocal about his distaste of having to cooperate with other people since he usually did things on his own, but after a bit he got accustomed to the others.
Nezu can recall when they had a case that they had difficulty cracking with many detectives on the case, but all of it changed when Bakugou waltzed in and pointed at one thing and said "you missed this. See? He was buying the weapon on Saturday, which was a day before the murder."
From there, Nezu brought Bakugou in and promoted him on the spot. Since then, he had been Nezu's go-to when it came to details they couldn't see.
As for this case with no physical evidence? Yeah, Nezu definitely needed Bakugou's help on this. And the human eye couldn't detect a lot of things, so that's where Kirishima would come into play.
He responded to Hizashi with I suppose we'll see when the time comes. Until then, if you see Bakugou while I am away, keep me posted on how he is reacting.
After that, he typed in a message to send to Shota, asking for any further information on Kirishima he would need to set it into the database. Shota was quick to answer.
Aizawa-san: Age 25, full name Eijirou Kirishima, goes by the name Kiri if needed. Will send anything else if requested.
Nezu nodded to himself and pocketed his phone.
He only had two more days until he could see the one and only Kirishima in action. He wasn't going to show it, but he was actually excited to see it all. Sure, the only things he would probably see is it talking, and walking around. But to think of an android, made by the hands of a businessman in secret, to work in his force to help with a case they couldn't crack… it muddled his brain. Maybe if things worked out, he would be able to see more of the android once they find out the culprits in this case.
The only one who couldn't contain their excitement was none other than his assistant, Hizashi himself. Days ago, he caught the eccentric man literally bouncing in his seat as the digital calendar blinked on his phone that reminded him of the situation. Nezu shook his head with a small smile on his lips when he remembered the look of bashfulness ran across his assistant's face.
But one thing was for sure. He truly couldn't wait until Friday.

5:15 pm
The older man walked up to the dark door with Hizashi by his side. His eyes trailed up to the peppy male, his arms swinging back and forth as they made their way up to the secret inventor's home.
Nezu stopped in front, turning to look at Hizashi directly. "Any idea on what it'll be like?" he asked. The blonde pushed his glasses on top of his head, and scratched at the side of his eye for a moment. "You mean things with Bakugou-san? I think it'll be fine." Nezu shook his head, "no. I meant with Kirishima." Hizashi blinked. "Ah," he chuckled lightly, pushing his glasses back down on his face. "He'll be okay." he turned to the unopened door. "If anyone can get through Bakugou-san's attitude, it'll be him..."
Nezu turned away, not before catching that Hizashi had given Kirishima proper pronouns. As androids became more prominent in everyday life, people would call them 'it's. They had no specified gender as they were distributed, but he thought back to when he first introduced himself to Aizawa, and he used nothing but male pronouns for Kirishima. If that was the case, he would need to get accustomed to using such pronouns if needed. Besides, once he was in the precinct, Kirishima would need to be disguised once out of the office as human, and he can't have himself nor his colleagues going and calling Kiri an 'it' now could they?
The small man lifted his arm, his fist knocking against the door a solid three times before Aizawa slightly opened the door. When he saw who it was, he let the remainder of the door open to let them inside. Immediately, both he and Hizashi entered and set to follow Aizawa to the pinpadded door. Once the pin was put in, Aizawa stepped through and set to turn on the lights as the two men followed after.
Surprise and astonishment weren't the words that would describe Nezu in that moment. He stood in front of the android that settled against the wall, absolutely enthralled by its appearance. The last time he had seen Kiri, it was nothing but scraps and an open chassis but now…
He heard Aizawa utter 'Kiri, wake up.' and he stared at the android as a line above its left eye started to blink a light hue and its eyes opened, red like the color of rubies. Kiri started to look around, taking in the unfamiliar figures in front of it before settling on Aizawa. "...Good evening." Kiri started, his voice monotonous, but with a slight gruffness to it as if coming from a deep sleep. "How may I help today, Aizawa-sensei?"
Nezu continued to look at Kirishima in awe. Just the way it-no, he- moved his head around once Aizawa told him what to do and the thin line above his eye ran from a white to yellow, taking in information. Sure, Nezu had seen androids in action before, but they all looked bland (the usual human-like features, with an LED running on the side of their head with lights that ran like a stop light) and nothing like Kirishima did. Kirishima did have dark black hair like a human would, but the red eyes piercing the area definitely gave away the non-human concept. Not to mention the brilliantly hidden LED that was patched against the top of Kiri's eye, as if it was a scar.
As the thought ran across, so did Kiri's eyes, looking right at him. With one step, Kiri was finally away from the wall and crossing the ten foot distance he had from Nezu and Hizashi. Aizawa moved to stand between Kiri and Nezu, gesturing to the chief whilst staring at Kiri. "You will be following his rules until he releases you. You belong to him...temporarily." he trailed off. Nezu didn't even have to look at Aizawa to know that this was hard for him. After all, this was his one successful attempt at making an android and he was giving it away not even two days later.
He moved to speak to Aizawa to thank him, but Hizashi whooped, interrupting. "Now that is cool!" he moved to toy with a strand of the black hair that swayed above Kiri's shoulders, who just stood there letting it happen. "Synthetic hair, and it feels real? Bro, this is insane!" he exclaimed. Aizawa rolled his eyes, and nudged Hizashi's wondering hands away from Kiri.
"Kirishima." Aizawa started. The LED blinked white. "Your mission starts now." and with that, Kiri moved to stand next to Nezu, awaiting his instructions. Aizawa stared at Nezu who nodded in return. A silent agreement settled between them, and Nezu made his way to the entrance, both Hizashi and Kiri trailing behind him.
Not another word was uttered between he and Nezu, but he couldn't help but hear the loud voice racing through the quickly shutting door.
"Thanks again, dude!"

6:00 pm
Nezu walked into his home, the android following him in. He had dropped Hizashi off earlier, who couldn't help but have his hands in Kiri's hair until he was home. Nezu dropped his bag, and turned to the android who just observed his surroundings. Nezu cleared his throat, and Kiri stopped his observations and looked back at him. "It is late for me, so you will be staying here for the time being until we configure another place for you to stay." he gestured at the couch, "you can uh...sleep for now until I wake up. We do not need to go in until Monday, but I will have you checked into the database prior to going in."
Kiri nodded once, and moved to stand next to the wall. Nezu followed his movements, and before he had a chance to say anything, the android beat him to it. "I will power down until approximately o' five thirty am." he said. "But you don't want to lay down?" Nezu questioned. Kiri cocked his head. "I have no need for trivial things such as comfort as I do not have physical pain. I will simply shut off here until the time comes that I reactivate for the day."
The small man looked awkwardly to the side and shortly agreed, before walking towards his bedroom. "Well Kirishima, I will be seeing you in the morning then. Monday will be eventful as you will meet your partner you'll be working with until this case is done." he turned to see the android nod and close his eyes, his LED blinking once-twice-before completely shutting off.
With that, he shut off the lights in the main room and shut his bedroom door.

December 14, 2054
7:44 am
The weekend had gone by fast. Nezu true to his word, had set Kirishima into the system, carefully covering up the fact that he was an android by stating his gender was male. Meanwhile Kirishima had looked into the log, and received information of all the people who worked in the precinct.
So when he walked in with the android trailing behind him slightly, he could say he was a tad anxious. Not because of what his workers would say, but how they'd react.
Nezu had set his bag into his office chair, and turned around to face Kirishima. "You'll have your own desk in a little while." he said, "but I need to let the others know that you are an...android." he finished. Kiri's LED flashed yellow before returning to white. "Understood." he answered. Nezu nodded, and then heard the opening of the main door. He peeked out and saw the two people who always came in early. He was thankful that it was them two.
He smiled lightly and went out to greet them. "Good morning Kaminari-san. Sero-san." they stopped their conversation and said their hellos back. They exchanged words for but a moment until Kaminari paused. He looked around Nezu, and his eyebrows raised in question. "Who's that?"
Nezu moved to look and see Kirishima standing there, gazing at Kaminari. He opened his mouth to speak, but Kirishima beat him to the punch.
"Kaminari Denki, age 24. Born June 29th, 2030. Has worked as a detective since 2051." he said monotonously. It was Kaminari's turn to look freaked out. "W-What the hell? How do you know all of that, creepy dude?"
The chief moved to bring the android closer, Kaminari taking a step back towards Sero. He started to explain, "This is Kirishima. He will be helping with the investigation on the mass killings we can't figure out." he paused, thinking of his next words carefully. "He is an android. That is how he knew all that information."
Kaminari looked trapped in time for a moment before exhaling a breath he looked to be holding. "It would've been nice if you started with that. I was about ready to bolt."
Sero chuckled, "Ha-bolt. I get it." Kaminari flushed, and turned to Sero, "stop making puns about my hair!"
The small man made a move to continue the conversation but the bang of the door stopped him. He spun to see Bakugou coming through, which was a surprise in itself. It was rare to see him in so early but he thought back to his last conversation with the man and understood.
The anger was radiating off of Bakugou in waves, who only walked closer. Kirishima hadn't made a move to look away from Kaminari, who just watched Bakugou inch closer until he was in Kirishima's space.
It wasn't until Bakugou growled that Kirishima gazed over at him, eyes emotionless. "You must be my partner." he said, "Nezu-sensei informed me I would be working with you."
Bakugou didn't respond, and looked around the android to stare at Nezu. "You really expect me to work with this shit?" he asked, exasperated. Kaminari and Sero snorted when Nezu looked at Bakugou disapprovingly. "For the second and last time, yes." he said. "Either that, or you are dismissed from the case."
He watched as the gears in Bakugou's brain shifted and squeaked until they came to a full stop. "...whatever." he pointed to the android, "but it better stay outta my damn way." he grunted, and walked away to his desk, setting his stuff down and getting to work immediately.
Nezu sighed and circled back to Kaminari and Sero. "So keep this in mind for now and under wraps. Everything will be settled in due time." Both men nodded, and moved to their respective desks.
The chief wrapped his hand around Kirishima's shoulder. He pointed with his other hand to the empty desk that sat diagonally from Bakugou's. "That will be your desk for now. Everything is in the database. Possible suspects, traces of what's been found so far, among other things." he explained. Kiri did nothing but stare, so Nezu took that as a sign to let go of his shoulder. With that, Kiri sat down at the desk and set to work.
::::
Kirishima was in the process of scanning all of the evidence that had been found thus far when a hand slammed down on the desk. Kiri looked up, bored as ever, to see the seething face of Katsuki Bakugou leaning over him. He moved to grab at his shirt, pulling him up from the chair. "Now you listen to me, you fuckin' piece of shit." he gritted, "you are nothing here. You got that? Nothing. So you will do what I say and stay the fuck out of my way." he stated.
Kiri did nothing but watch the fire burn in the other male's hazel eyes. "Unfortunately," he started, still not fazed by the hand still clutching his shirt. "-Nezu-sensei is the person I report to. So I cannot, as you say, "stay the fuck out of your way" unless Nezu-sensei says otherwise."
Bakugou stood there, the part of Kiri's shirt getting tighter in his hold until he shoved Kirishima back into his chair. "Fuckin' androids." he muttered, and walked out of the door, making sure it slammed behind him. Kirishima scanned his surroundings to see the others had watched the situation go down. As Kirishima was programmed and told to do, he set back to work.
He was going to complete his mission, whether Katsuki Bakugou wanted him to or not.
