Chapter Five

In case anyone's forgotten, I don't own Miraculous Ladybug or the Riordan-verse. Fan fiction, remember? Not owner fiction, fan fiction.

Un-Luckybug

"Invite him to a movie. Don't humans like sitting for two hours and staring at stuff on screens?" Plagg asks, popping cheese into his mouth. Is he always eating, or does Annabeth only look at him when he's eating? Annabeth snorts.

"Like I haven't caught you staring at my TV when it's on."

"You haven't. I'm very sneaky," Plagg says, looking smug.

"Right…" she says slowly. "But can you imagine that conversation?" She regrets asking him this as soon as his eyes light up.

"Oh, Percy!" he says in a high voice that doesn't sound like her at all. "Will you come to the movies with me? I can hold your hand and we can share a drink and maybe after we can-" Plagg is taken down by a pillow thrown by Annabeth. Laughing, he rises up. "But no, actually, it would be like 'Oh Percy, will you guh-gah-gur-ahh!' commence blushing and stammering." Annaberth sighs.

"Yep. But I can't help it! I mean, I'm working on it, but it's only been like a month since I met him! Every time I see him, my mouth gets dry and my hearts starts beating super fast and I feel like throwing up!" Plagg wrinkles his nose.

"Eew. TMI, kid. But, basically, with out the mushy stuff, you can't talk to him unless you have a blindfold on?" Annabeth nods miserably. "Well, there's a simple solution for that, one that all my years as a kwami has revealed to me," he tells her. She gasps.

"Wait, really?"

"Yes. All you have to do is…" he draws out the s and she listens with bated breath. "Don't talk to him! Simple!" Annabeth scowls.

"Not helping!" Her eyes light up as she gets an idea. "Or…I could call him! Like, on the phone!" she says excitedly.

"Which would work if you had his number," Plagg reminds her.

"Yeah…but I know who does! Thalia!"

Thalia sprawls across Annabeth's bed.

"Ok. One more time," she instructs. Annabeth nods and takes a deep breath.

"Hi Percy! This is Annabeth, your classmate-"

"Stop," Thalia says, making a slicing gesture. "He knows that." Annabeth nods.

"Right. Okay, starting over. Hi Percy! This is Annabeth! I was wondering if you'd like to go the movies with me? Call me, or actually Thalia! Bye!" she says. It's easy when she's talking into a turned off phone, but she suspects it'll be quite a but harder once she's actually speaking words Percy will actually hear. Thalia gives her an approving nod.

"Okay! I think you're ready. For reals this time, you ready?" she asks. Considering Thalia has already declared her ready, this seems redundant, but Annabeth answers anyways.

"Yeah. Gimme the phone." Thalia hands it to her, already prepped to call, and she swallows nervously.

"Here goes nothing." The tone beeps and she starts talking. "Hi Percy! This is Annnabeth! I was wondering if you'd like to go to the movies with me? We could hold hands and share a drink and after we could do other stuff-OH MY GOD!" Annabeth throws the phone on the bed quickly. She's going to beat Plagg after this, most likely with a pillow. Or she'll suffocate herself. Either way works, really. Thalia's mouth is open and the two stare at each other for a few minutes. Then Thalia starts cackling.

"Oh, my God! What was that? We could hold hands and share a drink and after we could do other stuff?! Anna-BETH!" She falls off the bed and rolls on the floor, clutching her sides.

"Shut up!" Annabeth says, blushing. "What am I supposed to say? Hey, Percy! I think you're hot stuff, hotter than all the male models I work with regularly?" Thalia chortles.

"I wish." Annabeth giggles and reaches over to pick up the phone.

"If you wish to send your voicemail, press 1. If you wish to erase your message, press 2," it says. Annabeth's eyes widen as she realizes that she never stopped the voicemail. She fumbles with the phone, pressing 2, but awfully close to the 1 button...

"Your message has been recorded and sent," the monotone voice drones. Thalia stops laughing and sits up.

"Holy crap." Holy crap is right.

Percy climbs out of the pool, tired as all get out. And he still has a half hour to go. He nabs a towel and heads towards the locker room, mumbling something about 'getting a drink of water'. He unlocks it and zips open his bag, where Tikki is napping. She cracks open one large eye and smiles sleepily.

"Hey, Percy! Your phone was going off, I think," she says. He pushes her to the side a little and picks up his phone.

"Huh. I don't recognize this number. Crap! We're late!" Tikki shoots up, realizing that they are, indeed late to the statue revealing. "Tikki, spots on!"

Thalia and Annabeth thunder out the door and jump on their bikes, ignoring Malcolm and the Gorilla chasing after them. They speed past the park-the one next to Percy's house- and screech to a halt as Luckybug swings over buildings to screech to a halt in front of a structure covered with a sheet. Annabeth pales while Thalia grins.

"I have got to see this! I completely forgot! Hey, are you good on your own?" Thalia asks. Annabeth sighs, but nods.

"Yeah, I got this."

"You sure?" Thalia asks, but she's already taking off. Annabeth pedals faster towards the school. Plagg pops out as she pedals.

"Ooh! Breaking the rules? I approve!" he says. Annabeth shakes her head.

"Only for a few minutes. Then I'll transform and we'll be outta there in no time."

Luckybug leans against the statue he has yet to see, winging his yoyo. He hopes the statue will be an accurate representation, but honestly? He doubts it. How can the sculptor do it, with out really seeing Jinx in action? Her smile, her frown, and everything in between. Her face as she charges and enemy, staffs spinning. The sculptor doesn't know. Hell, if he was any sort of sculptor he'd do it himself. but he's not, so he'll have to settle for whatever this will be. A younger adult strolls up next to him, a lollipop stick sticking out of his mouth.

"Excuse me, Luckybug, but do you know where Lady Jinx is?" Luckybug appraises him with a raised eyebrow.

"Don't worry about her. I'm sure she'll be here any minute. I can handle this alone for a while, I'm kind of the one in charge. Why you asking anyways? Want an autograph for your kid?" The man snorts and blushes.

"Not even. I'm only 22. Actually, I'm the sculptor of the statue, and I was hoping for an autograph. The way she fights the villains, her fierce expression, her bravery…" He stares off into the distance and Luckybug glares at the photo he's holding. This guy's a creep. He's 22, and what's Jinx? 18 at best, 15 at worst? Idiot. Speaking of, the mayor walks up to him and taps him on the shoulder.

"Luckybug? Perhaps we should begin? It could even bring Lady Jinx here faster."

"Please, Mayor Castellan? One more minute? She's going to come, I know it," pleads the artist, looking hopefully across the rooftops.

"They're finishing up, ya know," Plagg says as Annabeth rushes from locker to locker, trying to find out where Percy's phone is. She called it, but so far she can't figure out where the ringing is coming from. A sound catches her ear and she whips around pinpointing it.

"Gah! It's locked!" Plaggs smirks. He phaes through it and it swings open.

"Tada. You owe me extra cheese."

"And so, it's only proper for Paris to pay homage to its superheroes, Luckybug and Lady Jinx!" the mayor concludes. Grasping the edge of the fabric, he rips it off in one fluid motion. "Many thanks to Grover Underwood, the sculptor of the statue!" Luckybug looks intently at the sculpture. His likeness is okay, he supposes, but Jinx's…it's nothing like the real thing. For one, she looks ages older- actually, right around Underwood's age. She has a very out of character 'come hither' look on her face as she crouches in front of the Luckybug figure. It's just…wrong, and he's pretty sure that's what Underwood wishes Jinx looks like. But, to be polite, he turns to Underwood.

"Great sautés. Although, one thing's off- I'm much taller than Jinx. She's really short." Underwood sighs.

"She didn't show up. I just wanted to express my adoration for her. Let her know everything I had went into her statue. I'm sure if she got to know me, she'd see how much we have in common!" Lucjybug snorts and moves closer to Underwood. Even though he's six years younger, he's still a few inches taller.

"Like what, your ages? Listen, I don't mean to burst your bubble, but me and Jinx? We're kinda a thing, you know?" Underwood's face crumples, like Luckybug just crushed his dreams. Excellent, his message is getting through!

"Really?" he asks. Luckybug grins.

"Yep. We're like this." He crosses his fingers together to demonstrate. "But hey, I'm sure there's someone out there who like short sculptors!" Underwood tries for a growl and stalks off.

"What does Lady Jinx see in him?" he mutters to himself.

"They're coming shouts Plagg as Annabeth unsuccessfully locks herself out of the phone.

"I'm not done yet!" she whisper-shrieks. Plagg shrugs.

"Welp, his class is coming in and I'm hungry."

"What else is new?" Annabeth mutters. Making a last-ditch decision, she stuffs the phone in her bag and hides behind a door. When the swimming class files in, she slips out, heading outside.

Grover Underwood punches a wall in his studio and immediately regrets it. All those macho guys getting mad and punching walls must have stronger fists than him. "A thing, huh? You don't even take love seriously, bug boy. Calling it a thing…you don't deserve her! She risks her life for you and what do you do, make jokes and wave goodbye to butterflies?"

A butterfly shaped window spirals open and Kronas laughs, grabbing a butterfly.

"Disappointed by Lady Jinx and angered by Luckybug. The perfect recipe for disaster. Fly away, my little akuma, and evilize him!" Black energy bubbles around the butterfly and when she releases it, it's completely black. It flies out the window and a few minutes later ashe connects with the victim's mind.

"Hello, Un-Luckybug. I am Kronas. I am offering you an opportunity to replace Luckybug- but first, you must get rid of him. And Lady Jinx will be yours, forever."

"It would give me great pleasure to get rid of the thing bugging me," Un-Luckybug says. Kronas almost takes away his akuma because of the terrible pun, but decides against it and just smiles. Underwood turns into someone looking exactly like Luckybug and winks in the connection. "You can count on me."

Percy ransacks his room, searching for his phone.

"Tikki? Have you seen my phone?" he calls. Concerned, the red kwami floats up next to him.

"No, I haven't. Try calling it with your mom's phone," she suggests.

"Mom?!" Percy shouts. "I need your phone!"

Annabeth lies on her bed, scrolling through Percy's phone, trying to find the voicemail she sent. She knows that this is illegal, but she blames Plagg. Curse his cheese-loving whiskers. The phone rings, an incoming call from 'Old Lady Jackson'.

"Gah!" she sputters. The phone slips out of her hands, landing on the bed, and she leaves it there, opting to stand and having a meltdown. "Oh, God. He's looking for it! What if he has a tracker on it? He's gonna trace it to me and I'll be charged with grand theft! Forget Helen's lawyers, she'll disown me! I'll spend the rest of my life in prison, and I'll never see the sun, my friends, or worse, Percy, again!" Plagg floats out of the fridge, shaking his head.

"You really need to get your priorities straight, kid." Annabeth groans.

"I know. Somedays, it feels impossible to be Lady Jinx and Annabeth."

Percy sighs.

"Voicemail. Thanks anyways. mom!" he says to Sally. Heading upstairs, he plops into his chair. Tikki perches on the desk.

"You know what, Percy? I bet you left it at swim," she tells him. His eyes widen and he grins.

"Yeah! You're right! C'mon, we gotta go!"

Un-Luckybug strolls down the Louvre, lollipop stick in mouth, looking for all the world like a superhero on his day off. He winks at some teenage girls, fist-bumps a few guys, poses for tourists, and steals the Mona Lisa. Right out of its case. A girl filming the Luckybug gasps and almost drops the phone.

"OMG! Luckybug, like, totally just stole the, like, Mona Lisa!" Un-Luckybug turns, waves, and swings away.

"112? Yes, hello, I'm Anna Louise. Luckybug just stole the Mona Lisa!" an older college student says to the emergency hotline. "Location? Are you kidding, I'm at the Louvre!"

Annabeth found a butler who doubles as a hacker on his off-time. Currently, he's trying to open the phone, one he thinks is hers she forgot the password to.

"Thanks a bunch! And remember, I've a nice crisp 100 if you don't tell Helen," she says to him. He hunched over the phone but at her words he straightens up and shudders.

"The Wicked Witch of the French? Don't worry, I don't want to lose a limb. Or my head." She laughs and heads to her bedroom. Her phone rings; it's Thalia.

"Hey, girl. How's it going?" she asks. Annabeth makes a face.

"We're almost there, but Lucas the butler is hacking it as we speak." Thalia gasps.

"No. Way! You palmed it?" Annabeth nods.

"Yeah. I'm gonna give it back though! Where are you?" she says. Thalia rolls her eyes.

"Chilling in the living room, because Jason and Piper are on a date." Right. Thalia lives with her brother and his girlfriend. "Holy crap! Annabeth, Luckybug just stole the Mona Lisa!" Thalia says loudly. Annabeth flails.

"What?" Thalia nods, just as shocked.

"In broad daylight! Guess he's gone to the evil side…hey, I should tell Apollo! Bye!" Thalia hangs up quickly. Annabeth shakes her head.

"How am I supposed to protect him if he goes and does crap like this? Plagg, claws out!" she shouts. Quickly, she transforms into Lady Jinx and pushes open a window with a staff, the other still strapped to her back. Jumping out, she starts vaulting and running towards the Louvre.

Percy's on his bike, heading for the school, when he passes Apollo biking in the other direction.

"Hey!" he calls. Apollo stops short and looks around, finally seeing Percy. He bikes over to him.

"No time to talk, sorry! Luckybug just stole the Mona Lisa!" Apollo keeps biking and Percy ducks into an alley, flabbergasted.

"What?" he says to Tikki. She shrugs. "Well, I bet I can clear it up. Tikki, spots on!" His transformation washes over him, and he swings out of the alley, heading for the Louvre. He swings to a halt in front of the police force who, led by Officer Nemesis, aim their weapons at him. He holds up his hands. Dang, they even have a helicopter. "Guys, that bug's a fake. I'm the real deal!" Officer Nemesis looks uncertain, but gestures to her squad to stand down.

"Veery well, Luckybug. You may inspect the scene of the crime," she says formally. He grins, winks, and saunters forward, almost whistling. Suddenly, the small of his back tingles and he tenses. Out of the corner of his eye, he sees a white thing heading for him and he tosses his yoyo, yanking himself out of the way just in time to avoid being netted. From the top of a building, he peers down at the squad.

"Don't you know you can't catch a ladybug, especially one as lucky as me?" he calls. Nemesis crosses her arms, opening her mouth. He dreads her next words, but the most beautiful girl in the world, his savior, skids to a stop in front of them. Jinx. He swings his yoyo, turning it into a shield. She leans on one of her staffs.

"Come….Officer….innocent," is all he catches from his rooftop perch. It doesn't matter. He's gonna call her soon. Nemesis scowls and raises her gun pointing it at him. Oh sh- Jinx smacks it with her staff.

"Leave….authorities," Nemesis says.

"This is ridiculous! I could count how many tines you've helped defeat an akuma on one hand! Luckybug is the real powerhouse in this duo, and I'm ashamed that you don't take him at his word. Shoot him, and I'll shoot you. My job is to protect him and I am going to do it, damnit!" she shouts. He's glad she's raised her voice, otherwise he wouldn't have heard her little speech. Shoot him and I'll shoot you. He didn't know that her job was protecting him, was she making it up? He loves this girl. He's said it before, but it's never quite hit home until he's seen her cursing and threatening, all to keep him safe. He can do it himself, but it's surprising that she's made it her mission as well. Luckybug breaks out of his reverie and swings away as the helicopter turns on him. He knows that Lady Jinx probably took off as well, and crouches behind a chimney to call her.

"Hey Jinx," he greets, as if he's not on the run from authorities. She sighs impatiently, also on a roof.

"Lucky, what's going on?" she asks exasperatedly. He pretends to think.

"Well, you announced to Paris that your job was to protect me, you cursed- I didn't think that you knew curse words, even if damnit is a bit weak, and you came up with a pet name for me!" he says, counting off on his fingers. She frowns, unamused.

"I've always had one for you. It's 'my stupid partner I have to cover for because he STOLE THE MONA LISA in front of WITNESSES'" she shouts. Luckybug smirks. She's so cute when she's mad.

"You know I didn't do it, right m'lady?" he asks, serious for once. She nods, even though she still looks frustrated.

"I do. Hold on-" she extends her staff, vaulting down. Nemesis' voice comes over the call.

"Lady Jinx, shouldn't you be looking for Luckybug?" she asks reprouchfully.

"I'm just going to leave it to the authorities," she says.

"BURN!" he shouts.

"Was that Luckybug?" Nemesis asks. Jinx glares at the screen and ends the call. Luckybug snickers and swings down, ducking into an alley and turning into Percy again. Whistling casually, he ignores police running past. Tikki pops up.

"Percy, I bet it was that Underwood guy. The sculptor?" Percy smack his head.

"Of course! How did I not see that jealousy coming from a mile away?" he says. A tourist walking past hurries by the crazy French boy talking to his pocket. Were those-cufflinks? In a crappy jacket?

"Yours or his?" Tikki squeaks. Percy rolls his eyes.

"Haha, very funny."

Luckybug lands with a thump outside of Underwood's studio. "Gotcha, wannabe bug." He calls Lady Jinx, who's perched atop Notre Dame, one of her favorite spots. He doesn't check her location often at all...

"Huh? Luckybug? Where are you, idiot? Don't think I haven't forgotten about that comment at the end of our last call," she berates him. He smirks.

"I found our fake," he says. Her face lights up with anticipation.

"Nice! Where are you?" she asks again.

"Oh, no. This is between me and him. Don't need your protection today, m'lady. Love ya." He hangs up and attaches his yoyo to an overhanging ledge. He swings like Tarzan into the studio, breaking a couple windows as he goes. Nothing Miraculous Ladybug won't fix. But the studio's empty and the lights are dimmed. Shaking off the feeling that the fake's about to go all 'Yoni Palmier' on him, he approaches a lone table cautiously. A note is placed on top of a small box, and he picks it up. "Netted the bug? Oh sh-" Chains burst out of the box, wrapping around his hands and almost making him stumble. Underwood sighs.

"I don't know what Lady Jinx sees in you. A fool who falls so easily into my trap, really. Have we met? I'm Un-Luckybug, nice to meet you. Not." Luckybug laughs sarcastically.

"Wow, so original. Like you'd have a chance with her. You're what, four years older than her at best? Seven at worst, and she's probably a minor. Man, that's illegal." Un-Luckybug rolls his eyes.

"It's not like I'm thirty. And, really, age is just a number." Luckybug snorts.

"So's the amount of stitches you're gonna have to get after I'm through with you," he says defiantly. Un-Luckybug gets closer to him and he braces himself, expecting a blow. But the akumatized villain just steals his yoyo and replaces it with his own. It rings with a call and Luckybug starts struggling, realizing his intentions.

"Hey, Jinx," Un-Luckybug says smoothly. "I've caught the imposter at Grover Underwood's workshop."

"I'll be there in thirty minutes," she says.

"It's a trap, Jinx! Stay away! Don't come!" Un-Luckybug ends the call quickly and punches him across the face, whipping his head to the side. Luckybug raises his head back up. Un-Luckybug tosses his yoyo back to him and snatches his own. Luckybug almost drops it but recovers it.

"Shut up, Luckybug. Jinx is on her way, which was my plan all along," Un-Luckybug says.

"You won't dupe her. She knows me too well," Luckybug snarls. Un-Luckybug shrugs.

"I know you well too." He pulls out his photo of Lady Jinx and gazes at it. Luckybug's eyes widen as he realizes where the akuma is hiding. "And from now on, she'll love me, not you!" Luckybug raises an eyebrow.

"Love me?" He's about to say something like, I wish, but realizes the perfect way to prove his identity. "You're right, she loves me! And that's why she'll be able to reveal your true identity!" Un-Luckybug opens his mouth to retort but Kronas taps in, causing him to shudder.

"Stop this small-talk and get me his Miraculous!" she snarls. Un-Luckybug wraps his yoyo around his legs and yanks, sending him to the floor. He's lunging for his cuff-links, conveniently at the very end of his wrists. Jinx flips into the room just as his fingers brush the jewelry and he jerks away, standing quickly.

"There you are," he says, and Luckybug curses how even his voice sounds the same.

"Luckybug," she greets, but she's looking past Un-Luckybug to him. "He really looks like you," she says. Luckybug grits his teeth.

"That's because I am me!" he says. Jinx looks uncertain and he could scream.

"Where's his akuma?" she asks the fake, who smirks.

"Inside his cuff-links, of course. Grab it if you want." Kronas laughs, unheard by anyone.

"Oh, the irony." Jinx approaches him, kneeling by his side. He looks into her face desperately.

"If you don't believe that I'm the real Luckybug, ask him about our love for each other," he says softly. She looks uncertain still. He smiles gently. "Have I ever lied to you, m'lady?" Her face stiffens and she stands, spinning. She approaches Un-Luckybug, wearing the same expression that's on her statue.

"I hope you didn't tell him about us," she says, smiling. Her hand rests on his shoulder and she leans into him and it's all Luckybug can do to keep silent, although he has a look of cold fury on his face that's he desperately trying to suppress. Un-Luckybug gets a deer-in-headlights look.

"What?" he stammers. She raises her face to him, still smiling.

"You know, that we're…we made a secret promise?" She wispers the last word into his ear, lips almost brushing it. He smiles nervously.

"Uh-yes! Of course!" She extends her staff and pushes him in the opposite direction.

"Cataclysm!" she shouts. She slams her hand on the chains and Luckybug twists around, freed. "We never made a promise, imposter!" she snarls. Luckybug whips his yoyo, trying to entangle Un-Luckybug in it, but he dodges.

"I love you, Lady Jinx! I'm much better than this loser who keeps bugging you!" he says desperately. Jinx spins her staff quickly, forming a shield.

"Sorry, but liars are the real losers. Luckybug may annoy me to pieces, but he's never lied to me." Luckybug smiles.

"Thanks. I think. By the way, his name's Un-Luckybug. Creative, right?" He ducks as the fake yoyo swings at his face. Jinx scowls.

"I forgot to add, no one touches him. Got it?" She charges at him and Luckybug almost laughs at the look on his face. Remebering his job, he shouts.

"Lucky charm!" A spoon falls into his hands. "A spoon?"

"What am I going to do with this?" Jinx and Un-Luckybug says at the same time. Then they head right back to fighting.

"I'm not that bad," he scowls.

"Where's the akuma?" Jinx shouts, looking over her shoulder from where she's blocked Un-Luckybug's yoyo with her staff.

"Picture," he calls back. She nods.

"Let's make it snappy." Luckybug throws himself into the fray and the other black-and-red clad man matches him strike for strike.

"Hate to admit it, but he's good," Jinx says, almost swiping Un-Luckybug's feet out from under him.

"Don't have to rub it in," he scowls. Un-Luckybug laughs.

"Told you I was better than him," he claims. Jinx laughs.

"Don't forget, I'm better than both of you!" She uses her staff to trap both of their yoyo's and yanks, pulling them to her. She tosses Luckybug his yoyo and throws the other behind her, while blocking Un-Luckybug's path to it. They keep fighting each other and Lady Jinx extends her staff in front of Luckybug's chest.

"Hey, it's me!" he says, trying to push it away.

"He's lying! I'm the real Luckybug!" Un-Luckybug says, taking the moment to rest from the battle. Jinx blinks and look at both of them then stomps her foot.

"Ugh, you're both annoying me to pieces! Show me your cufflinks, how many spots do you have left?" she asks. Luckybug grins and flashes them-3 left. Un-Luckybug turns away, and that's all she needs to know. She shoves Luckybug behind her and launches herself at Un-Luckybug.

"Have I ever mentioned that I hate liars?" she says. Luckybug scans the room, memorizing the location of Jinx's staff, a rod, his yoyo, and the spoon. He quickly snatches Jin's staff and she lets him- she trusts him unconditionally. Instead, she uses her claws, punching and kicking at Un-Luckybug. He pins her- perhaps he's luckier than his name suggests, but she winks at him, unzips one of his pockets hidden in the suit and snatches the akuma's hiding spot. Raising her knees, she pushes him off of her and crouches, flipping away and next to Luckybug's side. Her staff returns to her back and he looks at his contraption.

"Oh. i guess this is pretty much useless now, right?" Jinx smirks.

"Yeah." He grins.

"Oh, well. Time to de-evilize," he says, ripping the paper. Swinging his yoyo, he captures the akuma in the yoyo. It returns to his hand and he opens it. "Bye, bye, little butterfly. Miraculous Ladybug!" Un-Luckybug morphs back into Underwood, but he goes mostly un-noticed as Luckybug and Lady Jinx bump fists. "I'm so glad you could tell the real from the fake," he tells her. She laughs.

"Once I figured out which one was really in love with me, it was a no-brainer." His smile fractures a little.

"Yeah. Better help the fellow out, his crush just got crushed." He attaches his yoyo to a ledge outside the studio's door. "That makes two of us," he mutters, pulling the string and zipping away. Jinx watches him leave and then turns to Underwood.

"I'm sorry I couldn't make it this morning," she says, kneeling by his side. She grabs a pen and signs the picture she has in her hand, handing it back to him. "You've got some real artistry here." Even if it makes her a little uncomfortable- he's six years older than her and an adult, she still feels bad about missing the ceremony.

"Thank you, Lady Jinx. And don't worry, I won't tell anyone about you and Luckybug," he tells her. She raises an eyebrow.

"Huh?" Her Miraculous beeps, distracting her. "Gotta run! Catch you later!" She sprints out the door and vaults away, leaving a star-struck artist behind her.

Percy swings to a stop behind Goode and transforms back. Sneaking in, he rummages around the locker room until, defeated, he walks back to his house, getting his bike along the way.

Annabeth takes the phone back from her hacker-butler, thanking him, and then retreats to her room. In a few seconds, she has it deleted, and she sneaks it into her backpack for the next day.

"Maybe you dropped it somewhere," Apollo says to Percy, who looks pretty concerned about his phone. He sighs.

"If I did, then whoever found it, found it in the boy's locker room. I was about to check my voicemail there during swim." Annabeth keeps her eyes on her desk, not wanting to give anything away.

"Do it now!" Thalia hisses. She subtly knocks Percy's bag over and Annabeth hurries to pick it up, slipping the phone in as she does so.

"Here you go, Percy," she says nervously.

"Thanks, Annabeth," he says absentmindedly as he looks over his books in the backpack. His eyes widen as he sees his missing phone.

"What? But I checked here, like, a million times!" Apollo shakes his head.

"You need some time off. Hey, I know, let's go to the movies tonight!" he suggests. Thalia winks at Annabeth.

"Mind if we tag along?" she says.

"Sure thing!" Apollo shoots her with finger guns and Thalia's cheeks heat up. No one seems to notice but Annabeth. Hmm. Annabeth shakes off her thought and grins at Thalia. It didn't even matter that she went through that trauma with his phone, as long as she got to go to the movies with Percy.

A/N: 112 is the French version of 911 and Yoni Palmier is a famous French serial killer. Sorry for the slow updates! Expect this story to update within two weeks at the latest. I have the rest of the story planned out, and I can safely say that we will not be going into Season 3. I think it would be too much for me to handle as a newer writer, and I think it'll discourage me from finishing. That being said, I do have an epic finale planned for y'all. Thanks for reading!
