AN/

TA-DA! It's here! The sequel you've (hopefully) been waiting excitedly for. I do hope you enjoy it!

Please note: not every chapter will have every character. It kinda goes back and forth when they aren't together. Also other characters are involved too.

If you are new here HI! I'm Sierra! I update frequently but not on a specific schedule, I love taking and using feedback as long as it's given nicely, and I love and appreciate you all when you do something amazing like review or even just reading!

Now: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO READ THE FIRST ONE TO READ THIS. You really don't need to but you can. You'll still fully follow this one. All you really need to understand is that Nava and Friz are friends unlike the show (grr) and Nava are in a legit marriage and Friz has a daughter. Incase you do wanna read it though you can find Of stormy night and blood red daggers on my page.

ENJOY!

-End of AN-

"Hey, are we still gonna meet up for lunch today?" Ava asked into the phone as she walked up to the Corinthos house, using the key fob to lock her car behind her.

On the other end of the phone was her husband, Nikolas. Things had been going great since they'd turned their sham of a marriage into a real one. Their new real marriage had real feelings behind it as well as the support of their loved ones.

In Fact it wasn't just great it was better than great. She felt like she had things she never had-like happiness for starters. Not to mention a family unit consisting of more than Julian- not that she didn't adore her big brother.

She was also soon to be a godmother to the most precious baby girl she'd seen in a long time. Lauren Drew Baldwin, Liz and Franco's daughter, was a baby she felt connected to. Maybe it was the name. Maybe it was the fact she delivered her. Maybe both. Either way, it was another thing she never had and she was happy to do it for Lauren as well as Liz and Franco. Both her and Nik that is.

"Okay, great." Ava said as he confirmed their plans on the other end. "I gotta go, I'm picking up Avery for school then heading to the gallery. Love you, Bye."

She waited for him to say "Love you too, bye." before hanging up the phone and dropping it into her matte black purse that she carried in the crook of her elbow as she got to the door. She knocked expecting to be met by one of the people Sonny had "working" at the house but was surprised to find Michael opening it.

"Oh," She stated. "Hello, Michael."

"Hi, Ava." He said, stepping aside to let her in. "My dad said you were coming to get Avery for school."

"Yeah." She confirmed. "She up in her room?"

"Yeah." Michael told her.

Things were weird between her and Micheal, she supposed for good enough reasons. They both were glad to have very little exchange. It didn't matter though, as her having a relationship with Michael mattered little to her personally. Avery was a lot more impartial though.

She climbed up the stairs, her heels clicking loudly as she took each step and continuing as they rapped on the hardwood floors of the upstairs hallways. When she reached her daughter's door it was ajar and she could look in and see her coloring in a coloring book, swaying her little legs that didn't reach the floor yet. She smiled sweetly at this sight savoring it for a bit before walking into the room.

"Hey Avery-Bavery." She said, causing the little girl to stop the rapid motion of her purple crayon and look over her shoulder to see her mom.

"Hi, Mommy!" She said before continuing, clearly eager to finish whatever she was coloring.

"What are you coloring sweetheart?" Ava asked walking over to stand behind her daughter and look over her shoulder. She looked down to see flowers she was coloring. Bright and happy, just like all kids' minds should be full of. "Oh, those are beautiful, baby."

"Thanks." Avery told her, still focused on her art.

Ava smiled at this. Avery was getting into art. Little things like coloring and drawing small things, but nonetheless art. Ava was very passionate about art, being the admiring art lover and gallery owner she was. The idea of her daughter either liking art or becoming an artist excited her as she had so much she could share with her. Kiki never cared for it, but Avery was a different story.

"I hate to interrupt my little artist, but it's time to get you to school." Ava told her going over to grab Avery's pink sparkly backpack off of it's hook.

"Okay." Avery sighed, seeming a bit upset to leave her drawing and coming down from the chair carefully.

Ava noticed this and immediately walked over and grabbed the book and her crayons, putting them inside her backpack happy to find room for them. "You can finish it at school when you have free time, and then when I pick you up you can show me it. That sound good?"

Avery nodded, grabbing the backpack out of her mom's hands and holding onto it, not wanting to put it on her back until she reached school. Avery didn't dislike school by any means but was much less into math and reading than art and playing.

"Let's go, kiddo." Ava smiled, grabbing her daughter's free hand in hers ready to walk her downstairs and to the car.

Just as little Avery's hand wrapped around her own though she heard it. She knew that sound too well, it was a sound that she lived around for years and a sound she knew meant only one thing. What more could a gun shot mean than danger?
