Hello all! Thank you for clicking on my story! I'm a huge Danganronpa fan! I got into it since I was in High School, and I'm happy to be making a fanfic about it right now! :D
Now, I know what you guys are thinking..."How the hell will this work?!" "Makoto could easily save the survivors and stop Junko if he had the Omnitrix!" "This is a bad idea of a crossover!"
But I think that this work! This is my own AU version of Makoto having the Omnitrix and being the hero of the universe. There will be some chapters that are based off of the original Ben 10 and some elements from the Danganronpa franchise, that much I'll tell you guys. Anyway, enough of me talking! Let's jump into this!
Disclaimer: I do not own Ben 10 or Danganronpa - They belong to their rightful owners.
In outer-space, two space-ships were battling each-other.
The blue space-ship was trying to get away while a larger, war-battle ship chased after it, firing laser beams at it.
When the blue space-ship was hit, it moved away and fired back at the war-ship, damaging it a bit.
Within the large, war-ship were a few humanoid robots that were functioning the ship.
"Hull damage, twenty percent! But the system is still operational," One of the robots informed the leader of the ship.
Sitting in the main chair was the selfish, evil warlord himself, Vilgax...
"I have come too far to be denied!" Vilgax said as they continued chasing after the ship, "The Omnitrix shall be mine! And there is not a single being in the galaxy that dares stand in my way!"
Sixteen-year-old young man, Makoto Naegi, walked downtown with his hands in his pocket and his ear-phones in, listening to Sayaka Maizono's new song that just came out not too long ago.
The boy groaned, adjusting his backpack a bit.
It was heavy, due to him clearing out everything in his locker from his now-former high school, Dusk High.
He was going to another school, and that was Hope's Peak Academy...
Apparently, it's suppose to be a school where it brings top students from every field imaginable.
It's suppose to be built to raise hope in nation's future (As to why Hope's Peak seems like a fitting name).
Two things to attend Hope's Peak is that if you're already in High School and you're the very best of what you do.
...He's already attending High School, though he wasn't sure about the other...
By the best, it means the very best. At Hope's Peak, he's heard that there were many talented students that were quite amazing of what they do. When he looked online to see his new classmates, he was astounded by their talents...
There was the Ultimate Biker Gang Leader, The Ultimate Fashionista, The Ultimate Baseball Player, The Ultimate Moral Compass...even the Ultimate Pop sensation, Sayaka Maizono!
He was surprised to see her on the list, attending Hope's Peak and being in the same class as him. It wasn't just on the list but it was all over the news and magazines too that she would be attending.
He wondered if he sees her, she'll remember him from Middle School. The last time he ever saw her was graduation...he rarely ever saw her or even talked to her in the halls. Because she was so popular and he was a boring, talentless nobody.
"Which brings another thing...why me?" He thought to himself, "Out of everyone in the whole entire world, I was accepted into Hope's Peak, and i didn't even do a damn thing to get in. It was all because of luck."
And he was right. It was because of luck. The only reason as to how he got in was because of some lottery they held.
The boy soon came to a stop and sat on the bench. He was glad that no one was around to see him vent.
The young Naegi pulled out his letter and opened it up, reading...
Dear Mr. Makoto Naegi,
We recently held a lottery to select one ordinary student to attend our school.
As a result, you have been selected, and we invite you to join us as the Ultimate Lucky Student.
The boy released a sigh. "Luck and a lottery...that was all it took for me to get in was because of luck. I didn't work hard or even try my best at anything. All my talent is is luck, nothing else,"
Makoto frowned as he continued to belittle himself, "Why am I chosen? Everyone else will have their super cool talent and are actually somebodies, and what am I? Just an ordinary, average, forgettable kid. Average on the inside, average on the outside, nothing more, nothing else. I can hear the other Ultimates probably laughing at me now when I tell how I got in..."
Furrowing his brows and clutching the paper in his hand, he balled it up and threw it on the ground. "Who am I kidding?" He muttered as he stood up and started walking, but stopped, turning to the balled-paper he had just threw.
His parents would be awfully disappointed, along with his little sister, Komaru. She looked up to him, she practically begged him to go when he was having his doubts. He'll never forget the excited look on her face when she announced that he got in on the same day after coming back from the police station...after the Jutaro incident when he was having the worst day ever..and besides, he had just quit his old school too and informed them that he's going to a different one.
Guess he doesn't really have much of a choice, regardless.
Sighing again, he went over to the balled-up paper and knelt down to pick it up. When he did, he un-balled it, folded it, and slid it back in his pocket. "What the heck? I'll still give it a try. If I'm lucky, there is hope for me that I'll pass and succeed without making a complete fool of myself..."
Just as he placed it in his pocket, his backpack suddenly ripped and all his stuff fell out, making the luckster groaned. "Oh come on, seriously?!" He grumbled. He sighed as he picked up his stuff, "Just my luck," He muttered.
Back in space, the blue ship was still trying to get away from the war-ship, firing lasers at each-other.
The war-ship managed to hit the blue-ship, causing an explosion to occur in the back.
"Their propulsion systems have been destroyed," One of the robots announced within the war-ship.
"Prepare to board!" Vilgax ordered, "I want the Omnitrix now!"
Unknown to them, the blue ship was able to fuel up more energy and fire a beam at the tower of the war-ship, giving out a huge explosion as it sent the squid-alien back.
The war-ship in response fired a beam at the blue ship, destroying most of it's parts. There was only a small piece remaining as a pod was released from the ship and headed straight to earth.
"Okay, and there," Makoto sighed, putting his ripped backpack and old school supplies in the trash. He was gonna get rid of them anyway, he just wished his backpack didn't have to suffer. But of course, it was part of his luck.
"With that settled..." Makoto muttered before pulling out his cellphone and looking at the time.
His eyes widened, seeing that it was seven-thirty!
"Oh man!" The Luckster exclaimed, "I gotta get home before mom and dad get worried!" He shoved his phone into his pocket and started running, "If I don't make it back in time, mom will..." He suddenly trailed off and looked up, spotting something...bright coming down from the sky. "What the? Is...that a shooting star?" He asked himself.
The 'shooting star' flew from the sky and crashed into the nearby woods as a large rumble occured.
"Wh-whoa!" Makoto exclaimed, immediately catching himself. Once the rumble stopped, he looked to the direction where the shooting star had landed, "Wha-what the hell was that? W-Was that even a shooting star at all?!" He inquired.
Curiosity overtook him as he stood up straight and dashed towards the nearby woods where the shooting star had landed.
A few minutes had passed and Makoto had tried to find the 'shooting star' that had landed somewhere in the woods.
"Come on...where is it? I know I saw it crash here somewhere," He thought.
As Makoto looked for the shooting star, he suddenly tripped and landed on the ground. Sweatdropped, Makoto groaned, "Seriously..." He grumbled out. This was the fifth time he fell while looking for the shooting star. His clothes were all dirty from the mud and the ground. This was just his luck...
Makoto stood up, dusting himself off again before noticing something from a distance...
He saw smoke...and a bright light up ahead...
That must've been hit! The shooting star he saw!
Without wasting time, the Luckster made his way to the shooting star and saw that a large crater was made. Within the crater was a bright light that caused him to wince a bit. He raised his hand in attempt to shield his eyes from the light.
"What is that thing? Some sort of satellite?" Makoto questioned himself out-loud.
When the light died down, he leaned closer to get a closer look...
Only for the ground above him to crumble and make him fall into the crater, making him yell in surprise.
"Now why did I see that coming..." Makoto muttered. The Young Naegi stood up and got a closer look to what was in the crater and was surprised to see that it wasn't a shooting star after all, instead, it was a pod...
Before he could do or say anything, the pod had opened up, and a green bright light shined within the pod.
It was revealed a device that resembled a wrist-watch. The color scheme was a mixture of black and grey, the hourglass had a weird green symbol in front, there was a green button on one side, and a circular tube on each-side.
The young Naegi couldn't be anymore shocked. For somewhat reason, this definently looked like something you'd see out of a kid's cartoon or anime. "What?" Makoto questioned, "Is...that a watch? But...wait, whats a watch doing in outer-space?"
After asking himself those questions, he hesitantly reached his hand out to pick it up...
...Only for the device to jump out of the pod like a spider and attach itself on his wrist!
Makoto screamed, falling on his butt. He tried shaking the device off of his wrist. "Wha-what is this?! Hey, get off me! Get off, get off!" He exclaimed as he tried pulling the device off, only for his hand to slip and hit his forehead in the process.
"Ow..." Makoto groaned before getting up and getting out of the crater. "I gotta get this thing off, somehow!"
Makoto stuck the branch in the watch in attempt to pry it off but failed to when it snapped.
"Of course..." Makoto sighed. The Luckster grumbled as he sat on the ground, staring at the thing.
He had tried various attempts to get it off. Banging on it, slamming on it with a rock, even tried prying it off with a branch just now! Nothing, nada! There wasn't even a latch on it to get it off!
"Looks like you're not leaving my wrist anytime soon, huh?" Makoto asked, already knowing that he wasn't gonna get it a response from the device. He gave a sigh, "Guess I should see what this thing is all about then," He muttered.
With that, the Luckster examined the device and saw the green button. With one finger, he pressed the button as the core popped up, giving out a beeping noise which made him flinch. "Whoa, man!"
Makoto looked down at the hourglass and saw the symbol formed into the shape of a diamond as a black silhouette Figure appeared. "Who is...what is that?" He asked himself.
Seeing that there was nothing else to do, the only thing was there to just press it down...
Though he was nervous, it was now or never...
Makoto placed his finger on top of the core...
"Here goes nothing," He thought. Makoto pressed down the core as he was engulfed in a bright green light.
The watch was engulfed in his skin as bluish-green veins started to form from his hands to his entire body. When it reached his shocked and horrified face, his eyes they glowed green.
His clothes disappeared as he was now a slender creature, his color being a mixture of blue and black, he grew big blue wings, resembling a moth's, he had huge white, visible teeth, and two blue antennas showing from behind.
Once the light had died down and his transformation being complete, Makoto let out a terrified yell.
"Wha-what the?! What the hell?! D-Did I just-this-I-What?!" His words were too jumbled up as he tried to process what the hell had just happened! Makoto fell on his behind as his wings closed up, giving him more of a cloaked appearance.
"O-Okay...this is so weird! H-How did this even happen?! How is this possible!?" Makoto asked himself hysterically, "T-This shouldn't happen! I shouldn't be able to change into something like...this...and-and my voice! It-it sounds different!"
"Wha-what am I gonna do?! H-How am I gonna get around looking like this?! What will mom, dad, and Komaru think or-or say when they see me as this?!" Makoto exclaimed. In that moment, he slapped himself two times on the cheeks.
"Okay, okay, okay, calm down, Makoto..." Makoto breathed, "Just chill out an-and take a deep breath. Y-You'll figure this out, I'm sure!" He told himself as his nerves started to calm. He gave out a big sigh as blue frost came from his mouth...
Wait, blue frost coming out of his mouth?!
"W-whoa! Was...was that me?" Makoto asked, dumbfound by this ability. He blew out another frost, wanting to see if it was. It was him. But how? How was this even possible? Wanting to give it another go, he blew out another frost, except this one was more powerful as it hit a nearby tree, freezing it.
"I-I did it...that actually happened!" Makoto exclaimed. He looked around at the other trees and blew a frost at them, freezing them. "I did it again! Okay...is this a dream? This has to be a dream...lemme pinch myself to make sure," The transformed boy pinched himself to be sure as he let out an, "Ow!" He huffed, massaging his hand, "Okay, not a dream,"
Makoto examined himself, "Okay, so I can blow out ice. But didn't I see that I had wings a second ago?" As he said that, his wings appeared out, exposing his full body as he flinched in surprise. "There they are..." He said, examining the wings.
He hummed, "I wonder if I can fly..." Duh, of course you do. You have wings for a reason.
Makoto sighed, "Alright...let's give it a shot," He tried jumping up, only to fall on his behind. "Gah!" He cried out, "Okay, so that didn't work..." He muttered as he stood back up.
"Maybe if I just believe it would work? Okay, I sound like something out of a disney movie..." He deadpanned.
Makoto hummed, examining the wings he had. "Maybe if I just..." The transformed boy flapped his wings back as he jumped up at the same time, actually flying into the air.
"H-hey! I-I'm actually doing it! I'm flying!" Makoto exclaimed, though he lost his balance as he tried to regain himself, "T-Though, I'll need to get the hang of it." He spotted the city and he hummed, "Maybe flying around a bit wouldn't hurt...as long as I don't hurt or scare anyone, o-or myself..." He muttered the last part nervously.
Makoto used his wings to fly out of the woods, out of the park, and towards the city. The boy struggled a bit, losing his flying balance a bit but managed to get the hang of it some.
Some of the citizens spotted the creature, shocked by it's presence. Some wondered what it was, some thought their eyes were playing tricks on them, and some took out their phones and recorded it.
"Haha, hey! This isn't half bad!" Makoto spoke, having surprisingly a fun time flying. "This is actually kinda cool! I'm getting the hang of this thing already...that is, if my luck doesn't jinx it all of course..."
As Makoto turned his attention back forward, he saw a flock of birds right in front of him!
"AAAAH!" Makoto yelled, immediately dodging the birds, though it made him lose control of his flight as he flew down to where there were a lot of busy cars on the road.
Honking was loud in his ears as he tried to regain control of his flight and dodged the cars, letting out a bunch of "I'm sorries and "excuse mes" His eyes widened when a louder honking was heard and he saw a large truck coming at him.
Makoto yelled again as he flew back up to the skies. He huffed, shaking his head, "Even in my conscious, I had to jinx it, didn't I?" He thought to himself.
Once he regained himself, his anxiety returned as he saw that he was heading straight towards a large building! Before Makoto could try to stop himself, he suddenly became intangible, phasing through the building as if he were a ghost.
"Wh-what?! D-did I just go through the building?! S-So I have ghost powers too?!" Makoto thoughtfully asked himself. Still intangible, he passed by many people within the building, letting out more apologies and excuse mes. Some of the people within the building were shocked and a bit feared by the voice, especially when they saw it's intangible form.
Soon enough, Makoto phased out of the building, letting out a sigh in relief as he began tangible again as he continued flying. "Glad that's over, or else I'll end up getting hurt," Makoto huffed, "Maybe if I fly down-OOF!" He yelled in pain when he hit a Manga convention Build-board sign.
The transformed Luckster fell from the build-board and started to fall all the way down until he crashed into a dumpster.
Makoto gave out a weak groan as he climbed out of the dumpster, covered garbage. "Okay, that does it..." Makoto muttered, "No way am I gonna fly like that for awhile...if it's too much to ask, I think I'd like to be my average, normal self again," As he said that, a sudden beeping was heard...
Makoto was confused at first but noticed that it was from the watch symbol on his chest, flashing red. Before he could question more, he was engulfed by a red light. The light suddenly died down and stood Makoto Naegi in his human form.
"H-Huh?! I...I'm me again!" Makoto beamed, happy to see that he was finally back in his human form. He checked every inch of his body to make sure that every single part of his body was back to normal. He was, and he was relieved. "Everything looks normal to me..." Well, almost. There was still one part. And it was that watch.
Makoto looked at the watch on his wrist and saw that instead of the hourglass being green it was red. "First it was green, now it's red. Guess it ran out of juice," He muttered and he tried getting it off again. He still couldn't, "And you're still stuck on my wrist." He huffed, "Well, at least I can look on the bright side, at least I don't have to come home and have mom, dad, and Komaru see me as that blue, moth, alien thing."
His eyes widened in realization, "O-Oh shoot! What time is it?!" He took out his phone and opened it to see that it was eight-thirty, along with the dozen missed calls and text messages from his family. "O-oh no! I didn't know it was that late! I must've made my family worried sick...I should text them to let them know that I'm okay..."
He scrolled through the text messages, seeing lots of text messages from his family...
Mom: Makoto, it's getting late. You're not home yet!
Dad: Son, your mother and I have been trying to reach you. Why aren't you home yet?! Are you okay?!
Komaru: Onii-Chan! Where are you?! Mom, dad, and I are worried about you!
Mom: Makoto, please, answer the phone?! Where are you?! Are you okay?!
Dad: We've been trying to call you, son! Is everything okay?!
Komaru: PLEASE ANSWER THE PHONE, ONII-CHAN! ARE YOU OKAY?! WHY AREN'T YOU ANSWERING?!
Makoto winced in guilt for keeping his family worried sick like this. This was one of his pet-peeves, he hates when people worry about him. Especially his own family...He was gonna text them, but decided not to. He figured that them hearing his voice, letting them know he's okay through phone would help calm their nerves even more. So Makoto punched in the numbers and held the phone up to his ear. He knew he was gonna receive an earful.
"What do you mean it's not there?!" Vilgax inquired. After the explosion, the evil war-lord was in a container filled with liquid and tubes attached to him, along with a mask to help him breathe, "This battle nearly costs me my life, and you say the Omnitrix is no longer onboard the transport?!" He inquired, sounding incredibly angry and displeased by the report.
"Sensors indicate a probe was jettisoned from the ship just before boarding," One of Vilgax's humanoid robots explained, "It landed on the planet below,"
Vilgax narrowed his eyes and turned to the nearby giant robot within the ship. "Go! Bring me the Omnitrix, now!"
The robot accepted the order and went to go retrieve the Omnitrix.
Outside, the entrance of the ship opened up and flew out an orange pod that crashed into the same woods where the Omnitrix landed earlier. Pod formed into a huge robot, growing three legs and large arms.
The robot scanned around the area until it spotted the empty pod where the Omnitrix was.
It scanned the pod until it was at hundred percent.
The next thing the robot did was fired a laser at the empty pod, destroying it into nothing.
The robot traced the Omnitrix's coordinates until it spotted a city nearby...
Two spider-like robot drones emerged from the robot and headed towards the city with the robot following behind...
Makoto groaned, massaging his ear a bit. His family was screaming at him through the phone of how worried they were, that they were gonna call the police and look for him.
He barely managed to calm them down and assured them that he'd be home shortly. Of course, he was gonna face a long lecture from his parents. Maybe even Komaru.
He couldn't help but be a bit nervous though. He's rarely received any scolding or lectures from his family. Though, looks like he is getting one now when he gets home. At least they do care. Others families don't, unfortunately...
"But I wouldn't have to get a lecture if I didn't go searching for this thing," He thought as he looked at the Omnitrix that was now green, "Still, I can't believe that I found a watch that came from outer-space and turned me into some sort of alien. I thought that only happens in the cartoons or the animes. Guess I learned something new today..."
"Still, what am I gonna tell my family when they see this thing? I don't wanna freak them out. It'll make them worry, and I've made them worried enough. I think that I should keep this thing to myself for now, and make up a story that I won it at some arcade, or got it at as a farewell present from my former high school or something..."
"AAAAAAAAAAAH!" Makoto snapped out of his thoughts at the scream as he looked to the source and were surprised to see people running...From robot drones that were shooting lasers at everyone!
"Wha-what the-OOF!" Makoto grunted as he was shoved to the ground by a citizen who was running.
Screams echoed as the robots continued firing lasers.
"What...? Who the heck are they? Where-where did they come from?! Did they...come from space too?!"
Makoto stood up, despite the crowd of people running. "They-they must have came here for this thing," He gestured to the Omnitrix on his wrist, "I-I gotta do something! I can't let these people get hurt because of me..."
The Luckster gasped, coming out of his thought as a drone flew above him, scanning him. It aimed it's gun at Makoto as The Luckster yelled and moved out of the way as a laser shot out.
Makoto hit the ground, but stood up and started running. The drone went after him, firing lasers at him.
They barely hit him, but he kept running.
"Never thought my night would turn out like this! First I found some weird watch that can turn me into aliens and now I'm being chased by this thing! At the end of the day, I still blame my luck for this!
The drone fired at the ground near Makoto's legs, causing an explosion to occur and send Makoto on the ground, the crater in the ground, emerging fire and smoke. The drone flew past the smoke and looked around, seeing no sign of Makoto.
The Luckster was hiding behind a nearby car, trying to catch his breath.
"Okay, Makoto, take a breath...you know those things are probably after this," Makoto looked down at the watch that was attached to his wrist, "It's not like I could explain to them what happened...I'd be fried with those lasers! But because of me, those people are in danger, and I gotta fix it!" He said out-loud with determination in his eyes, his eyes glued to the watch, "And I'm gonna have to use this again, like it or not!"
The Luckster examined the device, fiddling with it. "Okay, so, how do you turn this thing on again?" He muttered.
His finger found the button as he pressed it and the core shot up.
The hourglass glowed green as an icon of the same alien appeared.
"Alright, let's see..." He muttered as he turned the dial, seeing a different icon.
"H-Huh?!" His eyes widened, "T-there's different aliens on here?" He turned the dial a few times more, seeing lots of options. "I could...choose from any one of these..."
Focus Makoto! You can look at them all later! Just choose one! He mentally scolded himself.
Makoto came to a stop at a random icon. He huffed, "I know my bad luck's had it out for me..." He huffed, "But please, please, give me some good luck!" He raised his hand and slammed on the device as a bright green light shined on him.
Blue shards started to grow out of the watch and all over Makoto's body as he grew muscular and his clothing being a dull green hoodie-like suit, similar to his style as he grew large blew shards from his back and the watch symbol on his chest.
"Wh-whoa! This is...wow!" Makoto examined himself, "I'm...made of diamonds...I...have muscles, and-and my voice is way more lower!" He balled his fists, "Alright, Makoto...time to show these robot punks who's boss!"
With that, Makoto jumped from his hiding place and sped towards the drones that were still reaking havoc.
"Hey, over here!" The drones turned to the source of the voice and saw Makoto Naegi, in his diamond transformation, "Why don't you uh...pick on someone who can handle you?!" "Note to self, gotta come up with better smack talk,"
The drones raced towards Makoto, firing lasers at him.
The Luckster immediately dodged the attack. But as the drone got closer, Makoto had grabbed the drone and threw it aside.
As he did that though, the other drone fired a laser behind his back
Makoto was sent flying to the ground. The Luckster huffed, sitting up as the drone flew to him and fired a laser.
Makoto quickly acted and raised his hands, using them as a shield...only to form into an actual shield!
The laser hit the shield and it shot somewhere else.
"H-Huh?!" Makoto's eyes widened in surprise. The shield shifted to his hands as he stared, "Did I...just do that?"
Another laser headed towards Makoto. Makoto immediately raised his hands, forming the shield again as the lasers hit and he started running towards the drones that were firing at him.
Makoto jumped up towards one of the drones and delivered a hard punch, making it crash on the ground. He raised his fist again and brought it down to the drone, destroying it. That was cool!
The other drone fired a laser at him, sending him back on the ground. Makoto huffed, getting up...he balled his fists and sped up to the drone while trying to dodge the laser beams that were being fired at him.
As Makoto sped up, his hand grew into a shard, unknown to him. He jumped up to the drone and brought his sharded hand down to the mechanism. The drone fell, a huge gash in it with crystals sticking out.
Makoto took breather and looked at his sharded hand, surprised. "Whoa...didn't know I could do that...that's even...more cool, honestly! Even if it is kinda freaky,"
Suddenly, some of the citizens came out of their hiding places and examined the creature with a mixture of awestruck and cautious expressions. Makoto took noticed as his sharded hand reverted back to normal.
"Wha-what is that thing? Some kind of monster or alien?"
"Well, whatever he is, he saved us..."
"But how do we know he's not the only who brought those drone things?!"
"No, that's wrong!" Makoto immediately spoke, shaking his head while waving his hands, "I would never do that! If I did, why would I go through the trouble of destroying them? I only wanted to help,"
The citizens all exchanged looks.
"Well, uh...thanks for the help, but...who exactly are you?"
"And-and where did you come from?!"
"Oh, uh...well-" Before Makoto could think of a lie, a larger laser had fired, nearly hitting Makoto. "Whoa!" His eyes widened. The citizens screamed and ran away as Makoto turned around and saw a huge orange robot behind him!
Oh no...Makoto gulped upon seeing the giant robot. The robot looked down at the Luckster, scanning him. When he saw the hourglass on him, the robot raised it's hand and fired at Makoto, sending him back and crashing on-top of a car.
The robot fired another laser at him, destroying the car he was still on.
Makoto managed to cut his way through by transforming his hand into a shard and cutting himself out.
He examined the diamond shard and huffed, "Good thing I know how to do this..."
Before he could do anything else though, he felt himself be picked up by the robot and thrown into a truck.
The robot went up to him as Makoto quickly got off of the truck. The robot fired lasers at the transformed luckster, which he this time barely dodged. Makoto dodged another laser, and another, and another.
It was getting quite tiring and anxious at the same time.
Another laser was fired and this time, Makoto put up a shield, deflecting the beam and hitting a building as chunks of the building came crashing down. Everyone near the building began screaming and running away from the fallen chunks.
Makoto's eyes widened when he saw a little boy, watching the action go down while eating ice cream, and was completely oblivious to the chunks of the building about to crush him.
Makoto made a dash towards him. "Hey, kid! Look out!"
The boy raised a brow, but looked up and saw the chunks headed right towards him. Before he could react, Makoto had already grabbed him and moved him and himself out of the way, just as the chunks hit the ground he was standing on.
Makoto placed the boy down. "You alright?"
The kid was shocked but nodded. "My baby!" A woman in her forties came up and held her child close, asking if he was alright. She turned her attention to Makoto, "T-Thank you so much for saving him!"
"It's my pleasure, ma'am," Makoto nodded, "Now go! Get somewhere safe!"
The woman nodded and took her son as they ran.
Before the Luckster could react, the robot grabbed him and held him. The robot grabbed his arm and tried taking it off. Fortunantely, Makoto managed to summon a larger shard with big shard spikes, destroying it's hand.
The robot blasted him off and sent him flying into a nearby closed store. The robot headed to where Makoto was as the said transformed Luckster pulled himself out. There's gotta be a way to stop this thing! If I don't, lots of people here will die!
The robot raised it's hand and fired at him. Makoto formed his hands into a shield again as he was sent back. Makoto looked to his hands and an idea came to mind. Maybe there IS a way! I just hope this works...
Makoto stood up and went up to the robot. "Come on! Hit me right here!" He pointed at his chest. This better work...if it doesn't...then mom, dad, Komaru, I love all three of you!
The robot fired at Makoto just as the Luckster raised his shield. He stood his ground as he did his best to hold the shield as the laser fired. What comes around goes around! He thought. Makoto deflected the beam used it to slice the robot in half as a large explosion occured, sending him back some. The remains of the robot fell and exploded.
Makoto groaned as he looked up, seeing the destroyed pieces of the robot. He was dumbfound and he couldn't help but grin. "I...I did it! I...I beat it! I beat the giant robot thing!" Makoto said out-loud, not caring if anyone had heard him.
Soon, the citizens came out and were shocked by seeing all of this.
The Luckster felt nervous, but spoke, "U-Uh...is everyone o-"
The citizens began cheering, increasing more of the Luckster's shock.
"Y-You saved us all!"
"Thank you, thank you so much, Diamond-man creature!"
"We really appreciate it! Thank you, thank you so much!"
"U-Uh, it's nothing really!" Makoto said, "I was just doing what I had to and-" Before he could finish, the hourglass on his chest flashed red. "Uh, sorry! Gotta go!" The Luckster quickly ran before anyone could shower him with more praises.
When Makoto had gotten to a nearby alley, a red light shined on him. When the light had died down, he was human again.
"Wow...now that was...kinda awesome!" Makoto said. I felt like...an actual superhero...
He didn't expect his night to go like this. Normally, he would've been at home, playing video games, but TONIGHT, he actually did something that would be in a video game! He changed into different aliens and took on killer robots! Not to mention that he had saved a lot of people too...something a hero would do.
Makoto looked down at the watch on his wrist that was now red. You and I...whatever you are, we make a pretty good team...but...were those things after you? If so, then why?
He furrowed his brows, trying to figure out why, but couldn't come up with a good theory.
"Well, I guess I can figure that out later..." Makoto muttered out-loud, "You're stuck on me and there's nothing I can do about. So in the meantime, I guess I can try to live with it...though, I don't think I'll be living a normal life anymore," He chuckled sheepishly as he said that. Makoto's phone rang which snapped him out of this thoughts.
He fished out his phone and looked to see Komaru's text. Onii-Chan, are you close to home yet?!
Makoto's eyes widened as he yelled, "That's right! I gotta get home!" He made a dash out of the alley and raced his way home. Oh man, I am so grounded...He thought with a groan.
Back in outer-space, the large ship was being repaired by the drones.
Vilgax, who was watching everything on the monitor, glared angrily. "Failure! Unbelievable!" He took a breath as he continued his rant, "The puny earth being that is keeping the Omnitrix from me will soon hang on my trophy wall!"
Meanwhile, in a void filled with clocks, two figures were in front of a large vortex image, watching Makoto make his way home. "So, what do you think of him?" Asked the first man. He was dressed in a lab coat and had a pair of green goggles.
The twenty-two-year-old young man standing next to him hummed in thought. "Well, he does look interesting. He has some low self-esteem issues and seems to have it bad when it comes to luck, not to mention clumsy...but on the other-hand, he does look intelligent and has potential with a little help and mentoring,"
The young man had shaggy brown hair, he appeared to have a muscular build, he was dressed in a green, white striped jacket with a number ten on the side, underneath it was a black T-shirt with a white lining going down, he was dressed in a pair of green pants with a black and green belt, he was dressed in a pair of white and green tennis shoes, and on his left wrist was a green gauntlet device with the same hourglass symbol on Makoto's watch.
"So you'll train him then? Shape him into being the hero he needs to be?" The man asked.
The man smirked, "You know I will, Paradox. I've already got everything figured out and informed Grandpa Max, Gwen, Kevin, and Rook that I'll be leaving soon. And I got Gwen to make me a fake teacher resume too for Hope's Peak,"
"Excellent. I know positive you'll have a splendid time with Makoto, and teach him the importance of becoming a hero," Paradox said before his facing turning serious, "However, I must warn you that you should be aware of the danger that you and Makoto will face in the nearby future...and it won't be pretty,"
The man sighed, "I know, Paradox...but it's no sweat! By the time the real danger comes, Makoto will already be ready and kickin' ass with his Omnitrix,"
Paradox smiled, "I'm sure he will, Benjamin..."
