Chapter 23

The bell rang for fourth period of the day and Sarah, Jake and Elliot had a free period and began to start their revenge plan. Mike had cooking next and headed towards his cooking class, as he thought of how he was going to be able to turn up everyone in the classes ovens up without getting caught. Mark and Kenneth headed to their gym class and were discussing how they would make sure the bullies were the last ones to get back to the changing room.

"We could like start an argument with them," Kenneth suggested.

"Yeah but they are like a lot bigger and stronger than us so what if they like hit us," Mark said worryingly.

"Well you know if they did hit or push us in any way the teacher would most likely hold them back at the end, so that way they would be the last one's back into the changing room," Kenneth said.

"Well you can be the one they hit then," Mark quickly replied.

"Yeah maybe getting hit isn't the greatest of ideas I'll think of something," Kenneth said.

Meanwhile Sarah, Jake and Elliot headed to the school canteen to try and get into the store room and steal some meat.

"Right you two know what to do," Sarah said as they walked into the canteen. Sarah walked to the other side of the canteen and sat down herself while Jake and Elliot sat next to each to each other ready to start a fake argument in hope that the canteen staff would hear and try and break up the argument, and while they were distracted Sarah would sneak into the store room and get the meat.

"Why do you always have to be such an idiot!" Elliot shouted as he started their fake argument.

"Me? It's you who stole my skateboard!" Jake shouted back. As they continued to fake their argument they got louder and more aggressive in their tone. Soon three of the canteen staff member emerged from the kitchen to ask what all the noise was about.

At this point Sarah took her opportunity and tip toed into the kitchen. She could see two of the other canteen staff at the other side of the kitchen. Sarah was right next to the store room and could see that there was a brick left in the door to stop it from closing. She slowly opened the door and lightly on her feet she tip toed in.

The store room was much bigger than Sarah had thought and she quickly walked over towards the three fridges and searched for some meat. While she was in the second fridge she found some and shoved it in the bag she had taken with her. She quietly tip toed back out of the store room and back out of the kitchen, back towards where she was sitting before.

Jake noticed Sarah give him the thumbs up and he tried to end his faked argument, "Look dude I'm sorry I should never had met up with your girlfriend behind you back".

"I'm sorry too I should never had stole you skateboard and called all those things I called you," Elliot said trying his best not to laugh.

"Friends?" Jake asked with a smirk on his face as he too tried to hold back the laughter.

"Of course dude," Elliot said as the two shook hands.

The canteen staff looked puzzled as they has so quickly made up and really had no clue what the whole thing was all about.

Sarah, Jake and Elliot left the canteen and burst out laughing as the door closed behind them.

"I was so close to laughing," Elliot said.

"I know it was so hard not to laugh," Jake agreed.

"You two sounded so funny," Sarah laughed.

"Right what do we do next?" Jake asked.

"We dip their clothes in meat," Sarah said with an evil grin as the three of them walked over towards the changing rooms.

"The cost is clear," Elliot said as the three of them ran into the changing room, "How do we know what clothes belong to the bullies?"

"I told Mark to put a yellow piece of paper next to their stuff, so it must be there," Sarah said as she pointed where the yellow paper was.

They took a tub which was sitting over in the corner of the changing room and put the meet in it and then began to dip their clothes in.

"Oh it stinks," Elliot said, "I can't believe you guys did this before to Nora's boyfriend".

"Oh it was such a classic," Sarah smiled proud of the plan she masterminded, "Naomi happened to have a hairdryer in her bag as she is staying at her grandma's house tonight she let me borrow it, so we can dry their clothes so no one suspects that they were dipped in meat,".

"Won't they hear the hairdryer out there," Elliot asked wandering if Mark and Kenneth's class would hear the hairdryer.

"I doubt it but you go on watch out at the door into the gym hall and Jake you watch out the door to the corridor," Sarah said as she turned on the hair dryer and dried the clothes.

"You finished now?" Jake asked, as Sarah turned off the hairdryer.

"Yup, so far everything is on time and going well," Sarah said as she looked at her watch.

While Sarah, Jake and Elliot had been getting the meat, Mike had been figuring out how he would get the fire alarm to go off. Everyone had got out their ingredients and was told to preheat their ovens.

"Could someone please hand out the baking soda I forgot about that," Mike's teacher asked.

"I'll do it," Mike offered, seizing the opportunity to turn the oven's up to their highest heat.

Mike walked around the class and handed each person baking soda and while they weren't looking he turned up the oven, he had been successful in managing to do everyone's.

After everyone had put their stuff in the oven, the teacher had told them to go to the other side of the large classroom where the desks were and do some written work while they waited for their stuff to bake.

The teacher left the classroom for a minute as she went to go collect some more worksheets, as she walked back in she straight away smelt the burning and seen the smoke coming from the ovens. Everyone else had failed to smell the burring because they had been in the room the whole time so it gradually built up and they hadn't noticed because there were cupboards making the kitchen area unseen from their desks.

"Oh my goodness," Mike's teacher said, "Everyone go get your stuff out the oven and be careful it's hot!"

As everyone ran over and opened their oven the smoke flowed out into the room and a few seconds later the fire alarm went off.

"Right you'll al have to evacuate even though we know it's not a fire because it's school policy, but turn you ovens off before you leave". All of Mike's class along with the rest of the school evacuated the building.

"Yes, Mike got that right on time," Sarah said as the fire alarm began to go off.

"We'll have to hid until everyone evacuates the building," Elliot said, as they hid in a class room which had no class in it as they had already evacuated.

"I think we can go now," Sarah said as they ran along to the assembly hall.

They ran over towards the cages with the dogs in it and released three of them and directed them out of the hall.

"See if our house was on fire, I wouldn't leave gunner I would have taken him with us. I can't believe these people would just leave all the animals," Jake said.

"Yeah but they probably just think that it is a fire drill," Sarah replied.

"Well what if it had been an actual fire then they would have just left these animals for dead," Jake expressed.

"They might have come back in for them," Sarah suggested.

"Will you two stop debating over this," Elliot said as he tried to have control over the dogs and direct them to the changing room.

As they entered the changing room straight away the dogs sniffed out the bullies' clothes and began to pull about at them as they created holes in them.

"Oh yeah," Sarah said as she watched her plan unfold.

The dogs were tore apart their jumpers and trousers as they waged their tales hoping that there was actual meat in amongst the clothes somewhere.

"Come on Sarah, we better put these dogs back before they say the buildings safe and everyone starts coming back in," Jake said as they directed the dogs out and ran down the corridor towards the assembly room.

"There are so cute," Sarah said as she clapped them and took a dog treat from a box on the table and gave it to the dogs.

"Right we better get away from here," Elliot said as they guided the dogs down the corridor. They quickly arrived at the assembly room and lead the dogs back into the cages they had been in. A few minutes late everyone began to return to the building after it was deemed safe. There was only 10 more minutes left until the period ended so Mark and Kenneth Knew they had to make sure the bullies were the last ones back to the changing room.

They were walking back to their gym class and the bullies were just behind them. They didn't have enough time to do anything else in gym so their teacher had told them to just go get changed.

"We have to make sure they are the last ones out the shower so no one can help them when they realise all their clothes are ruined," Mark said.

"I know but how?" Kenneth replied.

Mark's face light up as he walked back through the door into the school which had been held open for him from the person in front of him as the doors lock automatically once they have been shut for safety reasons in school and only open at lunch and break, so that no random of the street could just walk in.

"What?" Kenneth asked as he realised that Mark had an idea.

"Did you see how I just didn't hold the door for them and they are the last ones form our class to walk back, well now they are locked out and won't be able to get in unless a teacher outside has a key to open to door or someone walks past inside and comes and opens the door," Mark replied.

"Oh yeah," Kenneth smiled, "now they will most defiantly be the last ones in, this plan is all coming together now. We know Mike managed to somehow get the fire alarm to go off, we just have to hope that Sarah, Jake and Elliot managed to do their bit".

After having their showers and getting changed, the group of six bullies walked into the changing room, "Here Baker, you deliberately let that door shut and left us locked outside!" one of them shouted.

Mark pretended to looked puzzled, "No I never".

James the biggest and the leader of the bullies walked over towards Mark, "You did!" he said trying to be threatening. Mark blanked him and soon he disappeared to take a shower.

Most of the other boys in their class had now left the changing room as the bullies come out the shower and went over to their stuff.

"What the hell!" one of them shouted, "My clothes look like they've been like eaten".

"So have mine".

"Mine too".

"Whoever did this way pay!" James said raising his voice.

Kenneth smirked as he watched them, "You did this didn't you?" James demanded to know.

"Maybe I did, maybe I didn't," Kenneth said.

"Come one Kenneth lets go," Mark said as he picked up his stuff to leave.

"Don't leave us with no clothes," James shouted but Mark and Kenneth ignored him.

Mark and Kenneth seen Sarah, Jake, Mike and Elliot standing outside the changing room.

"That plan went exactly right Sarah," Mark smiled.

"You are a mastermind at scheming things like this," Kenneth said.

A few minutes later the bullies came out the changing room in just their underwear carrying their clothes. Everyone burst out laughing and started to take photos of them and within minutes the photos were on facebook.

"Told you not to mess with the Bakers," Sarah said glaring at them.

"Or the Murtaugh's," Elliot added.

"And that's just a small taster of what we're capable of," Mike said, "touch Mark or Kenneth again and it will be far worse than this next time".

The gym teacher came out of his office and looked at the bullies puzzled as to how their clothes looked like they had been torn apart by animals.

"They did it," James said pointing at Sarah, Jake, Mark, Mike, Kenneth and Elliot.

"Us we had nothing to do with this," Elliot said denying the claims.

"So are you trying to claim that we somehow fed your clothes to some sort of animal and left them torn up and basically wrecked. I don't think so," Sarah said also denying the accusations.

"but she did, she admitted to doing it?"

"I very much doubt they did, now we'll lend you some clothes from the lost property," the gym teacher replied.

Sarah smiled as the gym teacher turned around to get clothes.

"This is way too small," one of them complained as he wore old out of fashion clothes that were considerably a few sizes too small.

Everyone continued to laugh and took more photos of them as they looked so ridiculous.
