Chapter Four
Oorochimaru bent over the neck of yet another one of his prey. He enjoyed the bitter smoothness of this one's blood and decided to take his time. His food let out a weak whimper. A pitiful plea for Oorochimaru to release his fangs from deep in its throat. Instead, Oorochimaru clamped down on its necks a little bit more. Hot crimson blood surged into his mouth with each frantic pounding beat of its heart. His body shook with the light euphoric touch of pleasure as blood glided down his throat and bring life to his cold dead heart. His prey's life force brought warmth to Oorochimaru's fingers, bring forth color to his cheeks and chasseing the shadows away from under his eye. His thirst cooled its burning rampage in his throat for now. With a sigh he pulled away from the thing's neck taking a reflexive breath he no longer needs. Not since he shed his human shell so long ago.
Despite it being well into summer, his dark nest of a cave was cold. Sporadic torches lit red rock and revealed the way for his thrall; however, there heat did little to bring them warmth. It wasn't in his nature to care for the well beings of humans. They only exist as food and protection from the sun. Nothing more; nothing less. This cave was meant to be the home of the most vicious predator; a perfect place to act as his temporary nest- somewhere in the Land of Sand. It wasn't ideal for his children, but the next item on his list was no easy prey. After all, he is the host of the one-tailed demon and the Kazekage of this land.
The tantalizing smell of blood resurrected Oorochimaru's thirst. With a hiss he licked at the ruby red blood that swelled from the puncture marks on his victim's neck. He latched on to its throat again and was rewarded with another mouthful of blood before he heard the snap of bone. The husk in his claws went limp and soon the flow of blood to his mouth cooled and ceased. Oorochimau flung the body aside like the trash it was and set back on his thrown, crossed his legs, and acknowledge the presence kneeling at his feet.
The blond-haired ninja bowed not making eye contact. Oorochimaur smiled with pleasure at his child-so obedient. He remembered this one's early days as a vampire. He liked to resist his instincts and refused to feed. That was until he smelled his wife's blood.
"If you are not here to tell me of the new host of the nine-tails, then you are wasting my time." Imagine my ire when the death of the Fourth Hokage's wife failed to yield the Nine-Tails. So, I sent one of my vampires to the Land of Fire to murder his son. No reason to let his past life stir up any of his humanity, it would be such a waste of a precious tool.
"No, my sire, but a nest boarding the Sand and Fire has been massacred," the blond-haired ninja said.
Oorochimaru frowned with displeasure, that nest was particularly large, "How many?"
"Eight ninjas from the Land of Fire."
"How can a messily number of eight take out so many?" I hissed. My creations are not so weak to be taken out by so few.
"They have a child that can produce multiple copies of himself with the forbidden Multi Shadow Clone justu." Minato replied without fear in his voice.
"Multiple shadow clones," Oorochimaru mused, thinking to himself. Humans with large levels of chakra weren't common and the child is from the Hidden Leaf. "Bring Deidara and Kisame with you to capture the One-Tails Jinchūriki. Once he's secured, capture the child with the ability to use that forbidden jutsu."
"Understood."
"And Minato, you have two days. Do not disappoint me.
