It had been a year since Percy got attacked out of nowhere from Aether's minions, he and Annabeth were now in a large house in the Rocky Mountains, woven by Percy's magic so it was hidden from other deities. Percy was patient, biding his time, waiting for Aether to show himself. That was the only way this was going to work.

"What worries you, Percy?" Annabeth said from behind him.

"I don't want to kill my family, Annabeth, but I fear I might have to."

"Why do you fear such things?"

Percy sighed. "Aether's army… He's making a mistake, siding against my siblings, and with the Olympians. I wish him to live, I want him to remain in his position… but if he challenges me…"

Annabeth got up from the couch, and hugged her lover.

"You'll make the right decision, Perseus." He prayed he did.

X

Aether was training two dead demigods, to be resurrected and serve as his generals, leading the demigod armies against his brothers. If Aether was being honest, he could not face Perseus. Even in both of their current states, Perseus not even have ascended, he is significantly more strong than Aether was. Aether was scared shitless of his brother. He just prayed he wouldn't have a force to match Aether or Erebus', therefore they could overpower him. Aether had been trying to ally with his brothers for over three years now, but they refused. They said they wanted complete domination of the world, and that they'd overpower Perseus in the process. Aether knew they were wrong, he just didn't know if they knew.

"Lord Aether, when will we be able to return to Earth and fight with our demigod friends?" one of his pupils asked.

"Soon, Luke. Soon."

Luke just hoped Annabeth was still waiting for him on Earth. When he died, he knew that Percy liked her, but he just hoped she didn't fall in love with that disgrace of a child of the big three.

Luke kept sparring with his partner, Eden, a resurrected demigod, who refused to reveal her true identity. He felt it weird, but didn't think much of it. As long as she didn't get in the way of him, he didn't have an issue with her.

"You cannot let your emotions take over, Luke." Aether said from above him.

"I care about her too much to not, Milord." Luke growled back, slashing at Eden.

"You're in for too much pain if you hold on, I'd rather you let her go. I think it's in your best interest you do, too."

X

"Aether is training champions, brother." Tartarus said, sitting at one head of the table.

"That's fairly disturbing." Erebus said, opposite Tartarus.

"He only has two, brothers. They're no match for our ten commandments." Nyx said, entering the room.

"Hello, my lovely wife." Erebus said, rather regretful.

"I don't like you either, Erebus. I'm only in this so I don't get eradicated by my demigod brother." She spat back at the god. Erebus rolled his eyes.

"Call them in."

Ten teenagers entered the room, all looking different, but wearing generally black clothing.

"Milords," a clear leader said, "what do you need us for?"

"Our enemies, Aether and his allies, are raising champions to counter you all." one of the ten scoffed.

"Aether is weak, they're probably just puny kids."

"We're led to believe Aether will seek the help of Perseus to aide him in this war." Nyx said.

"Are the rumors true? Within years time he will be the strongest being in the universe?" asked different demigod.

"As soon as he consummates his marriage, he indeed will ascend to unlimited power, and we're led to believe he will be twice as powerful as Chaos was, in her prime." A fair share of 'wows' and gasps were around the room.

"Who is he to marry, Lady Nyx?"

"The last daughter of Chaos, Annabeth Nebula, our sister."

"Is Annabeth a protogenoi, like you three?" coming from the original leader.

"No, She is very unique, in she was Chaos' only demi child. Born from a mortal man, but to Chaos' womb. Raised in Chaos's kingdom, where she originally met Perseus." Nyx said.

"Why haven't they married before, Milord?" a different said, who was twirling a hammer in his hand.

"A curse that tormented Perseus for eternity, until three years ago. Order's dying curse, will be his son's biggest blessing. Such irony in this world. You do not wish to know of this curse, it is such a tragic story." Nyx said, almost sadly.

"Can we beat Perseus, milords?" the leader asked.

"We do not know, Omega. Perseus has grown so strong so quickly we cannot estimate how powerful he is. All we know is that he must die before his wedding day." It was a sad reality for the ten young people, however, if their masters requested such from them, they'd be willing to comply.

"We will go to war with Aether as well, and you will fight alongside our monster armies for control of the world. The fight against Perseus will be harder than anything you've ever faced before, allied with Aether or not. If he is allied with Aether, it just give him more of an advantage, as he will have counter to our armies with his own, and he can focus on just fighting us, alongside you."

"You'll fight alongside us?"

"If we do not, you will be squashed like bugs underneath Perseus's shoes. With us three, there might be a chance."

The demigods were scared for their lives, if three protogenoi stood against Perseus and their changes of winning were only a 'might,' how strong was he really?

X

Aether was walking to Olympus, through New York, when he felt Perseus's presence. They were walking alongside one another, step for step.

"Brother." was all Aether said.

"Rumors spread like wildfire, Aether."

"Such as what?" Aether feigned idiocy.

"You raising an army. So is.. is it Tartarus? Erebus? Doesn't matter." Percy rolled his eyes.

"You're on the right track, Perseus. Why have you come to me to ask?" Aether questioned.

"I don't feel like getting jumped by multiple of my siblings, so I chose not to. Anyways, my reasoning is that I'm assuming you're siding with the Olympians and the demigods, am I correct?" Aether nodded, intimidated by his brother.

"I am willing to ally myself with you, brother." Percy said, staring at Aether.

"You must be joking."

"Certainly not, as I am very much serious about this. I do not wish to kill demigods in a war against family. I do not want to be a third party in this war between light and dark that is going to be waged. I am offering my help in your war efforts. Accept it, and we shall dominate our siblings, deny it, and I'll make you fade." Percy said the last part with a smile on his face. Aether had no choice. He knew that by this point, Percy was at his power level, if not miles above him.

"I shall accept your offering, brother, on one condition, you have to bless my two demigod champions."

"Consider it done. When I meet them, I shall give them my blessing, and we will crush our siblings. I plan on revealing myself and Annabeth to the godly world soon enough. I haven't contacted anyone in over two years." He said, looking down almost sadly.

"I wish you well, Perseus."

"Good luck dealing with the Olympians, Aether. Their egos are massive." Percy smiled. Aether rolled his eyes.

"I've known that for an eternity now."

X

"Quasar has chosen to side himself with us, my champions." Luke looked up immediately.

"Really? The all-powerful?"

"Yes. Him. He will give you his blessing on first meeting, if he deems you worthy enough. I will warn you, however, do not tempt he or his wife, as they are the ones helping us. He does not need our help, for soon he will be powerful enough to raise his own army from the ground, and fight his own wars. He is merely doing this because he wishes to not have to kill demigods in his quest for his true power."

"Lord Aether, how is everyone at Camp Half Blood?" Luke asked. Eden rolled her eyes.

"They are good, Luke. Their leader continues to fight hard, and soon it will be your time to assist them. Patience is key, my children." Luke nodded, and continued to practice his swordfighting. He will return to camp, to his friends, to her.

X

Thalia hurt. All over. These monsters had been nonstop attacking Camp Half Blood for over three days now, and the demigods could barely get a rest. Artemis had ordered them to stay there for a few days over three months ago, and now they were permanently stationed at camp in order to assist the campers. She's taken an arrow to her palm, and was getting it bandaged in the medical bay. She looked up at the son of Apollo, Will Solace,

"When do you think help will arrive? The gods announced they were allying with people over a year ago… and we've received nothing."

"Soon, I hope, Thalia. Nothing is for certain, however."

"I wish Percy was here for us." Will nodded. Nobody had seen or heard from him since he went all crazy versus Gaea, and even the gods admitted he'd been hidden from their vision for over three years.

Screams came from outside the medical tents, with kids with armor and swords running towards the border. Was another assault here already?

At the border stood by far the largest monster army Thalia has ever seen, maybe smaller than the one they faced in Greece, it was so big, cresting over the hill where her pine was, with two kids in black cloaks leading the charge, one male, one female.

"Demigods!" one of the cloaks called,

"Today is your reckoning! You have been beaten, weakened! You can no longer fight full strength, but we have more forces than you could ever imagine! You are outnumbered, outfought, and doomed!" the same cloak yelled. The demigods agreed. They were battered, and could not fight for much longer. The gods gave them no help, no blessings, nothing to help. They were left alone, and they were going to die.

"Children of the Gods!" Chiron yelled, bringing the attention of the demigods to him.

"We have been mistreated, and have fought with our lives, but we will not surrender to these hideous beings! We will fight!" Calls of agreement from the demigod crowd.

"We will no-" Chiron was interrupted by the sound of flapping wings.

From the sky, descended Luke Castellan, with his winged converse on his feet. He landed, and as he landed, someone emerged from the ground on his left, a girl, wearing all-white armor, that seemed to glow. Soon, the same armor appeared on Luke.

"We are here to assist you, demigods. Under the name of Lord Aether, we shall fight these monsters with you." they both turned on the army at the hill, before walking to the border, where two of the ten dwacommandments stood.

"How hilarious, who would've thought that Aether's demon spawns would've showed up and ruined our party?" laughed one of the cloaks, the female.

"I do not know, Seta, however, they seem awfully… weak. Almost puny, as if Aether doesn't match up to our masters." Luke growled at that.

"Aww… Is the exiled demigod offended? Did I manage to hurt your feelings?" Seta smiled.

"Who are you?" Luke said, clenching his teeth.

"Why, we're two of the ten commandments! Blessed and trained by the Immortals of Night! We're just here to play!" Seta giggled.

"Why don't you go back to being Kronos's slave, Castellan. You're nothing but an irrelevant, forgotten spawn of a messenger god, destined to spend eternity in the shadow of Percy Jackson."

That name brought the air out of the forest, and made the temperature drop.

"Do not say his name, sister. He could be watching." the male cloak warned.

"Fine, Alpha. Only because you said so."

Luke growled, before turning around, and walking back to the large army of demigods.

"We have been sent here be Lord Aether himself to lead you into battle! Let us be blessed with victory and good fortune!" a cry in response came from the crowd. Agreement, and war cries followed.

"Now lets kill these monster bastards!" Eden yelled, before the demigod army charged.

Alpha smiled, blood on his mind.

X

Percy's shirt was off and Annabeth's was half off, her on top of him on their couch in their New York penthouse when someone said his name. He cursed, and stopped.

"Someone said my name." Percy muttered. Annabeth kept kissing his jaw.

"Fuck them." she grumbled in response. Percy rolled his eyes, before kissing her again.

Then he felt it, blood drop, nearby.

"Wait." Annabeth stopped, and looked down on him.

"You felt it, too?" Annabeth asked. Percy nodded. He expected war, but not this soon.

"It's too early to fight. Why is it happening now? What does Erebus have in mind?"

"Many things, brother, but for now, I merely wished to finish the demigod forces, until Aether interfered." Annabeth blushed, got off him, and tugged her shirt down. Percy stood up, whirling around, to find Tartarus, Nyx and Erebus all in his apartment.

"Good morning, Perseus. Sister." Nyx spat sister with malice. Annabeth glared back.

"You're all very brave for being here, interrupting me." Percy said back.

Erebus rolled his eyes, "We wish to know your decision."

Percy's heart dropped. This could be very bad, if they decide to attack him here.

"I'm sorry, my friends, but you know I cannot kill demigods in this war. In another lifeline, a different dimension, maybe I would've joined you, but what you stand for is something I cannot support." Tartarus growled, Erebus rolled his eyes, and Nyx continued to show no emotion.

"Fair, Perseus. But do know, nothing is safe." Erebus spat at Perseus.

"One thing is. Remember your end of the deal, Erebus." Erebus' blood ran cold. He'd forgotten entirely.

"That's what I thought. I have full power to fade you, your friends, and your allies if you ever touch her." Perseus said angrily.

"You're playing a dangerous game." Nyx shot at Perseus.

"We wouldn't have this war if I wasn't." was all he responded with. Tartarus screamed angrily, and charged Perseus, a blade appearing from the hardwood floor.

Perseus remained still, until Tartarus' blade came down in an arc, which Perseus rolled away from, and pulled Tartarus towards him, feeling for the blood in his body.

"You've made an amazing mistake, Tartarus." Nyx said.

"Do it, Perseus. End me. Show them, your wife, who you really are." Tartarus spat at Perseus's face.

"An empty threat, idiot. She knows exactly what I am."

"Make it stop! I'll do anything, Please!" Tartarus screamed. Perseus smirked.

"This power has rejected me once before, Tartarus, and I have died for it. The power has seemed to reject you." Tartarus continued screaming, before his body started to dismantle itself, limb by limb, falling to the floor, before disintegrating. It was a horrible sight to see. Tartarus kept screaming, all until his voice faded, and his skull caved in on itself, before falling to nothing but dust on the floor.

"I dare either of you to challenge me." Perseus said, glaring at Erebus and Nyx.

"We are not as dumb as our brother is, Perseus. We shall not, for now."

"Leave us." Perseus said, with no room for other options in his voice. Erebus and Nyx left. Percy turned to Annabeth

"I'm so sorry, my love. I did not want to bring the war to you."

"What deal did you make with Erebus? The one that protects me?" Annabeth asked.

"I threatened him… a punishment worse than death, if he or anyone he was allied with touched you. You can protect yourself, but I don't want them to use you to get to me. I can't let that happen." Annabeth nodded.

"I understand, Percy. I'm happy that your first thoughts in war are of me." Percy smiled, and kissed her.

"Are you still feeling it?" she whispered in his ear.

"When am I not?" Annabeth smiled in the kiss, and they walked back to the couch.

X

"He… killed him." Nyx said. Erebus found the nearest trash can, and puked.

"Tartarus hasn't faded. I get a sense Perseus wants him alive." Nyx added on.

"I'd believe it." Erebus said, wiping his mouth.

"What did Perseus even do? I've never seen such a swift, clean, kill of an immortal." Nyx asked.

"I think Perseus gave all of his power to Tartarus, which overloaded his being, and he died for it. One person can only hold so much, and Tartarus was already at his peak, and any more would've killed him… and if Perseus gave him all of his power…" Erebus trailed off. He could only imagine the pain.
"He was a fool to test Perseus in his element. He draws power from our sister. Her true one ability." Nyx spat. Erebus shook his head. His wife was right, and now one of the most powerful protogenoi was left to reform.

"Perseus has grown strong, so strong." Erebus said, sitting, and putting his head in his hands.

"There's little hope, husband, but I believe." Nyx said, sitting aside Erebus.

"I should've killed him when I had the chance… in Greece. He hadn't figured it all out yet, and I had the opportunity." Erebus sighed.

"We all make mistakes, husband. Do not let it effect you. We have a war to win against Aether. If we beat Aether, prove to our kind that we are worthy of help, maybe they'll assist us in our fight against Perseus." Erebus looked into Nyx's black eyes. He hadn't loved her in many, many decades, but this was making his heart grow. He forgot he had a heart, at one point, and she was the one to revive it. He leaned in, and they kissed.

"I'm so sorry for leaving you." Nyx hushed him.

"It's all in the past, Erebus."

"I just wanted our family to be reunited, one last time."

X

As Percy walked into the pitch black room, he felt the power, of multiple beings.

"Tartarus, show yourself." The figure of the pit formed in front of Perseus, kneeling before him.

"Do not kneel, idiot. The respect is mutual." Tartarus stood.

"Why didn't you fade me, Perseus?" Tartarus asked, and Percy turned his back to the pit, slow walking away.

"I chose not to because I need you alive. I expect nobody to want to live your life, of managing the one true hell, and I don't want to bother with replacing you. I want you alive for your services to me in the future." Percy said, turning back around to face Tartarus.

"I thank you. What are your plans for my siblings?"

"I'll fade those who I feel deserve it. Once I've combined with my father, ascending to the one true ruler of the universe, I'll leave the Olympians in charge. You know as well as I do no matter what your brother and sister do in this war, as long as I support Aether, he'll win." Tartarus didn't make a move.

"You don't believe they have a chance?"

"Even without combining with Order," the name came with distant screams of pain, death, "I still grow powerful. The curse came with the locking of my natural power. I was merely a fourth as strong as I should be without combining when I killed you." Tartarus still didn't move

"I-I don't understand."

"Me and my father are 50/50 at full natural peaks, yet, he remains to be thought of as strong as Chaos, even though she is much weaker. Because she reproduced so heavily, her power is spread all across the universe, but spread thin. I estimate she's only a fifth of what my father is, of what I once was."

"And Chaos's last daughter?" Tartarus asked.

"My wife?" Tartarus nodded, "She holds very little of Chaos's power, but one special, unique ability. Her connections allow the person she loves to amplify power, nearly threefold. That is what I used to destroy you, and still be here."

"You're not as strong as you say." Tartarus said. Suddenly, his throat closed, and he flew forward, throat landing in Perseus's hand.

"Do not make such accusations. I am stronger than you can ever imagine, but to do what I did to you wears one down. I can only do that so many times." Percy's grip tightened.

"Yes, you are a protogenoi, but in comparison to me, you might as well be mortal. You are nothing, Tartarus. If I wanted you faded, you'd be faded within mere seconds of me thinking so." Percy's grip loosened, and Tartarus fell, struggling to breathe, at Percy's feet. Percy kneeled down, whispering in Tartarus's ear,

"If I wanted you dead, you'd be dead. Do not cross me. You do not fall under line with the fates, but your fate is in my hand." Percy made a string, a red one, with black burn marks and souls surrounding it, appear.

Tartarus's lifeline.

"Do not make a decision you'll regret, Tartarus. You will reform within the year. Fight with your siblings, and lose. Do not make me angry again, or you won't breathe again, for eternity." Tartarus, still struggling to breathe, nodded profusely.

"Leave." Tartarus teleported away.

Your knowledge of how our power works does you wonders for intimidation, Perseus.

Percy knelt.

"Father."

Does anyone know? Of our plans?

"No. Nobody has learned." The voice chuckled, a booming laugh that overtook the large, black room.

Tartarus will stay in the void with me, and he'll come back more powerful than ever, giving the Olympians a scare. I do wish that this goes how you say it will.

"It will, father. I swear of it."

When do you plan to marry Annabeth? Just hearing her name made his heart jump.

"Within the year. Secretly. I know for a fact Erebus and Nyx will try to kill me before then."

Deceived, they have been. They do not know of the second half of the bargain, do they not?

"No. They believe the only way I am to immediately gain full strength is through marriage."

Perseus, as my dying wish, I only want one thing.

"What, father?"

When Erebus attacks you… And it won't be the most upcoming attack, but you'll know, I want you to die.

Percy's heart dropped. "Why is that, father?"

I believe I have found a way for you to gain full power, but I also live through it, but it requires your blood to be spilled. You must die.

"Swear on my name you're telling the truth."

You don't trust me, son?

"You've deceived me before, I will not let it happen again."

I swear on the name of Perseus and Annabeth that I am telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

Thunder struck, from nowhere.

"You do not lie."

Never, Perseus. I was a horrible father, but I have changed my ways.

"I recognize that."

Now, I think it is time that the godly world was reunited with their savior.

Percy smiled, a wicked, deathly smile that would turn Gaea to ashes. He stood, and stared at the shadowy figure that started forming, teleporting to Camp Half-Blood.
