Harry Potter an instrument of change challenge:
I love the world of Harry Potter. I do not however, own anything other than my original ideas, mores the pity. JK Rowling's universe is simply amazing and I just hope to play in it. This document will likely change and adapt as I continue to write.
I love to cross it over, change it and most of all, I love powerful, smart Harry stories. I hit a dead end on my Harry Potter/World of Warcraft story: Fulgur Master Druid of Elune. I need to rewrite the whole thing and redo a few things. I hope that will happen this year. However, this story idea would not leave me alone, so, I began working on the framework for a whole new Harry Potter centric multi-universe cross over idea. There is inspiration taken from the Forever Mage story line by Darth Marrs. If you have not read these stories, please do! They are amazing. Anything by Darth Marrs is amazing!
The basis of this story line is Harry Potter is immortal. For nearly a thousand years, Harry has guided, led, and built human and human society. He has re-started the family lines he was the heir too. The Potter family, the Black family, the Gryffindor family, the Slytherin family and finally the Peverell families. Harry took a wife for each line and under their strict, patient, and loving guidance the lines flourished. They are Daphne Potter, Luna Peverell, Susan Bones-Gryffindor, Tonks Black and finally Tracy Slytherin. Each of the women lived for many hundreds of years and journeyed with Harry as he built, studied, and grew. However, none of them wanted to be immortal. Each passing in the time they chose. Daphne and Luna the last. Harry has been alone for nearly six hundred years at the part where this story diverges into the different universes.
The basis of this challenge:
The first story is a powerful story written for the first thousand years. The story of Harry growing up, over-coming, and adapting. This story will be the end of Dumbledore and Tom Riddle. But they are really a footnote, they are not the point of the story, they are prolog. In fact, it is likely that the first part of this story will only be a chapter or two long because they really are inconsequential to the over all story arc. Harry will grow into a powerful Grey Lord. Harry is in all things balance, neither light nor dark. In this story, Harry will be the Lord of multiple houses. He will have multiple wives. He will be immensely powerful, politically, economically, and magically.
The second story takes place after the first. Humanity is about to change. Eight hundred and fifty years ago, both sides of humanity reunited, the magical population and the no-mag part of humanity joined together to walk into the future together. Technology and magic blossomed, propelling humanity into a golden ago. Humans explored the earth, correcting the unchecked damage done to the planet. Humans explored the solar system and settled on the Moon, Mars and several other smaller moons. Magic filled in the gaps in science and technology and science and innovation drove the study of magic to new heights. The widespread blending of magical genes and non-magical genes also propelled human evolution and today, humanity stands of the brink of a change.
The prime universe will continue into a the Babylon 5 time line. Humanity is the first, the oldest, race. Harridan Potter, Harry Potters many times great grandson will lead a new phase of humanities existence into the uncharted waters of the universe. Due to the blending of science and magic, humanity has evolved early. Harridan was the first, besides Harry, to shed his mortal form into a being of pure energy. The challenge, to continue to build, to continue to grow, and to find the young and help them do the same.
The second universe and the one, I plan to take up first, will be the Star Wars universe. Harry Potter is not one to quit. Not one to just give up and die. Harry will take up the challenge of building again. Growing the families, building a future for all people. Harry will be a person of balance, not light or dark. He will be powerful, but more than that, there will be an instinctual, understanding and grasp of the power he wields.
Rules for me:
Dumbledore annoys me. There is no redeeming him. He choices are easy and expedient, rather than good and thought-out choices.
Hermione annoys me. She will not be a major part of the story. Harry will not marry her.
Ron is a jealous git and I have no use for him except at a tangent to any story.
Harry must grow, adapt, and overcome. Many conspired to hold him back, but I have always believed with the right people by his side there is the potential for great change and evolution within the original story line.
Sirius/Remus are great characters it is up to you want you do with them.
There are many possible story arcs within this challenge. Obviously, the prime universe is an interesting option, what changes for humanity and the Babylon 5 universe?
The Star Wars arc should be profound, I hope to see a different path forward than cannon in the Star Wars Universe.
Others? Yes many! Have fun and if you would like to play in this playground with me, please just give credit to the challenge.
