If you were to ask anyone what the most dangerous city in the world is, more often than not, the answer you would get is "St. Canard". Over the years, St. Canard has transitioned from being a city that had an excess amount of criminals to a city filled to the brim with supervillains. With so many evil doers taking refuge in St. Canard, it was only a matter of time until the city was overrun and controlled by the criminal mass. While crime ran rampant throughout the city, there were superheroes who did their best to fight back against the malevolent malefactors; one of those heroes went by Darkwing Duck.
Darkwing Duck used to only exist in a TV show as a powerless superhero who went up against superpowered criminals and got back up no matter how many times he failed or got hurt. However, a brave mallard duck decided to take up the mantle as Darkwing Duck in real life so that he could inspire people the same way the TV version of Darkwing Duck inspired him. Similarly to his TV counterpart, this Darkwing always got up no matter how many times he failed or got injured and it is because of this that Darkwing was able to inspire someone else to become a hero. This person was a teenage crime fighter who helped protect St. Canard for three years; he went by the name of-
"Dynamic Duck, thank goodness you came!," a police officer exclaimed.
Inside St. Canard's police station was a pitbull police officer as well as St. Canard's second superhero, Dynamic Duck. Dynamic wore a blue fedora with a black band, a blue mask, a blue cape with a black interior, a blue jacket with a dark blue trim at the end of the sleeves and the torso, a pair of blue fingerless gloves, black pants, and a pair of blue boots.
"What's the emergency officer, did you find Taurus Bulba?," Dynamic Duck asked, ready to face the aforementioned villain.
The officer nodded his head, "Taurus Bulba and the Fearsome Four were spotted on top of Bulba's old tower with a strange looking machine."
Dynamic Duck scowled at the mention of the device, seemingly due to knowing what the device was and what it was capable of doing.
"Unfortunately, none of our police helicopters could land on the building because Bulba kept firing at them with his laser cannon," the officer added.
"Alright, I'll go check it out in the Thunderquack; its defenses should be strong enough to withstand the blasts," Dynamic announced before making his way out of the police station.
"Good luck out there Dynamic!," the officer called out to the hero as he left.
Once outside, Dynamic opened up the door of a purple aircraft that had two wings and was shaped like a duck's head; its name was the Thunderquack and it belonged to Darkwing Duck. He entered the Thunderquack to find the pilot for the aircraft named Launchpad McQuack sitting down in the pilot's seat.
"L.P., head to the top of Bulba's old tower, the Fearsome Four and him were spotted there," Dynamic Duck directed before sitting down next to Launchpad in the observer's seat and putting his seatbelt on.
"You've got it D.D.," Launchpad replied before taking off.
Once they were in the air, Dynamic Duck started typing something into the Thunderquack's supercomputer.
"I'm going to try and call Darkwing and let him know about Bulba," Dynamic Duck told Launchpad.
After continuing to fiddle with the supercomputer for a few minutes, Dynamic Duck was able to call Darkwing Duck with facecam. Darkwing Duck wore a costume that was similar to Dynamic Duck's costume; he wore a purple fedora with a black stripe, a purple mask, a dark purple jacket, and a black cape with a purple interior.
"Hey D.W., I found out where Bulba is hiding out, I'm sending you the coordinates now," Dynamic Duck told Darkwing as he started to use the Thunderquack's supercomputer to send Darkwing Bulba's location to the supercomputer in his lair.
"I'm going to be a little late helping you take down Bulba," Darkwing replied. "Gosalyn and I are trying to take down and arrest as many supervillains as we can with the help of S.H.U.S.H. and the Justice Ducks."
Dynamic Duck nodded his head in understanding, "Alright, while you guys handle that, Launchpad and I are going to try and stop Bulba."
"Sounds like a plan, Darkwing out!," Darkwing responded before ending the call.
Launchpad turned to face Dynamic Duck with a calm look on his face, "We're about to crash into Bulba's tower," he informed the hero.
Dynamic Duck smiled confidently before undoing his seatbelt and getting up from his chair.
"Alright Launchpad, let's do this," he stated before tipping his fedora a bit.
On top of Taurus Bulba's tower was the man in question, Taurus Bulba, an evil scientist turned crime boss who wants to alter reality in his own image. Due to a tough battle that he had with Dynamic Duck, Bulba now has cybernetic implants that replaced his arms, horns, legs, and right eye. Next to him was a supercomputer with a keyhole with a key inside of it and a gigantic machine with several people tied up on the machine's platform. The people tied to the machine were the Duck family, more specifically, Scrooge McDuck, his niece Della Duck, her kids Huey and Louie, Scrooge's housekeeper Bentina Beakley, and her granddaughter Webby Vanderquack.
"I cannae believe you were able to capture us," Scrooge admitted in a deadpan tone.
"To be fair, it was only due to all the commotion that was going on in the city," Huey reasoned.
"How are you all so calm about this; I'm going to send you guys to another dimension forever, and you're acting like this is normal" Bulba questioned.
"That's because to us, this is normal," Louie explained. "When you go on adventures with Scrooge McDuck, getting tied up and kidnapped is kinda par for the course."
"By the way, you're pretty bad at tying people up," Webby added before the ropes that restrained her fell to her feet, having been untied by Webby. "That knot was one of the easiest knots that I've ever untied."
"How were you able to do that?!," Bulba asked, shocked that Webby was able to do that.
Just as Webby was about to answer, Bulba held out his hand, signalling her to not say anything.
"Nevermind, it doesn't matter anyways because you're about to willingly let me tie you up again," Bulba stated with confidence.
"Why would I do that?," Webby asked, dawning a confused look on her face.
"Allow me to answer that question with a question; tell me, who is the one person from the Duck family that is not tied up next to you?," Bulba quizzed.
The Duck family's eyes all widened as they realized that there was someone from their family missing. Webby, thinking she figured out who had been missing, began to look worried.
"No, you don't mean…" Webby trailed off.
"Yes, now you're getting it," Bulba seemingly confirming Webby's suspicions.
"What did you do with Donald Duck you bad, baddy?!," Webby exclaimed.
Bulba began to laugh maniacally, "Hahaha, yes, I-, wait, what? No, I wasn't talking about Donald, I was talking about Dewey!"
Once Bulba suggested that he had done something to Dewey, the Duck family began to glare at Bulba.
"What have you done with my son you cyborg freak?! Tell me before I tear you limb from limb!," Della demanded, trying to break free.
"I have a proposition for you guys, it's a deal that you can't refuse," Bulba suggested. "I know that you guys are a very talented set of adventures; I know that you all can find a way to break out of those ropes and escape if you wanted to, but what if I told you that Dewey's fate depends on whether or not you guys try to leave?"
"What are you implying you maniacal miscreant?," Scrooge questioned, already having a good idea about what Bulba was implying.
"There's a reason why Dewey is not here right now. As I said before, I know you're all talented enough to set yourselves free, so once I realized this, I decided to use one of you guys as leverage to keep the rest of you guys here," Bulba revealed.
"But why Dewey, why choose him and not any of us?," Huey asked.
"Because every one of you here right now are smart enough to find a way to escape my clutches," Bulba explained. "Dewey, however, is the most average member of your entire family, so it makes perfect sense that I would kidnap him and hold him hostage in a remote location with Splatter Phoenix so that she could make sure he doesn't escape."
Bulba began walking closer to Webby until he was right in front of her and stared at her calmly while she glared at him.
"All I need to do is make a phone call to Splatter Phoenix, and even if I do not say a word to her, she will make sure Dewey Duck is no more," Bulba threatened. "So, if you want clan McDuck to live on once I zap you guys into another dimension, I suggest that Webby let me tie her up again and everyone else here not try to escape. Have I made myself clear?,"
Webby and the rest of the Duck family stayed silent and glared at Bulba, causing Bulba to bring out his phone and show them his contacts.
"I said, 'Have I made myself clear?,'" Bulba reiterated, having one of his pointer fingers hover over the contact name "Splatter Phoenix".
Webby was ready to try and fight against Bulba but stopped herself because she didn't want to risk Bulba contacting Splatter Phoenix.
"I-I-I-I… yes, you've made yourself clear," Webby conceded.
Bulba looked at the rest of the Duck family expectantly, waiting for them to give him some type of response.
"Aye, we heard ya clearly," Scrooge answered, seething with anger.
"Heard you loud and clear," Louie responded in a defeated tone.
"Yes, you've made yourself clear," Huey reiterated in anger.
"We heard you crystal clear," Beakley replied in disdain.
"I heard you just fine, but if you think for a second that I won't find a way to beat you and get Dewey back unharmed, then you're dead wrong!," Della Duck exclaimed. "Nothing can stop Della Duck!"
Bulba smiled sinisterly before grabbing the ropes that were next to Webby's feet, "Try and try all you like, but there's no way that you're going to get out of this without Dewey getting injured."
While Bulba attempted to tie Webby back up, he was having difficulties trying to tie the rope around Webby.
"Darn these ropes, why can't I tie a knot, I did it before?!," Bulba asked himself in anger.
Webby held her hand out towards Bulba, "Here, hand me the rope, I know how to tie someone up."
Bulba was a bit hesitant to give Webby the rope but ended up giving her the ropes and letting her tie herself back up; it's not like she would be able to try anything, not without Dewey getting hurt in the process.
Once Webby was tied up again, Louie began to chuckle, garnering Bulba's attention.
"What's so funny?," Bulba queried.
Louie stopped chuckling and smiled confidently at Bulba, "Oh nothing, just the fact that you underestimated my brother."
Bulba raised one of his eyebrows at Louie, "What are you talking about?"
"Trust me, I know my brother better than anyone, and I know that he's going to break free and help us," Louie stated, confident in his older brother.
Scrooge began to smile due to Louie's words, garnering a confident look on his face, "Aye, you're right lad." Scrooge turned his attention to Bulba, "My family are tougher than the toughies and sharper than the sharpies just like me, so I know that Dewey will find a way to break free from that vile villain's clutches."
Bulba couldn't help but roll his eyes at the younger and older duck, "Oh please, Dewey Duck is nothing but a duck with average intelligence who only knows how to recklessly run into danger and make it out alive due to sheer luck, just like that idiot Darkwing Duck."
Bulba stroked his chin, trying to remember something, "Now what was I going to say to you fools before I send you into another dimension?"
"You were going to say, 'I'm a big loser who's about to get his butt kicked!,'" a voice from above stated.
"No, I think I was going to say-. Wait a minute, who said that?!," Bulba demanded.
Suddenly, Dynamic Duck and Launchpad fell from the sky and landed right in front of Bulba, right before the Thunderquack crashed into the building.
"That would be me," Dynamic Duck claimed while having both his fists against his hips.
"Ah, Dynamic Duck, what a surprise. What, no smoke bombs today?," Bulba asked snidely.
"Actually, D.D. ran out of smoke bombs a few days ago," Launchpad admitted.
"Aw, that's too bad; I wanted to see your 'iconic' entrance one more time before I put an end to you," Bulba taunted.
Dynamic Duck couldn't help but roll his eyes at Bulba, "Oh please, everytime you say that, I always beat you in the end."
"Enough with the small talk, just hurry up and beat Bulba so we can escape," Louie demanded in annoyance.
Dynamic Duck then noticed that the Duck family were tied up behind Bulba on the platform of Bulba's machine before glaring at him.
"You were going to use the R.A.M. Rod on my-, I mean, the Duck family?!," Dynamic Duck asked, outraged.
"What's with the past tense Dynamic; don't say, 'you were,' say, 'you are'," Bulba corrected.
Dynamic Duck got into a fighting stance, ready to put an end to Bulba's plan, "Alright, that's it, bring it on Bulba!"
Just as Dynamic Duck and Launchpad were going to charge towards Bulba, Bulba held his hand up towards them, signaling them not to move.
"Uh, uh, uh, you aren't going to be fighting me," Bulba explained as he wagged his finger at them. He whistles and suddenly, a group of villains known as the Fearsome Four open the door leading to the balcony and walk out. "You're going to be fighting them."
Dynamic Duck and Launchpad turned around and glared at the supervillains that were in front of them; there was Quackerjack, a weirdo dressed in a jester's outfit who used gadgets that were toy related, Megavolt, a deranged lunatic dressed in a yellow jumpsuit and hat that looked like a plug who could manipulate electricity, Liquidator, a former salesman who was made of water, and the most sinister member of the group, Negaduck, Darkwing Duck's archnemesis who used to be the Darkwing Duck's actor from the show known as Jim Starling. Negaduck wore an outfit similar to Darkwing's but instead of wearing a purple jacket, purple mask, and purple fedora with a black band, he wore a yellow jacket, black mask, and a red fedora with a black band.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't Dynamic Dork. I've been waiting for another rematch against you," Negaduck confessed. "Leave this to me boys, I'll take on the kid and my former fan without breaking a sweat."
Dynamic Duck leaned close to Launchpad, "Try to stop Bulba from turning on the R.A.M. Rod for as long as you can; I'll take down the Fearsome Four," he whispered.
"You got it D.D.," Launchpad whispered back to Dynamic Duck.
Suddenly, Dynamic Duck seemed to vanish into thin air, causing Megavolt to groan in annoyance.
"Ah man, I hate when he does that!," Megavolt whines.
"Don't worry, I thought that he would try and use his cloaking ability," Negaduck confessed. "That's why I brought something with me that'll help."
Negaduck puts on a pair of infrared goggles and looks around for Dynamic Duck before feeling someone's foot kicking his back, causing Negaduck to fall forward. Once Negaduck fell to the ground, Launchpad charged towards Bulba and held onto one of his cybernetic arms as he tried to pull Bulba away from the R.A.M. Rod, unsuccessfully.
"Ugh, fine, I'll entertain you for a few minutes, but then I have to go back to changing reality for the better," Bulba relented before smacking Launchpad away from him and turning away from the R.A.M. Rod.
While Launchpad was trying to fight Bulba, Dynamic Duck was uncloaked, going head to head with Negaduck. Dynamic Duck kept dodging Negaduck's attacks while trying to punch him, only for Negaduck to block each of his attacks.
"You only beat me last time through sheer luck; give up kid, you're out of your league," Negaduck taunted.
Dynamic Duck smirked at Negaduck before leaping behind Negaduck and sweeping his legs.
"You sure about that dude?," Dynamic Duck asked rhetorically.
Negaduck glared at Dynamic Duck and growled at him, getting ready to get up and attack him. Once Negaduck was up on his feet again, he pulled out a chainsaw and charged towards Dynamic Duck. Before Negaduck could cut through him, Dynamic Duck grabbed onto the chainsaw and seemingly drained it of its power, causing Negaduck to stare at his chainsaw with a deadpan expression.
"I forgot that you could do that," Negaduck admitted plainly.
Suddenly, blue electricity covered Dynamic Duck's right hand, causing Negaduck to widen his eyes in shock and Dynamic Duck to just smile.
"Did you also forget that I could also do this?," Dynamic asked before punching Negaduck in the face with his right fist.
The impact of the punch combined with the electricity infused in the attack caused Negaduck to get sent flying backwards before falling to the ground and passing out.
"Boom! Finally beat you without breaking a sweat; who's the dork now?," Dynamic Duck taunted the unconscious Negaduck.
Dynamic turned his attention to the rest of the Fearsome Four and grinned smugly as they all looked ready to attack him.
"Your four against me, that doesn't seem very fair," Dynamic Duck admitted. He flicked his wrists and suddenly, whips made of some type of green colored energy were emitting from his wrists. "How about I fight only using my plasma whips so that you guys might actually stand a chance?"
Dynamic's taunt angered Quakerjack, Megavolt, and Liquidator, causing them to charge at the young hero. Just as Quakerjack was about to punch Dynamic Duck, Dynamic Duck wrapped one of his plasma whips around both of Quackerjack's arms, causing Quackerjack to yelp in pain due to the energy the whips emitted. Dynamic Duck then wraps the plasma whip he had used to trip Bushroot and wrapped it around one of Megavolt's hands. Megavolt began charging up electricity but before he could shock Dynamic, he pulled Megavolt towards Liquidator, causing Megavolt to shock Liquidator, making Liquidator turn into a puddle and Megavolt short-circuit and fall over in pain.
"I hate when him and Darkwing do that," Megavolt muttered to himself before coughing.
Dynamic then turned his attention back to Quackerjack, who had recovered from being knocked over and was winding up a jack-in-the-box. Before the jack-in-the-box could open up, Quackerjack faced the side of the box with the lid towards Dynamic Duck. Once the lid opened up, a boxing glove came out from inside the box and headed towards Dynamic Duck, but Dynamic Duck was able to dodge it before wrapping one of his whips around the spring that the boxing glove was connected to and pulled it away from Quackerjack. Dynamic Duck flicked his wrists again, causing the plasma whips to dissipate; he then put the boxing glove back inside and started to wind up the jack-in-the-box while smirking smugly.
"You're going to try and use my own toy against me?," Quackerjack laughed. "Man, you're even dumber than I thought; what stops me from dodging the glove like you did?"
"This," Dynamic Duck stated before activating his camouflage power, making him and the box turn invisible.
Quackerjack started to look around and tried to see if he could hear Dynamic Duck's footsteps so that he could dodge the boxing glove, but he only heard the sounds of Launchpad grunting while trying to fight Bulba. Before he knew it, he felt something hit his face hard, causing him to get knocked over; Dynamic Duck turned off his camouflage ability, revealing that he had not moved from the spot he had turned invisible and that he had used the jack-in-the-box to hit Quackerjack.
"I guess that the joke is on me," Quackerjack quipped in a pained voice before passing out.
Dynamic Duck looked at all the unconscious villains and smirked smugly.
"Fearsome Four, more like Frail Four!," Dynamic Duck taunted the unconscious villains.
"Hey, D.D., now that you're done with the Fearsome Four, do you mind giving me a hand with Bulba?," Launchpad requested while holding onto Bulba's cybernetic horns as Bulba tried to knock Launchpad off him.
"I'm on it," Dynamic announced before charging towards Bulba.
Bulba quickly turned his attention to Dynamic Duck before grabbing Launchpad off of his horns and throwing him backwards. One of Bulba's cybernetic arms had morphed into a cannon and shot out laser beams towards Dynamic, which Dynamic Duck was able to dodge.
"Would you just stay still for one second so that I could blast you?!," Bulba demanded as kept trying to blast Dynamic Duck.
"Why would I let you blast me, that doesn't make any sense," Dynamic Duck pointed out as he continued to dodge the lasers that were being shot at him.
Realizing that shooting at Dynamic Duck was getting him nowhere, Bulba's cannon changed back into an arm. Bulba's arms then changed into wings and legs merged together and became a rocket thruster, essentially transforming Bulba into a human rocket. Bulba flew towards Dynamic Duck and stabbed his stomach with his horns, causing Dynamic Duck to wince in pain.
"Ow, wish I dodged that!," Dynamic Duck yelped.
Bulba then flew higher into the air with his horns still piercing through Dynamic Duck's stomach. Pushing through the pain, Dynamic Duck channeled electricity into the palm of his hands and placed his electrified palm onto Bulba's head, causing Bulba to shout in pain.
"That's it, it's time I end you once and for all!," Bulba yelled before shaking his head, loosening his horn's grasp of Dynamic Duck's stomach until eventually his horns were free, causing Dynamic Duck to fall.
Thinking quickly, Dynamic Duck flicked his wrists and wrapped his plasma whips around Bulba's horns, causing him to get dragged along by Bulba as Bulba continued to fly through the sky.
"Give up now Dynamic Duck, I have the advantage in the air!," Bulba declared as he continued to drag Dynamic behind him.
"Alright, think D.D., think!," Dynamic urged himself. "Your plasma whips can't hurt him because of his cyborg parts and he's not close enough to use my Nega Strike or Nega Punch, so what do I do?,"
Suddenly, an idea came to the young hero, "Wait, if I channel Nega energy through my whips, then maybe…"
Dynamic Duck started channeling electricity through his plasma whips, causing Bulba to get shocked and cry out in pain. Suddenly, Bulba's rocket thrusters stopped working, causing Bulba to crash downwards.
"Oh no, your electricity caused my cybernetic enhancements to short circuit!," Bulba yelled. "I can't keep us airborne, we're going to crash!,"
"Actually, it's only you who's going to crash," Dynamic Duck corrected before unwrapping one of his plasma whips and flicking his wrist, causing the plasma whip to dissipate.
Dynamic Duck then reached into his pocket and pulled out a grappling gun before flicking his other wrist, causing the other plasma whip to dissipate and for him to fall. Dynamic Duck quickly pulled the trigger of the grappling gun, causing the grappling hook to shoot out and attach itself to the railing on the balcony of Bulba's building, bringing Dynamic Duck up to the roof while Bulba kept falling down.
"No!," Bulba yelled out before crashing onto the streets of St. Canard.
Once Bulba was on the ground, Dynamic Duck had made it to the balcony of Bulba's building again. Dynamic quickly turned his attention to the R.A.M. Rod and saw that the Duck family had been untied and that Launchpad and them were using the rope that had been used to restrain them to restrain Megavolt, Negaduck, and Quackerjack. Since Liquidator had become a puddle of water due to losing consciousness, Launchpad scooped up Liquidator using a purple thermos with Darkwing Duck's face on it before putting it into his pocket, much to Beakley's confusion.
"Why did you have that on you?," Beakley questioned.
"I was thirsty before I left, so I filled my thermos with water and drank from it while I was flying," Launchpad explained.
"Are you guys okay, anybody hurt?," Dynamic Duck interrupted as he made his way over to the Duck family.
"We're fine, Bulba didn't lay a finger on us," Louie admitted.
"That's good," Dynamic Duck sighed in relief before looking at the Duck family in confusion. "Wait, if Bulba didn't lay a finger on you, then how did he capture you guys?"
"While we were trying to get to our limo, Bulba came up behind us and sprayed us with something that caused us to fall unconscious," Huey revealed.
Suddenly, Dynamic Duck feels a surge of pain coming from his stomach and winces. He looks down to see blood coming out of two holes from his stomach that Bulba made when he stabbed Dynamic Duck with his horns. Huey looked down at Dynamic Duck's stomach and cringed at the injury he had gotten.
"Your adrenaline must have worn off, which is why you now feel the full effect of Bulba's attack," Huey deduced, concern clear in his voice. "That looks pretty bad; are you going to be okay?"
"Yeah, don't worry about it, I've dealt with worse," Dynamic reassured, although the look of pain on his face did nothing to reassure Huey.
Huey took off his hat and pulled out a first aid kit from inside, confusing Dynamic Duck in the process.
"How were you able to fit a first aid kit inside your hat?," Dynamic asked.
"That's not important right now," Huey reassured before putting his hat back on and opening up the first aid kit.
Huey took out gauze and a bandage and started applying gauze on Dynamic's stomach wound before wrapping a bandage over it as well.
"There, that should help until you're brought to a hospital," Huey claimed, satisfied with his work.
Surely enough, the wound didn't hurt as much as it did; it still hurt a lot, but at least it had been more bearable.
"Thanks Hue-, I mean, thank you stranger, that helped a lot," Dynamic Duck praised.
Suddenly, Della Duck pushed past Huey so that she could be face to face with the teenage crime fighter.
"That was awesome, kid, very impressive!," Della complimented, excited to be. "You took down Bulba like he was nothing!,"
Dynamic Duck rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, "I am pretty awesome, aren't I?"
Della chuckled at Dynamic's brag before nodding her head in approval.
"Alright, I tied up the villains and called the cops so that they can pick up the Fearsome Four, D.D.," Launchpad informed his partner as he made his way over to him.
"Cool, I'll call Darkwing Duck to see if he still needs help taking down those other supervillains," Dynamic Duck stated before turning his attention to the Duck family. "But first, let's get you guys out of St. Canard until every villain's been rounded up."
Launchpad looks at Dynamic Duck with a concerned look on his face before placing a hand on his shoulder.
"D.D., you should go to the hospital," Launchpad insisted.
"Come on L.P., this is nothing," Dewey promised.
Not even two seconds after reassuring Launchpad, Dynamic Duck grabbed his stomach in pain after feeling another flash of pain.
"On second thought, maybe I should see a doctor," Dynamic decided. "But how am I going to explain this to the hospital without giving away my identity?"
"You should be more worried about how you're going to deal with me," a voice had come from behind him.
Dynamic and the rest of the Duck family turned around to see Negaduck, free from the rope that had confined, standing right next to the R.A.M. Rod.
"Oh, come on, why won't you just give up?!," Dynamic Duck asked in frustration.
Negaduck smiles sinisterly, making everyone, even the fearless adventurer Scrooge McDuck, shiver.
"I won't give up until you and Darkwing Dunce are dead," Negaduck confessed before turning the key inside the supercomputer, activating the R.A.M. Rod.
Negaduck then took the key out of the supercomputer and crushed it in his hands before laughing maniacally as the red portal that the R.A.M. Rod created was starting to get bigger. Dynamic Duck quickly turned his attention to Launchpad and the Duck family, dawning a serious look on his face.
"Alright, I need everyone to clear out now!," Dynamic Duck demanded.
"Hold on a second, lad, we're not going anywhere," Scrooge insisted. "We've dealt with way worse villains than him."
"It's not just Negaduck that's the problem, it's the R.A.M. Rod," Dynamic explained. "Now that the key is gone, it'll become unstable and too dangerous for you guys to be around. I'm the only one here who can absorb its energy and shut it down, and I need you guys away from here when I do."
Scrooge looked ready to argue, but Huey cut him off before he had a chance to do so.
"Uncle Scrooge, Dynamic Duck is right," Huey agreed. "If we don't leave, one of us could get injured, or worse."
Scrooge was reluctant but conceded once he saw the pleading look on Huey's face.
"You're right, lad, we should get out of here," Scrooge yielded before turning his attention to Dynamic Duck. "Are you sure you're gonna be alright?"
"Positive, now get out of here!," Dynamic urged.
Launchpad did not want to listen to Dynamic Duck's instructions; he didn't want to leave one of his closest friends behind to deal with Negaduck and the R.A.M. Rod, it just felt wrong.
"I'm not going to leave you D.D.; what kind of friend just leaves their friend alone to battle a supervillain and shut down a dangerous machine, especially when their friend is injured by another villain stabbing him in the stomach with his robot horns?"
"Launchpad, I don't have time to argue with you, just get out of here!," Dynamic exclaimed.
Launchpad shook his head in response, further frustrating Dynamic Duck before calming down and finding a different way to tell Launchpad to leave.
"Launchpad, I promise, I'm going to be okay," Dynamic assured. "You've gotta let me do this alone, I'm the only one who can shut down the R.A.M. Rod now. Get everyone out of here, alright?"
Launchpad seemed hesitant until a stray bolt of energy that came from the R.A.M. Rod's portal had almost hit him and the Duck family.
"Fine, but I'm coming back for you later," Launchpad stated.
"Sure, whatever, just go!," Dynamic agreed, not knowing what he agreed to due to wanting everyone away from the R.A.M. Rod.
Launchpad reluctantly nodded his head in agreement before picking up and putting Quackerjack and Megavolt over his shoulder.
"Come on guys, let's go," Launchpad instructed before him and the Duck family exited out of the door that led to the balcony.
Dynamic Duck quickly turned his attention to Negaduck and glared at him while Negaduck just smiled at him.
"Finally, it's just you and me," Negaduck acknowledged. "The only reason that I didn't stop those idiots from leaving is so that I could take you on with no distractions."
Negaduck pulled out what seemed to be a flashlight and the infrared goggles that he had on before from inside his jacket. He slips the goggles over his face before pressing a button on the side of the flashlight, revealing that it was actually some type of laser beam sword.
"My mistake before was not using my best weapon to take you down, but I won't make that same oversight again; you're not making it out of here alive, kid."
"If all you wanted to do was fight me, then why activate the R.A.M Rod and stop it from being able to shut down with the key?," Dynamic questioned.
Negaduck scowled due to Dynamic's question, "Because, if the world can't acknowledge or appreciate how great I am and spends its time praising hacks like you or Darkwing, then it shouldn't have the chance to exist!"
Dynamic Duck scowled right back at Negaduck, "I'm not going to let you destroy the world, Starling; one way or another, you're going down!,"
"Let's see if I can do what Bulba did and gore you!," Negaduck exclaimed before charging towards Dynamic Duck with his laser sword while Dynamic Duck charged towards him with both his fists coated with electricity.
Having run four blocks away from Bulba's tower, the Duck family decided to stop and relax.
"Should we really be stopping considering that the city is being overrun by criminals?," Huey asked in concern.
"Relax Huey, there's no one here except for us," Louie pointed out.
Huey looked around and saw that Louie was right, there weren't any criminals around them at all.
"That's pretty weird, before we had to fight our way through a group of criminals so that we could get to our limo, but now, there aren't any criminals as far as the eye can see. I'm not complaining, but what happened to the criminals?," Huey pondered.
"D.W. and S.H.U.S.H. probably arrested them all," Launchpad revealed. "D.W. is working with all of S.H.U.S.H.'s agents and the Justice Ducks so that they can bring down all the bad guys; at least, that's what he told me."
"I wonder where he is now?," Webby wondered.
Suddenly, the sound of a motorcycle came from behind them; they turned around and saw Darkwing Duck riding on a purple motorcycle with someone riding in the small sidecar that was connected to the vehicle. The person riding in the sidecar was a girl with light brown feathers and dark red hair tied into a ponytail. She wore a jade green bomber jacket with a lavender hoodie underneath, and black pants. Once they got close enough to the Duck family, Darkwing parked his motorcycle right in front of them and got off the bike with the red haired girl in tow, both making their way to Launchpad.
"Launchpad, what's the situation, has Bulba been taken care of?," Darkwing asked.
"Well, I got some good news and some bad news," Launchpad replied. "The good news is that D.D. took down Bulba, Liquidator, Megavolt, and Quackerjack."
Darkwing and the red haired girl took note of the unconscious Quackerjack and Megavolt slung over Launchpad's shoulders and smiled.
"Dynamic took down Bulba and the Fearsome Four, that sounds like a victory to me. How could there be any bad news?," the red haired girl questioned.
"Negaduck was able to slip by us, activate the R.A.M. Rod, and destroy the Solego Circuit," Launchpad revealed.
Darkwing Duck and the red haired girl widened their eyes in shock at the news that they had just heard.
"Negaduck destroyed the Solego Circuit; that's the worst news I've heard all night!," Darkwing exclaimed. Suddenly, a realization came to the duck hero, "Wait a second, where's Negaduck right now, and where's Dynamic Duck?"
"D.D. told me to get the McDuck family away from Bulba's tower and that I could come back after I got them away," Launchpad revealed, feeling a bit guilty for leaving his friend, even if he was coming back to help him
The red haired girl had a look of distress due to what Launchpad revealed to her.
"We've got head over there now!," the red haired girl commanded.
Darkwing nodded his head in agreement before heading over to his motorcycle and sitting down on it, "Gosalyn, L.P., let's get dangerous!"
Gosalyn and Launchpad quickly made their way over to the sidecar, but before they could get in, they heard a loud crackling sound coming from behind them. They turned around and saw an explosion of red electricity coming from the top of Bulba tower, destroying the building in the process.
"No, Dewey!," Gosalyn yelled in fear.
Gosalyn's shouting garnered the attention of the entire Duck family.
"Wait, did you just say, Dewey?," Webby asked.
"Why would you yell his name, unless…," Huey trailed off.
"Unless, Dewey's actually Dynamic Duck!," Louie concluded.
Della gasped in surprise, "Oh my gosh, my little boy! Hang in there Turbo, mama's coming for you!," she yelled before running in the direction of the explosion.
"Della, wait for us!," Scrooge called out to her before running after her with Beakley in tow.
"Hey, wait for us!," Louie called out before Webby, Huey, and him ran after their family.
Gosalyn began to follow them before Darkwing grabbed her by her hood, stopping her from moving. Gosalyn turned around and glared at Darkwing, "Why are you stopping me, I need to go see him?!"
"I know, I just thought it would be faster if we went on the Ratcatcher," Darkwing explained.
Gosalyn blushed a bit in embarrassment due to overreacting, "Oh, yeah, that's actually a good idea."
Gosalyn quickly got inside the sidecar with Launchpad, Megavolt, and Quackerjack squeezing her while Darkwing sat down on the Ratcatcher and revved up its engines.
"This is a bit of a tight fit," Gosalyn pointed out.
"Sorry, but there's no other place to put them," Launchpad apologized.
"Hang in there Dynamic, we're coming for you!," Darkwing declared before riding towards the direction of the building.
When the Duck family finally made it back to where the explosion occurred, they saw that Darkwing, Gosalyn, and Launchpad were desperately digging through the rubble of the destroyed building, trying to find Dewey's body. The Duck family quickly rushed over and began helping them dig through the rubble, desperately trying to find Dewey.
"Oh, my gosh, Dewey!," Gosalyn exclaimed, having found Dewey's body underneath the rubble.
While Gosalyn pulled him out of the rubble, everyone quickly rushed over to where she found Dewey. Their stomachs churned as they got a good look at him: he was unconscious, his fedora was nowhere to be found, the sleeves of his jacket, most of his torso, and mask was burned off somehow, and he had bruises, cuts, and burn marks all over his body. Gosalyn checked his pulse and felt his heartbeat faintly.
"Someone call 911!," Gosalyn cried before trying to give him CPR.
Scrooge quickly brought out his phone and shakily typed in the numbers for 911. As he waited for someone to pick up, tears began to fall down his face as he saw Gosalyn continue to give his nephew CPR while his family, Darkwing Duck, and Launchpad were right next to Dewey's body while she did this.
"Dewey, you're one of the strongest people I know, please fight through this!," Gosalyn begged before checking his pulse again, only to find out that it hasn't changed.
"Dewey, you've got to push through this, I believe in you!," Webby encouraged with tears in her eyes.
"Sweetie, please, wake up!," Della pleaded.
"Come on, sidekick, please, wake up!," Darkwing Duck begged.
The sound of someone's voice on the other line made him turn his focus from his family, back to his phone.
"911, what's your emergency?," the operator asked.
As Scrooge began to tell the operator about his injured nephew, one thought couldn't stop plaguing his mind: why did this happen?
Alright, hey guys, Phoenix here, and I hope you enjoyed the first chapter of "Darkwing Duck: Dynamic." Although this is the first chapter, this chapter is in reverse order, so the next chapter and onwards will tell the story of how it all led to this moment. Once the story reaches these events again, I will show how the fight between Negaduck and Dewey went down as well as how Dewey shut down the R.A.M. Rod. The next chapter will be titled, "New Opportunities." Make sure to review, give me your honest criticisms, and follow and favorite if you liked the chapter. Hope you enjoyed, and until next time, later!
