Chapter Ten: Explanations during the expedition

Brooks, San, Nieves, Woodward and the rest of the expedition team ran to where Broly had crashed. When they reached the Saiyan, Brooks ran right up to him and tried to shake him awake while saying, "Broly! Are you all right?!"

When the Saiyan didn't wake up, Brooks shook him harder and said, "Come on, wake up, Broly!"

The Saiyan's eyes started to flutter as he regained consciousness. Brooks breathed a sigh of relief to know that Broly was still alive. They were all surprised when they heard two people shouting, "Broly!"

Everyone looked to see Lemo, Cheelai, Conrad, Weaver and Slivko running out of the trees over to them. Brooks, San and the Landsat team were completely shocked when they saw Cheelai and Lemo's real faces. Getting over his shock, Brooks stood up and said, "Thank goodness you made it."

"Well talk to you." Cheelai said with a slight glare. Then she added, "After we see if Broly's alright."

Brooks, San and the Landsat team made room for the two as they rushed up to Broly. The Saiyan sat up as he looked to his two friends and said, "Cheelai, Lemo. Are you all right?"

"Are we all right?" Cheelai questioned as the two kneeled down to him. She wrapped her arms around his neck, slightly confusing Broly as she said, "We were more worried about you. Are you all right?"

"Yeah, your power just went out of control." Lemo added with worry on his face. Then he added, "We saw that you were doing just fine at first, but then you transformed and it looked like you were losing control."

(Cue The Wild Child, Broly track from DBS Broly)

Broly looked troubled by this as he glanced down when suddenly his wound acted up again. He cried out in pain, startling everyone and looked down to his leg. Cheelai then said, "What is up with that wound on your leg?"

"Not sure." Broly said as it calmed down. Lemo then said, "It seems that whenever you start to fight or experience anger, the wound will act up."

"But when he was fighting Kong it caused a major power drop." Cheelai pointed out. Conrad then asked, "How do you know it reacts when he's angry?"

"We saw it happen while we were working on the time machines." Cheelai said, ready to explain everything. Dr. Nieves looked to them and said, "Not that any of us don't find the fact of aliens or time machines fascinating, but…" Pointing a finger at the three of the time travelers and questioned, "But who the heck are you and that other guy?"

"They're friends." Brooks said as he moved between him and the three. Glancing back he then said, "And I think that it's time we explained everything." Turning to them he said, "I have something to tell you guys."

"And we to you as well." Lemo said before sighing. Cheelai then started, "Us and 17 come from the year 2019, exactly forty-six years into your future. A monster with Broly's pure power inside of it. Some how it was sent a couple of days from now to his island to kill Kong."

"Kong?" Conrad, Weaver and Brooks asked in confusion. Cheelai, Broly and Lemo all looked to the Titan as he stomped off. The rest of the expedition slightly understood as they continued, "We don't know much about that giant ape, but we do know that he and the expedition team is important to keep the future intact."

"When does this monster get here?" James asked, wanting to know everything that the team knew. Cheelai took a breath before saying, "All we know is that it's supposed to appear in a day or two."

"And you came here when you did in order to meet it." Brooks guessed. Lemo nodded and said, "That was the plan." With a shrug of his shoulders he said, "Hopefully it still is."

"I have a question for you." Weaver said to Broly as he remained sitting. He looked to her and asked, "What exactly was happening when you were fighting the monster just now?"

"Kakarot and Vegeta call it the Super Saiyan transformation." Broly told them as he stood up. Then he added, "And I was hoping not to have used it."

"So much for that." Cheelai said while crossing her arms. Lemo then added, "I'm just glad that you didn't kill him. Otherwise, we would have come back for nothing."

(End of track)

"What happens if Kong had died?" Nieves asked with a quirked brow. Cheelai then said, "Let's just say that we would have done the monster's job for it. And the future would be in worse trouble."

"I heard you mention two others." Conrad reminded. Broly looked to him and he said, "Kakarot and Vegeta are Saiyans like me." Then gesturing to him and his friends he said, "We all come from Universe Seven."

"Universe Seven?" Dr. Nieves asked with a skeptical look. With a shake of his head he said, "Now I know that you people are crazy. There's only one universe."

"Maybe your Earth knows it now." Cheelai said with a shrug. Then with a chuckle she said, "But give it forty-six years."

"Plus," Brooks added as he looked to the Landsat leader, "given what we just saw, I don't disbelieve it."

"You can't be serious, Brooks." Woodward said before adding, "Sure we just saw him take on a giant monkey-"

"Ape." Broly, Lemo, Cheelai, Brooks, San, Conrad and Weaver all corrected at the same time. But Woodward then said, "But…"

"You know, we could continue to argue about this," James started to point out, "or we could go and see if we can locate any other survivors."

"I like that plan." Cheelai agreed. Lemo raised his hand and said, "Me too."

Broly, Brooks, Weaver, Slivko and San all raised their hands in agreement to this. Slivko then said, "The radio back at our crash site might still work." But then he shrugged and said, "But who knows."

(Cue Broly on the Frontier track from DBS Broly)

"Then we make our way back." James decided. No one argued with him as they all started to head out. As the Landsat team and Slivko took the lead, James, Mason, the three time travelers and San remained at the back with Brooks. Looking to the Monarch scientist Cheelai then asked, "So what exactly were the explosives for? You said that you would explain."

"Right." Brooks said as he looked down. Then he said, "My purpose for the explosives were to help to see if a theory of mine was correct, the Hollow Earth Theory. You see it's where…"

"The Earth is much more hollow in places." Lemo finished. They looked to him as he said, "Your theory is pretty much proven in the future. Your future self even talked about it."

"Oh, right." Houston said as he remembered. Then he said, "But what Randa was planning to do, now that's where I knew that things would get dicey."

\_|_/

"I can't believe he would want that." Cheelai said when they made it to the crash site of their chopper. She leaned up against a tree, Broly and Lemo stood to the side while James and Weaver all sat on the side of the chopper when it had cooled off as the five contemplated on what Brooks told them on the way over. She then asked, "Why would he want to kill Kong and the other Titans?"

"He's probably like the others who feel that they were in the line of fire when the Titans did show up." Lemo guessed. Then he added, "And no doubt that Packard will probably be upset over all this."

"Yeah, no kidding." Cheelai said. Looking between her and her two friends she said, "He'll probably blame us for the lost lives of his soldier buddies. He's wound up even more tighter than I saw of Frieza."

"We'll deal with that when the time comes." James promised. He picked up a pair of binoculars and walked off to see what he could. Then looking to them he said, "I'm going to look around, see if I can't spot any survivors."

As he walked off, Broly gasped in pain when his wound starting to act up again. The three looked to him and Weaver asked, "Have you treated it?"

"Yeah, it was treated." Cheelai nodded. But she looked totally confused when she said, "But for some reason, the doctors couldn't tell what was wrong with him exactly."

"But it is what's making him go berserk right?" She asked. They all nodded and she said, "Maybe there's something on the island that could help."

"Yeah, maybe." Lemo agreed. But then he added, "But we don't know anything about this island."

"True." Weaver agreed. The four were lost in thought as they sat there.

(End of track)

James used a pair of binoculars to see if he could spot any survivors from their own crashes. The only other sounds were animal noises and the sound of stomping feet. He turned around and spotted Kong as the Titan walked away between two mountains and disappeared behind a smoke cloud. The tracker of the team lowered his binoculars and looked back to the wreckage. Slivko held the radio and tried to get a radio frequency and said, "Calling all units! Is anybody airborne?"

He carried the radio as he amongst the rest of the team, "I repeat, is anybody airborne?"

"They're all down." Conrad said as he walked back to them. With a shake of his head he informed, "Every one of the choppers is down." He called out, "Broly, Cheelai, Lemo, Weaver, over here."

As the four joined them, James gave a plan based on their position, "We're on the south side of the island." Pointing to the direction of what he saw he said, "There's a river a couple of klicks from here. If we stick to its banks, we'll make it to the exfil site on the northern shore."

"And then what?" Nieves asked after Conrad passed him. Then he reminded, 'All of our choppers are down." Then he pointed to the three and said, "And it's not like the three of them can fly us out."

"First off, thanks for restating the obvious." Cheelai said while placing her hands on her hips. Then she added, "Second of all, only Broly and 17 can fly." Then she walked over to the tallest of the group, "Plus, Broly's injury."

"And we'll find a way to signal the ship." Conrad said, thinking ahead for when the time came. Then he pointed out, "They'll more than likely send a search party." But then he added, "We just have to make it by the exit window."

Everyone's eyes widened to this and hoped that they would. Nieves shook his head before commenting about his life choices, "I really should be sitting at a desk."

"So, wait," Slivko said, going back to the subject of Kong, "are we just not gonna talk about this anymore?"

"My best guess is that we're scattered over a four to five mile radius." James guessed about everyone's positions after Kong's attack. Walking over to the majority of the group he suggested of when they met someone, "We should head north and join anyone we find."

"Sounds good." Cheelai agreed. Slivko then said, "You know, I was kind of okay a few minutes ago, but know I'm starting to lose it."

They all looked to the soldier as he said, "You know this is not normal, right? They are not normal! Stuff like that, like them, it doesn't just happen!" He looked to the three and quickly added, "No offense."

"I'm not sure how to take that. I know that there are a few tough cases where everything can't be explained all the way." Cheelai admitted. Lemo then shrugged as he agreed, "Yeah, it wasn't that discriminating to me. It was a little bizarre."

Broly walked over to Slivko and said, "It will be all right. Try to keep yourself calm."

Though the soldier was slightly put off by the Saiyan and what he could do, Slivko suddenly found himself calming down. Lemo and Cheelai looked to each other as they were both confused and yet impressed by how Broly was able to help the kid out.

Over at another crash site, Chapman sat by a radio, a little banged up from the crash but still kicking, as he heard Packard's voice come over it, "This is Fox Leader to Fox Group! Anybody with ears, come back. Respond. Over."

"Fox, Chapman." Jack said as he pressed the button. He took a glance at his dead copilot. When he let go he heard Packard said, "Fox Six, Chapman. Say again, your last."

He took a breath before opening his mouth to respond.

\_|_/

At Packard's crash site, he held the radio as Chapman said, "Four klicks west, highest peak… November Alpha 3, 0, 0. Over."

"Roger that, Chapman." Packard said after pressing the button. Then he repeated, "West highest mountain peak. Over."

"Fox Six confirm, we're at the Sea Stallion." He responded. Packard then ordered, "Chapman, hold your position. We'll come to you. There's enough munitions on that Sea Stallion to kill this thing."

His mind was on vengeance for his men as he thought of them losing their lives to the ape monsters. But he didn't say anything yet as Packard then told Chapman, "Survey your perimeter. Locate possible ambush sites. Over."

Packard waited for a response, but all he got was static. Bringing up the radio, he pressed the button and said, "Chapman."

He didn't get a clear answer and silently cursed that he had lost the signal. Looking to the soldier sitting on a rock he said, "Reles, taking an R and R day, or are you good to go?"

"I'm good to go, sir." Reles nodded. Packard the beckoned him to get up and get moving before turning and walked off. Reles took a deep breath and get up before walking off.

\_|_/

"Chapman to all stations." Chapman tried to radio while walking along the back of the chopper. Though he only got static, he knew that he wasn't alone on the island. Then he reported, "Recon environment. Over."

Lowering the antennae, he placed the radio in one of his pouches before pulling out his knife. He looked about the area before walking off to carry out his mission.

Cole took out a can from his rations and started to open it up. Once the lid was off, he said a quick word of thanks before dipping his spoon into the can of meat and started eating. Not far from where he was sitting, Mills was collecting and gathering what supplies remained. Dropping some ammunitions onto the pile, Mills looked up to see Cole just sitting there as he ate. With a shake of his head he questioned, "Cole, what's wrong with you?"

Cole didn't say anything as he continued eating. Not understanding his friend's logic he said, "How do you even got an appetite right now?"

Cole looked up from his can and when he didn't say anything Mills shrugged as if to ask. Cole then shrugged and said, "Eating's for the living."

"We just got taken down by a monkey the size of a building!" Mills reminded, feeling that this was the moment of feeling weirded out. But Cole simply said, "Yeah." Then playing it off as something not totally bizarre he said, "That was an unconventional encounter."

He started to eat again while Mills then asked, "Is that really all your brain is telling itself right now?"

Cole shrugged and pointed out, "There's no tactical precedence. We did the best we could in the situation."

He took a final piece of meat from the can before throwing it off the side. Mills just shook his head as he couldn't understand Cole. 17 came up next to him and said, "It's his way of processing things. It's better not to question it."

"See?" Cole called from his spot. Pointing to the android he said, "He gets it."

Cole, 17 and Mills all slightly chuckled from that when they heard Packard's voice call out, "Griffin Co.!"

They all looked up to see the colonel and Reles walking to them over a hillside. Everyone smiled to see that they had made it. Packard even smiled when he came up to the group and shook their hands while he said, "Thank God you guys are okay!"

While the soldiers hugged it out, 17 came up behind them and was immediately noticed by Packard. Releasing Cole the colonel then said to the android, "And while I do have a few questions for you and your friends, I do thank you for keeping my boys alive."

"It is good to see you sir." Cole put in while Mills said that they were all right. Packard looked to the three and asked, "How many are left?"

"Seven survivors." Mills informed. With a look of regret he informed, "Seven confirmed KIA." He sounded sad as he listed the names, "Galleta, Saraf, and Hodges."

Packard looked around before sighing and Mills said, "Slivko, the other three and the rest of the group are unknown."

He held up a few dog tags of the fallen soldiers. Packard took the dog tags from him and thought of the men he had lost today. His heart heavy with loss, Packard shook the dog tags as he thought hard on what to do. 17 then said, "I'm truly sorry for the loss of your men."

"It's not you who needs to be sorry." Packard said, not turning to the android, sighing as his thoughts turned to the one who had brought them here. When he did turn around, Packard looked around and then questioned, "Where's Randa?"

"He's this way. I left him alone while coming over to check on your men." 17 said, and guided Packard along the river bank. They soon found the head of Monarch as he sat down on a box from one of the crashed choppers. 17 hung back behind Packard as the colonel said, "How you doing?"

"I'm fine." Randa said while he was holding a stick. Packard sat down as Bill then said, "Thank you." Then looking up to 17 he said, "And I'm sure that explanations can be given now."

"Oh, he can give his explanations soon enough." Packard said, stealing Randa's attention. The head of Monarch looked to him as Packard added, "I was real worried about you."

17 knew that it was a lie by the sound of Packard's voice, but he didn't say anything as he watched the scene unfold. His eyes widened when he watched the Colonel pull out his pistol and aim it at Randa. 17 moved between them and tried to calm the tension down by saying, "Let's not do anything we might regret, Packard."

"Oh, I won't." The colonel assured the android. He glanced over to Randa with a glare as he said, "But only if he gives me the answers that I want." Then to Randa he said, "You are going to tell us everything we don't know, or I'm gonna blow your head off. And he won't stop me."

17 only gave him a look that said otherwise.

(Cue Monsters Exist track from DBS Broly)

Randa knew that the man wouldn't think twice if he didn't get the answers, so he decided to let the truth out, "Monsters exist."

"No duh, Einstein." Packard said, given what had just happened. Randa shook his head when he said, "Nobody believed me." Then with a mocking look in his eye he said, "Yesterday, I was a crackpot. But today…"

"You proved those who didn't believe you wrong." 17 finished, and Randa nodded to confirm it. Packard then shook his head and guessed, "So this was never about geology. You dropped those charges to flush something out." Then wanting to know more about Randa he questioned, "Who are you?"

"Either one of you heard of the USS Lawton?" Randa asked, and both of them shook their heads. Looking to 17 he said, "I would have thought they would have released intel on it in the future."

Both Packard and 17's eyes widened to Randa telling that. Packard looked to the android and asked, "What's he talking about?"

17 thought not of answering, but he knew that it was out of the bag. With a sigh he started, "I'm an android that came from Universe Seven to help fight a monster that was sent back to this year and to this exact island."

Looking to Randa he then added, "Not only were we sent to stop it, we were also tasked to keeping the expedition team alive."

"And look how that turned out." Randa commented. Packard then said, "You better shut up. Your charges didn't exactly help."

"So you keep explaining." 17 added. Randa groaned in irritation before continuing, "Well no one in the public had either." Retelling what had happened he said, "Out of a thousand young men on that ship, I was the only survivor. They told my family she was sun kin battle, but I know what I saw."

With a look of hatred as he remembered that day, "It had no conscience. No reasoning, just destroy. I spent the last thirty years trying to prove the truth of what I learned that day." Packard and 17's eyes widened as he continued, "This planet doesn't belong to us.

"Ancient species owned this Earth long before mankind." Randa said as he words reminded 17 all of what he had seen. But he didn't say anything when Randa said, "And if we keep our heads buried in the sand, they will take it back."

"And how do you plan to stop them?" 17 questioned, drawing their attention to him. Then he reminded, "I came from a future where these creatures aren't hurting anyone."

"And yet…" Packard said while gesturing to the battle not too long ago. 17 looked to the colonel and reminded, "We're on his turf, remember."

Though Packard didn't like the android's answer, he kept silent as Randa then said, "My agency is known as Monarch. We specialize in the hunt for Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organisms."

"You knew that the ape was out here?" Packard asked referring to Kong. Randa then apologized, "I'm sorry for your men, Colonel, I truly am."

Packard didn't know whether to believe in Randa's words or not, but he listened closely what he said next, "You get us back home, and with proof. So we can send in the cavalry."

17's eyes went wide to this betrayal as Packard stood up. He kept the pistol trained on the scientist before putting it away. The colonel continued to glare at the two men before turning and walking away. But before he rejoined his remaining men he stated, "I am the cavalry."

17 watched the colonel as he walked away, not liking where this was starting to head. When he was gone, 17 turned to Randa and said, "You know that our mission is to protect Kong. To protect your world's future."

"And we can do that." Randa firmly stated. He then smirked as he said, "This is the atomic age. We'll have enough firepower to kill all the monsters out there."

"They're not the monsters." 17 said with a shake of his head. He turned and followed after the colonel. But he stopped short and said, "You saw what your 'firepower' did against Kong. But you haven't even seen the real competition yet."

(End of track)

Randa watched the android walk off with a questioning look before becoming lost in thought.

\_|_/

"It's called the Hollow Earth theory." Brooks explained fully as they walked through a section of the island's jungle. He carried one of the guns as he said, "Randa hired me because I wrote a paper substantiating what most people think would be a crackpot idea."

"A few friends of ours actually told us an experience with the Hollow Earth, actually." Lemo said from behind, also carrying a weapon. Brooks looked back to him and asked, "Your friends did?"

"Yeah. During a mission, they said they found a vortex that lead into the Hollow Earth to reach a place hidden from the rest of the world." Cheelai added. Gesturing to the island she said, "Not unlike this place."

"Wow." Brooks said in fascination. With a shake of his head he continued, "Anyway, it was mostly supposed to tell us about the massive underground spaces isolated from the surface world."

"Like the passageway they had just described." San said. Then she added, "Randa believed that this island may be one of those."

"And you guys were right." Cheelai said. Brooks and San looked to her as she said, "Your future counterpart warned us that tunnels stretched out from the island to the rest of the world."

"They also can act like homes for ancient species like what we had just seen." Brooks added. They came into a tall field of grass when Brooks talked about Randa's theory, "I thought that he was out of his mind."

"Well, given the fact that he wanted to derail our mission and had you lie straight to our faces…" Cheelai commented as they walked in a single file line through the grass, "I would have thought that too."

Slivko tried to use the radio again and said into it, "This is Slivko. Do you read? Anybody out there?" Then he tried to inform, "We're headed north to the exfil location."

He looked to the group as they came by the river and added, "Everyone here seems way too calm right now."

"We're mostly calm because we're not in any real danger." Cheelai put in. Then she looked behind her and said, "Plus, Broly could tell if something threatening was coming at us, right?"

Broly looked to her and nodded in confirmation. It didn't do much to quell Slivko's fears about the island. Then he said into the radio, "Do you copy? Anybody?"

But the only thing he heard on the radio was static. Lemo then suggested, "The mountains between us could be blocking the signal. And that's why you're getting so much interference."

"He's right." Conrad agreed, "We're too out of range, Slivko. So you'll just have to wait until then."

"Uh." Slivko groaned before putting the radio away. James then suggested, "You should save it for when we get closer to the group."

"It's too bad that one of us isn't with 17." Cheelai said as she looked to Lemo. Then she wished, "I also wish that my scouter didn't blow up when it did. Then if my first wish happened, we might have been able to communicate better."

"That's a good point." Lemo nodded. But then he asked, "But how do you know if that would work better than their radio?"

Cheelai looked to him before really thinking about it. She sighed as she knew that he might have had a point. The group continued to walk beside the river and looked to their left as they saw birds sitting on pieces of wood and calling. They took off when the pieces of wood started to move. Everyone gasped as something started to rise up out of the water, and while James, Weaver, Slivko, Brooks and San all gasped and turned to the creature, Broly, Lemo and Cheelai stayed calm. The creature looked as if to be some huge species of buffalo. The giant buffalo waded through the water towards the group. Slivko aimed the gun and feared that this creature would be like the giant ape. It snorted a puff of air as it kept coming. Conrad then warned, "Nobody move."

The buffalo bellowed while taking a look at the group. Conrad tried to keep the group calm by saying, "Easy."

Slivko was prepared to open fire on the creature when Broly calmly walked over and pushed the barrel to the ground. Everyone looked to him as Broly walked closer to the approaching animal. The group was amazed as Broly reached a hand out and the buffalo leaned its head closer. It took in Broly's scent before the Saiyan took a step forward. Weaver raised her camera and took a picture right as Broly touched the buffalo's nose. The buffalo then retreated and turned away from the group.

Conrad shook his head with a smile while everyone else just smiled. Broly's smile faded as he remembered the last time he was friends with a gigantic beasts.

\_|_/

(Flashback)

A younger Broly woke up early one morning and looked about. The young Saiyan was still a little sore from the previous day's training, but he knew that he would soon get over it. He could hear his father's breathing as the older Saiyan still slept. Then with a smile, Broly quietly made his way out of the cave where he and his father were hiding out. Once he was far enough from the cave, Broly ran to see his oldest friend besides his father.

He soon came upon a pit where a tail and mound with ears stuck out. Carefully looking around to see if any of the bug creatures were about, Broly found himself and his friend alone before looking down into the pit and uttered a single word, "Bah."

The sound of his friend's name seemed to reach the creatures ears before the mound rose up. The feline like head quickly rose up to its full height and looked down to the young Saiyan. It took a deep breath before letting out a roar that sounded like what Broly called him. Broly's smile didn't falter as the creature looked down at him and gave the young child a toothy grin.

Broly gave a small laugh as he jumped up into the air and flew at Bah. The giant creature playfully tried to chomp down on the Saiyan, but Broly moved too fast and moved out of the way just as Bah's jaws came together. Broly laughed again as he continued to avoid Bah's teeth, unaware that someone was watching from a distance.

(Cue Memories of Bah track from DBS Broly)

Broly soon landed on the ground at the edge and turned to look at Bah. Then with a slow motion, the young Saiyan reached his hand out. Bah then lowered his head as a way to show their friendship. But before they got too close to each other, a voice called out from behind the young Saiyan, "Broly!"

Broly stiffened as he recognized the sound of his father's voice. He quickly turned around to see his father standing there with his arms crossed. Paragus looked truly angry as he then questioned, "So this is where you've been going most mornings, is it?"

"I was just-" Broly tried to explain and took a few steps towards his father. But Paragus cut him off by shouting, "Just what?!"

"I was training." Broly said, not knowing why his father was so upset. He glanced back when Bah bellowed and had a look that Broly could feel was confusion as well.

"I saw what you were doing." Paragus said with an angry stare. He moved over to them and pushed Broly away from the pit. Broly grunted as he fell onto his hands and knees. The young Saiyan looked back to see his father still angry as the older Saiyan then said, "You were playing with this beast."

"But he's my friend." Broly stated. Paragus shook his head and said, "Broly, you've got to learn what it means to be a warrior. And you can't spend your time playing with dumb beasts!"

"He's not a dumb beast! He's my best friend!" Broly argued. Paragus' glare deepened as he let his anger get the best of him. Removing the laser gun from his side, Paragus looked to Broly as he declared, "Well from now on, this friendship of yours is over."

Before Broly could question what was going on, Paragus took aim at Bah and glared as he pulled the trigger. A beam of energy blasted at Bah and severed his left ear from his head. Bah roared in pain and anger while Broly looked on with shock and horror. Bah looked to the two Saiyans with a glare before lunging at them with his jaws wide open. Both Broly and Paragus jumped out of the way right when Bah's jaws crashed down.

Broly felt sad as he remembered that day and looked down to the hand he touched the buffalo with. He almost didn't hear Cheelai call out, "Hey, Broly!"

He gasped before looking back to her. She ran over to him and said, "Come on, we gotta keep moving."

"Okay." Broly said as he looked back to the leaving buffalo. Cheelai looked to her friend before looking at the buffalo. Looking back to Broly she asked, "What were you thinking about?"

Broly didn't say anything, and his only clue was him gripping the fur around his waist. Cheelai looked to the fur and remembered the story Broly once told her and Lemo. She began to put the pieces together and figured that he was remembering his past. Taking Broly's hand with her own, she gently led him away from the river. Broly took one last look at the buffalo before turning his head away and rejoining with the others.

Author's Note: I decided to end the chapter here because in the next chapter I'll more than likely be introducing a familiar face. Plus, I want to also go into another's past as well. Hopefully I'll get there soon. I look forward to reading your reviews. Be sure to leave a comment either about if I've done something wrong or if you want something specifically to happen. See you next time.
