Warning for adult language!"Hi grandma!" Axelia said as she walked into the house, not surprised to see Cora sitting on the floor, watching her grandmother knit a blanket. "I'd like you to meet Steve and Bucky."
"Shush child, I was just telling Cora about the cookies I just took out of the oven.
"Did you save the cookie dough?"
"Yes,"Axelia ran out into the kitchen "But Scott already took it."
She ran out the front door, yelling at her cousin, "Scott!!! You better give me some goddamn cookie dough!"
"Do you want me to puke it up?" They could hear him yell back.
Cora smiled at Axelia's grandmother, "Anyway, Gramma, this is Steve and Bucky, they came with us to get Mags."
Bucky smiled at them, "Nice to meet you ma'am," then hit Steve's arm, bringing him back into the present moment.
"Oh, hello ma'am, you have such a nice home here."
She smiled at them, "Thank you. What's on your mind?" The question was clearly directed towards Steve.
He sighed and sat next to Cora, "Are you some kind of mind reader?" Bucky shrugged and sat on the other side of Cora.
Axelia's grandmother laughed, "I practically raised Axelia, she always has the same expression when she's angry, which is the exact face you're making. Now, what's the trouble?"
"Well-"
Axelia burst through the door, there was hay all over her, her hair was a mess and she was panting. "HE CHUCKED ME IN A HAY BALE AND ROLLE- ooo is it story time?"
Axelia ran over to them and sat next to Steve, he ruffled her hair, as if it wasn't a mess enough already, and continued talking, "The girls were telling me about someone named Felber, I assume that's his last name? Anyway, it upset me, all of the things he would do to Axelia."
Axelia's eyes widened slightly as she made eye contact with her grandmother. Her grandmother raised an eyebrow, "What did she say he did?"
Cora stood and sneaked out to the kitchen, deciding it was a good time to escape. Axelia curled into Steve's side, trying to hide like a small puppy, "Well, she told me that he would flirt with her, more than she would have liked as far as I can tell. And that he would touch her and try to make her hug or kiss him."
He ignored the intense glare Axelia's grandmother was giving her and continued, "She says that he never touched her above the thigh, but I still think that's uncalled for. Wouldn't you agree with me, ma'am?"
Her grandmother nodded and looked at Axelia who tried to curl further into Steve's side, "I do agree. Now, my dear, why didn't you tell anyone?"
"Because I thought I could handle it?"
"And did you?"
"I mean I punched him twice."
"And did he stop after that?"
Axelia thought for a moment. "Sometimes."
Her grandmother nodded, "I see. Does he still do it?"
Axelia frowned, "He tried a few weeks ago before we got picked up by Tony, but recently I haven't seen him."
Cora sat back down next to Bucky, a few cookies in hand. Bucky looked at her, "Did you bring me one?"
She looked at him, confused, "A cookie?" He nodded, "No, go get your own cookie, these are mine."
He shrugged as she put another one in her mouth, letting it hang there since it was so big, "Fine." he toke a bite out of the one hanging from her mouth, then looked at Axelia's grandmother, "These are seriously the best cookies I've ever had."
Axelia laughed, "She makes them with love."
Cora's face turned dark red, "Did you…just……JAMES BUCHANAN BARNES."
Axelia's grandmother smiled at them, "You guys are so cute together."
"I…Gramma…we're not…we're not a thing."
"They're totally dating, one hundred percent. Don't let them fool you."
Her face turned a darker shade of red, "No! I don't like him!" he pouted like a puppy, "…not like that…"
"That's a big fat lie. I've seen the way you look at him."
"I…but…but I don't look at him!"
"See, you do. And when you do, you basically make googly eyes at him. There are hearts in you-"
Steve put a hand over her mouth, "Can we go see this Felber kid?"
Axelia's grandmother sat the blanket on the table next to her and stood, "Not until I give you each a plate of cookies. God knows Axelia and Cora wouldn't leave without them."
Axelia launched herself off the floor, running into the kitchen, "Cookies!"
