Part 2: Izuku's Story
A green-haired hero rushes through the halls as fast as he can, he'd move at speeds unimaginable for a normal person just to get to where he needed to. He wasn't going to let society down as the number one; it was his duty to excel and save all that he could.
There was a sudden call about an assault towards a nearby hero's agency. His wife's agency. His wife, Kyouka Midoriya was a pro hero much like himself and as such the two of them risked their lives like crazy to save people. She was a strong woman, and Izuku was prideful in the fact that she could handle herself.
But now she was supposedly in danger and Izuku had dropped everything to be here. He rushed through the halls of the building trying to spot his wife, going through room after room. The woman that had stayed by his side all through the years, even as he fell into a coma after being severely injured at the hands of Tomura Shigaraki; he had to save her.
He wasn't going to lose her, not after they sealed their vows so recently. He wasn't going to let her fall victim to the hands of villains. He wouldn't lose her, he couldn't lose her. He loved her.
The report had unfortunately stated that Himiko Toga, an affiliate of Tomura Shigaraki, had popped up and was on the loose, and if there was anything that Izuku knew she hated more than heroes… It was his wife. The woman's yandere-like crush on Izuku was well-known, and although it made Izuku extremely uncomfortable, he was the one that had to take her down.
Izuku continued to dash through the halls breaking through walls and doors as he saw fit. He knew the route to take as he had been here many times, he had one clear goal. Save the woman he loved.
"KYOUKA! I'M ON MY WAY!"
Izuku stood waiting at the altar for his wife-to-be. They had been through so much over the years, but it seemed that now was the time that they would finally seal the deal and get married. Izuku's mother was with Kyouka and the bridesmaids, they were all getting her ready for the wedding physically, and mentally.
Izuku couldn't believe after all this time that they would actually be wed. The man was simply ecstatic and couldn't be smiling wider, although his heart would be beating out of his chest. How could he not be nervous?
Suddenly Izuku felt someone nudge him and he quickly whipped around to see his best man, Tenya Iida. "You're happy, aren't you? Just be sure to keep yourself composed, Midoriya-kun. You're shaking."
Izuku peered down at his legs to notice that he was, in fact, shaking like crazy. The greenette took a deep breath and turned to face the reception of their wedding. He was surprised to see his homeroom teacher had actually showed up, that and… His father. Hisashi Midoriya smiled at Izuku as he watched his son becoming a man. He couldn't be happier for him.
Izuku took another deep breath and held his hands in front of him as his danger sense went haywire, and the doors to the church opened. The wedding march began to play and Izuku's heart stopped. His wife soon began her walk up to the altar, and Izuku swore that if his heart was beating he'd die of blood loss due to a nosebleed.
She looked gorgeous. Izuku couldn't find the words to describe her, she looked like an angel had walked the earth and graced him with her presence. Against her better judgement, Kyouka was adorned in a white mermaid dress, with a green floral hairpin in her short length hair.
"Iida, I don't think I can keep it together." Izuku whispers, leaning over to the bluenette beside him as he watched his wife-to-be with a huge blush on his face. Iida chuckled and patted Izuku on the back, his fiance finally reaching him and he quickly turned to face her.
"Kyo…" He mumbled to himself as the room began to go quiet. The preacher stood beside the two of them as they grasped each other's hands, with Kyouka's father crying in the background. The groom sighed in bliss as he stared at his wife's sparkling eyes and beautiful face.
Kyouka and Izuku admired one another with their hands intertwined. They had completely space out, ignoring everything around them but each other. Izuku smiled and locked eyes with his soon-to-be-wife, the urge to kiss her right then and there boomed through his mind and heart. Kyouka felt the same, she wanted to hug the boy with all of her might and pepper him with so many kisses that her lipstick would be completely smeared off by the time she was done.
The beginning half of the ceremony was drowned out by the couple, only returning to reality when the two exchanged their wedding rings. Soon the pastor looked between the two and smiled.
"Izuku Midoriya, your vows." The preacher spoke, knocking the man out of his trance. Izuku nodded and pulled a piece of paper out of his blazer pocket. The man's hands shook with the paper as he took a deep breath, trying to calm his heart.
"Kyouka…" Izuku started as he stared at the paper in his hands. His eyes then shifted to Kyouka's onyx eyes and he realized the futility of using a written speech. It didn't feel the same as when he said things to her from the heart. Izuku crumpled the paper right then and there, shocking the whole crowd. "I don't need this. You are the greatest thing to happen to me, and the fact that you've stuck by me for so long just proves how strong you are. You have my word that no matter what, I will love you through everything just like you have me. I've found that my lucky streak began with you, and I hope that it will never end so long as I'm with you. You give me all the strength my quirk could never, and I just want you to know… I love you. I wouldn't share my life with anyone else."
Kyouka's eyes shimmered with fresh tears, trying her hardest to blink them away so as to not ruin the makeup she wore. A few people in the crowd cooed in approval, most notably Mina Ashido. The woman smiled at her future husband shakily as she tried her hardest not to cry.
"W-Why'd you have to do that to me, Izuku…" The woman jokingly complained as she was handed a handkerchief to wipe her eyes. The man chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck nervously, although he caused the woman to cry, it was worth getting his feelings across to her.
"That was very touching…" The pastor said as he turned to Kyouka, "And your vows, ?"
Kyouka blushed at the use of her new surname. She really was a Midoriya now, but she couldn't be happier about the fact. The woman smiled as she pulled out her own written vows, albeit a bit begrudgingly at the display of her husband-to-be's vows.
"Well, I couldn't really do this without preparing something… But, Izuku you've made me strive to be more like myself. You've made me learn to embrace who I am, and be damn proud of it." Kyouka stated, smiling at the man in front of her. The man she loved, and the man she'd spend the rest of her life with. "And you've loved every part of it every step of the way. I couldn't be more grateful to you, just for being as loving as you've been. I vow to always stay by your side and do what you've done for me… Make sure you stay true to yourself. I love you, Izuku. I really do."
"Very lovely vows, you two." The pastor stated, before turning to the crowd. The couple intertwined their hands once more, staring lovingly into each other's eyes. "Now… Do any of you object to the marriage of these two souls? If you do, speak now or forever hold your peace."
The room went quiet, then Bakugou opted to speak and speed this whole thing up. "No one objects, just get on with it old man."
The pastor glared at the ash blonde and cleared his throats as a means to move on. "Right… Well then, do you, Izuku Midoriya, take Kyouka Jirou to be your lawfully wedded wife? To love and to hold, till death do you part?"
"I do." Izuku said, giving Kyouka's hands a light squeeze. The pastor smiled at the man's immediate response; he was confident that this was the woman he wanted in his life for as long as possible.
"And do you, Kyouka Jirou, take Izuku Midoriya to be your lawfully wedded husband? To love and to hold, till death do you part?" He questioned, turning to the woman. The purplette smiled at her husband and prematurely nodded a bit frantically", causing the crowd to chuckle at her lack of words.
"Ah, sorry! I do!"
A wall was caved in as Izuku kicked his way through; nothing would stop him from getting to his wife. The man leapt his way through another hallway before breaking down another door.
Toga was in this building somewhere, hunting down his wife. He had no time to care about the damages that he would have to pay for; his wife's safety was more important than the money and insurance.
Izuku's ring under his glove was beginning to leave an indent in his finger the more he smashed through walls and doors, but he didn't care. She was his everything, and the memories they shared healed the aching loneliness in his heart as he sat alone in that Coma for so long. Her words of comfort, and when he finally awoke. He wouldn't let himself lose her again.
'Wait for me, Kyouka. I'll find you in one of these rooms eventually…' He thought, having flashbacks of the moments he woke from his 8 month long coma. How Kyouka stayed by his side through it all, always being so thoughtful and knowing that he'd make it out of the coma alive.
'I'll make sure of it… I'm on my way, stay strong Kyo!'
"Hi Kyouka... Thanks for the flowers…" Izuku thanked, his voice strained and raspy as he hadn't spoken for quite a long time. It seemed as if he couldn't speak at all.
His fiance's legs caved in and she dropped to her knees. Her tears seemed to unload like a flooded dam, her fiance had finally awoken from his coma almost as if he had returned from the brink of death. Izuku was awake and smiling at her like he once had before the incident.
"I-Izuku…" She called as she attempted to hold back her sobs, to no avail. Soon a nurse entered the room to see the man awake, and her jaw dropped. The man shifted to be sitting off the side of his bed as he turned to face them, signalling Kyouka to make her way to him with his hand.
Kyouka nodded and made her way over, instantly wrapping her arms around her fiance. Even if it wasn't good for him to be up like this, or be embraced, Kyouka found it hard to not smother the man with everything that she had missed out on.
"Izuku..!" She called again, her voice muffled by the man's chest. Izuku hummed in response and rubbed her back as the nurse made her way over to check the man's vitals and removed the IV from his arm. She smiled at the heartfelt scene, but they needed to separate so that she could finish her check up on the man and fill out more paperwork.
"One sec… Second. Let her h-have this…" Izuku croaked, clutching onto his fiance with what little strength he had left after so many months without much motion. "It's been awhile… Kyouka…"
"D-Don't say that you… You… Fucking brocoli brain…" She insulted, crying as her heart ached with the awakening of her fiance. He was finally here; he was finally okay. "I missed you… So, so much…"
"I know… I heard you." Izuku stated, coughing as his throat felt like it was going to give out. The nurse then decided now was the time to speak up.
"A-Ah, , we need to see to him now. You're going to have to leave the room for a short while." She informed, causing the purplette to look down in disappointment. She nodded and released her fiance with a sniffle, much to both of their dismay. "I-I'm sorry, ma'am. We'll make sure to work quickly for you."
Kyouka turned to leave the room, passing by the nurse as she did so, but the hoarse voice of her husband called out to her suddenly. "Wait…"
Kyouka froze and turned to face her husband, seeing that his face was pained yet he had such a wide smile. He was happy to see her, happy that she never gave up on him no matter what.
"Thank you… I-I'll get better soon... For you."
Izuku had reached the doors to Kyouka's main office. He lifted his leg to kick it down, but suddenly heard the voice of his wife. He lowered his leg and listened in on the conversation with an ever-present scowl.
"I-Izuku will take you down and you know that, you crazy bitch." She stated, most likely referring to the blonde bun girl who had tormented Izuku for years to come. Himiko Toga.
"That's what I count on, homewrecker." The harsh voice of Himiko Toga stated, the sound of rope tightening being heard by Izuku. "I want him to break. I want him to see exactly what I'm going to do to your wretched face."
Izuku clenched his fist at those words, and took a deep breath as he prepared himself for the worst. He needed to keep a level head and think of a proper plan. Shigaraki had told him about this kind of thing back when he was in his coma. Them communicating could only be boiled down to one thing:
One For All worked in mysterious ways.
After the incident of Izuku being attacked by Shigaraki, at the All For One's successor's defeat, he spoke to Izuku. The two spoke about the fate that they were granted of being natural enemies, but Shigaraki said one single phrase that stuck with Izuku.
'Toga… She's different from me and you. She won't stop; protect what's precious to you. She may just take it from you… Izuku Midoriya."
And now Izuku was aware of what those words meant. Toga was planning on going for him and Kyouka. But there's one thing Toga didn't count on…
Izuku Midoriya wasn't one to play around when it came to those he cherished.
Toga stood in the room staring at the front door of the office, waiting for Izuku to bust through just so that she could slit the throat of the restrained and bloodied purplette. Kyouka was fading in and out of consciousness but she needed to hold on until Izuku got there. Toga on the other hand had heard him busting through the building, dictating that he should be here by now.
"He's not just going to waltz in here and let you kill me, he's smarter than that." Kyouka spoke up from her bindings. Toga turned and glared at her with her knife. "You're a fool if you think you can beat my husband."
A vein popped up on Toga's forehead as she scowled even harder at the woman. "Shut it, stupid ear-girl."
Kyouka clicked her teeth and shook her head in disapproval before Izuku shot through the window of the building and kicked Toga square in the jaw with his metal soles. "I AM HERE!"
Izuku then activated blackwhip through his feet and shot it straight onto the blonde, binding her as her whipped his leg back to draw her in while simultaneously preparing for another kick. Toga's head whipped up at the last moment of Izuku's 100% Detroit Smash straight to her temple, forcefully knocking the consciousness out of her. The girl was now out cold and Izuku deactivated his quirk as his signature glare pierced through her.
Soon both of them dropped to the ground, with Izuku landing on his feet and glaring harshly at the unconscious woman. "Your first mistake was thinking you could get away with threatening my wife's life."
Kyouka smirked at her husband's entrance, though the sheer pressure he was emanating was seriously something to gawk at. "T-Took you long enough, cabbage patch."
Izuku then strode towards the unconscious woman on the ground, his glare and tone sending shivers through the only eye-witness. Kyouka Midoriya.
"And your second was thinking you stood a chance."
Izuku now sat beside the now freed Kyouka, the two of them sitting with the police and medics after giving their reports of the incident. They watched as Himiko Toga was being taken away in the back of a police car; it seemed as if the couple's trouble with the woman was now over for good.
Kyouka, however, still looked a bit frazzled by everything that had transpired tonight. The rain began to fall in the city, with Kyouka and Izuku sitting there letting it fall on them in their hero costumes. It seemed as though even in the light of the moment, the effects of everything still lingered in her mind. If Izuku knew anything about Kyouka, this defeat was likely causing negative thoughts to stem in her mind. Things such as if she was really strong enough to call herself a hero.
"Hey." Izuku called, causing his wife to turn his way with that blank look on her face. Her eyes showed her frustration in being unable to act, and her hands were balled into fists. Izuku could tell exactly what she was feeling, though it has been some years since he had seen her like this. "Good job holding out for so long. If it weren't for you evacuating your sidekicks they would've fallen victim to Toga."
Kyouka nodded with a hum, a small smile gracing her face at the compliment from her husband. Izuku pouted and moved his face closer to hers, causing her to flinch and blush. "That small smile is all I get? C'mon, Kyo. Don't be like that, you already know what I'm going to say."
Kyouka rolled her eyes and smiled, "Yeah, yeah. I'm a hero, and sometimes we need saving… But seriously, I don't know how you do it! How you're able to do it all!"
Izuku shook his head and laid a kiss atop his wife's head, using blackwhip to quickly grab a single rose from a bouquet from a store nearby. "That's easy. You should know the answer to that by now."
Izuku handed the rose to her, smiling brightly as she blushed and took the rose from him. Izuku gazed into her eyes with an all intensive seriousness and leaned in close to her once more.
"I think of you."
HA, BET YOU DIDN'T THINK THERE'D BE A PART TWO DID YOU!?
Yeah, well I wasn't really planning on it, but I ended up getting ideas. However, I have to dedicate this chapter to my girlfriend as when I'm posting this it will be her birthday!
She does quite a lot for me just to make sure I'm alright and not overworking myself, and I'm quite thankful for that.
Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy this as it's the final addition to the story and please check out my other stories as they're just as good!
Bye now, stay safe readers.
