xXx
Hermione froze as soon as she heard the shuffling of footsteps right behind her. She sighed, her eyes on the bookshelf in front of her, not bothering to turn around. "Harry, im sorry." She puffed out, she blinked a few times upon no response, and she could practically image Harry standing behind her leaning against the bookshelf, arms crossed, eyebrow arched, that smug look on his face.
"I know it's late." She said, trying not to smile at the realisation that what she was doing was stupid. "I know it's late, I know I should be in bed, but please don't tell Pansy-"
"I think Pansy already knows, Mione." Came a very feminine voice that in no way shape or form could be Harry's. The voice was scarily familiar, and Hermione recognised it instantly.
Hermione turned around, Pansy was the one leaning against the bookshelf with her arms crossed and a smirk on her face. She was wearing some grey sweatpants and a Slytherin sweater. Hermione admired how amazing she looked in the simplistic of clothing. The raven-haired girl was not wearing her signature black lipstick and makeup, but instead her plain face which was just as beautiful. Her hair was a little messy, but Hermione thought Pansy still looked gorgeous either way.
Pansy hated how cute Hermione looked this moment. Her curly hair was framing her face which fashioned wide eyes and a shocked look while her hands were behind her back innocently like a child. Pansy knew what Ron and Harry had told her had not been I lie though; Hermione was still in her school uniform. Pansy tried not to let her eyes linger on Hermione's skirt halfway up her thighs while she tried to remember she was still mad at her, despite the cute expression on her face.
"What- how-" Hermione questioned.
"I'm afraid dear Weasley and Potter have snitched on you." Pansy said, her smirk now turning into a concerned smile. "Mione, darling, it's far too late to be out here studying." Pansy said.
Hermione sighed, "I was not studying! I was getting some books quickly for tomorrow." She said quickly.
Pansy could tell she was lying, her eyes flickering to the desk beside Hermione which was currently covered in parchment, books and several quills and ink pots. "So, someone just left all of their belongings here?" Then she spotted Hermione's book bag, it even had the little green heart pin that Pansy had given her on it. "Pansy, please let me stay! It can't be that late!" Hermione whined.
"It's midnight." Pansy snapped. Hermione cursed under her breath as she looked away; Pansy thought it was rather cute.
"Mione," Pansy began, walking over to Hermione, her arms gripping Hermione's waist and pulling her in. Hermione's hand came to rest on Pansy's shoulders. Pansy looked into her girlfriend's wonderful chocolate brown eyes, "We've talked about this, you're going to be too tired if you stay up all night every night." Pansy said, her hand coming up to affectionately brush a curl behind Hermione's ear, peppering kisses on her cheeks.
Hermione smiled, her eyes meeting green ones, "Fine. But can we please stay for half an hour more? I just need a few more notes, then I'll have finished finding evidence for my paragraphs."
She frowned, "Okay, but then you're coming to my dorm and were taking a bath together." She said, gesturing to Hermione's uniform. "Although I do admire the way you look in school uniform." Pansy said, her smirk returning as she leaned forward and kissed her girlfriend tenderly.
Hermione hummed into the kiss, enjoying the blissful motion. Soon she was swatting Pansy's hands away, "I need to study!"
Pansy pouted but let her go, regardless. She watched as Hermione plopped down in her seat, her curls blowing in the soft breeze coming through one of the windows, her eyes back on her book. Pansy regretted saying she would leave Hermione be for the next half and hour, she was suddenly hungry for attention from her girlfriend now that she was in her presence.
Pansy ventured off to find a chair and placed it beside Hermione's at the study desk. Hermione glanced at her but continued to skid over pages. "So, what are you studying for?" Pansy asked. "Potions." Hermione replied.
"What for? Potions is easy, is it not?" Pansy said, rather confused because she always managed to score an 'O' on every Potions exam. "For you." Hermione added, "Snape doesn't like Gryffindors."
Pansy sighed, "I guess your right. Snape can have his favourites."
"Can? Of course, he does! He hated Harry clearly for the fact that he was James's child." Hermione argued, her tone was not angry, but she did sound stern. Pansy smiled, god your adorable.
"Don't look at me like that." Hermione huffed, Pansy smiled, pressing a soft kiss to Hermione's jaw, "You love it when I look at you like that."
Hermione cursed Pansy for being so flirty and tried not to smile as a blush spread across her face. She changed the subject completely, "Besides, im trying to study, since when have you been into studying?" She reasoned.
"I'm not into studying, but quite frankly im into you. And you like studying, so I'll have to comply." Pansy said, pressing a kiss to Hermione's cheek.
Pansy followed Hermione everywhere she went. If Hermione stood up to get a book from another isle, so did Pansy. If Hermione got up to put a book back that was only a few steps away, so did Pansy.
"You're like a lost puppy, you know, that right?" Hermione smiled. "Well yes, I am quite lost. My girlfriend is right in front of me, but I can't do anything with her because she'd much rather spend time starring at books then starring at me." Pansy snapped.
"That is a lie, we both know it is. Besides, it is only for half an hour, it has already been fifteen minutes." Hermione said, turning to Pansy finally. Pansy tilted her head a little, giving her a soft look.
"You big softie." Hermione hummed before she leant in and pressed her lips against Pansy's. Pansy did not miss the opportunity, she dug one hand into Hermione's curls and placed the other on her girlfriend's thigh. Hermione brought her hands up and around Pansy's neck as they kissed.
It was a sweet moment, but again, it was over all too soon.
Hermione pulled away, "I've got fifteen minutes left, you think you can wait?" She asked, pecking Pansy on the lips again. Pansy sighed, "Why? Surely your pretty much done! And its due in three days!"
"Pansy I-"
"Mione." Pansy groaned into Hermione's ear. Hermione's breath hitched; 9she loved the way her nickname sounded coming from her girlfriend's mouth.
Pansy smirked at the effect it had on her.
"Alright, you have ten minutes here and then were heading back to my dorm. The girls in your dorm wouldn't stop teasing me for weeks that one time I stayed the night." Hermione said. Pansy gave her a nod, "Alright then, pack up." She said, standing to put her chair back where it belonged in the next isle.
When Pansy was back Hermione had already begun stuffing books and quills into her book bag. Pansy leaned forward, kissing Hermione while the curly haired girl was mid-way through fitting everything into her bag. Hermione kissed back nonetheless, Pansy almost broke the kiss in surprise as Hermione dropped her bag completely, letting the books tumble to the floor.
Pansy took Hermione by the waist, pushing her back against the bookshelves, careful not to injure her. Hermione's arms came up to hold the back of Pansy's neck while they kissed. Tongue's fighting for dominance while they kissed. Hermione moaned softly; Pansy broke apart before they went any further.
Hermione whined but Pansy chuckled, "I'm a bad influence on you." Hermione nodded as she hurried to pick up the books that she had dropped rather carelessly. "Sometimes." She added, standing up to meet Pansy face to face again. "But other times you can be sweet and remind me to take care of myself." Hermione said, pecking Pansy's cheek.
Pansy blushed, "Yeah but I'm still a bad influence- "
Hermione smiled sweetly, pulling her girlfriend in, "You keep telling yourself that Pansy. But under that punk e-girl ego you have, you are just a soft as I am." Pansy blushed even harder, "Come on Granger, it's late."
Hermione smirked, taking Pansy's hand. She knew full and well that Pansy only rarely used the name 'granger' for her when she was embarrassed or mad.
They started their walk down the dark corridors, Hermione began raving on about house elves being mistreated and all. Pansy lost interest in what she was saying as the only thing her mind interpreted was how pretty Hermione looked.
Her curls were blowing softly from the wind which blew through the open walls of the castle, occasionally covering her eyes, causing her to habitually brush them aside. Her chocolate eyes were looking at the ground, watching her own feet walk as a child would while her mouth moved without a break, passionately rambling about one thing to another.
And then she was looking at Pansy. And Pansy blinked, "Sorry, what?"
Hermione laughed, "I asked if you agree with me?"
Pansy blinked once more, "Yes, of course. You always know best." She said, turning away, hoping to hide her flustered face. "So, you do agree that you're the softie in this relationship?"
Pansy whipped back around, "What? No! That's always been you!" Hermione began laughing as Pansy ranted angrily on the statement. "That's ridiculous! No one in their right mind would agree with you on that!"
Hermione giggled, "I was only joking! I was talking about the Ministry of Magic!" Pansy clicked her tongue and pulled Hermione in, peppering her face with kisses, "You are awful, you know that, right?" Pansy joked. Hermione rolled her eyes but played along, "Yep. I'm the absolute worst."
Pansy pressed a soft kiss to her girlfriend's lips, "You're the softie. You spend evenings reading, cuddling your cat, and drinking hot chocolate, what kind of sappy romantic does that?"
Hermione grinned cheekily, "Only a sappier romantic would sit and watch them." Pansy huffed, "Let me win this argument, can you?" She asked. Hermione giggled again, making Pansy's heart flip. She kissed her, tongue siding into the brunettes mouth easily. Hermione tasted of coffee, making Pansy suspect that maybe the brunette had snuck to the kitchens while she had been out tonight. Pansy tasted strange but not like much, probably a mix of whatever she had eaten for dinner.
Hermione's muffled gasps came in between kisses, Pansy wanted to continue but she knew they could not here. Besides, she was much too tired now, even Hermione had broken the kiss to yawn. "Let's hurry back, the sound of a bath and bed seems really nice just about now." Pansy nodded in agreement and the two continued walking back, Pansy still mumbling things about how Hermione was the sap and not her, making Hermione laugh.
xXx
After they would both shared a bath, in which Pansy brushed Hermione's curls and they washed each other's hair, Pansy had taken refuge in Hermione's bed. Watching as her brunette girlfriend put aware her things in the draws of the bed-side table.
Both had been relatively quiet in case Lavender or Parvati happened to be light sleepers, which Hermione doubted, but they proceeded to talk quietly just in case.
Pansy yawned, "God Hermione, how can you stay up so late? It is fifteen minutes till one! We need to be up before nine for classes!"
"That's still a fair amount of sleep." Hermione reasoned. Pansy ignored this, "You're going to be tired. Then you are going to get mad because I'll tell you your cute when you're tired. Then you will get even more mad because your cute when you are mad. Then-"
"I get the point." Hermione said. She closed the draws. "I'll go to bed now then."
Pansy watched as Hermione pulled the covers down on her bed and slipped underneath them, into the warmth, pulling them back over herself and Pansy. She shuffled into her girlfriend's open arms and hooked hers underneath Pansy's. Their bodies pressed flush against each other; legs tangled below. Pansy rested her chin on Hermione's shoulder, taking in her hair's sweet scent.
"Hmm you smell nice." She mumbled. Hermione smirked, "Well look who the softie is now."
Pansy sighed, knowing it was true but too tired to argue, "Only for you, love."
Hermione hummed in response before she let her eyes close, wrapped up in Pansy's warmth. She slowly began to drift off. The sound of Pansy breathing beside her ear, the soft strokes of her girlfriend's finger's on her thigh…
"Hermione?"
"Look who the one is keeping me awake now." Hermione smiled jokingly. "Sorry." Pansy mumbled, "You can go back to sleep."
"No, what's wrong?" Hermione asked, looking up to see Pansy blushing. "Can I have a kiss?"
Hermione laughed softly, making Pansy's heart flutter but also making her flush more in embarrassment. "Alright." Hermione smiled.
She leant in softly, their lips met gently, and Pansy's tongue slid under Hermione's, making her hum in response. It was sweet and soft, a minty taste filling each other's mouths from brushing their teeth earlier. It was not if Pansy hoped, though. Hermione began kissing more sloppily, her eyes red and tired.
"Let's just go to sleep." Pansy said, Hermione hummed in agreement and cuddled up to her girlfriend, both falling asleep in each other's arms.
