I do not own Star Wars, this is just a bit of fun!
The story takes place during The Rise of Skywalker. HUGE SPOILER ALERT!
Kylo Ren's lightsaber crackled in the face of the undead Emporer. "What could you, give me?"
A crack of distant lightning lit up Palpatine's pale face. "Everything." He raised his hands. Some of the fingers were burnt and broken, it was a horrid sight to look at. As he raised his hands the ground shook. Through the force he could see a huge fleet of Star Destroyers rise from the ground. All that power, with it he could end the Rebellion and finally take full control over the galaxy and finish what his grandfather started. it was almost too much to take in all at once. "The might of the Final Order will soon be ready. It will be yours, if you do as I ask. Kill the girl, end the Jedi and become what your grandfather Vader could not."
Kylo lowered his crackling blade, looking into the Emporer's dead eyes. "You will rule all the galaxy, as the new Emporer. But beware, things are not what you think."
The comment sparked Kylo's curiosity. "What do you mean?"
"My Granddaughter, Rey, in the year and half since you've seen each other... has given birth to your son."
He stumbled back, unable to hide his surprise. Palpatine was Rey's grandfather and... he had a son. How? He remembered back to their force connections before he'd taken down his old master. The connection when they had touched hands had taken a big turn and he remember the moment of pure bliss, before Skywalker interrupted. The name hissed like acid in his head. "I will do as you ask." He clutched the handle of his lightsaber and determined look in his eye. He would become Emporer, and he will have both Rey and his son by his side.
Rey hovered in the air breathing in and out peacefully. "Be with me, be with me." Leia watched and held her grandson who was sleeping tiredly. He was barely one year old and she was so happy to be here, holding him. She had failed with her son, Ben. She would not fail him. Rey groaned. "They're not with me."
"Patience Rey." Leia warned as Rey came towards them and kissed her son lightly on the head. "How's Han junior?"
She'd named her son after the man who'd been like a father to her. She missed him dearly and she knew Leia did too. "He's been sleeping quietly."
"I'm going to run the training course." Leia put Luke's mended lightsaber in her hand. Rey ran off and Leia walked with her grandson back to the new Rebel Base. "Is Poe, Finn and Chewie back yet?"
"No, not yet." Rose sighed. "I'm beginning to worry."
"I'm sure they're fine, Rose."
The training course had started out well but at one point Rey felt off, eventually when she did destroy the training droid. A tree had fallen on top of BB-8 and once she helped him, she felt a familiar presence. She hadn't seen him since the battle on Crait. "Palpatine wants you dead." Rey glared at him and tried closing off her mind, she wouldn't let him in. She had to protect her son.
"Serving another master are we?"
"No, I have other plans and it includes you. And our son." Rey flinched.
"How-"
"You really thought you could hide it from me. The Emporer knows more than you think."
The Emporer? Rey had only heard one person go back that name and he was dead.
"What's his name?"
"Like I'd tell you." Rey hissed. Kylo walked towards her, his mask had been fixed and was covered in red lines where the pieces had been molded back together.
"I will find out either way. You can't hide him from me Rey. I offered you my hand once, you didn't take it. Why didn't you?"
"You could've killed me, why didn't you?"
"The next time I offer my hand you will take it." Rey tried not to scoff at how sure he sounded. "And we will rule together. You, me and our son."
"We'll see." Although she couldn't see his face she could feel the anger and longing burning inside him. Then he was gone. Rey ran back to the base.
"Rey?" Leia was by her side, still holding young Han.
"I'm fine, I didn't finish the course. I'm just not feeling myself..." She held out her hands and Leia placed the bundle into them. Han had beautiful tan skin like her own, as well as her hazel eyes, but his angular features and soft black hair was from Kylo. "Rey, the Falcon's back."
She traveled as fast as she could with her son in her arm. Han Solo's ship was in flames and Rey's mouth dropped. She'd hoped to give this ship to her son when he was old enough to fly. Poe stumbled out of the ship. "What happened?"
"We got attacked that's what happened."
"What did you do to Han's ship?"
"What did you do to my droid?" BB-8 had rolled up next to the two adults.
Chewie gave a loud groan. "You lightspeed skipped!" Rey shouted and regretted it as Han began to cry. "Oh, great. Thank you so much." She glared at Poe. Finn quickly came to rescue and broke up the fight.
"So is there a spy?" Rey stroked her baby.
"Yes." Finn answered as Poe walked towards the base.
"Palpatine has returned." Poe's words echoed in her head as she prepared to leave in search of one of the map, that would lead the Rebels to Exegol. After much consideration she decided to take Han with her. If the base was attacked she would never forgive herself for leaving him, but there was also a feeling in her gut that told her that she had to take him.
"I still don't understand why you're bringing a baby on board. I'm not a babysitter." Poe grumbled as Chewie played with the giggling infant.
"Don't worry, Chewie's will keep him company, won't you Chewie." The Wookie gave a reassuring growl. "See." Rey smirked and Poe cursed under his breath.
"Let's just go."
"Skywalker's notes said that he tracked the map to the desert of Pasaana. We can try to pick up his trail from there."
Finn sat by the chess table, while Poe and Rey flew the Falcon. Han had fallen asleep as they hit lightspeed. Finn could remember when the secret of Rey's pregnancy was out. He hated Kylo for it, but had always tried to support Rey. And some how he had grown to love the small infant.
"We're here!" Rey called out and Finn walked into the pilot deck. The planet Pasaana grew bigger as they flew closer and closer towards it surface. "That's a big planet." He said.
"Then we have no time to waste."
Rey had used a strong peice of clothe to tie Han to her chest. He was still sleeping as she walked through the busy crowds. It was bad luck the fesitival was on the same day they were tracking the Wayfinder, but it sure was a beautiful sight. Everyone was wearing bright colours and dancing to the music. A group of young aline children watched a puppet show. She smiled, stroking a strand of her son's hair until she felt a tug on her leg.
A small female alien looked up at her and asked her a question in a strange language. C3PO happily translated. "She says her name is Nambi Ghima."
"That's a beautiful name. I'm Rey and this is Han." The alien purred in response and gave her a beaded necklace.
"She said, she would love to know your family name too."
Rey was silent and stroked her sons hand. She had always considered him a Solo, but not herself.
"I don't have a last name. Just Rey." As she finished speaking, the world seemed to go quietly and time seemed to slow. Only she and her son moved normally.
"Is this him?" She turned around, both arms around her son. "What's his name?"
Before she had refused to tell him, know she changed her mind. "His name is Han." She smiled at the pain radiating off him and she continued to harden the blow. "I see through the cracks in your mask, you're haunted. You can't stop seeing what you did to your father."
"You named him Han, to cause me pain?"
"No, I named him after a brave pilot who deserved more than he got!" She spat. Kylo walked toward her and she took a step back, still protectively holding her son. She didn't want him to even get some much of a glance at his son's face. He could feel her intentions and it angered him. "I will find both of you and when I do I will turn you to the dark side." His hand reached out and yanked the necklace from her neck.
Then the connection was gone. Poe and Finn were talking to the locals, trying to see if anyone knew where they could find the Wayfinder. "Guys, we have to go."
"What? Why?" Asked Finn.
"It's Ren, he knows where we are."
Neither boys could figured out how Kylo Ren knew where they were but they didn't question their friend. Rey looked around, their a few Stormtroopers patrolling the festival.
Kylo walked with General Pryde towards the cockpit of his Star Destroyer. Although the General was talking he barely listened, all he could think about was Rey holding that little bundle of cloth that was his child, yet he had still not seen his face. "Sir," a woman from the analyst crew walked towards then, holding the necklace Kylo had snatched from Rey's neck. "Our analyst crew has scanned this, it comes from the Rydian system. Pasaana, Hidden Valley."
"Prepare my ship." Kylo ordered before turning to Pryde. "Alert the local troops and send a division."
"Yes, Supreme Leader."
"We need to go-"
"Freeze!" A Stormtrooper aimed his blaster at the small band, consisting of a pilot, ex-Stormtrooper, a padawan, two droids, a Wookie and a small infant. The Trooper spoke on his intercom. "I've located the Resistance fugitives, send all units to- ah!"
An arrow shot straight through his helmet from behind the group. A man completely covered in clothing, appropriate for desert conditions, stood behind the fallen solider a crossbow in his hand. "Follow me." He ordered through his leather mask that made his voice crackle. He brought them to a huge landship that moved slowly across the sand. "Hurry."
They followed the man inside. "Leia sent me a transmission." He spoke to the driver in a strange language before facing the team again.
"How'd you find us?" Finn asked
The man took off his helmet. "Wookie's stand out in a crowd." Chewbacca gave a happy noise before wrapping his friend in a furry hug. "It's good to see you two old buddy."
"This is General Lando Calrissian-" C-3PO began but Rey cut him off.
"We know who he is three-pee-oh." She smiled.
"It is an honour General." Finn said and Lando gave a welcoming nod.
"And who is this?" He leaned down and looked at Rey's son.
"This is Han." Lando tensed for a second and looked up at Rey before sighing.
"He was a good man. A scoundrel, but a warrior." He chuckled at the last part. The ship shook slightly from rolling across the harsh ground. "General Calrissian, we're looking for Exegol."
He sighed again. "Of course you are." He held out his wrist, on it was a small metal band. He pushed a button and a small hologram appeared. It showed a small triangular device. "Only two were made."
"The Sith Wayfinder." Rey smiled, finally they were on the right path. "Luke Skywalker came here to find one."
"I know, I was with him. Luke and I were trailing and old Jedi hunter, Ochi Bastoon. He was carrying a clue that could lead to a Wayfinder. We followed his ship halfway across the galaxy to here." They all listened intensely. "But when we got here, his ship was abandoned. No clue, no Wayfinder."
"Is Ochi's ship still here?" Rey asked and young Han shifted uncomfortably after having woken up.
"It's out in the desert where he left it."
"We need to get that ship and search it again."
"Agreed." Poe said and suddenly the sound of Tie Fighter's filled the air. "We need to go." Poe said whilst looking outside. They all began to run out but Rey hesitated.
"Come with us, the Resistance could use someone like you."
"My fighting days are long behind me. Now go."
