It was a quiet night at the Azur Lane base. The moon gently reflected off the surface. It was a couple of days since the Red Axis and Azur Lane were once again reunited to combat the Sirens.

But in just a couple of minutes, everything would change.

An object was rapidly descending from the atmosphere. It produced a bright, fiery orange light, but nobody noticed. Most of the ship girls were asleep. Some were eating a late dinner or studying for their academy assignments.

Then, a loud explosion. The object crashed into the bay just offshore. It created a large splash tens of meters high and rough waves.

The alarm sounded as the girls received their rude awakening. The initial thought was that this was a surprise nighttime Siren attack.

"Everyone! Hurry, to your stations!" Enterprise ordered over the PA.

"What do you plan to do, Enterprise?" Belfast asked, standing behind.

Enterprise gave a look that answered the maid's question instantly. Nodding, Belfast followed behind Enterprise as the two exited the HQ building and out to sea.

While sailing, the two were joined by Akagi and Kaga.

"Do you have how many there could be?" Kaga asked.

Enterprise shook her head. "That's why we need to be ready for anything."

The three carriers launched aircraft in order to recon the crash site. Enterprise's Dauntlesses were the first to arrive. As the smoke cleared, she spotted a figure lying unconscious in the water.

"I see someone," she said.

"Who is it?" Akagi asked.

"I don't know."

Akagi's Zeroes zoomed closer. It wasn't a ship girl, or even a girl for that matter.

"It's… a boy," Akagi announced.

The boy was about six and a half feet tall. He had fair skin, a muscular frame, and white hair. It was shaved on the sides and back and was swept towards the front, covering his right eye.

He wore a sleeveless leather bomber jacket, black jeans, an oxygen mask, and a tattered black cape. His right arm bore a tattoo of a black bird, wings unfurled and ready to take to the skies.

But it was his gear that intrigued the girls. It was a rig, but not that of a warship. It consisted of two large metallic black, red and silver wings. Missiles and guns adorned his chest and arms, Attached to his ankles were miniature jet engines. What looked like two railguns were mounted on his back. Speaking of his back, two huge holes were burned into it.

"I don't know who he is, but he's in rough shape. I recommend we take him to the infirmary. Maybe he has useful intel on the Sirens," Belfast suggested.

"He could also be an enemy, aligned with the Sirens," Kaga suspected.

Akagi raised her hand in front of her sister.

"Come now, where's the love in that?" she asked Kaga.

"Let's get him back," Enterprise ordered. The four of them lifted the boy up and carried him back to shore.

The boy awoke early next morning, the sunlight entering his bedside window. After focusing his eyes, he tried to get up, but found himself unable to. Looking down, he noticed his wrists were chained to the sides of his bed.

"My apologies, but we had to take precautions," a voice said.

Looking to his bedside, he noticed Enterprise sitting to his right. Behind her stood the top ships from each faction of Azur Lane. Along with Enterprise were Queen Elizabeth, Illustrious and Prince of Wales of the Royal Navy, Kaga, Akagi and Nagato of the Sakura Empire and Bismarck and Prinz Eugen from Iron Blood.

You're going to answer our questions," the Eagle Union carrier sternly said with an intense glare.

"I don't think I have much of a choice," the boy replied. His glowing red eyes seemed to pierce right through the Gray Ghost.

"Who are you?" she began.

"Call me Raven," he said. "I am a top fighter ace from my homeland."

"How did you get here?"

"I don't…. remember. I just remember escaping from the Sirens in Osea, and then-"

"Wait a second," Bismarck interrupted. "You're saying you aren't from this world?"

Raven shook his head. "I come from a country called Osea, in a world we call 'Strangereal.' Ring a bell?"

The girls all shook their heads.

"And you're saying that the Sirens attacked you back in your country?" Nagato asked.

This time, Raven nodded.

This posed a huge problem to Azur Lane. Were the Sirens capable of interdimensional travel? And if so, who knows what other weapons or how many more soldiers they may have?

Queen Elizabeth walked to the other side of Raven's bed. She tapped his left wing with her staff.

"What an interesting rig. This obviously isn't one of a ship, so what is it?"

"Glad you asked," Raven said. "I assume you are ships with human forms?" he asked the group. They nodded.

"Well, think of me as the same, but instead of a ship, I am a plane."

"That would make sense," Prince of Wales said. "Your wings, jet engines, and variety of aerial weaponry."

Raven nodded. "In Strangereal, the newest fighter aircraft is the 'ADF-11F Raven,' hence my name. I am the third and last to be built; my predecessors were shot down. I was built after my enemy country, Erusea, surrendered and delivered the schematics and data to my home country, Osea. Then, the Sirens attacked."

"What happened?" Akagi asked.

After a moment of uncomfortable silence, Raven exhaled in sadness.

"There was fire. Death. Destruction. United, our forces tried to stop them. We fought bravely. We fought fiercely. But it wasn't enough. Not nearly enough. The lush green lands, the sparkling seas, and the dark blue sky are simply no more." Raven clenched his fists.

"I was still in development at the time, so I never saw combat. When the Sirens attacked my base, I escaped and snuck my way through enemy lines to what appeared to be a portal. I jumped in, but not before being shot in the back. The last thing I remember before blacking out was falling, like a bird that had been shot out of the sky."

"That would explain your injuries," Prinz Eugen noted.

"Now, for the million-dollar question. Will you, Raven, help us defeat the Sirens?" Belfast asked.

Raven's eyes burned red hot.

"Trust me, ladies. Nobody in this world, or any other, hates the Sirens more than I do. You may be in it to protect your world, but they destroyed mine. This is personal. I want them all dead."

Belfast then walked towards Raven. Revealing a key, she unlocked Raven's binds.

"Welcome to Azur Lane," Enterprise said with a smile, extending her hand. Raven smiled back and shook it.
