The girls left Raven's room. Enterprise stopped at the doorframe.

"When you're feeling better, take some time to learn the base. Meet the girls. Maybe relax a little."

"Hell no," Raven proclaimed. "I'm getting back out there and joining the fight."

Enterprise giggled. "I was once like you. Determined. Focused. But very stubborn. You have to learn to take care of yourself, okay?"

The Gray Ghost walked out, leaving Raven alone with his thoughts. He sighed and collapsed into his bed.

"I should be out there fighting, damn it," he said to himself.

After a few minutes, Raven composed himself and left his room. The other girls whispered and stared as he walked by. They knew that a boy was on base, but they didn't know what he looked or what he was like.

Ignoring the attention, Raven first headed to find Vestal. It was a nice sunny day. Perfect for flying. But he couldn't, at least not at this moment. His physical body was healed, but now his rig needed repairs. He headed for the docks. Although Azur Lane didn't have any hangars, it would hopefully suffice.

As he walked, he noticed a group waving to him. It was Javelin, Ayanami, Laffey, Z23 and Unicorn, along with Illustrious.

Raven smiled and waved back. It was nice to see friendly faces around.

He reached the dock, where Vestal was doing logistics with the help of some Manjuu.

"Oh, hi! You're Raven, right? I'll be right with you."

She nodded to the Manjuu, who retrieved a repair kit. Not wanting Vestal to tire herself out while repairing him, Raven flew up by a couple of feet and hovered. At least his engines were intact.

Vestal began her work. "Wow, I've never seen technology like this before. I've seen plenty of work done by humans and Sirens, but this is completely different. I can fix you up, but it'll take me time to learn your rig. And I hate to say this but the only way I can do that is-"

"If I take damage?" Raven finished. Vestal was silent, surprised he knew the answer. "Don't worry, I know. And fortunately for you, you'll be able to get tons of experience. Taking damage was listed in the job description." Raven then winked at the repair ship.

After half an hour, Vestal was finished. She had done splendidly, fixing even the smallest of marks and dents. She even washed and buffed Raven's wings, and provided a new cape.

"Why do you wear that?" she asked. "Are you some kind of superhero?"

Raven gripped the black fabric tightly. "No. This reminds me of the black smoke that enveloped the sky. The smell of burning flesh. The sounds of buildings collapsing and children screaming. This reminds me of my past, and how I cannot let it repeat itself here and now."

Raven stood up and walked away. "Thanks for the repairs."

"Geez, you don't have to be so dark," Vestal said to herself.

Now, it was time for a test.

Looking over, he saw a carrier also docked. It was Enterprise. Perfect.

He hovered and flew atop her flight deck. Enterprise herself stood alone, looking out over the sea, her bald eagle circling above.

Raven approached her from behind.

"Permission for takeoff, ma'am?"

Without turning around, Enterprise nodded.

"Yeah!" Raven exclaimed, running towards the middle of the deck.

He inhaled and exhaled. This would be the first time he actually flew.

He took off, running down, gaining speed. Just as he took the last step at the edge of the flight deck he jumped, soaring into the air. Snapping his fingers, he was enveloped by a blinding red aura. When it emerged, his true form was shown.

A large, twin-engine, tailless aircraft, twice as large as any of the Azur Lane planes. Sleek and smooth, a stealthy profile, with tips and edges as sharp as daggers. Adorned in black, silver and streaks of red, this was Raven's true form.

He rocketed straight up, so quickly that Enterprise's eyes could barely keep up. The sonic boom caught the attention of every girl on base. They gathered to see Raven performing an airshow over the fleet and island.

Enterprise was impressed by Raven's performance. Then she heard Yorktown call out to her.

"Sister, we have Sirens incoming. No ships, just aircraft."

"How many?"

"Twelve."

"Leave it to me," Raven chimed in. He seemed to stop on a molecule of air and reversed in the other direction towards the Siren threat.

"12 to 1? Sounds unfair. Not for me, but for the poor clowns that in front," Raven said with side of cockiness.

In a few seconds, 12 aircraft appeared on the horizon. They were growing bigger by the second.

"Hmm, so many weapons, which to use? Oh, I know! How about the ADMM?"

The ADMM, or All-Directional Multipurpose Missile, was a weapon system that could simultaneously lock onto twelve individual targets. Just enough to take the Sirens down.

"Locked on, uncaged, and… fire!"

Twelve missiles left Raven and screamed towards the formation. Before they had the chance to react, twelve explosions lit the sky up.

Everyone back on base was awe-struck. It was silent for at least a minute as everyone took in what happened. Never has any Azur Lane ship been able to accomplish such a feat.

Raven landed back on Enterprise and reverted to his human form. He yawned and stretched his arms and wings. By this point Hornet joined her older sister. Enterprise was amazed while Hornet was in complete shock, her eyes wide and her mouth hanging open.

Raven placed a hand on Hornet's shoulder as he walked by her. "Remember to pick your jaw up, or you might just trip over it."

Using his wings, Raven flew back to shore.
