Katy's head was spinning and spinning. She had lost all sense of balance and landed with a thud. Safe to say that apparating was not the best mode of transport for an unsuspecting muggle. When she had got her equilibrium back, Katy glanced around her new home. It was a quaint apartment; two burgundy armchairs and a brown leather couch along with a coffee table sat in what she could only assume as the living area. Katy and Louise both wandered through the apartment taking no heed of the twins' offer to show them around. The kitchen was small but homely and brightly painted. The girls looked at each other; they both knew what the next room to investigate was.

"Ready?" Louise whispered.

"No…but we don't have a choice here now do we?" Katy replied. With that the two girls headed off in search of their new bedrooms. They rounded the corners to find Fred and George standing outside two doors respectively. Louise instinctively made her way towards George while Katy meekly walked towards Fred.

"Welcome to my humble abode…the place where all the real magic happens" Fred winked at Katy suggestively. She nervously smiled back and reached for the door handle. A million thoughts were running through her mind at that minute. What kind of bedroom would Fred have? Something bright and cheery? Dark and gloomy? Childish? Stuffy? Katy's stomach twisted and turned as she opened the door; already thinking of redecorating the room.

"Oh!" Katy exclaimed. The bedroom was definitely not what she envisioned. The walls were painted a warm beige colour and there was a king size bed sitting in the centre of the room. The whole thing was rather tastefully decorated and Katy could only look at Fred in evident surprise. "Did you do all this Fred? The decorating I mean. It's rather…lovely. Warm. I love it!" Katy asked.

Fred scratched his head nervously and the tip of his ears turned pink. In the background Katy could faintly hear George chuckle at Fred's evident embarrassment.

"Ehm yes. I did. Decorate I mean. Well mum helped me a lot. Most of this was her idea really" Fred babbled nervously. Just then George decided to chime in; in the hopes of further embarrassing his beloved twin, "He's lying to you love. Mum had absolutely nothing to do with this. It was all ickle Freddykins' idea"

"I knew it!" Katy and Louise burst out simultaneously laughing. The twins looked between them incredulously. Katy and Louise had been friends for so long that they quite often spoke in sync. The twins would soon get used to it.

With everything that had happened in the last few hours Katy was glad for this bit of laughter. It made things feel normal for the first time since she was thrown into this crazy world. The people standing in her new bedroom were her family now; and somehow she wasn't too upset about that.

Once the bedroom door shut behind her Katy felt a rush of emotion overcame her. It almost felt as if she were dreaming, that this could not be real. Was she really standing here with her future husband in a different country...a different world?

On autopilot she reached for her suitcase and began to unpack her belongings.

"I cleared out some space for you in the wardrobe...and a few drawers as well" Fred's quiet voice interrupted her daydream.

"Oh thank you Fred, that's very kind of you" She replied timidly.

With a sigh Katy threw herself down on the bed and buried her head in the pillows.

She didn't know what to say to the man! Even aside from the current situation she still wouldn't know what to say to him. She was never that popular amongst men. She had never even had a boyfriend, Katy felt she didn't have the confidence to put herself out there like her friends often did.

Laughter drifted across the hallway into the bedroom. Great, Katy thought, those two are already hitting it off and she was here sitting in awkward silence with her match.

Fred cleared his throat and tried to engage in some sort of conversation with the young muggle for he knew that any minute now an owl from his mother would come through the window demanding to know how the girls were settling in and what the twins had learned about them.

"So...why don't you tell me a bit about yourself then? Your hobbies, family...favourite colour even?"

Katy smiled into the pillow...Fred was trying. He was trying to get to know her. This beautiful handsome chiseled looking man wanted to get to know HER.

Granted they were now stuck with each other for the foreseeable but Katy supposed she had to make the best of what she was given. She had to put on her big girl pants and push down her mixed emotions inside her and make a good first impression. If she screwed this up, the chance at someone actually being there for her...caring for her...maybe even loving her? She would never forgive herself.

"Okay, so I suppose there are a few things that you should know about me…" Katy trailed off, Fred had sat down on the bed beside her, the smell of his cologne was incredibly distracting and put all sorts of thoughts into her head.

"I don't actually have many hobbies, I'm not a very sporty person, no good at art either...music I suppose? I quite like singing. I had piano lessons when I was a child but I'm afraid I can't remember much. My family...well now that is a tricky one. I love them, and I know they love me too, they just can't get their heads around Magic. They want nothing to do with it, and I guess that now includes me too."

Katy was rambling again. She figured it was best to tell Fred about her family's distaste for the Wizarding community now so that there would be no confusion when it came time for the wedding and they weren't there.

"Oh and my favourite colour is blue" Katy looked up into his big blue eyes, much like her own, and smiled. Fred had this aura around him that provided her with great comfort and calm.

"So why don't you tell me a bit about yourself then Fred? Same questions you asked me.." Katy tried her best to show that she too was trying to get to know him and that she wouldn't be some burden to him.

Fred chuckled and thought over his answer carefully, "I really enjoy Quidditch I played the position of beater along with George in school and I -" He stopped mid-sentence when he saw the puzzled look on Katy's face. He was confused over the strange look until he realised that since she is a muggle she has absolutely no idea what Quidditch is! He rolled his eyes internally before launching into a brief description of the sport.

Once Katy seemed satisfied that she understood the sport "It's basically football/baseball on brooms then? Quidditch?" she asked. Fred just sighed and shook his head making a mental note to buy the woman a selection of books on the inner workings of Quidditch and all other things magic in the Wizarding world. She had so much to learn, he thought chuckling to himself.
