A few days later Alphonce and Stewart were excited to go to the park, they were with Jacob. When he was done with Cyborg, it took a bit longer, but now Cyborg was working better. Her memory disk was still fuzzy, but she could remember new memories. When it came to helping Kim out, Jacob and Cyborg suggested they take the boys to a park and maybe later a see a movie.

"That's sweet of you, Jacob. I could really use some time to plan something for when the social worker comes back asking for Alphonce,' she happily replied.

Alphonce and Stewart got ready as they follow them towards a nearby park. They ran pass Jacob and Cyborg as they head towards the jungle gym.

"Alphonce looks so happy to have someone his age to play with and Stewart looks excited to know he has a brother," Jacob pointed out.

"Yes, Alphonce is showing strong signs of joy especially since he usually felt sad and depressed after losing Murdoc," Cyborg answered.

"I know how he feels. Murdoc was my dad too, not like Alphonce's case," Jacob quickly answered back.

"How so? My memory is fuzzy on Murdoc's history," Cyborg asked Jacob.

"Well, I'm adopted. Dad found me alone and he took care of me until the band split a part, but before that there was lots of time Dad was around. Except Kim was hired as the band's intern/housekeeper/cook/nanny, she was dad's excuse to have someone else do the 'parents' job. He was willingly to take me in and adopt me as his son, but he didn't exactly know how to be a father," Jacob told Cyborg.

Jacob recalls more of his time with the band and Murdoc during Phase 2.

*Flashback*

Jacob was small, golden hair six-year-old boy, and he was looking for Murdoc. He kept looking until he reached the parking garage and entered Murdoc's Winnebago. He sees Murdoc passed out on the small broken couch with an empty bottle in his hand.

"I'm the greatest leader in the world. Everyone loves me," Murdoc talked in his sleep.

"Daddy," Jacob checked on him.

"Ladies, please. There's plenty of Murdoc for everyone, take a number," Murdoc snored.

climbed on the couch and jumped on Murdoc. This woke Murdoc up from his dream.

"Ah! What? I didn't pay for the bag of weed, officer," Murdoc spoke frantically.

He looked around to see where he was, only to see Jacob sitting on his stomach smiling and giggling.

"Oh, Jacob, what are you doing here," Murdoc asked.

"I want to play," Jacob answered.

"Wha? What about Noodle? The dweeb and lardbutt? Why don't you play with them?" Murdoc suggested.

"Noodle's busy playing her game and uncles 2D and Russel are out, I want to play with you instead daddy." Jacob told him.

"Where's that intern? What's the point of hiring help, if they're not going to do that? Ugh, this is what I get for hiring work from 'America'." Murdoc groaned.

Murdoc picked Jacob up and set him on his shoulders. They step out of Murdoc's room and went to look for Kim. They found her in the kitchen cleaning the dishes.

"You!" Murdoc spooked her with his loud voice that it nearly shook a tall stack of clean plates down, but luckily Kim handed it from breaking.

"Murdoc, I told you not to sneak up on me like that," she told him.

"Well if memory serves me, I'm the boss and you're just the help who's supposed to be looking after my son," Murdoc answered back.

Kim rolled her eyes, "Look, I'm doing my best with this job you gave me. It's hard to work when every morning you leave a ridiculous list of chores for me to finished. I mean come on, you know how long it takes to clean up dry blood from a wall? Especially since you won't help me buy some cleaning products."

"Blah, blah, blah, that's what a paycheck is for. You buy stuff," Murdoc looked down at her.

Kim scoffed and continued to her chore. Murdoc, still carrying Jacob over his shoulders stood staring at her. She kept her focus on the last plate and starts to stack the dishes into the cupboard.

"Look, if you're going to keep staring at me until I start growing horns out of my head, use this time, and do something with Jacob. You know like a father does for his son," Kim suggested.

"I can do that anytime. I have lots of time, but since it's your job to play nanny, you should keep the boy busy. I got work too you know," Murdoc told her.

"Really, is it working on that new album you've been talking about for how many years, two, three years ago?" She questioned.

Murdoc's face turned red, "Now listen here, Missy. I hired you and I can fire you. I'll send your lazy American butt back where it came from!"

Jacob didn't like that idea. In truth, Murdoc wasn't exactly being father of the year for him either. In fact, the only person that comes close as a parent was Kim followed close second was 2D and Russel. Jacob held onto Murdoc's head until he got bored and yanked Murdoc's hair.

Murdoc winched with pain and tried to lift Jacob off him, but he held on. "Jacob! Get off my hair! Can't you see daddy is busy punishing this stupid girl?!"

"No! If you fired her I'll pulled every hair on your head. I like her and I know you really like her too," Jacob told him.

Murdoc froze as his face turn an embarrassing shade of pink. It was true, Murdoc, in his own twisted way liked Kim, a lot. He took Jacob into the other room and whisper, "Listen here, I was just joking. I wasn't that mean and serious, not cause I think her, she's just hard to work with that's all."

Jacob looked at him, "You're mad just because she didn't want to go out with you. Uncle Russel said you don't even let other guys come to close to her."

Murdoc answered plainly, "Now why would she settle…I mean! Why would that bother me? I can have every woman I want."

"Don't you mean 'any' woman you want," Kim interrupted, standing by them, finished with her chore, "Murdoc, come on. Get Jacob's coat."

"What? Why? What are you planning, woman?" Murdoc leers at her suspiciously.

Kim smiled, "We're going to take Jacob to the park and have a fun day out. Together, like one big happy family."

Murdoc stood back. "What? Like you and me together? Together in public, it might sting my fans seeing me with another woman," he told her.

"Now, who said we were together? It's just a boss supervising his intern who's watching over the boss's son," she answered.

Murdoc's face looked a bit disappointed, but then he turned on his cocky smile and said to her, "You know, they said business shouldn't mix with pleasure. But I guess we'll find that out the hard way. You like doing things the hard way?"

"Might I remind you there's a child hanging on to you," Kim points at Jacob still clinging to Murdoc's hair.

This time Kim reached for Jacob and got him off Murdoc's shoulder. Kim puts Jacob's coat on him and they were heading to towards the door. Murdoc hurried after them, he looked at Kim, he smiled almost happily.

"What's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?" she asks him.

Murdoc looked away almost embarrassed she caught him looking at her. Murdoc stuffed his hands into his pocket and said nothing the entire way towards the park. Jacob smiled as he was happy to have two of his favorite people to spend some time with him. It was rough, but then again Murdoc was always rough with everybody. Kim on the other hand, looked at Murdoc, she wouldn't admit it, but in some way Murdoc was attractive to her, if he didn't always act like a major dick.
