**Flashback continues**

Jacob was at the park playing with his ball that he brought with him, Kim was there kicking the ball back to Jacob. Murdoc on the other hand was sitting on the bench watching them bored. Jacob was just happy to be outside the studio and out having a good time. Kim noticed this happiness glowing from Jacob, but she also noticed Murdoc sitting on his butt bored with nothing to do. She tosses the ball to him, luckily Murdoc caught the ball in time before it hit him.

"Oi! What are you doing to me, woman!?" Murdoc stood up getting ready to fight with Kim again.

"Come on, you look bored. Come on show me if English men are better soccer players then Hispanic girls like me," she told him.

"Oh, you're going to regret saying that. We Brits were born to play 'football'," Murdoc boasted.

Jacob giggled as he was happy to have his foster dad come to play with them. Murdoc joined Jacob's side of the field. He tossed the ball back to Kim waiting at the other end. She bounces the ball around, showing off some skills, that made Murdoc gulped.

"Okay, these two trees behind me are my goal and those two shrubs behind you two are your goal. First one to score three goals in a row, wins," Kim explained.

"Wait, Miss Kim, it's not fair if it's two against one," Jacob points out.

"Don't worry about me Jacob, honey, something tells your father needs all the help he can. Remember Murdoc this time your legs aren't going to be stuck between someone else's. This time you must use them if you want to score," Kim spoke subtlety.

"Please, woman, I know how to score plenty and I'm not talking about 'football'," Murdoc answered back.

Jacob looked at them confused at what they were talking about, but was happy to play with someone. Jacob stood behind to block their goal. Murdoc looked ready to play, but turned away when Kim kicked the ball towards him and he got hit in the side. Murdoc screamed with pain. Kim apologize and gently kicked the ball towards Jacob.

"I'm good! I'm good," Murdoc yelped.

"Um, Jacob why don't you play first and have your father try to block the ball," Kim suggests, but Murdoc refused and insisted he try again.

Back at their places, Kim held back the fancy kicks and just focus on getting the ball pass Jacob without hurting him. Murdoc tried to block Kim or tried to steal the ball he kept falling and crashing when she got pass him. Jacob on the other hand got the ball from Kim and left his post as he hurried to score Kim's goal. Murdoc stay behind covering their goal, but Kim caught up to Jacob and took the ball back. She hurried towards the goal and kicked the ball hard. Murdoc dodged the ball to avoid getting hit again.

"One for me," Kim panted.

"You okay, daddy," Jacob asked Murdoc.

"Oh, um, I'm good. Yup, really good, thought I saw a nugget (about one pound in money slang: which is close to one dollar in US) in the ground. So, I'll handle this son, you can guard the goal," Murdoc told him.

Jacob looked at Kim, they both knew what really happened. Jacob stood by the goal as Murdoc stood out in front trying to get the ball. Kim had it, but this time Murdoc wasn't moving. He had her block, she tried to move out, but Murdoc wasn't playing fair and grabbed her behind. She turns to Murdoc and slapped him, but he just smiled and stole the ball as he kicked it into Kim's goal. Murdoc cheered, but Jacob and Kim just looked at him in disgust.

"Hey, don't hate the player, just hate the game," Murdoc told them as he does his victory dance.

"New rule, you two switch positions so Jacob can have a turn and again, this is 'football', no hands at all, not even for a dirty grab," Kim shouted.

Jacob giggled as he ran towards Kim's goal and got the ball. He told them his new rule, that he can switch teams if each team score a goal. Murdoc pouted as he walked back to his side.

"Jacob, why don't you take the lead and I'll guard the post," Kim suggest.

Jacob happily took the offer and stood out in front of his dad. Kim got ready as she tosses the ball in the air. Murdoc tried to kick it in the air but fail and hit the ground, but Jacob got the ball as he hurried and score a goal.

"Goal!" Jacob yelled.

Kim laughed aloud as Murdoc laid on the ground, Jacob jumped up and down happy he finally scored a goal for his team. After a few minutes, about twenty minutes for Murdoc's case to recover after his epic fail and fall on the ground, and again when it came against Kim, Murdoc played dirty, and whispered, "There's a huge ripped hole in your pants."

Kim turned to check herself, Murdoc laughed that his trick worked, but against Jacob, he had to be careful not to hit him. He kicked the ball over Jacob's head. Jacob couldn't reach the ball and it got pass him. Both teams were even again.

"Yeah and since Jacob suggested he switch team after both each score a goal, he's mine again," Murdoc told them.

Jacob sighed and walked back to Murdoc's side. Kim patted his head and told him not to worry. Murdoc struts after as he was ready to win, but seeing the look on Jacob's face, he ignored it. Kim was against Murdoc again, she was about to toss the ball, but Murdoc grabbed it.

"As the clear victor, I'll do this for a change," Murdoc spoke as he tosses the ball in the air.

He was going to try to do a fancy headbutt, but the ball hit him from the side and Murdoc lost his balance. Kim directed the ball and heads towards the goal where Jacob was standing guard. Jacob, still mad at his father's dirty tricks, moved as Kim scored her final goal.

"Winner! Miss Kim," Jacob cheered.

Kim laughed and picked up Jacob. Murdoc still dizzy from that hit in the head, looked at the blurry images of them laughing and having fun come to focus. He got up and brushes himself off from the dirt. He looked to see the two of them happy together. Murdoc didn't realize how nice it looked to have someone else with him making Jacob smile. As he finished cleaning himself from the dirt, he walks over towards Kim and held out his hand, but wasn't making eye contact.

Kim took him and Murdoc spoke, "Um, good game. I guess. You played good."

Jacob looked at Kim as she spoke back, "Thanks. You weren't bad, not great, not good, but okay to have some fun around."

Murdoc looked at her and tried hard not to blush in front of her. "Um, listen if you're hungry, how about a treat, for Jacob, I mean the boy must be hungry right and dinner is still a long way from getting ready, so how about it?"

Kim looked at Murdoc and answered, "Yeah. How about it Jacob? You want something to eat with daddy."

Jacob giggled and happily shouted, "Yeah!"

**End Flashback**

Back to where Jacob and Cyborg were watching Alphonce and Stewart playing together, Jacob smiled thinking of that memory he shared. Cyborg reached for Jacob's hand, "That's one memory I'll be happy to save."

"It's okay, right now, let's get these kids something to eat, maybe ice cream or some burgers. It'll be late when we get back and if Kim just started making dinner, then the boys won't get hungry while they wait," he suggests.

They gather Alphonce and Stewart as they entered a diner nearby. Alphonce smiled at his big brother as he ordered something for him to eat. Jacob was happy to be there for Alphonce. He knew Murdoc would have been happy to see both his boys getting along so great.

"Hey, Alphonce did I ever tell you the time, your dad and your step-mom spent an entire day playing with me when I was young like you," Jacob told him.

"Really? My daddy played with too? Did he play a lot with you, as a kid?" Alphonce eagerly asked his big brother.

Jacob laughed, "Well more or less, but there was a time when all three of us played a fun game of 'football' or American soccer, and your dad was a total sore loser."

Alphonce smiled, "Sounds like daddy."
