Alphonce kept running from Jacob and the others chasing him, but Alphonce didn't want to hear from them. He kept going as he made a quick turn through the park and ran pass through the playground to be lost in the crowd of kids running and screaming. Parents stop and stare at Alphonce running pass them, sadly their attention turns back to their own kids and no one noticed where Alphonce went.

"Alphonce! Hey, did anyone see a small boy, dark hair?" Jacob stops to ask one of the parents and other visitors at the park. Sadly, none were willingly to help, "Cyborg, you and Stewart stay together and search the playground. I'll go and look around the bathrooms, the baseball field, and the basketball court." Cyborg held onto Stewart as they went to the playgrounds, while Jacob hurried to the restrooms to see if Alphonce ran into there. However, one visitor watched them as he turns his attention towards where the edge of the park ended, and the forests begins.

Alphonce climb over the brick wall that blocked visitors from entering the large forest, but he even as he struggled to get over it, he made it to the top. He looks over to the other side, it was a downhill slope that kept going, through some dead trees and ends into the darkness. Alphonce gasps, took a step back, but stopped in time before he could fall off.

Alphonce breathed heavily, "Other mommy would be better if she didn't have me. My real mommy didn't want me. My other daddy hated me. I'm nothing but trouble, a nobody no one wants or need."

Alphonce moves close the edge, he close his eyes, and took a deep breathe. "You're a long way from the playground little boy," a gruff voice spoke. Alphonce quickly turn to see a shaggy looking stranger staring back at him.

"No one will miss me, everyone in my family is unhappy because of me." Alphonce stared at his feet.

"Now I find that hard to believe. A nice-looking boy like you, I'm sure they care a lot about you and are just busy to tell you that. Now you want to tell me why you look so upset." The shaggy stranger asked walking closer towards the wall where Alphonce still stood.

"I'm not allow to talk to strangers," Alphonce told him.

"Good advice, but seeing that we're the only ones here talking, how about we introduce each other?" The shaggy stranger suggested. "Names, Shamus, I've just arrived here in England." Shamus smiles, extending his hand to the little boy. Alphonce wasn't sure, but he took Shamus' hand and shook it, "I'm Alphonce. Alphonce Niccals." Shamus smiles wider seeing Alphonce as he spoke to the boy, "Nice to meet you Alphonce, how about you climb down from that wall and we talk."

Alphonce wasn't sure, his step-mother had always told and warned him not to talk to strangers, even if they claim they knew her or were friends with her. Alphonce sat on the wall and said, "I'm fine here." He wasn't ready to get off just yet. Shamus shrugged and lean against the wall, "Fine with me kid, when you're ready, I'll be waiting to help you down." He takes a pack of cigarettes from his coat pocket, stuck one in his mouth and light it. He took in a deep breath and exhales the smoke.

He didn't know much about this stranger, but Alphonce kept watching Shamus smoking his cigarette, taking it out of his mouth and plays with it through his fingers before he drops it and stomps the stub out. Then he starts a new and repeats the pattern. Shamus looked at Alphonce and then look away watching if anyone else was looking for the boy. "So, you came here alone? This isn't a friendly park you know, especially way out here where no one could see you talking with some strange man, but don't worry I'm not going to try anything." Shamus lit another stick. "So, why are you out here?"

"My step-mommy is having trouble. My other family is too busy to help because they're busy with work and bills," Alphonce looked down.

"Really? Did she say or um, did anyone of them said they were having trouble? I mean it can't be that bad." Shamus asked Alphonce.

"No, but it isn't good. My other father Gregory made a mess when he was living with us before I knew I had another mother and ruined everything. Gregory was my real mother's new husband, she couldn't take care of me and left me with him and he moved into our flat. He only sat in front of the telly, drink and eat everything leaving scraps for my uncles and aunt to eat. But they were too tired cause they needed money and had to work long hours and didn't had free time to check on me. Gregory even took me to several bars and made me dance in front of those mean drunks to earn some coins for beer, he said, 'it's time I turn into something useless because the only thing I'm good at was being a nuisance.' He's right. I'm nothing but trouble." Alphonce held his body together, "Whenever anyone in my family tried to stop him, he just took it out on me."

Shamus looked at Alphonce huddled together sitting at the edge, staring into nothing remembering his life living with Gregory, hiding in his father's room hoping he wouldn't be found. When he hears his horrible step-father leaves, Alphonce would lock the bedroom door, climb into his father's bed, and cries himself to sleep. Every night was almost the same, Alphonce living in constant fear of Gregory's abuse, going to bed hungry, and staying up pass his bedtime for the other members of Gorillaz to return. Alphonce breaks free from his thoughts and looks back at Shamus smoking. From the side Alphonce remembers his father, Murdoc, he always stares into space whenever he smoked. Shamus notices Alphonce staring at him.

"What? What are you looking at?" He asked the curious boy looking at him.

"Do you always smoke, like that," Alphonce questions him back. "He even used that same brand." He points to the pack Shamus had in his pocket.

Shamus stubs out his latest stick and hides his pack deeper into his coat. "Really? I guess he knows a good stick of tobacco. I mean if your old man was great and your step-dad was a pile of crap, then why aren't you with him," Shamus suggested.

Alphonce's eyes turn back to the ground and sadly answers, "He's dead. He was gone when I was younger, but I still remember everything about my real daddy."

Shamus looked at Alphonce. He looked down at his watch, it was getting late, and he knew that the others looking for Alphonce would be coming their way. He told Alphonce, "You know I might not know your dad, but I doubt he would be happy to know his only son ran off from into some dangerous park. I'm sure someone is looking for you. Especially if you end up disappearing into those woods, they would heartbroken like you after you lost your daddy. You wouldn't want them to feel that bad."

It was close to sunset. Jacob and the others still couldn't find Alphonce. They were worry they have lost him for good. Stewart was getting upset about missing Alphonce. "Is Alphonce gone? He can't be gone." He cried.

"It's going to be okay Stewart, listen you and Cyborg head back to the flat. I'm going to stay here and keep searching for Alphonce. I won't give up and I won't come back until he's with me." Jacob spoke to the frighten blue-hair boy, but part of Jacob felt uneasy. He wasn't sure if Alphonce was still in the park or haven't wander too far into the forest. Cyborg place her hand on Jacob's shoulder, "We know you'll find him. I'll drop off Stewart and come back to help you."

Jacob sighed, "Thanks, but it might be too late if I wait for your return. Trust me I'll be okay."

He looks to the direction where the forest was, but stood and watch to see two figures walking towards them. One was a familiar shape, smiling and giggling as he held onto the other figure's hand. The smaller figure was happily talking to the taller figure, Jacob couldn't believe it as they came closer. Stewart was the first to know who is was, "Alphonce! He's okay!"

Alphonce stop and look to see his other brother Stewart and ran towards pulling the taller figure closer to the others. Jacob and Cyborg watch the two boys smiling and hugging each other. They were happy to be together again. They look to see the shaggy stranger standing close behind Alphonce. He was avoiding eye-contact with Jacob and Cyborg. He was scratching his beard nervously and tried to keep the collars of his coat up to keep them from getting a clear look at him.

"Brother Alphonce, I was scare we lost you, why did you run away?" Stewart asked Alphonce.

"I'm sorry Brother Stewart, I was scare and thought I could get away, but luckily I met Mr. Shamus to help me down," he told Stewart.

"Well, thank you Mr. Shamus for bringing back Alphonce to us. We're grateful for your kindness. How can we repay you?" Jacob asked him.

"It's okay. I just talked to the boy and he got down okay." Shamus spoke nervously. He cleared his throat a few times.

"Well if we can repay you, it would be no problem," Cyborg explained.

"Really, it's fine. I better get going." Shamus inches his way out from the group, but Alphonce held his hand.

"Please Mr. Shamus, can you stay with us? We have lots of room in our flat." Alphonce pleaded.

"No, no. It's fine. I got a small apartment not far from here." Shamus tries to explain, but he noticed the sad expression on Alphonce's face, he sighs and scratches the back of his head, "Well maybe for the night, if that's not too much trouble with your friends here."

Jacob and Cyborg smiled and said it was all right for Shamus to stay over. Alphonce was very happy. He held into Shamus' hand the whole walk back to the flat. Stewart held Alphonce's other hand, he was happy to have his brother back, and gave a familiar toothy grin like his father 2D. Jacob and Cyborg walked from behind the group. Cyborg held Jacob's hand. He had two reason he was feeling so happy. His young brother Alphonce was back and safe, he was happy to know Cyborg was willingly to stay with Jacob. He looked at Cyborg smiling at the two boys up front, all happy, giggling, and smiling being back together even with Shamus standing between them. Cyborg notice Jacob staring at her, he quickly looks away in embarrassment, she smiled and lean in close to Jacob. She rests her head on his shoulder. Jacob nervously smiled and held her hand lovingly. He never want to let her go.
