"Why did you come?" Han asked Cam from across the holochess table. Cam was keeping is eyes on the moving pieces as he shrugged ever so slightly. "I don't know. Probably because I want to stay for the adventure, you know."

Han switched the game off and walked towards the pilot seat. Outside the star blurred past as they travelled through lightspeed. The second beacon's coordinates had been punched in and they were only a few minutes away.

There was an awkward silence between the two, something neither one of them had ever thought possible.

Finally, Cam spoke up. "I've never seen you react like that. Not in all my years of-"

"Of bulling me?"

"I was going to say 'of training with you'... But yes, I guess so."

Han's shoulders relaxed and he cocked his head, staring at Cam in amused surprise. "Was that an apology?"

"No." Cam's shot back as if he'd just accused him of doing something wrong. "You just surprised me- Your mum's going to kill me when we get back." There was silence again and Han had resumed his tense stance again. "Han?"

Han blinked. It was the time cam had said his name, without any rude comment afterwards. "I don't think I'll go back."

"What?"

"There's nothing waiting for me back at the temples."

"But- but what about Master Rey, your mother?"

"She'll be-"

"Don't you dare say 'she'll be better off without me'." Cam mimicked in a high pitched tone. "Cause she won't!"

"Why do you care what I do? A day ago you would have been overjoyed to see me like this." Han glided towards him.

"I don't know." Cam replied in a hiss. "I guess it just annoys me how ignorant you can be!"

Han's mouth dropped open like a gaping black hole. "Excuse me?" Cam rose slowly to his feet, his face screwed up in anger.

"You heard me. You're so ignorant and clueless it's frustrating!"

Han flicked his hands in the air as he responded. "Oh, I'm sorry if me having no one to turn to is bothering you."

"It is bothering me! Because it's not true! You have plenty of people who love and support you and want to be there for you."

"Like who? No one understands me!"

"Yeah, but at least they want to!" Cam slammed both fists down on the table, making it shake. As he yelled a few things went flying across the ship dangerously. "At least there are people in your life who love you for who you are- no matter what that is! They don't care that your a Jedi, they completely support you and don't instead think of it as a chance to get rid of you because they've always been ashamed of you and-" He broke off at Han's startled expression.

Tears had formed in Cam's eyes and he fell back into his seat. The flying objects dropped to the floor heavily with a series of clatters. A sob escaped his lips and his breathing was uneven and quick.

Han stood awkwardly in front of him. "Cam I- I had no idea."

"Of course you didn't. Because I made your mother promise never to tell anyone." He forced his eyes upwards at Han. "You think no one understands you- no one knows anything about me. The true me."

Han sat down beside him, his hands coming together on his lap. "Do... do you want to talk about it."

"No." He sobbed. "Yes. I do... I- I was eight when Rey found me. I was so excited to become a Jedi but my mother and step-father... they didn't feel the same way. You see... my real dad, was a- Stormtrooper during the First and Final Order. He was there by choice and for that my step-father always hated me. And my mother just followed his lead."

"And that's why you've been so mean to me..."

"I thought I could take my anger out on you and... Han, I'm... I'm. Really. Sorry." The apology came out slowly and Han smiled.

"That was hard for you to do wasn't it?"

"Yes." A breathy laugh actually escaped Cam and Han placed his arm around his shoulder. but suddenly the blonde tense up and gripped Han's arm painfully. "Don't you tell anyone about this or I swear on all the stars in the galaxy, I will make your life a living hell!"

"Alright. Alright." He chuckled. There was beeping from the control panel and Han let out a long breath. "We're here."

"This is all my fault! I should- I should have-" Rey paced back a forth in front of Jido's little home. The Wookie watched her and begun to spoon them both a bowl of soup. "Calm down Rey. Eat and we'll talk." She did but her lips quivered in fear.

"Where have they gone. They don't know the way to Ben-"

"Actually." The Wookie stretched out the word and Rey's head snapped in his direction. "I gave your son the beacon."

"You. Did. What?" The fire illuminated her face and her hands shook, causing a bit of soup to slop over the rim and onto her lap.

"He needs to grow and I think that the best way for him to do that is by letting him see his father." He passed over a cloth for her to wipe the stain the swamp green soup had left on the Jedi Master's robes.

"Don't you understand what you've done. He could be in serious danger if he gets lost or-"

"You trained him well, Rey. I believe in him and you should too." He got up and walked to his home, soon returning with a long roll of parchment. A map. "Take this. I wrote down my beacon's coordinates when i first moved here. But first finish your soup."

The fire crackled in front of them and Rey smiled. "Thank you Jido." She stood up, taking a large sip from her bowl and placing it down slowly.

"Just tell Ben that I said 'hi'."

"I will."

Wherever the two boys were it was cold and lifeless and was located far out in the Unknown Regions of space. The planet was small and had been hard to find, even with the map. Luckily both boys had a gift for flying and working together they'd been able to land the ship safely.

"Does the beacon say where about your father is on the wasteland?" Cam asked over the loud whistling of the wind. Bits of ice clung to the boys faces as they tried peering through the blizzard.

"No. But he's somewhere on this planet. I know he is." Han's hand touched his father's lightsaber. The metal was freezing and he began to wonder if there was a certain cold temperature a lightsaber couldn't handle. His own lightsaber was attached to the other side of his belt. "I can feel him." Han called out though couldn't tell if Cam had heard him.

He took a step forward, trudging through the wet, thick snow. "Han wait!" Cam called out, running after him and raising his hand over his eyes.

Frost nipped at their cheeks like angry flesh eating termites. Time was an illusion in the blizzard. Neither of them knew who long they had been walking for, but after what felt like days of walking they still couldn't find the hidden Jedi.

"Han! I-I think we're lost-t. W-we n-need to head b-back!" Cam stammered from the cold. But Han didn't stop, he just kept walking. The fact that there was still energy left in the young Padawan was shocking, but after a few minutes Cam could see him getting tired. "Han let's go back! There's nothing out here if we don't find warmth soon..."

Han never heard the end of his sentence as suddenly he felt movement in the Force. He didn't fight it. He stopped walking and closed his eyes, trying to find it again, to take hold of it. The feeling was growing bigger and nearer. He was close.

Han spun around in a circle, but couldn't see a thing. The snow blocked nearly all his vision. His father could be standing right next to him and he never would have noticed. "He's c-close Cam! I can feel him!"

"Well I can't see him. Let's just t-try heading b-back and we'll w-wait for the blizzard to s-s-settle."

Cam didn't move any further. Both boys lips were blue and their skin ad gone a deathly white, all colour was gone from their cheeks except the red cause by the flying ice. "I'm n-not leaving you Han, but we can't stay out he-here." Cam saw Han shuffle back and step and he finally thought they were heading back.

But then the persistent sixteen year old took several heavy step forward.

"H-Han!" Cam tried catching up to him, but instead tripped over his own frozen feet. Nonetheless he picked himself up and continued running as fast as he could, which wasn't very fast. He blinked continuously until he reached Han's side. He was just standing there, his eyes wide and mouth open.

"Han? Han? Han!"

He collapsed in front of him. Now they were in trouble. There was no way Cam could pull Han all the way back to the Falcon by himself and he wasn't going to leave him behind- his conscience wouldn't let him. "Han... come wake up. Please Han get up."

That's when a long shadow fell over him.
