Big Note!: I clearly placed in the description to read 'I highly recommend reading Gorillazfan-102's story, "My-Boy" first'. She's the original writer, people. So please please please people don't jump to conclusion of theft. She gave me permission to do a fanfiction using her OC, Alphonce, Gregory, Jacob, Stewart, and so on. The only OC I own is Kim. Everything else such as Gorillaz belong to Damon and Jamie. So please leave Gorillazfan-102 alone, she's innocent and once more is the original writer. This story is an ALTERNATE WORLD of HER story. I loved her story and decided to make this version. She's a good person that loves the band Gorillaz more than me and so please show her some respect. She gave me permission to make this story. So there.

The next morning Alphonce woke up. He got up to see he was back in his bed. He look to see the bass wasn't back in his case as he often left it but was beside him instead. Alphonce knew what this meant and got up.

'I'm in trouble.' He said to himself.

He hurries around his room trying to think what his step-mother was going to say or do to him for staying up so late. He circled around, bit his fingernail, but notice it was the finger he cut himself on his bass and saw a colorful bandage was wrapped around it. He knew only his step-mother carried this kind of bandage in case of emergency. This relives Alphonce, but remembers how scare he would be for getting into trouble with his step-father, Gregory. He would punished Alphonce severely if he broke something or get mad at him for leaving a mess when Alphonce knows it wasn't him, but his step-father that made it. It often scared Alphonce, but not anymore now that things were different. The only time he remembered being scare of his step-mother. It was when Alphonce was bored of his toys and so he wanted to play some games on the computer. He sees his step-mother's laptop on her desk. It was on and opened, which made it easy for Alphonce to use. He saw his step-mother in the kitchen and didn't think she was using it. Alphonce got to the laptop and saw it was already open to a program, the one he saw his step-mother used to draw pretty pictures. He sees her tablet and pen next to it. He picked up his step-mother's special pen and moved it across the tablet. It didn't take too long before Alphonce was caught by his step-mother and she grabs the tablet's pen from him and scolds Alphonce for using it. Alphonce had ruined an important piece of work she was doing for her job. He started to cry and apologized. Luckily she calmed herself and just gave Alphonce a hard warning not to touch things without permission. It surprised Alphonce to know that he wasn't going to get a hard punishment but a simple a warning instead.

Alphonce left his room. He went over to where his step-mother's room was, only to stop to see Shamus leaving her room, and stops to see Alphonce standing at the door. They stood there and stare at each other, neither one saying a word. Shamus looked like he wanted to avoid making eye-contact. Alphonce didn't understand why Shamus didn't want to look at him, but before he could ask him Shamus greeted him first.

'Oh, um Alphonce, good morning. At least I think it's morning. It's still early like maybe 10 or 11 in the morning, but hey you're up already. Well, um your mother got up early and already made breakfast for everyone before they left, but she was still feeling tired and went up to sleep some more. Don't worry she didn't forget you. No, she told me to make something for you and for your brothers. She's fine. She's just a little tired that's all.' Shamus told him.

Shamus was smiling nervously and was embarrassed like he was caught doing something humiliatingly, like picking his nose. Alphonce still didn't understand much except the part he understand that his step-mother was tired. He wondered if she was mad at him for not being asleep or for getting caught sneaking from the basement. Alphonce decide to ask first, 'Is my mommy feeling okay?'

Shamus quickly responds, 'Yes! I mean, yes she is. She's just going to rest for a bit, maybe shower. It'll be a day for us. You and me and maybe Stewart I guess.'

'Is she mad at me?' Alphonce asked next.

The question caught Shamus by surprise, but he soon remember what Alphonce meant. 'Oh, last night, you took us by surprise. I got worry seeing you passed out like that. Don't worry, your mommy's not mad. She was worried why you were so tired and what you were doing explained a lot to her.'

Alphonce smiled, but hid his hands behind. Shamus added, 'And I'm not mad at you for having 'extra' practice. I'll admit you are determine to master that bass.'

Shamus picked up Alphonce. 'Come on, let's get you something to eat before we go out.' Alphonce smiled. 'You like the park right?'

'Yeah, I like that park, but sometimes I like playing games with Stewart,' Alphonce answered.

'Oh? You play game on that old station. Guess nothing beats the classic. So what do you two like to play?' Shamus asked.

'We often, play Katz Wacky Cool Kartz, but we like the fighting games Aunt Noodle let's us play, like Immortalz Mix-Art Fight Challenge.' Alphonce told him.

Shamus stared at Alphonce surprise by his choice of games. 'Um, that's a violent game isn't?'

'Mommy said what we see in television is too dumb now for us to watch and said it's better we just play violent games now to get our minds going fast.' Alphonce explained.

'Wow, your mommy really is trying to be a good parent, but alright as long as you two boys aren't screaming in your sleep or too traumatized then I guess it's fine.' Shamus spoke as they went downstairs to see Stewart was drawing at the kitchen table.

Stewart smiled seeing Alphonce was finally awake, 'Yay! I was close to thinking you were dead or something.'

'No, Stewie. He just needed an extra hour of sleep.' Shamus told him.

He puts Alphonce down as he moves over to the oven and looks around. 'So, what would you like? It's what? A little pass 10:00, but I guess it's right for brunch. That's what those fancy people called 'breakfast and lunch'. So, how about we start with some juice?' He pours two glasses of orange juice for the two boys.

While they drink their juice as Shamus was trying to think what would be an easy thing to make without involving the stove. He wasn't sure what to make that wouldn't just be another bowl of sugary cereal. He looks around but soon stops when he heard fast footsteps coming up from the basement. Someone was screaming with excitement, 'I did it!'

It was Jacob busting out through the door. He was a complete mess and his golden hair was in tangles and sticking out all over, but he didn't care about his appearance and was just really happy about something. He laughed like a mad man, as he was bouncing around, not caring that he was being watched or making so much noise he could heard upstairs. Stewart and Alphonce were scared seeing a crazy looking Jacob screaming in the kitchen. Shamus tried to get close to the excited Jacob, but he stood in place not saying anything. They waited for Jacob to calm down.

'I finally did it! I perfected her! She's still the same but she's better now. I didn't stop, last night I had everything checked and might have slept, but I had set my computer to download everything I needed to fix her!' Jacob laugh excitedly.

Jacob kept talking ignoring that everyone was confuse and was a bit scare to see him acting like mad scientist from Frankenstein. Shamus kept tried again to settle Jacob down. Stewart and Alphonce held onto each other in fright.

'Alright, that's enough now. It's still too early for this craziness.' He grabs Jacob by the shoulders. Jacob stop bouncing and look at Shamus to see he wasn't please with Jacob's sudden joy. He moves Jacob to the table for him to see Stewart and Alphonce were still holding onto each other as Shamus forced Jacob down onto a seat.

'Settle down Dr. Jekyll. How about a cup of tea, nothing caffeinated since it's clear you're very excited without it or perhaps you're just high on something right now.' Shamus eyed Jacob.

'What?' Jacob spoke confused.

Jacob's sleepy eyes looks at Shamus before turning to see the two boys still huddle at the table. He calms down and tries to fix himself. He apologized.

'Sorry, about that. It's just that I'm super excited and I want to show everyone...' Jacob checks his watch to see it was early, but soon remembers, 'Of course I forgot they had early shifts and left already so I guess they'll see her when they get back.' He rubs his tired eyes and let's out a big yawn that soon was followed by Alphonce then Stewart and then at last Shamus.

Shamus shook his head and pointed out, 'Hey, we're still here. You can show us.' He sits down to join them.

Jacob, although very tired, try to keep his sleepy eyes open, 'Right! Okay, it's still good! I'll show you guys then.' He gets up from his seat.

He went back down into the basement. They heard him talking to someone and heard some other strange sci-fi sounds as they hear Jacob, once again, coming back upstairs. He proudly opens the door to reveal Cyborg to everyone. They stare in confuse as they did saw Cyborg a while back, but ever since Jacob and her started to work in private together, she was almost never seen. Except for Alphonce who knew where Cyborg was hiding during his private sessions. Jacob lead Cyborg to get close to them.

'Now, before my dad had build Cyborg out of really cheap parts, but thanks to me Cyborg is new and improved!' Jacob stated.

'You didn't erase her memory. You didn't destroy Cyborg? Did you big brother Jacob?' Alphonce asks worried.

'Oh, no. Don't worry Alphonce. She's still Cyborg, I just fixed a lot of faulty features and a few damaged parts and a lot of leftover weapons stored into her. Now she's more advanced and not so lethal. She's not just a robot clone of our Noodle. Now Cyborg's a free thinking AI!' Jacob announced.

Everyone looked at him, confused by Jacob's choice of words. Jacob sighed and explained, 'AI is artificial intelligence which means she thinks more human and act more human than her simple design to be an armed bodyguard.'

Stewart and Alphonce oohed, but Shamus asked, 'So you made sure she's more human. Does that include other human aspects?' He chuckled.

Jacob, still sleepy and very tired, realized what Shamus was trying to hint. 'You know it's dirty minds like you that push gift genius like me down your level.'

Shamus shrugged his shoulders, 'I'm just saying, you seemed to be spending lots of time, alone with a female borg as your only company.'

Jacob glared at him as he continues to describe more improvements he installed onto Cyborg, 'Not only is her memory function is working, but it's increase. She's able to process them like a real human mind. The part of her old drive were the ones I couldn't crack before since it turns out it was damage badly, but that would required to replaced it completely. However since that would require for me to restart her whole hard drive it would have meant destroying any stored memories she had, but don't worry Alphonce she still remembers you and everyone. I decided to link our codes and genetic features to help her access that part of her to regain her lost memories. It worked! Thankfully dad was smart enough to make such a program, possible for her use, when during Plastic Beach he had her used this simple process to know who was the enemy and who he was. I look over that program and greatly improved it. I installed everything and everyone with certain traits and habits of everyone in Gorillaz to help unlock those blocked files. It was successful and few good memories and information about dad. She even programmed with a new ability to tell a person's health to tell if they're feeling sick or just fine.'

Cyborg look around. Her eyes scans her surrounding and records what she could see before her. 'My memories are coming through. Alphonce, son of Murdoc Niccals and Paula Cracker, hair color father's, eye color mismatch, same as father and has mother's skin type, but also had...' Cyborg tried to remember something else and it came to her, 'As a baby he had a little rash on his bum it was due to the cheap cream Murdoc bought.'

'Cyborg!' Alphonce screams embarrassed.

'Yes!' Jacob shouted. 'She's a step to revolution they way we think about Cyborgs!'

'So, she won't attack anyone, that comes near her?' Shamus asked.

'Oh, no wonders about that. I know Cyborg and spending time with her. She's a good person inside and out, even before I helped fix her.' Jacob told him.

Jacob looks at Cyborg, who smiles back at him. He held her hand in his and smiles. 'She's a wonderful person.'

'Well, I guess this calls for celebrating? Hey, how about we go somewhere for brunch or for an early lunch? I know this cafe that can serve great brunch stuff.' Shamus suggests to them.

Stewart and Alphonce cheered as they followed Shamus out the door. Jacob declined, 'Sorry, I've worked long hours and I think I could use some sleep. You guys go ahead. We'll be fine. I mean I'll be fine.'

'Alright then, tell Kim, I took the boys out to get something to eat, when she gets up.' Shamus shouts back as he closed the door.

Jacob and Cyborg stood in the hallway, she turns to Jacob, 'Jacob, does he not know?' She asked him.

'Know what?' Jacob asked back.

Cyborg looks at Jacob, 'It's hard to say, this Shamus registers something in my memory. Only it doesn't make sense why as I never recalled another man like him, but from what my scans show he has similar traits that resembles Murdoc.'

Jacob thought for a minute. 'I mean it's possible for Shamus to look similar to dad, but it's hard to tell with that hair and his stubble.' Jacob did recalled having an odd feeling about Shamus when they first met him when Alphonce ran away from them and was found by him.

'Maybe you're mixing them up dad's traits with Alphonce, I mean he's his biological son.' Jacob pointed out. 'But I was certain that when I upgraded that program, not to mix them up.'

'No, it's not a mistake, that man is registered, but his name doesn't come up. Murdoc never met this man and never have I. Could he be another relative of Murdoc, besides his father Sebastian Jacob or his brother, Hannibal?' Cyborg asked.

It wasn't like Jacob had often wished for his adopted father, Murdoc, to be back, but as he was told by everyone in the band Murdoc was gone and there was nothing they could do. Still if Cyborg was picking something up, maybe his upgrade had some flaws he needed to look over, but he was certain that he double, triple, checked everything to make the program function without a glitch. Jacob was lost in thought and didn't noticed Kim, in her robe, coming down.

'Jacob, you're finally out of the basement.' She spoke calmly.

'Yeah, I just finished making some adjustments to Cyborg.' He told her. Kim smiled happily seeing Jacob, 'Um, Miss Kim, what happened to dad?'

Kim spoke, 'Jacob, you know what happened. I'm sure even the rest of the band had told you what they know.'

'I know, but I want to hear everything once more just to know better. I mean from what I heard the police tried everything they could to find any evidence, but they never found a body.' He added.

Kim suggested they talk back in the kitchen, 'Alright, I'll tell what I know from the others, but I doubt it'll changed anything.'

'We could try, Miss Kim. I mean you and dad were heavily involve with one another even before you two got married. Don't you want to know more?' Jacob asked.

'Jacob, it's fine. I mean you and I weren't here when it happened. It shook us both to know that Murdoc just disappeared.' Kim told him. 'Well, let's see from what the others have told me and probably told you, it was during a bad thunderstorm that hit this flat and the power went out. The other were down here trying to grab some supplies from the basement in case the storm got worst. 2D said that he saw Murdoc rushing upstairs to get Alphonce from his room. That was the last time he saw Murdoc or anybody they saw him.' She told Jacob.

'That's it? No one said they saw him leave? That can't be the end, I mean dad might run off somewhere but he always come back. Plus dad wouldn't have been that crazy to just leave during a storm. He must have had a good reason to leave everyone, even Alphonce when he was baby.' He pointed out.

'I know, but it's true. They have no idea where he went or if he's coming back. When the storm was over, they didn't know where he went and figure he went off somewhere to get a drink, but after a while he didn't come back. That's when they called the police and told them what happened. They checked everywhere your father would be most likely be found, but again not a single clue or a lead to where he went. He didn't take his wallet or had his phone with him. He was just gone.' Kim explained.

'But then how is he dead? That's just him missing. He could hurt somewhere without any help or kidnapped. The police shouldn't have given up that easily.' Jacob argued.

'It's what the police decided. Jacob, they did everything they could to find him. They used everything, search dogs, police rounds, but nothing worked and without any leads, there was a very small chance of finding him.' Kim added.

'I remembered hearing the news that dad went missing, but I thought he was off visiting you.' Jacob recalled.

'I know. I nearly fainted when I got that phone call from Russel when he asked me if Murdoc was there, but when I said no, that's when he told me that Murdoc was missing for almost a month, and the police couldn't find anything. I cried for a week, skipping work, and just staying by the phone hoping it was Murdoc telling me where he is or if he was okay somewhere and was just too busy, but nothing came up. Then they told me the police came to the conclusion that he was gone and declared legally dead. Three years passed and nothing still, the only thing I focus on was preparing a good home for Alphonce because that's when Gregory was becoming a problem. It didn't leave me with much thought or time to mourned that my husband was missing. The police, they knew from the information we gave about Murdoc, he was known to leave for a while before showing up and because he had that habit everytime he and the band broke up, they conclude it was that as a possibility, but we knew it wasn't true. We knew this wasn't a stunt for publicity, but it wasn't enough to keep the investigation long, I mean legally they have to wait five years for a missing person to be declared dead, but knowing your father, they cut it short. Now another year comes and next year, that's it. It'll be over.' She sighed.

'But it can't be just over. There's got to be more time. We got time, I'm smart enough to know thing dad would do. He could still be around. Maybe he's not dead.' Jacob exclaims.

'I'm not sure Jacob. We tried everything. We even hired private investigators, hoping they find even a tiny clue, but it was a huge waste of money and since Gregory's reign of terror, they were close to bankruptcy when he took over everything.' Kim told him.

'Money shouldn't be important. Finding dad should have been!' Jacob shouted.

'Jacob, your father had a lot of money and Gregory could have drain everything leaving you and Alphonce with nothing. Murdoc wouldn't want that to happened. He wouldn't have wanted his gifted sons to be with nothing. You don't know how proud he was to know that his first son was accepted to an elite university at age 13 and we agreed that when you turned 16 you were ready to live in a dorm room, it was safe for you. Thank God above, he had a draft of some sort of will that prevent Gregory from even taking the whole thing from the two of you.' She answers back.

'Great for me.' Jacob sadly answers, 'Great that I was away from that mess, when I turned 16, dad went missing and everything hit the fan. Why couldn't I taken Alphonce with me? I would have kept him safe from Gregory.'

'Jacob, legally you had to be 18 or over to be a legal guardian. You also needed to support yourself and having your brother living with you would have been too much for you and for your classes.' Kim pointed out.

'I could have tried. I would done anything I could for Alphonce. I'm smart to still get my assignments and project done.' Jacob argues back.

'Jacob, I know you're smart, but you don't know the first thing about being a parent. It's easy to say can do it, but it's a lot of hard work to look after a child that requires a lot of your attention.' Kim shouted back.

Jacob sighed and hang his head on the table. Kim looked at him and ran her fingers through his soft golden hair. 'Hey, I know you'd be a good big brother and you're a hard worker, but you're still young and it'll be a crime to take on too much responsibilities.'

Jacob didn't say anything. Kim added, 'Hey, I thought I was doing a good job.'

Jacob, got up and looks at Kim. 'I didn't mean it like that. You took care of me when I was little. I know you'd be a good mom. I really didn't mean to sound like I didn't noticed.' He apologized. 'I just don't like feeling helpless. What's the point of being a so called 'genius' if I can't use it to help our the only people I consider my family?'

'Oh, Jacob. You're already helping us. You fixed Cyborg and you know how important she is, Alphonce was sad when Gregory shot her a few times. She was broken, but you fixed that.' Kim pointed out.

Jacob sighs heavily. He was exhausted and his head was starting to hurt. He looks at Cyborg who smiles back at him and held his hand. Jacob held her hand, it brought him comfort. 'You're right...mom.'

Kim smiled, 'I think that's the first time you ever called me 'mom'.'

Jacob laughed, 'Well I was used to calling you Miss Kim and since you are married to dad, it would make sense to finally call you, mom.'

'Aw, Jacob, you're a good boy and good big brother to Alphonce and I know you'd be good to Stewart too.' Kim told him. 'It's hard to accept things especially of it involves a love one. I just wish I know a way to explain this to Alphonce.'

Jacob asked, 'What do you mean?'

'Well, I should have mention this to the others, but I figure they would say it's from the shock of losing a father.' Kim begins to tells Jacob. 'You see it happened last year just before I took Alphonce home with me to America. I wanted to make sure if Alphonce was okay with the moving. He was okay but a little sad to leave everyone especially since they remind me him of his dad, so I suggested we light a candle to remember his dad, but that's when he told me something odd.'

She gestured Jacob to in close to hear her in private. She whispers, 'He said he knows what happened to Murdoc and why he 'disappeared'.'

'What?' Jacob was stunned. He didn't figure someone at Alphonce age would remember something so traumatic. Still, he continues to listen to Kim.

'Alphonce said saw the whole thing, but was too scare to tell anyone.' Kim added, 'Alphonce said it was a monster that took him.'

'A monster?' Jacob repeated. He reacted the way Kim figured he would react. She went to her purse and pulled out a few papers. She handed him the folded pieces of paper.

'I gave Alphonce a few pieces of paper and crayons to draw this so called monster and this is what he drew.' She showed Jacob the folded up drawings. He looked through them to see an image of a strange dark monster with red eyes and long nose. His mouth seems to be sticking out or was wearing a mask of some kind. He was stun at what he saw.

'Alphonce claimed that he remembers seeing Murdoc shouting at a dark corner and then he said this is what came out of it.' She pointed to the first picture, that showed a rough drawing of what looks like Murdoc being mad at something. 'Then he said Murdoc and this thing started to fight each other until Murdoc held onto it to keep it away from Alphonce ,' she points to the second picture, that shows the same scene. She showed Jacob the last drawing where everything was back, 'Then he said a dark cloud suddenly appeared and when it was gone so were Murdoc and the creature. Alphonce didn't say anything to the others because he was scared this thing would come back. That's why I told him to draw it instead, to make it easy for him. Looking at these drawings now, maybe he just imagined the whole thing.'

Jacob looks over Alphonce's drawings. He started to remember what his father, Murdoc, once warned him about, when he was staying with him during the Plastic Beach phase. A creature that was hunting Murdoc to collect a debt of some kind. A figure that appears and then disappears in clouds of black smoke. This monster, Alphonce described, was old as time itself. Jacob began to piece the clues together, it was clear who was the monster in the picture, the Boogieman.

'Yes! Mom this is it! This is it!' He shouts jumping out of his seat.

'What is it?' Kim asked.

'Mom maybe could be a clue to what happened! Dad isn't missing! He was kidnapped.' Jacob explains. 'This could change everything.'

'Jacob, honey calm down. What are you trying to say? Who would kidnap Murdoc?' She asked again.

'The Boogieman! He's been after dad's soul. He must have found dad here and tried to use Alphonce as a threat but dad beat him, but the boogieman must have knew that dad would fight him and used it as a trick to get him close and poof!' Jacob exclaims.

Kim got up and walk towards him. 'Jacob, what? This doesn't changed anything.'

'But mom,' Jacob answers back, 'He's not dead, this just proved it. He must be alive somewhere!'

'Jacob, listen to yourself, you're not making sense.' Kim told him.

'Mom, this monster that Alphonce saw was the Boogieman! He took dad. I don't know where but I can try to find him.' Jacob spoke hopeful.

Jacob walks over to Cyborg, who was also up from her seat, and pointed out, 'Cyborg could find him. I know she can. With the new program I installed into her, she'll find dad quickly. I mean there might be a few bugs to fix. I mean this morning she thought. Well I mean she assumed that...that...she...' Jacob stop suddenly and got lost in a thought.

'Jacob,' Kim chimes to him, 'Jacob maybe you've been working too hard. You look exhausted and your mind might not be at it's best. So maybe you should get some sleep, in a real bed, and not at your desk.'

Jacob looks at Kim, 'What? No, mom you have to listen to me. I can find dad. I'll find him and everything will be alright. Everything will be better.'

'Jacob, please that is enough. I shouldn't have shown you those drawings.' Kim muttered, but Jacob interrupts, 'Mom! Please! Dad is alive.'

'ENOUGH!' She yelled.

'Mom, please. This could be it!' Jacob exclaimed.

'No, you're not thinking straight. You haven't sleep right for so long that you're stress out. You need to go up to your old room, which lucky for you I've been keeping it clean in case you finally crawl out of that dark and cold basement. Now that you're done with your little experiment, you're going to hit the sack and get some sleep.' She ordered him.

Kim held him by the shoulders and lead him up the stairs to Jacob's old room. Cyborg followed them. Jacob was struggling to stop but he was too weak and exhausted to stop her. He was slipping in a out of his need to sleep. Kim had him take his shoes off and laid him to his bed. She placed the cover over him. Jacob could already feel his body relax against the comforts of his bed.

'I just need you to watch him while he sleep. I'm afraid this news about Alphonce's old drawings is going to send Jacob into a panic. I'll get dress and make something for him to eat.' Kim ordered Cyborg.

'Of course. I was watch over Jacob, adoptive son of Murdoc Niccals.' She responded.

Kim smiled as she left Jacob's room. Jacob sat up from his bed, Cyborg tried to sit him down. Jacob fought back to get up again. 'Cyborg please, I just need to write something fast before I forget.' He whispers to Cyborg.

'Jacob, you are already showing strong signs of exhaustion and over-work syndromes that could to high levels of stress. Maybe you should take note of your other mother's advice.' Cyborg suggested.

'I know, I'm tired, but please just a note, before I forget.' Jacob pleaded to her.

Cyborg thought and allowed Jacob to write his important note. She handed him a pen and his notebook. Jacob wrote fast on what he was going to do next. 'I know it might sound silly, but I need to double check that your program is working and to see what Shamus knows about dad. There might a link there and I'm going to find out.'
