Jacob settles down, his happy teary-eye reunion with his now found father, Murdoc, was alive, but then came a flood of questions with a colorful mix-up of emotions. 'Dad, why are you back? I mean, how?' The unsettling emotions were rushing into Jacob's voice and soon started to took over his mind and body. The fact that his once dead adopted father was really alive all these years and was staying in the same flat was too much to handle. That no one had noticed until Jacob's new program he installed into Cyborg was first to detected Murdoc's presence and told Jacob that his father was alive and was practically next to him everytime he enters or leaves a room. The stress of this situation was a blessing, but at the same time Jacob's happiness didn't last too long before he turns to Murdoc and glares at him. He was now beginning to fall into the first wave of emotion, anger. 'WHERE WERE YOU?! You left us no note or anything! Do you know how upset we all were?!'

Murdoc scratched the back of his neck and answers, 'Well I'm a bit fuzzy on those details, but honestly...I don't remember.'

Jacob, arms crossed, and said, 'And that's your excuse? You didn't remember who you were at all? What, you were drunk or high on something?'

'No and how dare you think that's all I am to you,' Murdoc pouted.

Jacob inhales and exhales trying to keep his mind steady as he tried to keep an open-mind, 'Okay sorry, but we did once found you passed out in the lawn, drunk and nude at Kong.' Jacob remembered.

Murdoc argued, 'Okay, but this wasn't one of those. However, I did remembered a few things, like my name and where I came from.' He closed his tired eyes and sighs, 'It took a while for me to piece myself together. My memory finally started to come back to me, but seeing I had nothing much on me it was hard to see if it was my memory mine or if I was just some craze loon speaking in tongues.' He added. 'Which a lot of people thought I was a craze loon that washed up, until I saw the news about my so called death.'

Murdoc's bland answer unlocked another question bubbling in Jacob's mind and a new emotion, confusion, 'So where were you the whole time? I mean where did you stay? Was it near or far? Why didn't you try looking for help? Why didn't anyone helped you?'

Murdoc tries to explained, but he stopped a few times trying to recollect what he had happened. 'I was found floating in the freezing ocean and some Norwegian fishing ferry found me. I ended up working there as a fisherman and well they figure I didn't belong in the fishing business especially since I suggested using dynamite to make it easier to fish. I mean it was freezing cold out there and staying out in the cold with a huge wave of water hitting and drowning us, I just couldn't stand it no more,' he commented.

'So I stayed on this small fishing town near the shore as a fish merchant and the owners allowed me to stay upstairs in a small room. I did the usual, sell some smelly fish, tried to talk to the simple folks, drink, and went home to bed. When I was all alone in the dark with the smell of fish still in the air and on my body because the heater wasn't working and that cost some money, which I didn't earn much selling since some people there commented that I wasn't a "pleasant" person to make a deal with, but bit by bit I tried to save for a way home. It was only in a couple of week after settling I started to remember who I am. I'd figure coming home was my first goal and from there I make my next plan. I tried to earn enough to afford a plane ticket or at the very least in a desperate act find a ship heading to England. Apparently, people can get snotty about selling first class seats if you smell nothing but sea salt and fish. So I settled for a plan B, found a ship and stowed away. As of right now, I can't and never will stand the smell or even look at another fish dead or alive. It figures I pick the one ship where they were delivering that some kind of 'fancy and expensive' Norwegian fish they canned and it stank if opened! I think one of their crates was damage or something because it was leaking. I must have heaved like three times just to cover that nasty smell. I'll admit it was an improvement on the smell.'

Jacob at first didn't want to showed much signs of sympathy for Murdoc. He was known for making exaggerating stories, but Jacob did remember when he met his father, as Shamus, at the park, he did had a overwhelming strong smell of fish that hung over him. This seems to calm Jacob's anger, but only for a bit and his response was, 'Okay so that explains where you've been, but if you couldn't remember how you got there, why didn't you look for help from a doctor or a police officer? You've been suffering a serious form of amnesia. There had to be a hospital or a medical practitioner even in a small fishing village. '

'But it wasn't serious,' Murdoc told him, 'I mean sure I should have went to a doctor, but I just didn't. I'm fine now, sort of.'

'They could have helped you.' Jacob told him.

'Yeah that should have been obvious, but it wouldn't have worked for me.' Murdoc quickly answered.

'Why not?' Jacob asked.

'Well,' Murdoc scratched the top of his shaggy hair, 'I sort of wasn't in control of myself at the time.'

'You said you remembered who you were over there, so what do you mean you weren't in control of yourself?' Jacob pressure his questions harder.

'Listen, it sort of felt like I was in some sort of daze, the lights were on but nobody was home or that I was home but I didn't know it even if I was standing in front of it. My body and mind were both trying to catch up, but they weren't running at the same time. Both parts of me just ran on auto pilot until I went to sleep and I think that's when I started to recover the missing bits of my mind.' He gave a shudder at the memory, 'For three months I was living like some sort of zombie. I got up, ate breakfast, worked. drink and went home. It wasn't exciting at all, not at all like me, well sort of, but not the part of me that's me. I would just hold myself in my room, sitting in one part of the room or stare out the window without a thought running through me.' He shudders again, 'It was like I was trapped living in 2D's body. Thankfully, by some luck I still had my charming personality and soon my razor wits were starting to come back to me. Otherwise I would have drowned myself a long time ago.'

Jacob just stared in disbelief. The feeling of confusion soon started to fade away and then came irritation, just from hearing how full of himself Murdoc was, but still he didn't want to yell, not yet. He just tried to understand the motive for his father's action, still the whole losing his memory and then coming back after he remembers sound like a cheap soap opera gag, but Jacob tried to believe whether the story did happened or a was lie.

'I was planning to explain everything and tell everyone. You don't know what I've been through.' Murdoc continued.

'When?! You've been here for almost a month? You don't know what we've been through!' Jacob yells at him.

Murdoc could hear the change of tone in Jacob's outburst. He tried to calm him down, but Jacob moved away when he took a step close to him. Jacob didn't want to look at him in the eye. He stared down at the hardwood floor, his fist clench, his body started to shake, but slowly as best as he could he tried to talk again, 'We did everything we could to find you. We thought you were lying in a gutter or hold up in some prison somewhere, that was our best guess since we've known you forever. Did you think it was easy for any of us to hear they couldn't find you?'

Jacob choked back a bit, but he clears his throat and kept talking, 'You've lied to everyone. You could have said something to us at the park! You could have revealed yourself when we got home. You didn't do anything! You just stayed here and pretend we didn't know each other!' He glares at him. Murdoc was startled by Jacob's outburst.

Murdoc tries to talk to him, 'Jacob, please believe me it was fate seeing you and my son running into that park.'

'Dad, you don't get it!' Jacob shouts, 'You don't know the stress we've all been through! The stress YOU put us through! Paula screwed us over with Gregory and when he moved in things only got worst!'

Jacob quickly wipes a tear from his eyes, his face turned bright red as he told Murdoc off over the experience he and everyone had went through since he disappeared.' We tried everything we could to get rid of him but because he was made Alphonce's legal guardian we couldn't do much. Since he was married to Paula, they placed Alphonce under his care and Paula didn't want anything to do with us or her own son because she thought you would still be here looking after him. Gregory was more than happy to take him because that meant him moving into our flat and taking over everything. We tried to kick him out, but he threaten to take Alphonce with him and since we weren't 'family' we didn't had any right of custody.'

'The band and I couldn't leave Alphonce alone with that monster. We had to do something to get him out of our flat and our lives, but that took a lot of work. The hours of getting lots of evidence since that's all the police want to see as 'prove' there was something wrong and lots of money to get this case we needed a lawyer. We were lucky Miss Kim's mom was a lawyer and got us some one to help us fight back! Still by some miracle we were able to take legal guardian ship away from that dead beat Gregory so that Alphonce could be place in her care, but the surprises never stopped for us knowing that the two of you were married before this mess happened!' Jacob pointed out.

Murdoc scratched his messy beard, 'Oh, didn't I say something about it?' He smiled shyly, 'Well it was kinda of sudden and well we were going to tell everyone the news.'

'Well none of that matter, no, it was after you went missing that she called to us to tell that part, three months before you disappeared, and now here you after that mess was cleared up. Still we all managed through it without you until now,' Jacob sighed.

'While all this mess was being cleared up, the police and detectives working on your case, declared you legally dead because there was nothing they could do to help us. No body found, no leads to follow, nothing else, and that's when they had to swallow that crap, but I couldn't accept it. I was hoping that something could lead us to find you, but no there wasn't.' Jacob's eyes were tearing up fast, 'I wasn't ready to admit, but mom tried to talk to me. I went through a lot of stress too. I'm your son too and I missed you.'

He was quiet for a minute, his entire body was shaking of the build up tension he held inside, 'I looked at the band and they were set on moving on. Giving you up. She was right we had to move on especially for Alphonce, as a big brother I had to be strong for him.' His face was wet with tears, 'And you just wash up here, thinking nothing's wrong and that things could be the same again. Well it's not! This isn't fate, but a joke from the universe!' He cried.

'Hey, you were lucky I 'washed up' because I wouldn't have noticed Alphonce running away from your group and stopped him running away into some dark woods over some garden wall. I had no ID, no passport, and no money, basically nothing at all. I was stuck in some freezing icy land where I had to start from scratch!' Murdoc argued.

Jacob screamed. 'Dad, how could you think that coming back after all these years and think everything is okay? It's NOT okay!'

'Look, I know things are rough. I'm here now.' Murdoc answered.

'Yeah, now! Years later!' Jacob cried. 'So your big plan is to make some grand reveal, that's just like you! Always craving for attention!'

'Yeah, I think there might a few new bumps to that plan.' Murdoc shyly spoke.

Jacob blinked confuse, but asked, 'Like what?'

Murdoc tap his fingers together for a bit before saying it, 'I may have already spend the night with my widow wife, who I'm now sure she think I'm really dead.'

Jacob's eyes widen, 'What?! You and mom?!'

'I know I mean it's me. If anyone could have know the real me, I was sure last night's performance should have rang some bells for her,' Murdoc complain. 'Then again it's sort of sweet. I mean she thinks so highly of me as her lost love even when I was there dressed as someone else, but really not that much. I mean sure it was a little dark in the room and we both had some tension between us before, but I could just tell she was thinking about me the whole time.'

That broke Jacob's patience. Jacob growl and jumped on Murdoc. They both fall on the ground. Cyborg tried to pull Jacob off but he brushed her off and starts beating up Murdoc. He didn't hold back his fist as they made contact with his father's face. Murdoc didn't want to fight his son and dodge his hits, years of abuse, he still remember to keep the hits away from his crooked nose, but Jacob only hit the side of his face a couple of times. Murdoc was bigger than him and easily grab both of his arms and pushes him back. Jacob struggled a bit, but he kneed Murdoc in the stomach while released his grip and continued to beat him up. Soon his fist started to hit less as he finally breaks down before him, sitting on him and cried. Murdoc, who had a few bruises to the face, looked at Jacob crying and carefully put a hand on his son's golden hair.

'Everything changed after your disappeared. Everyone thinks you're dead!' He found some strength and hit Murdoc again. 'They thought you were dead! Your fans think you're dead! She thinks you're dead! Alphonce thinks you're dead! And you think that just coming back would change everything back to normal?' He chokes back, he stopped hitting, but he glares with eyes full of pain his tears fall and landed on Murdoc's face. 'You don't even know what kinds of problems hit us.'

Jacob sniffed, 'You left behind everyone! Everyone mourned over you! Especially Alphonce, you left him behind, and that makes you the reason he was left to the hands of that monster. You weren't there to see it! That man wormed his way into our life, taking over things like he own it, and abuse Alphonce every chance he got since the others had to work. Humiliated him the same way your dad humiliated you just to earn some bits to get him another drink at the bar. You don't know how hard it was! We all knew about this, I tried to get him to live with me in the dorms, but because I'm still underage and stuck with a busy schedule of classes, I was not allowed to do it. Some genius I am, someone who can think of any solution to any problem, but still get stuck over something like rules and age limits, while I'm just trying help my brother out of a trouble home. That jerk Gregory had the nerve to charge the others rent to stay as if they didn't have a big enough debt to pay off because of you.' Jacob's grip harden on Murdoc's raggedy shirt.

'You hurt us and having you back here, acting all is fine, like things are going to get better, you're just causing us more pain. You're hurting everyone right now.' He spoke in a darken tone.

'What kind of dad just disappears, no note, no clue, no messages telling us he was fine and coming home. We all thought you were dead, but really you were off in some foreign land, living it up, and having a few more drinks. Then passing out drunk, dreaming of your epic return to the spotlight and become some sort of hero. That's bull!' Jacob hissed.

'Jacob, I...I'm sorry.' Murdoc tries to speak, but Jacob interrupts, 'NO! Don't say that!'

'Don't you ever say you're sorry! Sorry is not going to help undo everything! Gregory might have been a total wad, but you sneaking back in our lives is just sick! Do you enjoy seeing us like this? Uncle Russel, 2D, and Aunt Noodle are all working to rebuild a new life because their old life working for Gorillaz died on the day you went missing! You're just trying to play the pity card.' Jacob felt his throat tighten as his grip on Murdoc's worn out dirty shirt was loosen. He freed his hands and took a step away from him. He rubbed his eyes to clear away the tears that stung his face, but no matter how hard he tried to wipe them away, he couldn't stop crying. His face was red and wet. His entire body was still shaking. Murdoc gathered himself up, walks over to Jacob and held up his arms, pulling him close. Jacob tried to fight him away but Murdoc got him into a warm and caring embrace. Jacob slowly moved his arms and hugged him back. He finally stops fighting and finished crying. Murdoc ran his hands over Jacob's soft golden hair. Cyborg smiled as she read Jacob's body wasn't showing anymore signs of anger, frustration, distress or anxiety. Seeing how calm Jacob was becoming, she felt she was calm in a way knowing the kind genius that rebuild her new body was happy once again. After a while Murdoc and Jacob continued their talk and Cyborg kept an eye on the door in case someone overheard their outbursts or Jacob's painful sobs.

Murdoc looks at Jacob in the eyes and said, 'I want to make things right. Jacob, please I'll explain everything, but I just can't. It's just too confusing, the time I spent there, all those dreams and thoughts were about you, your brother, and the band. I missed being home and coming back I guess I wasn't thinking at all what I might find or if there was anything left for me. I know it's pointless to say it, but I am sorry for not coming back sooner. I had zero luck getting some help. Please I'll do everything I can to make things right again. I'll confess to everything, go on ask me anything and I'll try to answer it, honest.'

Jacob takes a deep breath and exhales, 'This isn't going to be easy. I mean I guess the media will believe this to be some ridiculous publicity stunt if we get the others to go along with it after you reveal yourself to them. They might hold back trying to kill you again. Alphonce will be happy to see you, but mom well...' Jacob crosses his arms, 'What are you going to tell her?'

'I get it.' Murdoc jumps in, 'I know, she'll be extra mad at me, but I swear things will be settle after a long talk. The same for the others only they won't involve candles, gifts, and lots of flowers, plus me on my knees begging for forgiveness.'

Jacob added, 'I think you got a better chance if you give them the candles, gifts and flowers while begging on your knees for their forgiveness. Mom's not an easy person you can break a promise and expect her to forgive you so easily.'

Murdoc gave a slight chuckled, 'Yeah, that might help me with them, but Jacob I swear that night, it just happened and let me tell you I swear to the man upstairs and downstairs I've never touched another women while I was away.' He emphasizes, 'I swear, this you have to believe me on this, it's the whole truth and it wasn't easy where I was staying!'

'Come on dad, aren't you being overly dramatic?' Jacob questioned him.

'You have no idea how hard it was working every day in those smelly fish ports, drinking at their pubs and to see very attractive women, walking by, winking and flirting with 'Shamus'. I mean it son they were the legendary blonde, busty, and perky models you would see wearing tiny swimsuits or lace underwear like in those magazines!' He told him, 'So temping, but I never, no matter how close they were I never laid one finger on any of them!'

Murdoc shows Jacob a bent up ring, on his finger, 'I bit my ring just to remind myself I wasn't going to mess up or cheat. I wasn't going to ruin my plans for a quick fling only to end really dying once I get home.'

Jacob, once again didn't show any signs of sympathy for his pleading father, 'All I have to say is that whatever happens to you is out of my and the others hands once she's done with you. Like the other night you said you both spend together in private?'

Murdoc gulps, 'You think we can hold back on telling the public about my re-appearance? I mean if I'm just going to die again by the one person that could kill me, why bother right?' He laughed nervously.

Jacob didn't give much thought and just answered, 'To be honest, whatever is left of you, the other band mates might not even get a chance at beating you into a pulp, but if I had to guess your best chance of surviving, is if Alphonce and Stewart are in the same room. I doubt they could actually kill you in front of the kids.' He smirked.

Murdoc ran his hands over his shaggy hair as he collapse on the bed, groaning, 'I'm really going to pay for it, aren't I?'

Jacob and Cyborg looked at each other and sighed. Murdoc really hadn't changed that much all these years. The same drunk man, now sober, tired, and cringing at the thought of his incoming punishment from the others. Jacob smiles at him, 'Well, at least you won't worry about me joining them now that we know, but I think they'll be too busy punishing you to find the time to punish us for keeping this quiet. Plus in case you were thinking that Cyborg could still protect you, I hate to say this, but I really love seeing that shocking look on your sad face, is to let you know she's completely weapons free.'

'It's true, I'm not longer a weapon of destruction, at least not on the parts that allow self-defense if threaten.' Cyborg added.

'What?!' Murdoc exclaims, 'You're seriously going to let them have their way with me?! I thought you were just fixing her! Not downgrade her!'

He starts to plead for mercy, 'Jacob, I swear I'll tell them everything. Please let's just keep this quiet until everyone is here, but can I ask for one more thing? If you're sure it'll keep me safe for a bit longer, can you do it?'

'Sure, what?' Jacob asked.

'Please don't leave me with them! Think of the kids! The kids! Please! Don't let them leave the room! They would never hurt me in front of small children right? Just please don't leave me with them alone!' Murdoc pleaded. He was on his knees holding Jacob close to him, only it was his turn to tighten his grip holding his gold-heart son, in hopes his pleads would reach in there to sway his son for protection. Jacob just smile and starts to laugh out loud. Murdoc watches in disbelief that his own adopted son was seriously laughing at him.

'Well I'm so happy this is bringing you such joy. The thought of me and my incoming death sentence must be really funny for you.' Murdoc sarcastically told off him. This only made Jacob laughed harder and soon Cyborg started to join him. They both laughed at him.

Annoyed, Murdoc gave a cocky smile. 'Well I guess I should look on the bright side, I have two less people that want to hurt me, and I guess that's good to know.'

However not all things were good, because downstairs Kim was on the phone with someone. When she heard a strange thud coming from Jacob's room, she tries to end her call quickly but the woman on the other side was dragging their conversation longer than she liked. 'You're what? Coming tomorrow night? Okay, fine. Yes, that's fine, I'm sure once we talk in person, everything will be cleared.' She hangs up and makes her way upstairs.

'Tomorrow night, that crazy Karen woman said she was coming to check on Alphonce.' She spoke to herself. 'It's just that I think single mothers work too hard to be raising kids,' she hissed in a mocking tone, imitating the voice of the woman from the phone call.

Kim sighed,'That nutso thinks Gregory is better than me? I'm going to make her eat her entitled words.' She stops in front of Jacob's door and whispers, 'Then again, this is on such short noticed, there not much to get ready by then, but like my mom said I have to find any solutions it takes to solve a problem. Nobody said being a mother would be easy.'

Her train of thought broke by the sound of laughter coming from Jacob's room. Curious why Jacob was laughing so loud, especially since he still looked tired after working so hard on Cyborg's rebuilt, she knocks on his door and waited. Soon the laughter from the other side stopped and some whispering she couldn't understand was heard. She knocked again, 'Jacob,' she spoke to him through the door, 'Is everything okay in there?'

There wasn't any responds which made her tense remembering that Shamus was with him. 'Jacob, I want to know if things are alright, remember what we were talking about as a kid you need your sleep. Whatever it is important to you can wait until later. Shamus, I think you should leave too.' She asked him next. Kim was getting impatient, 'Whatever you're talking about in there, end it now. Jacob, I'm going to open this door right now and I want to see you in bed right now.' She told him. She leans to the door trying to hear something. She tries to open the door, but saw that it was lock, this was raising her suspicions up higher.

The only sounds Kim could make out were the sounds of quick movement and some harsh whispering. She backs away when she hears the door unlocked and opens before her. Jacob's head peek through the opening, 'Um, yes? Mom?' He softly answered to her.

'Oh, Jacob, is everything okay in there? You know how I feel about close doors when there's a guest staying.' She stared at her tired step-son.

'Oh, yeah! I mean I was trying to get some sleep, but you see before going back to sleep, I wanted to talk to Shamus since I felt like I haven't talk to him in so long after meeting him. You know I was working those long hours on Cyborg's new body took a lot of nights and hours of work for a genius like me. So, we talked for a bit, but my tired mind kept telling me so much that I was still very tired and needed to sleep.' Jacob told her.

'Really? For someone that's so tired after working for so long, I thought I'd heard a lot of laughter in there, what's going on? Is Shamus still in there with you?' She questions him.

'No, I mean, yes he's still here and was going to leave. He was telling me stories about his sea trips and that made me so sleepy. He saw that I was dozing off and told me a quick and funny joke. I laughed so hard and fell off the bed, but I'm okay, nothing too hard hit me. Cyborg is here looking after me so no need to worry.' He laughed a bit.

Kim checked Jacob's forehead to see if he was getting sick. He doesn't have a fever, she thought and looks at him, trying to see if there was another reason for the thudding sound and the laughter. 'No fever, but if you're so tired as you say you are, then you need to rest and that means going straight to bed. Tomorrow is an important day and I'll need everyone's help.' She told him.

'Help with what?' Jacob asked.

'I'll tell it to you after you get some rest so that you can understand everything easier, you know how annoyed I get repeating myself too many times,' she answered.

'I know mom. Sorry, mom, I was just talking to Shamus,' he gets interrupted by Kim, 'Look, as of right now I only want you in bed. So, please, not in a rude way, have your guests out of your room and go to bed, please.' Kim tries to get a look inside but Jacob just blocks her. 'Okay, mom, I will.' He shuts the door and out he pushes Murdoc, Jacob called him, as Shamus, to keep up the act, 'Okay, Shamus thanks for the stories but I need rest like my mom said. Nice getting to know you.'

Murdoc, going along with it, was almost to close to Kim's field of vision, and moves away from her as he quickly answers back, 'Anytime, boy.' He avoids looking at Kim in the eyes, which slightly hurt Kim. She watched as he hurries downstairs and Jacob quickly added, 'I think Cyborg needs to stay with me in case I need anything and send her to you for anything. Alright, sweet dreams, love you mom.' Jacob shuts the door and locks it again. Kim stared at the door, confuse by what happened, but instead she choose to leave it be and hears Alphonce's voice calling out for her.

'Mommy,' Alphonce called out.

Kim hurries to him, 'Yes, Alphonce something wrong? You hungry?'

Alphonce shook his head and put his arms up, Kim sighed, 'You want to be picked up don't you?' Alphonce smiled at her. Kim got down and picked him up. He leans against her shoulder. He often does this to show how much he enjoys being in her comfort. Kim pats his back and whispers, 'Don't worry. I'm here. Nothing and no one is going to take you away from me.' Alphonce heard his kind step-mother's whispers and this only made him tighten his grip onto her. She noticed and kisses his head, Alphonce resume hugging her and this brought her some comfort. Murdoc watches them from the the bottom of the stairs. His little family, so close and yet so far, but he knew that if he does reveal himself now, only one of them would be happy to see him while the other would become cold and distant. Murdoc tries to rub away the stress he felt on the sides of his messy hair, 'In time,' he whispers, 'I just need some time and hopefully things will be go smoothly.'

The next day bright and early Kim alerted everyone about her phone called with Ms. Grose, 'She'll be here later tonight, maybe early just to catch us off guard. I didn't get much sleep just thinking about what that woman might do or say. We're all going to have to fix this place up, I know this is your combine day off and I'm asking a lot from all you, but.' Russel stops her, 'If it means stopping that crazy woman from bring Gregory back, we'll be more than happy to lend you a hand.' He smiled.

'Yea', I don't want t'at monster anywhere near my kid either. I can't believe it, but 'e's worst t'an Mu'doc. At least w'en 'e drinks 'e didn't abuse anyone's kid. I mean wiff meh, but 'e changed.' 2D added.

'As long as we keep her here and away from upstairs. It's still a mess and we all decided that we're moving away from this place after this meeting.' Noodle announced.

'Moving? You have plans or a place to stay?' Kim asked.

'Can't they stay with us mommy?' Alphonce asked next.

'Sorry, little man, your mom has already done a lot for us in the past and it's not right if we move in.' Russel told him, but Kim quickly jumps in, 'No, of course not. You're practically family to Alphonce and me. We'll adapt and help out.'

'Kim, we're adults, even Noodle,' He joked. 'We'll find a new home and you're both always welcome to visit.' Russel answered.

'Well then, we all got a lot of work to do, what times did she say she'd be coming Kim?' Noodle asked.

'She said in the later evening, around four or five, but I can't take a chance leaving it to the last second.' Kim told them. The others agree and for the rest of the morning to the close to two in the afternoon, they were exhausted moving and clearing a lot of junk and stored it away upstairs. Meanwhile Alphonce and Stewart were to be watched over by Jacob and Shamus. Since Jacob found out his secret, he suddenly felt awkward being called as Shamus now that someone knew who he really was and stranger than that suddenly Alphonce wasn't so cheerful seeing him anymore. He sat with Jacob on the couch watching TV while Alphonce and Stewart were busy listening to some music on an tablet Kim lend to them.

'Well? Everyone is here,' Jacob whispered to him. 'At the rate they're working hard to clean up this place, they might be too tired to kill you.' He smiled.

Murdoc rolled his eyes as he whispers back, 'I know and very funny.'

'Dad, come please. The sooner you tell them the better.' Jacob pleaded.

'I know,' Murdoc sharply told him under his breath. 'Kim is working harder than ever to make this place livable and this place was a mess even before she got here. Is it true what they've been talking about? That some nutso is threatening to take Alphonce away? He asked.

Jacob nods his head, 'That's what I heard, last year the calls started to come after Alphonce moved in with mom to the states. I recorded them in case they're bluffing and we got evidence to take to the police, but they're smart. There were a few times that either Russel, 2D and Noodle were almost yelling on their side before I had to stop them from making them look bad. This one lady that mom's been talking to is the person that's been contacting them about a court re-trial over the judges decision. It seem that she believe Gregory has change and is ready to take his guardianship again.'

Murdoc's eyes widen, 'Are you serious? They can't just flip their decision like that. Just because he's a 'good' person? Well that's the bloody system, working well for others but twisted for someone else!'

Murdoc shuts himself seeing that one of the kids turned to see him yelling. They tried to change the subject to something boring and waited until it was safe to talk again. 'I can't believe this. So if this thing fails, my son gets taken away, again?'

'Now you know how serious you need to tell everyone that you're alive and been living here, apologize.' Jacob emphasize his argument.

'I'm sorry. I know they're are working hard. I mean this place wasn't in good condition in the first place, but I can't just tell them to distract them from finishing this important mission.' Murdoc commented. 'And I just can't stand being the one responsible to add more fuel to this hellfire.'

Jacob stared deathly at him, his patience was running on thin, and Murdoc saw as he added, 'Well excuse me, for not being a happy home maker, but I went through a lot. I mean you don't know what I've experienced. Huge waves, storms blowing, ships sinking and he was there and then after...after...' He trails off and kept quiet.

Jacob saw the change of expression on Murdoc's face. He looked frighten by something. His voice mumbling something he couldn't hear until his lips just shut themselves together. Murdoc was soon sitting on the couch, being eerily quiet, as he stares out into space. 'Dad?' Jacob spoke to him, but he didn't say anything not until the touch of Jacob's hand on his shoulder that it shook Murdoc out of his trance. 'What? What were we talking about?'

'Dad, what was that?' Jacob asked.

'What? What was what?' Murdoc looks at his son. Jacob re-thinks of what Murdoc told him about lost and without any memories, was it because of something traumatic that it caused Murdoc to block it until he felt he was safe to remember part of himself. The look on Murdoc's tired and shaggy face, alone showed strong signs of someone that went through something extreme beyond for a human to understand. Although this brings Jacob to remember about the drawings Alphonce drew about a monster that he claim took their dad in the first place. He went through his backpack and found the drawings he saved. He sits carefully next to Murdoc, who was looking at him like he was the odd one now, as Jacob hands over Alphonce's drawing to him, 'Dad, Alphonce drew these a couple of days after you were gone. Can you see what Alphonce saw?'

Murdoc stared at the odd drawings, at first nothing as he shifts from one to the other, then stops as he looked carefully at one drawing with an odd creature drawn over what look like himself. The drawing Alphonce made, he used a lot of a black crayon to set the scene, but there he noticed his doodle self and the odd being behind him. His eyes widen again and his hands started to shake a lot.

'No...no...no..no..n-n-no. Not him.' Murdoc mutters.

'Dad, who or what is that?' Jacob asked him.

Murdoc's face was of sheer terror when he looked at Jacob. It surprised him, but seeing how quickly his father went from being fine to turn a lighter shade of green just after seeing the drawing he held. He stutters a bit, his lips tremble as he tried to force a word out of his mouth and finally he did and it was, 'Boogieman'.
