Murdoc was rushing up stairs. He didn't see what was ahead of him and stepped on a toy. He fell hard face first on the steps. He made a loud thud when he fell and let out a swear word. The sound of his thud on the steps caught the attention of Alphonce and Stewart as they came out of Alphonce's room to see where the sound come from and they saw Murdoc on his knees. He was rubbing his nose and mumbling to himself. When he finally got up and brushes himself off, he noticed the boys on the top steps staring back at him. He gulped realizing that they must have heard him when he fell. He whispers harshly at them, 'Don't go using that word, ever! You got that? Or so help me I'll spank both your bottoms pink!'

Stewart pushes Alphonce behind him. He spread out his arms defending his young half-brother. 'See!? I told you he turned bad when your mummy isn't around!' Stewart exclaimed.

Murdoc's jaw dropped. He shook his head in disbelief that Stewart had already forgotten who he really was and thought that maybe the kid was more like his dimwitted father after all. He hopes that Stewart didn't forget about what Jacob and him told in private earlier this afternoon, that it was secret, a surprise to make it easier for the kid to understand that he can't say that Shamus is really Murdoc. He grumbles to himself being really quiet this time to make sure that they couldn't hear him. He tries to stay calm and talked to them in a nicer tone this time, 'Look, I'm sorry what I said, but I was running up the stairs and tripped.' He picked up the toy and showed it to them. Stewart gulped and blushed it was his toy he left.

'Right now I think I just messed up something. So I need you two to get Kim and Jacob downstairs before...' Murdoc is interrupted when he hears Ms. Grose's voice calling out from downstairs, 'Is everything alright?'

Murdoc shushes the boys and answers back, 'Yeah, just tripped a bit. I tend to be a bit clumsy. Not because of a toy or something.' He smacks his head realizing how stupid that answer was and wished he kept quiet.

Ms. Grose only responds back in a cutting tone, 'Alright, well is the woman ready or what? I'm very busy and any suspicious behavior won't look so good for her case.'

Murdoc frowned, turns to the boys, stares at Alphonce and whispers to him, 'Go, get your mom right now before that woman leaves.'

Alphonce called out for Kim, 'Mommy!'

Kim came out from her room. She was already dress and was fixing an earring in place. She sees Murdoc, still under the disguise and name as Shamus. She asked, 'What's wrong? What happened?' She turned her attention mainly on the boys, 'I heard a thud like somebody fell. Boys, are you two okay? Neither of you are hurt, are you?' She bends down to check them for any bruises or scraps. She sighs happily to see they were fine.

'They're fine, I tripped. Okay?' Murdoc told her.

'That scary lady is here.' Stewart added.

'Already? Okay, remember what we talked about yesterday and this morning. If you're asked some questions, just remember to keep your answers simple, and if you're uncomfortable to talk you don't have to say anything to her.' Kim reminds them.

'Wait, isn't this just about Alphonce?' Murdoc asked her. He was confuse why she told both boys about the social worker.

'Yes, but I didn't know about Stewart. He was dropped here to be under 2D's care, after I took Alphonce, and I don't want Ms. Grose to assume things. I mean they're half-brothers and if she is after Alphonce, there's no telling what she might do if she finds out about Stewart.' She explains to him. 'I don't want to play any kind of risks with this social worker sniffing around. So far things haven't been great and the last thing we want is these boys to be taken away.'

'She can't take me away too, can she?' Stewart asked her.

'Don't worry, right now your dad is out and he and the other said they will be back soon.' She told him.

She turns to Alphonce and spoke in a calm voice, 'Okay, sweetie, time to be on our best behavior.'

'I don't want to talk to her.' Alphonce whispers to her. 'I don't feel so good.' He rubs his tummy. He was starting to feel really sick and hope it might stop the social worker from wanting to talk to him.

'I know, but I think you're nervous. Everyone is nervous about today, but the only way to get through this is we both meet and talk. She just wants to know if you're okay living with me.' She combs Alphonce's black hair. It was soft but she notices that some of his hair felt rough and tries to comb over carefully to smooth it. She knew it might be his demonic powers reacting to this stressful day. 'It's going to be okay. There will be no more surprises and once this is over we'll return home. Can you be my brave boy tonight?' She asked him.

Alphonce nods his head. Jacob finally exits from his room. He saw the others already waiting for him to show up. Jacob held Stewart's hand. Kim picked Alphonce up and held him close to her. He clings to her as they went down a few steps, but Murdoc rushes down ahead of them and stops them halfway.

'Um, one more thing, I should mention.' Murdoc pants trying to catch his breath. He laughs nervously as he confesses, 'She may thinks that I'm your fiancé.' He gave a big smile at Kim.

'My what? Are you crazy?' Kim nearly screams at him, 'Fiancé? What made her think of that?'

'What this your stupid idea?' Jacob asked. 'Seriously, learn to take a joke!'

'Look, she just crept up to me while I was fixing the windows and I just didn't like how she was talking badly of you. So I just said what came into mind.' He told them.

They all glared annoyingly at him. Kim was shaking her head, 'Look, I just said there will be no more surprises after what happened this afternoon.'

'He also said a bad word too and said he's smack our bottoms too.' Stewart told her.

'Seriously? You were that mad over a little joke?' Jacob frowns at him.

'No! Plus he left his bloody toy that caused me to trip.' Murdoc argued. 'Look, I know it was a dumb idea and we might need a story to impress her on how we met, but I was trying to help. I mean if she does think that you're unfit as a single mom, then why not be a single mom that's engaged, it might throw her off, and keep her snotty mouth shut.' Murdoc tries to explain to them.

'I mean knowing you might have a husband again could change her mind. I was thinking on my feet. There is something else I wanted to say to you before but...' He pauses but quickly changes the subject, 'Never mind about that, it also means she can't use that old excuse about 'single moms are unfit to raise kids'. So let's just act like were in love okay, dear?' He takes Kim's hand and kisses it. 'My sweet darling, my everything and my very reason for living.' He laughed nervously trying to kiss her cheek. Jacob covered Stewart's eye from this sad scene. Alphonce really didn't like what he was hearing and see happening to his step-mother. He tried to scratch at Murdoc, but Kim held onto to him. Murdoc backed away from them.

Alphonce's eyes were flashing red. 'No!' He shouted. 'No, you're not taking my mom!' His hair spiked a bit but calms down a bit when Kim whispers to him, 'It's okay.'

Turning her attention back to Murdoc she whispers harshly, 'We will talk about this later in private. Right now I've got to play Hostess with a very important guest.' She moves around Murdoc and hurries downstairs with Alphonce blowing a raspberry at him. Murdoc and Jacob could heard faintly Kim greeting Ms. Grose with a cheerier tone.

Jacob just stares at Murdoc in disbelief and asked, 'Dad, is it me or did being lost at sea made even you crazier?'

'It just slipped out and for the record that joke about having 2D being her husband wouldn't make things better, either. No, way she would believe they are happily married.' Murdoc argues back.

'But she wasn't serious about the idea. She laughed at it too! Didn't you noticed? Mom's no where near ready to get marry again.' Jacob told him. 'And after that display of desperate affection I doubt she'll even want to see you again, dead, alive, or as Shamus.'

'That's because she's still married to me! She's still married to Murdoc, which is who I am.' Murdoc whispers back. 'I was trying to protect them from that crazy lady. I'm telling you Jacob there's something off about this so called 'social worker'. I've faced a lot of authority figures in my life and I can tell who's it and who's a big faker! I think she's hiding something like she doesn't care if Kim treats her like royalty and serves her food on a bedazzled plate.'

'And how's pretending to be her fiancé will stop her?' Jacob asked.

Murdoc confidently explained to Jacob. 'I think it's best that her 'fiancé' is in the same room with them. That way I'll cut her off from any kind of fluff she might pull out. Plus Kim is still technically marry to me so any jokes about her marrying 2D isn't funny at all.' He crossed his arms proudly.

'She think you're still dead! Everyone but me and Stewart knows you're alive.' Jacob pointed out to him.

'Well...she'll know the truth and the others will too eventually. I'm just trying to be super nice and helpful. I can't just say it on a day like today. She's already looking stressed out. Even more so than whenever I gave her a list of chores to do when we lived at Kong Studios.' Murdoc commented.

Jacob, shaking his head, was amazed at how clueless, and how slow Murdoc's sense of timing is when it comes to picking a right moment. He suggests to him, 'You know dad, you could have told mom the whole truth after everyone left and maybe she would have understand better alone, than in a group. Alphonce would probably be super happy to see you back and that it might have help soften mom to not beat you up.'

It took Murdoc a few seconds to think about that idea and realized that Jacob was right. He only argued back in question, 'Then why didn't you tell me to do that after they left?'

'Because you,' Jacob pointed at him, 'Said you were waiting for the 'right moment' to tell everything to everyone. It's not my big dirty secret. I just found out ahead of you.'

'You're not so smart.' Stewart jumps into their conversation. 'Maybe you're a dullard and not my daddy.' Jacob and Stewart laughed at him. Murdoc groaned and rub the sides of his head to eased the tension away.

Meanwhile Kim was talking with Ms. Grose. She offered her a glass of wine. Ms. Grose stares at the wine and takes the it. 'So you do have other offers besides water? Yes, I would like a glass of wine if that might be too much for you to handle.' Ms. Grose spoke coldly to Kim, sniffing the wine glass in her had and takes a quick sip.

Kim just smiled back and lead Ms. Grose to the other room. They sat down on the couch with Alphonce sticking by Kim's side. Ms. Grose sat across from them, but her eyes were focused on Alphonce, clinging to Kim's arm. She takes another sip from her glass and spoke bluntly, 'I must say the boy looks nervous. You're not a strict kind of a parent? Like if he gets out of line you punish him, right?' She asked.

'No, I would never do that to my son. Alphonce is just a very shy kid and takes some time to be around strangers.' Kim quickly told her.

'I see.' Ms. Grose spoke in an uncaring way and takes another sip of wine. 'I can imagine it as some psychological disfunction with the absence of a father figure.' She implied, trying to confuse Kim with a few long words, but sadly for her, Kim proved to be smarter than she looked.

'I understand that for most parents when it comes to children, boys in this case, that being raise without a 'male figure' might cause some 'dysfunction' in their growth, but I believe that it's a good parent that makes a good child. I know as a mother there are some disadvantages and there are some subjects that might be best explained by another male, but I know there are some opportunities available to help my son grow well like any normal child raised with both parents present.' Kim explained.

Ms. Grose's smirk turned into a harsh frown and finishes the entire glass in her hand. She tries to think of something else to throw at Kim and smiles at the empty glass. She shakes it in the air and asked for more wine. Kim got up and took it, but before she could refill with the bottle she opened for her guest, Ms. Grose quickly asked, 'Do you have another drink available? This one I'm sorry to say isn't very good. You see I have a very sensitive stomach when it comes to certain types of drinks and can only handle cheap wine in small amounts. Another glassful and my stomach would start acting up.'

Kim stared at the woman in disbelief. She was looking away from Kim and continues, 'I mean you're not trying to send me away with an upset stomach hoping it might end our interview?'

Kim really wanted to say something back to her but Murdoc jumps into their conversation, 'Well, I know a thing or two about fine wine and if you want the best stuff, there's some in the basement. Um, love you could get it while I take care of our lovely guest.'

Ms. Grose quickly turns to see Murdoc staring back at her. She pointed out what Kim told her. 'I see, your son has adjusted to have this man in your life?' She asked.

'Well, it's a long and terribly romantic story, but I shouldn't bored you with it. Right now, today is about this boy's health and good up-bringing.' Murdoc ran his hands all over Alphonce's hair. He laughed but felt something sharp and took it back. He had a few scratches on his palm but pretend it was nothing. Murdoc could tell already that Alphonce was getting aggressive and any playful manner by him would make Alphonce feel worst. 'So, I'll be helping by sitting in while my soon to be bride fetches us a better bottle of wine. Okay?' He held Kim's hand and kisses it. Alphonce rolled his eyes.

'May, you certainly have an odd taste for men, Ms. Niccals. I could hardly tell by the way he's dressed that he's a gentleman.' Ms. Grose commented.

Kim laughs nervously, 'Well, I picked by character and not by appearances.' She grabs Murdoc's arm and tries to act lovingly to him, 'Dear, please entertain her while I fetch her a new bottle and while I do that I'll have dinner ready as well.' She quickly kisses him on the cheek and leaves them. Alphonce reached to her but Kim shook her head. Murdoc sat down next to him. Alphonce moves away from him until he was at the far edge of the couch. Alphonce took a quick look at Ms. Grose, who just gave a wide and creepy smile at him, and it scared him. He looks away and just stares at the floor. Jacob and Stewart's feet enter into his sight.

Ms. Grose notices them and she asked Murdoc who they were. Murdoc turns his head and introduces them, 'Jacob Kin and Stewart Pot. Our other guests that will be joining into our conversation.'

'Oh, I don't think that would be necessary I mean they're children. I'm sure these kids would rather be off playing video games than sit through a boring meeting.' Ms. Grose quickly suggested. She bit her lips thinking to herself, 'This isn't going like I thought. I didn't expect some extra guests. How the heck am I going to get a chance to be alone with the boy.' She spoke out, 'I think it might be best we don't involve any other children except the one I'm interviewing to be part of this long and boring meeting. Young man I'm sure you might agree that grown up talk is just what you call today a snoozefest.' She smiled at Jacob.

Jacob just stared at Ms. Grose. His eyes moved to Murdoc who gave him an 'I told you' look back and in a calm tone, Jacob answered, 'Well, you see I may be young but I don't mind sitting through this dinner.'

Ms. Grose was taken back and tries to heavily implies how dull the dinner was going to be and kids like Jacob and Stewart aren't going to like it. However Jacob wasn't going to leave and told her, 'I go to a top University. A child genius they call me, but I am technically Alphonce's older brother. You see our father, Murdoc Niccals, adopted me first, but since I'm considered as a minor and I can't be put in charge of taking care of my younger brother because of my classes at the university. However I know first hand, that Ms. Kim, or mom as she is now to me, would be a much better parent to watch over him. I support her fully and even if the judge didn't give her the guardianship I would fight back for my right as Alphonce's big brother to watch over him.'

'Surely, a boy like you even a gifted one can't understand about we're talking about.' Ms. Grose argued back.

'I do know how good of caretake my mom is. After all she looked and took care of me when she was working for my dad.' Jacob told her.

'I see. She worked for your father before?' Ms. Grose questions Jacob. 'That's a very serious topic that I'm sure you can't possibly understand. To put if plainly for you to understand it isn't a good idea to mix work and personal relationships together.' She spoke to him in a slower tone.

Jacob really hated being talk down. He was about to scream back at her when Murdoc interrupts him, 'He's right. They did worked together, but she didn't stay like that for long and had her own aspirations and made her own career. So it was fine after that or so she told me in private when I asked about the boys' father.'

Ms. Grose smiled came back on her face and pointed out, 'So, she can afford to keep her other son in a top university studying abroad? It seems odd she let you live in a shabby flat like this with strangers.'

'Oh, I don't live here. I live in a dorm.' Jacob told her. 'And those 'strangers' are the bandmates and I consider them as family too.' He added. 'Yes, they do live here but they been making plans to move out soon. They welcome me to stay with them anytime I like.'

'Oh, how nice.' Ms. Grose felt herself backing into a corner. She was trying think of a new plan, but smiled when she heard the door bell ring. A sigh escaped from her lips. 'Well then, I guess we'll discuss this some more during dinner? Okay? Lovely meeting you genius boy, but I've got to greet a personal guest of mine.' She smiles at him and hurries to out of the room.

Murdoc and Jacob talked in private, 'I told you, there's something wrong with that woman.'

'Yeah, I'm sorry to doubt you.' Jacob apologies to Murdoc. 'Did you hear how she talked down to me? She was trying to get me to leave like she hated the idea that I would be part of the meeting.'

'Best be on your toes, son.' Murdoc whispers to him very quietly, hoping Alphonce couldn't hear him. He checked to see Alphonce was still sitting on the edge of the couch, staring at the floor, and dangling his feet.

'Mom, has got to know that this woman is not what she seems.' Jacob whispers back.

'We'll need to be careful with Alphonce too.' Murdoc told him.

'Why? He looks like he doesn't want to be here either almost as bad as that woman didn't want me.' Jacob pointed out.

'I know. He may look like he's not listening to what's going on, but he's stressing out. He's trying not to show it but his powers are saying otherwise. Look, I knew when Alphonce was born he had special powers. I gave Kim special instructions to be careful with him before my 'death'. True he was very small but I made some notes during the Plastic Beach phase. After seeing her again, I asked a lot of questions about Alphonce hoping things were okay. I was happy when she told me or to be specific she told Shamus and he sounded like he was acting like a normal child.' Murdoc explained. 'But you saw how he acted to me on the steps. He got very mad, ready to scratch my eyes off, if Kim didn't held him, and that's enough proof that tells me Alphonce can not be be left alone with that woman.'

Jacob gasped. 'Like what happened with the bully?' He recalled something Kim told him.

'What? What really happened Jacob? You know about Alphonce's demonic powers too. You, Kim, and Cyborg are the only people that know about Alphonce's powers. She would only tell you in private about what really happened. Tell me.' Murdoc pleaded.

'Okay, Mom, said that Alphonce and a friend of his was being picked by a big bully. She knew something was odd when Alphonce screamed at her. His eyes turned bright red and his hair spiked but she said it was only for a few minutes and he calmed down. After that she said Alphonce was feeling much better, but she got a call from a teacher asking to meet in her office. The next day she dropped Alphonce at his class and went to the office. The bully's mother said it was Alphonce that beat her kid up. She looked at the bully sitting in a chair saw he was a large child and she knew that Alphonce must have used his powers. After school she told Alphonce not to use his powers. He asked her why and mom said it's for his safety.' Jacob looks at Alphonce, he was laying on the couch on this time and staring at the ceiling, humming to himself.

'Is Alphonce going to be okay?' Stewart asked.

'He's going to be fine. Just remember what we told you, not a word to anybody, got it?' Jacob told Stewart. He petted his head and turn to look at Murdoc, 'You think Alphonce is stressing out that his powers are acting up?' He asked.

'Yes.' Murdoc told him. 'We best keep a careful watch on both. Come on, let's hurry and tell Kim.'

Jacob nods his head, but remember that Ms. Grose left after hearing the door bell ring. 'I want to see who was at the door.'

'Why?' Murdoc asked.

'She seem all too eager to see who was at the door. Let's go.' Jacob held Stewart's hand and grab Alphonce's hand too. They make their way to the front door. Ms. Grose was standing by in front of the closed door. She turned to face them, 'Well isn't anybody going to answer?'

Kim was coming to see, but saw that Ms. Grose was waiting by the door, before she could asked anything Ms. Grose interrupts her, 'It would be rude to leave a guest waiting.'

The door bell rung again and Kim walks pass Ms. Grose and opened the door. She stood frozen at who she saw standing before her. Alphonce let go of Jacob's hand and grabs Murdoc's leg. The person they saw, although cleaner and didn't stink much of booze, but it was him again smiling with a creepy grin on his face, Gregory had return to the flat. Alphonce was scare to death, he felt his heart beating fast, his throat was getting tight, and tears were running down his cheeks. There stood the monster he never wanted to see ever again. Ms. Grose, smugly, pushes past Kim, and allowed Gregory through the door. She clung to his arm, smiling even more smugly at the others staring in shock and disgust, and spoke out loud. 'It's about time you showed up. You had me worry that you stood me up.' She giggled.

Gregory looked around him. 'Well, well, well this place looks a bit better since the last time I lived here.' He commented.

'Yeah, this place is much better now because someone isn't littering beer bottles, crush cans, and throwing leftover food all over.' Jacob shouted back to him.

'Oh, my. Looks like good manners is something you don't know much about, genius boy.' Ms. Grose answered back. She turned her attention to Kim. 'I hope you don't mind, if Gregory joins us and it's better this way. After all it's fair that he sees how Alphonce is being taken care of and maybe share his thoughts whether he wants to give up becoming his guardian again.'

'Is that something a social worker does to her clients?' Kim asked her.

'But of course. Gregory is also a candidate. People deserve second changes. Maybe after dinner I might change my mind or Gregory can take back Alphonce.' Ms. Grose answered back.

'No way that's legal!' Jacob shouted again. 'Mom, this is crazy, she can't be serious about this and Gregory has got to behind this!'

'Oh, well then maybe I should call back and let the judge to see how much Gregory changed and hear about how your 'genius' boy is misbehaving? He's still underage and that means he can be taken away where he won't cause any trouble for anyone else.' Ms. Grose pointed out.

'What?' Jacob screamed.

'Jacob, please.' Kim pleaded with him. 'There's no way she can do what she's claiming can happen, but there's proof saying she can't. Let's just hold out until dinner is over. Even if she doesn't change her mind, I'm not afraid to fight this over court again, and when the others come back they'll help whatever they can.'

'But, mom.' Jacob begged.

'Now, hold on.' Murdoc talked back, 'I like to see how this goes too. If they try anything funny.' He cracks his knuckles, 'I'll handle them myself.' He smugly smirks at Gregory who only smiled back.

Jacob frowned and grabs Murdoc by the arm, back the living room. 'You can't seriously let this happen. You just said she's up to something and Gregory showing up is something we can't allow.' He told him.

'I know. You see what I'm talking about? That woman is up to something and we got to stop whatever it is or just kick them out.' Murdoc agrees with him.

'Mom, doesn't look like she understands what's happening. Dad, she's got to call the police and get them out of the house.' Jacob suggested.

'Dad?' They stood frozen to look down to see Alphonce still cling to Murdoc's leg. 'Why you called him, dad? He's not our dad.' Alphonce told Jacob.

Jacob flinched and tries to change the subject, 'What I mean is...um, he's...'

Alphonce interrupts him, 'He's not daddy! He's a smelly fishing man!' His eyes turned red again.

'Then why are you still clinging to my leg then son?' Murdoc playfully asked him.

Alphonce lets go and backs away from him. 'I was going to let go, but you started to walk away.' He told them. He runs away from them and hurries to Kim. He clung to her. She felt him shaking.

'I don't want him here.' Alphonce told her.

'I know I said there will be no more surprise, but I'm sure things will get better.' Kim hoped.

She held Alphonce's hand and lead him to the dinning room where dinner was set on the table. Gregory and Ms. Grose sat next to each other. They were sipping new glasses of wine Kim had poured for them. 'Is the wine to your standards now, Ms. Grose?' Kim sarcastically asked her.

'Much, better. Leave the bottle dear.' Kim left the bottle with her rude guests. Ms. Grose made one more cunning remark towards Kim, 'I can see why you were hired as a servant by your husband when he was your boss. You're just perfect to serve others to their needs.'

Kim inhales and exhales slowly. Her fists were tightening. She wanted to hit her so badly. Never in her life have she met anyone so stupid and rude at the same time. She was ordering and demanding Kim like it was her flat and had to be served by everyone while she sits and lazes around. Murdoc saw that Kim was ready to spit back, but was biting her tongue. Kim focus her attention on Alphonce.

'My, my what a feast you've cooked for everyone. I guess you're trying to show off your domesticated skills as a housewife?' Gregory commented.

'Cooking is a non-gender skill. Anyone that can boil water or read cook books can make a dish that's edible.' Kim argued back.

'Oh, that's good. When your genius son is done with college he might get a job as fast food cook or a house keeper.' Ms. Grose laughed. Kim guess she was already getting drunk after taking another glass of wine and pouring another glassful.

Jacob stood up from his seat, but Kim stopped him from speaking and served him his dinner. She did the same with Alphonce and Stewart, sitting next to each other. Murdoc was sitting next to Jacob. He kept his eyes on them, laughing, eating and drinking on the other side of the table.

Jacob whispers to Kim, 'Mom, Shamus and I you have to call the police right now. You can't just let them get away saying whatever they want to you.'

Kim whispers to Jacob, 'I told you, Jacob. For Alphonce's safety I must play the role as a good host and they're my guests.'

'Mom, this can't how social workers or child service people do their jobs. We need to call the police.' Jacob argues back. 'Gregory might look clean and well dressed now, but it's all an act.'

'You don't need the cops. I'll just beat them out without backup.' Murdoc joked.

'You? I'm mad at you at the moment, since now you're playing the part of my 'fiance'. Kim reminded him. 'I think it's best you just sit and try not to say anything that could cause me the most important promise I made to my late husband.' She turns to Jacob, 'I know they're acting and I really want to kick them out, but if they put in all this effort into this crazy plan, who isn't to say what they might do outside?'

Murdoc slings away and thought to himself, why didn't he just tell everyone the truth or why didn't he just told Kim during that hot night? He really wanted to kick himself for holding back the truth. His son hates him. He's already wasted enough time trying to lay low up to this point. 'I really messed up, big time.' He thought. 'Jacob was right. I shouldn't have just come here and pretend everything was fine. They needed me and here I am being a total coward.' He looks at Kim.

'I can't believe she still remembers the promise I made her keep.' He sighs heavily. 'I dragged her down this route and here she is trying to save something only because I told her to do it for me.' He bit his lips. 'How could she be that stubborn?! I'm dead, Kim! You shouldn't be forcing yourself to do this for some dead guy. I mean I'm not really dead, I'm...just a dead beat.' He stared at the plate of food Kim served to him. He ate slowly and stayed quiet throughout the whole dinner.

Jacob pleads to Kim again, 'Mom, please. You can't just stay quiet and serve them with a smile.'

'Jacob, I'm not in a good place right now.' She answers softly. 'You see before coming here, I was let go from my job.'

'Mom, why didn't you say anything?' Jacob asked. 'You waited until now to tell me?'

'Jacob, please don't stress out, it's not good for your health.' Kim told him.

'My health is the last thing I want to know, mom. Just why didn't you tell me? Do the others know?' Jacob asked.

Kim nods her head and answered, 'They do know, but I'll get another job soon.'

'But why were you let go?' Jacob asked next.

Kim sighed, 'The bully's mother seem to be friends with someone from my job and told the boss that because of what happened at Alphonce's school I somehow made their company look bad. So the only way they thought it might be best was to let me go.'

'Everything alright in there?' Ms. Grose shouted. 'I must say, the food's not half bad!' She laughed drunkenly as she pours herself and Gregory another glass. The bottle was empty. 'And maybe another bottle too?'

Kim got up, but Jacob stopped her this time. 'I got this.' He whispers to her. 'I doubt the first bottle you opened for her wouldn't make her sick at all.'

Kim thanked him and allowed Jacob to get the bottle. Just like he said Ms. Grose greedily took it from him and poured another glassful. He watched with delight to see how happily Ms. Grose nearly swallowed the whole thing down her throat.

After a while and few more rude comments spitted from Gregory and Ms. Grose, dinner was finally over and like Jacob and Murdoc thought, Ms. Grose was too busy finishing her wine. She just got drunk and laughed at nothing. Kim got up to clear the table, but Murdoc stopped her this time and took the dishes away from her.

'Let me help, okay?' He asked as he collected the others' plates. He was carrying a lot and didn't see Gregory's foot sticking out from below. Murdoc fell and every plate smashed to the floor. Everyone was staring at him. Murdoc's hand was cut from a broken piece and was bleeding. He apologizes and hurries to the kitchen to clean his cut. Jacob followed after him.

'He's quite a clumsy person if he can't carry a few plates.' Gregory spoke at last. He was being very quiet through dinner. He only talk to make another insult towards the others. 'You sure he'll be a good father? I mean I might have gotten drunk and throw a few plates, but I never tripped on my feet.' He laughed.

Meanwhile Jacob was checking on Murdoc. He was standing over the sink with the water running. 'You okay dad?'

'No, I'm idiot.' Murdoc mumbled. He spoke louder for Jacob to hear better, 'You were right. I should have just told everyone the truth from the beginning and we wouldn't be in this mess. Kim wouldn't be facing those troublemakers alone and the others would have probably stayed put instead of driving off. It's been hours where the hell are they?!' He added, 'I've already made a mess of things and I won't allow them to make the same mistake by not showing up!'

'No, dad. I know it's weird they haven't come back and that makes me worry, but we need to call the police. I saw what happened. He tripped you. Gregory wants revenge on us for kicking him out after getting him drunk to sign away his guardianship, but we had good reasons. Sure, he's all dressed up and sober, but it's all an act. He's still the same rotten person on the inside.' Jacob told him. 'That woman is drunk and getting more aggressive, we can use that to get her arrested and the police will dig around for her real identity.'

Murdoc hung his head and spoke softly, 'Then, what? I tell everyone the truth and hope they forgive me?'

'Yes.' Jacob answered. 'Dad, Mom's been doing all this for you. Don't leave her like this.'

'Jacob, I don't know if I can just say. 'Hi, honey, this is Murdoc Niccals, your dead husband, not really dead, back from the grave and is here to save the day. So please forgive me for all the years of you and the others suffered. I'm sorry for leaving you with the some debts, raising our son, and dealing with shady people threatening to tear us a part, but now that I'm back it's all well and good.' Murdoc proudly announced.

Jacob was about to say something until the sudden crashing sound of glass and plates hitting the hard floor stopped him. Murdoc shut his mouth but his jaw dropped. Jacob quickly turn to see Kim standing there. 'What did you just say?' She asked stuttering a bit.

The secret was out. They were caught. Kim had heard Murdoc's confession.

((Heads up a minor violence scene is coming up.))

'Love, please just hear me out.' Murdoc walks towards her, but Kim moves away from him.

'No, no! Please tell me that it's not true! You're not him!' Kim shouted.

'Mom, it's true.' Jacob told her.

Kim grabs a plate on the rack and threw it at Murdoc. Lucky for him it missed and smashed against the wall. 'You! You!' She screamed. 'I can't believe you were lying to me! I knew something was off about you!'

'Look, I know it was wrong but you don't know what I've been through!' Murdoc argued.

'What you've been through? That's so like you making excuses to save yourself!' Kim shouts back. 'What the hell were you thinking? Coming back, act all flirty with me, and then what? You just leave us?'

'No! I was going to tell you, honestly I was going to do that.' Murdoc tried to reason with her, but Kim didn't want to hear him.

'I can't believe this. I won't believe this! Right now you're dead to me again!' She tried to jump him but Jacob stopped her. She was ready to beat up Murdoc on the spot. Murdoc was trying to talking but Kim only shouted back. Jacob had to get in-between Murdoc and Kim. He was trying to speak up but Murdoc and Kim were too loud to hear him say anything. They stopped when Stewart came running towards them screaming for help. 'They're trying to take Alphonce!'

Kim and Murdoc stopped yelling and ran out of the kitchen and caught Ms. Grose trying to hold on to Alphonce. He was screaming and crying. Gregory was shouting at her to make Alphonce quiet, but Ms. Grose was too drunk and dropped Alphonce. He got up to escape but Gregory got him instead. This set off Alphonce's final nerve and he let out a loud scream. His hair spiked up, his eyes turned bright red, and his teeth got sharp. He bite down hard on Gregory's arm. He yelled and starts beating Alphonce to let go, but he didn't want to go.

'Stop that!' Murdoc screamed and charges at Gregory. He punched him hard on the face. Alphonce let go of Gregory's arm and crawling on four Alphonce hissed and growled at watching Gregory and Murdoc fighting each other. Jacob and Kim held down Ms. Grose even as a total drunk she wasn't going down without a fight. She was kicking and screaming. Murdoc grabs Gregory and kept beating him up. Gregory was getting bruised but he almost seem like Murdoc's fist had no effect on him. Finally the door open and the other bandmates saw Murdoc beating Gregory and knew a lot happened while they were gone. Russel grabs Gregory and gave him a few hard punches on the gut. 2D and Noodle helped Kim and Jacob with Ms. Grose but she got away and ran away with Gregory after Murdoc tossed him out. They ran away.

Russel turned to Murdoc, still thinking he's Shamus and asked, 'What the heck happened here?!'

Jacob told them about how Ms. Grose was working with Gregory and tried to kidnapped Alphonce. However they turned to see Alphonce wasn't changing back. He was still hissing and growling at everyone. He was glaring at Murdoc. Jacob knew he was going to attack him. 'Alphonce, stop!'

Alphonce jumps on Murdoc and tried to claw at him. He might have been stronger but he was still a child so Murdoc can keep him away. Alphonce was struggling in his grip.

'Alphonce, stop it's dad. Remember? Dad? He's back!' Jacob told him.

The others were shock except for Kim, she tried to calm Alphonce down, 'Alphonce, honey. I know it's odd but it is your dad. Stop this please!' She held him in her arms. Alphonce was moving but he seem to know it was Kim holding him and tried not to hit her. He shrunk himself and slipped out her arms and again jumps Murdoc.

'Right! That's it!' Murdoc screamed holding Alphonce back. 'Son, it's time you see who you're clawing at!' Murdoc hugged Alphonce. Alphonce growled and tried to move his arms but in Murdoc's grasp he couldn't free his arms. 'Alphonce, don't you remember me? It's daddy. Remember those days when I held you everytime you got a nightmare or woke up crying wanting to be feed as a baby? I know you saw what happened to me and I'm back, now. Daddy's back son.' Murdoc moves his shaggy hair from his face to see his mismatched eyes and crooked nose. Alphonce got quiet and his growling soon turned into sounds of crying. He found his voice to speak, 'Daddy?'

'Yes, that's right. It's daddy.' Murdoc smiled at him. Alphonce cried and hugged Murdoc back. Murdoc sighed, 'I'm sorry for leaving you.' Murdoc held Alphonce and ran his hand over Alphonce's rough hair until it slowly turned back to it's soft texture.

Alphonce kept crying and repeated himself, 'I knew you were still alive!'

While this was happening Ms. Grose was with Gregory resting in an dark ally. 'Well that plan blew up. What now?' She asked Gregory. She turned to see him facing away from her and was staring into the back ally darkness. He didn't say anything.

Ms. Grose was annoyed, 'Hey! You said you'd handle this. We get the kid, hold him for ransom, and make our getaway. Come on, you've been acting weird all month. You didn't even talk much during dinner. You just sat there like a bum. Gregory!' She shouted to get his attention, but Gregory started to walk deeper into the darkness.

'Gregory!' Ms. Grose screamed at him again. She took off her shoes and followed him, 'Hey, talk to me!'

Suddenly she felt something cold and slippery wrap around her body. She was still drunk and thought she was seeing things. 'Gregory?' She talk to the darkness, she couldn't see anything, not even the light from the streetlights. 'Hey, what are you?' Her mouth was shut and then she was gone. The only person that came out was Gregory, an eerie smog was surrounding him, and in a deep raspy voice he spoke to himself, 'Don't worry Gregory I haven't forgotten our deal. You want revenge on all of them and you'd help me find the person I've been chasing. It was dumb luck that he was there with them. Now I know where the kid and his dad are hiding out. I'm going to get what I deserve, I mean we.' He laughed and walked away to hide out until his next attack.
