Greeting: Good day, everybody. Today's chapter will tell us more about Shadow's fate. Rachel and Faith will be here too. Enjoy!

( Eclipse and some kids. In their cage)

The kids watched as Eclipse collapsed to the floor.
He was in a different cage than before. These kids in there were more talkative and less insane.
The wolf was sobbing and his anger had run out. The children backed away to the opposite side which was not that far away.
Eclipse was a monster in their eyes.
" Why did you kill your friend?", one girl asked him, whispering.
There was no monster guarding them and they were higher than the previous kids had been.
Eclipse raised his head and the sobbing stopped.
" I had to. Someone else would have gotten hurt if that hadn't happened", he told the girl.
" But he was your friend. My favorite wolf told me that he would never hurt anyone. He was so kind", the girl sobbed when she said it.
Her entire childhood had been destroyed but she was quite old.
Eclipse wanted to say something but instead he said nothing.
" He was telling you the truth. We love you and would never hurt you.
All those, that have fought down there, have done it to protect you", Eclipse sighed.
The rest of the kids shook their heads and were scared of Eclipse. He would have wanted to tell them the truth but it was too dangerous.
He just had to buy time.
" Cheer up, kiddies. We can't give up now. I know they have broken our spirit but they haven't broken us.
You kids are wonderful and these monsters are scared of that. They are scared of you", Eclipse told them.
That caught their attention.
" They aren't afraid of us, they are monsters. We are the ones, scared", one boy told Eclipse who shook his head.
" I know, you are afraid. I am too. We are in a cage, cold and scared. It seems like everything is gone but it's not. I am still me.
I just had to hurt Shadow so none of you got hurt", Eclipse tried to explain.
" Have faith, kids. We will be saved soon. In one way or another, we are getting out of here", he promised them.
He looked up at the sky and saw a silhouette. Eclipse smiled at it because it was his beloved dragon.

Faith was flying just outside the pit and her tiny passenger was sitting on her back. Sadly, Faith couldn't see Eclipse in the cage.
" No sign of them, Rachel. What has happened to my Eclipse? Hopefully they are not...dead", Faith was grinning so much her teeth almost broke.
Rachel was close to Faith's neck and peered over the edge.
" They are caught, I just know it. If so, let's be careful; those things might know we are up here", Rachel told Faith.
The dragon nodded to her, she understood it as well. If the males were caught, the monsters would have their eyes looking at everything.

On the ground, Eclipse wondered if he should call for Faith. That would be risky but it was a way out.
Shadow gone, Eclipse didn't have to worry about him. The kids were safe for the time being, at least some of them.
Eclipse could only hope that once the animatronics saved some kids, the beasts wouldn't kill the others.
Eclipse chose to call for his kind pet despite the danger.
" Faith! Can you hear me? If you hear me, know that I am in a cage. I'm fine but I need your help to get out.
Watch out for those monsters", he called out in his head aware that some beast might catch the message.
Faith heard it and told Rachel about it.
" You heard him? Geez! How are we suppose to help them get out? We are just a dragon and a freaking rabbit!", Rachel asked her.
Faith chuckled.
" Bonnie is a rabbit too and she has saved her friends so many times", Faith told Rachel.
The bunny rolled her eyes.
" Well, I am not Bonnie", Rachel sighed.
" Have faith", Faith smiled.
Rachel wasn't amused.
" I hate puns during serious situations", she thought.

Faith talked to Eclipse a bit and asked if he was wounded.
" I am perfectly fine, Faith", he answered her.
" And Shadow? Where is he?", Faith asked him then.
" The beasts might be listening to us. All I can say is that he is dead", Eclipse told her and wished she would get it.
Faith was shocked but then she realized something.
" Why would it be dangerous to tell me that Shadow's dead?", Faith thought.
The beasts wouldn't think about that but Faith did.
" Well. Let's forget him then. Hang on, deary. We will do something about this", Faith told Eclipse.
Rachel asked what Faith and Eclipse were talking about. Faith started to make up a rescue plan of some sorts.
Eclipse kept on comforting the kids and thought about Shadow. He was also smirking.
" Hope he makes it to the ride. Wouldn't want to leave him here", Eclipse thought privately.

( Shadow. In darkness)

He was in a huge space that was filled with nothing. He had woken up in there just a second before.
To be honest, he had expected death to be colder and less painful. His entire body was aching and it was very uncomfortable.
Death was quite an experience. There was no light, no dead friends, telling you that they had missed you.
Shadow felt as if he was being massaged. Weird bumps were moving across his back.
His arm was hurting and there was a lot of noise in the darkness. He couldn't move but that was because he had no body.
He was nothing more than a soul at that point.
" Wait a minute! How can I feel my body then?", he realized suddenly.

Shadow woke up from his slight slumber and got his bearings back.
He allowed his eyes to heal.
He also let his blood fix his ears so he could hear properly.
" This one looks tough", someone said.
" Too fat to be tough. So juicy", something else said to it.
" Fat? Since when?", Shadow got angry.
He tried to move but couldn't. His eyes healed so he could see again.
One of Eclipse's hits had broken his ability to see, probably the last one to the head.
Shadow could see the dark sky and the lights of the pit.
Two monsters were dragging him to where the dead were taken.
" I am not dead. My body is completely broken but I can still think. How did Eclipse do that?", Shadow thought.
The monsters could have never guessed that Shadow wasn't dead for real. He could have healed himself at any time.
" Eclipse, you sneaky bugger. I knew you would never kill me", Shadow would have smiled if his mouth had worked.

He chose to wait for the monsters to leave him be.
Then he would heal himself and start working on a plan to save Eclipse.
If he healed right then and attacked the monsters, the entire pit would know that he wasn't dead.
That wolf had been very smart.
Eclipse had known that Shadow would be dumbed somewhere so he had paralysed Shadow's body completely.
He had gained back the element of surprise.
" Eclipse is a smart guy. You taught him well, Luna", Shadow thought by himself.
The monsters were talking like they were dragging him somewhere to be eaten. Hopefully not or else Shadow would be in trouble.

There were more hills on the other side. Shadow felt the surface tilt to the other direction, he was now being dragged downhill.
Eclipse had done pretty good job with Shadow's body. Shadow would have never been able to stay that still when being dragged.
One of the monsters let go of him and turned back.
" Just throw him away and come back. I can smell more death in the air", the monster told its friend.
The bigger monster picked Shadow up and the fox could see more. He was lying on its left shoulder and his head was facing the front.
That was convenient for Shadow since he could now see where he was going.
There wasn't much downhill compared to how high the hill had looked from the other side. There was a wasteland of some sorts at the bottom of the hill.
It was rather black and weird looking. Shadow realized that his vision wasn't okay yet.
Then he tried to heal only the systems that were about his eyes. He wished the monster wouldn't be able to see him moving his eyes.
Shadow healed the system that controlled his eyes' color sensors.
The last hit in the head had messed him up badly. He was color blind but not for long.
As the colors came back, Shadow noticed that the wasteland was very colorful.
There was blue, green, orange, magenta, turquoise and many other colors.

Shadow peered at the wasteland and realized what he was seeing.
" Oh dear god", he thought when his eyes were looking at the bodies.
There were corpses of animatronics everywhere. It looked like a second pit that had been filled with corpses.
He doubted that the second pit was completely filled with corpses though. The animatronics were merely the most recent layer of trash.
" This used to be a landfill!", Shadow realized.
That explained why the other pit had had trash everywhere. That other pit had been dug since this old one was getting full.
The end of the world had arrived and that other one had never gotten to be used.
Luckily, the monsters had found other uses for it. The luck part was debatable though.
The monster walked to the edge of the landfill and chuckled.
" Have fun with your new friends, animatronic", it laughed and threw Shadow in.
The landing was uncomfortable but the corpses softened it. Shadow fell into a hole between two corpses and his head sustained more damage.
For a second he couldn't see anything.

" I'm done. Heal me, body! And quite fast!", Shadow had had enough.
He got his abilities back and was able to move again. He was in a hole, among the corpses and trash so no one could have seen him.
" There we go. Much better", Shadow shook his head.
He had said that out loud, which he was very happy about. Then he suddenly realized that he was lying on top of a corpse that belonged to a chicken.
Shadow got up quickly, letting out a yelp of surprise. The chicken was without a lower body and its beak and eyes were open.
It looked like Chica except that it had hair.
" Poor thing. Gosh. Definitely not a fighter", Shadow looked away.
The chicken had died with a scream of pain on its face. Shadow had to go back to his friends but first he had to deal with the chicken.
He closed its eyes and beak. The chicken looked more peaceful then.
All he now needed was something to cover the missing lower body. Luckily, there was a blanket nearby and Shadow picked it up.
He wiped the dirt away with his hand and placed it over the chicken's body. Now it looked like it was just sleeping peacefully.
" Rest in peace, chicken that I never had the privilege to know", Shadow patted its head.
He felt better after that so he could move on.

The ears and eyes peeked out of the hole and looked at the mess, around. Shadow was like darkness itself as he crawled out of the hole and went prone.
The corpses were noisy as he moved on them but he tried his best to take it slow.
If he saw anyone, he would lie down and stay still. There was no need to be consumed by shadows right then.
He moved slowly and wondered if he ever made it out.
" Just keep on moving and don't get spotted. Stealth mode", Shadow kept on repeating himself.
The lights were still shining on the sky and the noise was loud. Shadow reached the middle point and suddenly heard a voice, coming around a big rock.
It was familiar and reminded Shadow of the Grayson hill.
" There should be at least a hundred of them. It is impossible to know for sure", the chief beast was speaking to the one following it.
Its voice was still too delicate and aristocratic to sound right.
" It doesn't matter. As long as Master Black gets what he wants, everything's fine", a creepy voice told it.
They came around the rock and Shadow lay down, only peeking over the corpse, in front of him.
They wouldn't see him, he wouldn't let them. The other one was golden and a tiny bit see-through.
" Sirius! What is that bloody Phantom doing here?", Shadow grinned on the ground.
" We will deliver Master Elleroth his heart's desire. Both Masters will get it", the beast told Sirius.
There was another Phantom behind them but he stayed silent. It was a humble Phantom and walked like Okami had before Salazar and Baron had died.
" We shall see that now. Mistress Electra will be very upset if she doesn't get enough troops", Sirius warned.
" Mistress won't be upset. We found her a new toy. A Legend called Eclipse", the beast chuckled.
Shadow couldn't see Sirius' face very well but he was smiling definitely.
" I'll tell her the good news", was Sirius' short answer.
" Lord beast. If I may ask you this, you didn't hurt him, did you?", the other Phantom interrupted with an angry tone.
" He fought his friend but the wolf won as expected. The fox would have never won. We wouldn't have let him", the beast comforted the Phantom.

Shadow grinned for two reasons. That other Phantom was Dust, he recognized the voice.
Also, it was good that Shadow had been the one paralysed and not Eclipse.
If it had gone the other way around, the beasts would have stepped in and killed Shadow.
Eclipse's choice, as selfish as it might have seemed, had saved Shadow's life. And Eclipse's own as well quite possibly.

Sirius was very happy about it and Dust nodded, pleased.
" We are still planning on making him fight some other animatronics. Considering him being a Legend, the others won't stand a chance.
Think of it as training. Mistress only fights the strongest. And we know he will fight", the beast told the two Phantoms.
" Know what they love and fear and you can make them do anything", Sirius shook his head.
They reached the edge and stopped.
" Shall we wake them up now?", Dust suggested.
" They want it. Soon our forces are complete and the Fazbears will fall in the greatest battle that the Masters have seen", Sirius raised his hands in the air.

Shadow had no idea of what he was doing but that had answered Dust's question.
" Thank the Apocalypse witch. I am getting sick of playing around", Dust snorted.
Sirius started speaking in a foreign language and moving his arms around. His entire body began to glow as Black's power activated inside him.
Shadow didn't like it one tiny bit but he had to watch it. He was on the brink of discovering something unseen.
The corpses began to glow as well and Shadow's body was shaking.
Something had been put into Sirius by Black the cat. He was using that cat's power to create more Phantoms.
Golden figures rose from the corpses and their eyes shot open. The beast and Dust waited for Sirius to finish.
Shadow went against the ground so none of the Phantoms would see him.

Those Phantoms looked at Sirius as he finished the spell.
" Welcome, new recruits! Your time of awakening has come", Sirius announced.
" We greet you, lord, and accept your divine welcome", the Phantoms said simultaneously.
Shadow found it extremely creepy.
" We greet the divinity of this world and his creation, the Prince of Darkness", the Phantoms bowed.
Shadow saw the wolverine right beside him. Her corpse was on the ground and her spirit was the Phantom, above it.
But nothing had come out of a bunny, beside Shadow's feet. Sirius had probably come more than once, that spirit had been woken up earlier.
He waited for more animatronics to die and then came back to wake up more Phantoms.
" Come, my children. The destruction himself awaits you", Sirius said gracefully.
Dust came forward and Sirius continued.
" This is your general, Dust the wolf! He shall lead you into a glorious battle", he told the Phantoms.
The response was the loud cheer of an army. Then Sirius added something in a foreign language.
Shadow recalled it meaning the general of King Deagana's army. The Apocalypse witch was the King once again and Dust was his general of terror.
The Phantoms knelt down and greeted Dust who responded with a speech.
" Today, we have received you to fight for us. If you won't fail me, I will treat you as brothers and sisters.
And once we are equal, nothing can ever stop us!", Dust spoke in a victorious tone.
Electra had definitely been training him to act like a general. The Phantoms cheered once again and stood up.
" Now come. We have much to do", Sirius told the troops and then they all vanished.

Dust, Sirius, the wolverine! Everyone was gone except the beast witch.
He chuckled maniacally.
" It has been done, my Master. Hail the name of your family!", it said and walked away.
After a minute or two, Shadow realized that it was over and got out of the field of corpses.
" So that is what they have been doing. An invasion army, huh? The Masters really want to enjoy this", Shadow told himself.
That pit was definitely a slaughterhouse. Now Shadow also knew what it was for the enemy.
That landfill was a factory, manufacturing Phantoms and monsters. Based on the amount of corpses, they had been doing it for a while.
Who knew how many Phantoms Black the cat had.
Shadow imagined an army of Phantoms marching at the Fazbear's pizza with Electra and Dust at the front.
He, Eclipse, Rachel and Faith had to get out of there as soon as possible. They would take some kids with them but the rest would have to stay.
Despite that, Shadow was feeling good.
Something was telling him that the kids wouldn't have to suffer much longer. Death would be a release for them.
The end was near in one way or another. Right then, Shadow thought about the kids who would be left behind and die.
During awful times, the hardest part was not fighting for your own life but all those horrible choices you had to make.

But he had to move forward.
Shadow was consumed by the darkness as he snuck around. He knew that his silhouette was gone but he decided to stay away from beasts nonetheless.
Shadow wished that Eclipse and Rachel were alright. He couldn't have beared knowing that Eclipse had died or that Rachel had been torn apart.
" Please be alright, my friends. We have gotten so far. Let's not die now", he thought by himself.
There were a few monsters around and some he had to take out. The leader beast was still walking around the outskirts of the pit.
Shadow knew better than to take him out. Most monsters had to recharge in their spiritual form before they could possess a body again.
For that amount of time, they were out of the game...possibly.
Since that beast had torn its own heart out and come back instantly, Shadow thought it was different.
Beasts were peculiar cases as they may have possessed some special powers.
Some were faster, some could teleport while others were able to return almost instantly.

Shadow saw that there were a lot of tall rocks around so he tried to jump on those.
The monsters weren't able to see him luckily. Shadow jumped from rock to rock until he came over the hill and saw the pit in all of its glory.
" Eclipse", he thought instantly.
Eclipse was down there, fighting a yellow dog.
Shadow had come just in time to see Faith and Rachel's plan.
Suddenly, a huge explosion went off in the background and the whole pit went silent.
Eclipse and the yellow dog stopped and looked in that direction.
" Holy", Shadow let out as the monsters went there to check it out.
" We are under attack!", someone shouted and that made everyone go wild like when a bear hits a bees' hive.
Shadow saw the monsters and beasts forget Eclipse almost completely. He had no time to figure out what was going on.
He ran down the hill towards the arena. He went to save his friend while he still could.

Farewell: Thank you for reading. That is all for today.
After the next chapter, we will go check Leslie out. He really should hurry up.
Let's hope for the best! THE ONLY WAY TO LIVE IS TO WRITE.
