A Pick Up Line a day keeps a vampire Away (part 2)

Edythe POV

We had only been at Fork's for one whole week.

One week.

That's all. Nothing more. Nothing less. And it was now Monday and the hype has started up again with a newfound excitement and tension.

The first wave will begin.

Blimey, I'm still not imagining them.

I wonder what kind of skin and hair products they use. I could really use some.

Not very social, are they?

Hot damn gorgeous alright!

Sighs, Royal's name suits him incredibly well. He's fit for royalty. And I could be his queen.

The minds were fierce and blasting out at every angle and passing through my mind at rapid speed, that I didn't bother to follow it all and just tune it all out. It was only a matter of time before we bombarded with questions of upcoming dates and strangely enough but has happened many times before, marriage proposals.

Glancing over my shoulder at the crowd in the cafeteria, and catching a few eyes that quickly looked away abashed, I dreaded the moments we were each separated for classes and had to endure the irritable questions to befall us today.

High school was Hell.

Shaking, my head, I turned back to my uneaten tray of food, fiddling with the green apple stem and blowing a lock of bronze red hair out of my eyes. My siblings had their own but similar opinions on what will become the stressful week. The first week starting at a new school, we are new shiny toys; hot gossip, to be viewed and eyes and have the basic introductions and observe. Waiting for the moment to strike a conversation.

The second week, was the second wave but it hit harder.

Archie was calm and unaffected, not bothering to hide his affection for his wife, Jessamine, who in fact looked just as stressed. Her face tight, eyes trained and focused on her book which she read intently, while Archie rubbed her back, while leaning back on his cafeteria chair, humming lightly under his breath.

Royal was, well…Royal. He loved the attention but he hated when the questions presented themselves. In his mind, he didn't have time nor the care to deal with turning girls and the occasional guy down. But he had to and did it quickly and harshly. As pompous and high and mighty he could be, he preferred to keep any affection and attention for his raunchy and rambunctious wife, Eleanor.

And Eleanor, El as she tended to prefer, well, with the way she was grinning, arms crossed behind her head as she leant back on her chair and leaned against the wall, occasionally throwing a wink and smirk at the few people who dared to openly stare at our little group. Eleanor loved the attention and soaked it right up and enjoyed breaking hearts and there was always one victim amongst her fan club that she would tell them to go find me since I'm single and lonely (I could kill her for that).

As for me, I remained disgusted because while I had a gift that was a blessing it was also the source of my disdain and despair. I hated the thoughts I was always subjected to without choice. Listening to the vulgar, crude and even cruel thoughts, sometimes even having projected images in my head, made me somewhat bitter and a growing contempt and disdain for most.

I shudder, leaning in closer to the table as the bell rang, signalling end of break and time to return to class.

Goodluck and have fun

I rolled my eyes at Eleanor's obvious enthusiasm. Wish I had some of it.

I was one of the first to enter my English classroom, Jessamine ahead of me and she took a table at the back and sat down closer to the window and before I could join her after I dropped off my essay on the teachers desk, a male student stood at the seat next to Jessamine, unaware of the way she tensed slightly but kept her eyes straight ahead.

"Sorry gorgeous, but this seat ain't taken right?" He grinned down at her, while I groaned at the inferior line.

"If you take it, my seat will be empty." Jessamine bit back sharply, ignoring the boys stumped look while I slid in smoothly into my seat next to Jessamine and we both sat facing the front of the room.

Watching the boy walk to another empty desk as the classroom became fuller with students, and noticing the few looks thrown our way, I braced myself for the next hour or so of the onslaught of heinous thoughts and imagery.

Let it begin.

Eleanor POV

Hell yeah mamcita! Take a good look at these gorgeous guns ladies and gentlemen!

I smirked, walking out of the girls changeroom in the gym, appreciating all the looks thrown my way; the lustful and intimidated looks of the boys and girls.

Horn dogs all of them but that's okay! Take at look at this gorgeous gal! You only get to see perfection like this once in a lifetime.

The Fork's high gym shirt was a slight size smaller (made on purpose of course with a few extra in case) and clung to my body like a second skin, stretched tightly over my broad shoulders, the short sleeves tight over the guns, and the hem a slight bit too short and showing a slick of my flat, hard abs. The short, short black shorts showing off my wickedly long, powerful legs, which I showed off in a series of warm ups and stretches, pretending to not notice the eyes on me.

That's right! Enjoy the gun show!

I flexed my biceps, unashamed at my brazen cocky attitude but I know Royal would have a total kick of this.

While others started stretching and making conversation, and I started to squat, pretending to feel the strain like a human would.

I wonder if I should wear those new pair of lingerie and start squatting in the bedroom when Royal starts to walk in…hehehe oh yes mamcita you got it! Royal baby gonna go absolutely nuts for that-

"You squat here often?"

I stopped mid squat and glanced at my side as a tall, jock like fellow stood slightly behind me and not even trying to hide that he was glancing at my ass, before throwing me a cheeky grin.

"What a dumbass question." I mutter, shaking my head. I didn't mind the attention but at least give me something good. I continued my squatting, still aware pervy jock was still watching me squat and sticking my ass out a little further, while I snickered inwardly.

"You know girl, I think it's time I tell you what people are saying behind your back. Nice ass-aaah!" He jumped as I suddenly straightened and turned to him slightly, towering over him by half a head. He flinched back at my look and shaken and pale, he stumbled away while I watched, before turning away and started snickering loudly.

Them boys can't handle this booty!

Jessamine POV

"You're just loving life ain't ya?"

I glared at my beloved, feeling the humour and amusement surrounding him as he stood next to my locker. I rolled my eyes and opened my locker with a slight growl and swapping my books around for my next class.

"I dislike the questions. I can only imagine what Edythe is going through." I shuddered at the thought. I truly did not understand how she could deal with that daily. She must feel gross and disgusted after every day.

"And I also have to deal with Eleanor feeding the fire." I scowl at Archie who raise da brow slightly but he didn't have to ask.

"Your sister said you're a vegetarian?" The geeky boy in the class held up a camera who a bashful smile. "So, may I take your picture? It's for the World's Sexiest Vegan competition."

I clench my jaw as I glare at Archie who leans against my locker, his body trembling with laughter. I shake my head irritably at him.

"No. Just no." Not bothering to grace the boy with an answer except with a look that had him squirreling off in a beat. "Not only do we subject to the student bodies lustful desires but the pick-up lines are just as painful. It's pathetic. Besides," I shove my books in my bag, growling lowly as Archie watches with amusement. "Even though I'm a vegetarian, I still need my daily dose of meat and protein." I don't bother waiting to see his reaction as I walk past my mate, feeling the sudden shock, amusement and immediate lust.

"Damn you, Jess." I heard him mutter still at my locker and I couldn't help the quick grin on my face.
