I do not own Doctor who.
This is one of my first attempt on a classic Doctor who.
Hope you like it.
One Last Trip
By: Snake D'Morte
Sarah-Jane Smith could feel the end grow near and she was to be honest afraid, not just for herself but for Luke and Sky her two children how would they manage without her? She had already ordered Mr. Smith what to do when the time was in and she hope with her whole heart that they would manage, she know deep down that they would, they had Rani and Clyde to help them and K-9 too.
She looked out through the window and watch the stars out there, thinking back on all the things she had seen with the Doctor, her Doctor, her mad curly haired Doctor with his long scarf and that brilliant smile, how she missed him.
She must had fallen sleep because she woke up to a sound she hadn't thought she would hear ever again, with surprising powers she throw of her warm blanket and walk nearly ran up the stairs to the attic where the sound was coming from.
And there in the attic was the blue police box not the same as the last time she meet the Doctor, no this was the Tardis from her youth, was she still dreaming?
Sarah-Jane just stood there and stared at the phone box not daring to walk closer to it if it was just a dream and it would just go up in a cloud of smoke, she just couldn't bare it if that would happened.
She didn't know how long she stood there when the door open and there in the light from behind stood he, with the same mass of curly brown hair and big hat on top of it, he had his scarf wrapped around his neck just as she remembered him always having, and the smile was just as bright as always.
"Hello Sarah," He said with his deep voice
Sarah-Jane didn't know what to say, this was HER Doctor, the Doctor that swapped her away so many years ago, that took her on so many adventures.
So many memories filled her head that it took her a few seconds nearly a minute to reply.
"Hello Doctor," she said at last taking the first step towards him. "How can you be here?"
The Doctor smiled at her a warm smile and his eyes sparkled just like they use to do and still did.
"Can't I just visit?" He asked smiling
Sarah-Jane laughed and took another step towards him, then a thought struck her and she stopped.
"How can I be sure it is really you Doctor?" she asked "I have meet your two latest faces, how can you be here now?"
The Doctor just smile just as brilliant as before.
"Sarah, My Sarah always so smart," He said softly "It is really me, I have come to take you on one last trip. So what do you say? One last trip for old times' sake?"
Sarah-Jane took the few steps that was between her and her Doctor and put one of her hands on his face just to be sure that it really was him.
"Yes Doctor it is really you," She said softly before hugging him "And I would love one last trip with you through time and space."
The Doctor took Sarah-Jane's hand on his bigger one and they stepped in to the Tardis and it disappeared off for one last trip.
The End
A/N:
This was inspired by my gran when she died, and a theory my mom has that someone when it is your turn to have your last trip so to speak come to meet you and walk with you.
This is also in memory of Elizabeth Sladen (1946-2011)
