"Oh, the pain." Will mimicked to a tea the voice of his old friend. "The pain."

Abruptly the ship trembled from side to side. The young boy crashed to the floor them the machine shrieked across from him, waving his arms, as the ship was flailing about in space with a yelp. Robot motioned from the bridge then into the elevator car then the boy tagged along and caught onto the railing of the craft pausing in his tracks using the railing as the Jupiter 2 thrust aside with another round of laser strikes.

"Who is attacking the Jupiter 2?" The younger boy asked.

"Oh, um. . . ." The older Will started. "About that–"

"I will provide a means to change the course." Robot said then twirled toward the young boy. "Will, I require you to fire back at the attacking vessel."

"How?" The younger Will asked.

"There is a rocket launcher setting above the artificial gravity in between the console that has thankfully not been impacted by the alien time flux activator."

"I see it!"

"Fire!"

"Firing at will!"

"Good shot, Will."

"Take us to somewhere safe, Robot!"

"Plotting the course to a safer route." came the announcement. "Take this, punks!"

"Punks?" Will said.

Robot jerked the handle from side to side abruptly into a route of space that had a field of gray material and glass that was floating in space freely. Will looked toward Robot as the ship swung abruptly to the side staring with wide saucer sized eyes. Robot's left arm was left inside of his chassis while his right was taking care of business.

"And that! AND THIS! AND THAT! TAKE ALL THE SPAAACEEEEEE JUUNNNK!"

Will turned his attention on toward the view screen ahead as Robot performed the emergency moves.

"Fire, Will!"

Will pressed the button as the Jupiter 2 went sideways.

"Fired at will!" and a roar of laughter came over the comn.

Will watched as the rocket crashed against a rounded machine that exploded then so did a number of crafts following it and the Jupiter 2 leaned on the other side.

"We have damaged their ship, Robot!" Will announced with his heart racing. "They are practically sitting ducks!"

"Victory IS OURS, Will!" Robot slid out his left arm then waved his red claw in the air. "VICTORY! VIICCCTOOOOOOOOOOOORY!"

Will looked on toward the hammy machine, frightened, confused, his heart racing. He wasn't familiar to a machine acting very human and speaking full sentences; it was actually quite jarring compared to his alien friend Robot. Unexpectedly, laser blasts pounded against the Jupiter 2 coming from the distance. The machine was so simplistic and futuristic that Robot could have easily have been made on Earth with non-expensive material that could easily be found and mined and molded into what it needed to be.

"What do we do now?"

Robot's arm returned into his chassis

"According to the long range sensors there is a suitable planet nearby, I have set in the course but I will be required to maintain the course until we arrive down to the planet." Robot's reply was coming out calmly despite the frightening and unexpected attack being launched by a unknown opponent. "For the time being, I require you to go into stasis and remain there for the crash landing."

"Is it going to be okay?" Will asked.

"It will be." Robot replied.

"Sorry, I was away for a while." his older counterpart appeared on the screen. "Tell me what has happened so far."

"The Jupiter 2 is damaged and she is going to crash." Will said, keeping his cool in the face of the Jupiter 2 free falling with a console that he didn't have a idea how to operate.

For a brief moment, his older counterpart's eyes widened and a near whisper that sounded like "Shit." came from him and Robot pressed the rocket launcher button that took care of the oncoming laser blasts.

"How fast can you get to the lower decks and get buckled in to the crash couches?"

Will made a bolt for the freezing tube beside Smith then pressed on the button on the side. In a very bright gold light filled with smoke that illuminated around him and clouded him, the young boy became immobilized watching the view scree across from him as the inside of the strange ship became cloaked before his eyes in a sea of darkness as his eyes closed.

The boy was frozen in a uncertain sleep as the Jupiter 2 was tipping from side to side falling through the atmosphere without aim. Robot proceeded to attempt to find a suitable landing area on the planet for the crash with minutes passing and his processors working overtime to save what little of his designated family from certain death that he had almost brought upon them in the beginning instead.
