A white ship with a white flag depicting a red scythe was cruising on the waters. As the sailors were beginning a new day of work, one person stood out, their Captain.
A redhead with red eyes looked over the vast sea. Dressed in a white and blue uniform, preferring not to wear that stupid hat, he sighs, a bit tired.
This was L'Arc Berg, a prestigious and talented Naval Captain. He's stopped ruthless pirates from murdering and pillaging merchant ships, helped fight maritime wars, had caught many a foolish pirate dumb enough to challenge him.
But very few know he has only one loss that haunts him; L'Arc Berg had failed to win against nor capture the dreaded pirate Nao, rumored to have lived so long and seems to disappear with his knowledge of witchcraft.
"Sir! Reporting!" A blue-haired woman in uniform saluted to him, her short skirt fluttering in the wind, "There's been a sighting of him. Nao is back."
Therese, his First Mate and Vice-Captain, was one of the only people he trusted.
L'Arc narrows his eyes, a bit excited that he gets the chance to catch this elusive pirate and make up for his failure.
"Therese…we're going. We'll get him this time."
"Sir!" Therese saluted before going to inform the troops.
The moment L'Arc saw that ship with a green shield on its flag, he smirks excitedly. 'He's here.'
On the other ship, a black-haired man with green eyes, wearing a black uniform with a green cloak appeared. He smiles, 'He's here?'
When the ships were right beside each other and stopped, they meet again.
"Kiddo…you won't escape me this time," L'Arc smirks, knowing that this won't be easy.
"Captain L'Arc…I'd like to see you try," Nao smirks back.
Then the fighting began.
Magic and swords clashed, causing some explosions, damaging both ships.
After much fighting without any casualties, L'Arc finally has Nao in his grasp. He pins him down and cuffs Nao before carrying him back onto his ship.
Nao yells, "Go! I'll be fine!"
On his orders, Nao's ship abandons him…for now.
L'Arc decides to lock him up in the Captain's quarters, keeping an eye on him personally.
It's pretty comfy actually, especially since it was clean and has a comfy couch, which is rare on the seas. So Nao takes his time, not bothering to try to escape yet.
"Wha-what is the prisoner doing?!" Therese asks as she sees Nao helping with L'Arc's paperwork.
"I had to keep him entertained somehow. Plus, he insisted," L'Arc shrugs as he checks it over before putting it into the done pile. Nao seems content with busywork, so Therese sighs, shaking her head before leaving them tea and snacks.
When it's time to turn in for the night, L'Arc carries Nao to his room before dumping him into the bed. Then he chains him to the bed frame so he can't escape without making noise. Nao glares at him while L'Arc smirks.
"Really? I never thought you were into this kind of thing," Nao raises an eyebrow.
L'Arc laughs, knowing what Nao's implying, "I wouldn't mind doing it, but not tonight Kiddo."
L'Arc presses Nao down, holding him in his arms while they sleep. To prevent his escape, of course. Not because of any ulterior motives. Maybe…
Nao blinks before falling asleep as it's a rare thing to have an actual bed or a person to sleep with. It's warm.
The next morning, L'Arc wakes up to a still sleeping Nao. 'I prefer him asleep like this. So peaceful, and so cute.'
L'Arc quietly gets out of bed and gets breakfast. Nao yawns when he wakes up before L'Arc gives him his share...before he realizes he just slept with his enemy, blushing.
Of course, L'Arc pays it no mind as he's too busy eating.
Fortunately, the ship cat is a good distraction. "Nya!"
"Aw~! Aren't you cute~" Nao coos as he pets the cat, whose main job is to catch rats and mice.
The cat purrs as Nao scratches under its chin.
"That's Bell," L'Arc explains, "It's unusual for him to be this friendly with strangers though."
"Well, he's a sweetie," Nao smiles as picks up Bell before putting him on his lap and petting him.
Hearing Bell purr, L'Arc smiles. Then, he went to work, dragging Nao to his office as Bell went on patrol below deck.
As L'Arc takes a break from his dreaded paperwork, he asks Nao, "Is your crew planning an ambush to get you back?"
Nao just smiles, "Maybe...maybe not."
L'Arc just glares at him, before huffing and going back to work.
