Epilogue

"Kurt, Ama and Va have something to tell you," I told my son, pulling him into my lap to cuddle with Erik and me on our sofa. He looked up at me with his characteristic head tilt to let me know he was listening. The cuteness of it all nearly brought me to tears, but I shoved them back ruthlessly. I was getting rather a lot of practice at that lately, unfortunately. "Baby, Ama is going to have, well, another baby. You're going to be a big brother!"

"Baby?" he asked, sounding confused.

"Yes, baby, good job!" Erik said happily. He had been ecstatic since I'd told him about our new baby, since we'd both wanted more children, and it hadn't abated in the month or so since. It was absolutely adorable. "You'll be a big brother, just like Hank is the big brother to Alex and Sean. You get to teach our baby so much! And we'll help Ama when she's not feeling well."

"Which is going to be a lot, because I'm starving," I moaned, feeling the hunger pangs that were becoming far too familiar. They were, after all, what had first clued me into what was going on with me.

"Again?" Erik asked me, even as he went to the kitchen in our recently finished cottage. "You just ate an hour ago."

"This baby is stealing my energy faster than my powers can regenerate it. I'm just glad Alex is here so I can steal some of his energy."

He came back with a loaf of bread and a hunk of cheese. "Too bad we can't simply plug you into the wall," he teased me, then caught the hunk of bread I chucked at his head. "Now, Kurt, we know better than to throw food, don't we?"

Kurt nodded with a giggle, while I scowled. "I'm carrying your child. I refuse to let you shame me," I retorted grumpily, but only to hide the smile that was threatening.

A knock at the door saved him. Hank had come for my daily checkup, since he was worried about me, given what had happened with both my mother and grandmother. And Charles, surprisingly, came with. He stayed quiet throughout the exam, other than cheerful greetings to all of us, though he clearly had something to say. But he refused to speak until Hank was satisfied of my current healthful state.

"Alright, Charles, we all know you're dying to say something," Erik said, kicking his best friend's ankle lightly. "What is it?"

Charles attempted an enigmatic look, but his grin broke through. "I heard the baby's mind this morning," he gushed.

Tears sprang to my eyes, and this time, I couldn't push them back. "You heard our baby," came squeaking out of my mouth, and I clutched at Erik's hand. The one that had landed protectively on my belly.

Charles beamed. "I heard your babies," he corrected happily.

I stared blankly at him. Surely, I hadn't heard him correctly. "Babies?" Erik whispered, pulling me closer to him.

"Babies," Charles confirmed with a nod. "You're having twins!"

Unexpectedly, Hank laughed. "Well, that would explain how drained you've been already, B. You're growing two babies!"

"Twins," I said weakly, very shocked. "Twins. Are you sure?" I asked Charles.

He nodded confidently. "Absolutely. There are two very distinct consciousnesses. And they are very happy, both of them."

Erik rubbed my belly, even though it was still flat. "Did you hear that, schatzi? Our babies are happy," he whispered, nuzzling my ear with his nose.

More tears spilled out. "And we're going to keep them that way," I vowed. "They'll stay happy."

"Ama!" Wanda cried, burrowing herself into my lap, even around my ever-growing belly. "Boys are mean!"

I smoothed her hair from out of her face, but her Va answered before I could, pulling her into his lap. "Just keep thinking that for the next thirty years or so, Liebling," he laughed, which only made me snort in response.

"She's my daughter. That's not going to happen," I assured him, then turned back to our four-year-old. "What happened, piccola?"

"Pietro and Kurt are racing, and I can't keep up," she pouted.

I grinned and whispered mischievously, "Well, if they're using their powers, who said you can't use yours?"

Her eyes got big, and she scampered off Erik's lap, tearing after her brothers. The familiar red glow of her power shot ahead of her, freezing Kurt and Pietro in their places. "I love our children," I sighed and leaned into Erik's side, "but this one is the last one. Lorna is trying to kill me, and even when I'm not pregnant, those three run me ragged."

"Whatever you want, schatzi," Erik assured, pressing kisses to my head. "You're the one who has to carry the babies, anyway. And I think our family is perfect with our current children. But we're not naming our daughter after a fictional character."

"I'm the one carrying the baby, remember?" I growled, echoing his previous words.

"Still not naming her after Lorna Doone."

"We'll see."

"Lorna Lensherr, do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?" Charles asked, a happy smile on his face, and I couldn't help the trickle of tears at the sight of my baby girl looking so resplendent.

She beamed up at Marcos. "I do!"

"Then, by the power vested in me by the state of New York, I pronounce you man and wife," he said. "You may now-"

But my little girl had never waited on a man to tell her she could or could not do something, so she surged forward and caught Marcos in a tight embrace. They kissed for a long moment, until Erik cleared his throat. Loudly. "You have no room to talk, Vati," she said, barely pulling back to shoot that retort to her father before kissing her new husband again.

Amidst the chuckles, I grinned. "You know, she has a point," I told Erik. He simply kissed me and proved my point.

Charles, Erik, and I were in our usual weekly planning meeting when the door to Charles's office opened. "Professor? Bianca?"

We all turned to see Logan in the doorway. "Logan, don't you have a class to teach?" Charles asked the question that was on all our minds.

"A class to teach?"

"Your Modern History class for the juniors," I reminded, an eyebrow quirked.

"History?" he repeated, and instantly, I knew what he meant. "I could actually use some help with everything after 1969."

Charles and Erik both gasped lightly, understanding immediately what he had meant. "I'm guessing you were a little surprised waking up with Kayla next to you," Erik joked.

"I may have jumped out of bed," Logan agreed with a little smirk.

"Flowers and wine will go a long way to make up for it," I told him, with a smirk of my own. "And a good explanation."

He nodded, then sobered. "Will you fill me in on what I've missed?"

Erik, Charles, and I shared a glance. "Where to begin?" I wondered.

"You can start by explaining the Cajun hanging on Rogue this morning," he grumped, making the rest of us laugh.

"I assure you that you do actually get along with Remy, though it did take a while to get there at first," I told him. "Now, it looks like we have a long way to go to explain everything. Come sit."

AN: And that's all, folks! I had a lot of fun with Bianca, even if I did have to take some time off with her. She was a really fun character to dig into, and I hope you had as much fun reading her story as I did writing it. And with this epilogue, I had a lot of fun twisting canon to fit my needs. It made me very happy to realize that Pietro is Italian for Peter, so (in my head) Erik got to name one twin and Bianca the other. Lorna Dane is the name of Magneto's other child in the comics, and I don't know if it was intentional, but it's always reminded me of Lorna Doone, which was one of my dad's favorite books, so that was a fun little nod to him. Marcos was a new character in the show The Gifted, and he and Lorna were romantically involved there, so it made sense to put them together here. I did briefly consider having Scott Summers be Lotta and Alex's son, and then having Scott and Lorna get together, since in the comics, Alex and Lorna get together, but then I remembered that Lotta and Bianca are cousins and that's just gross. It's great when you forget your own characters' family trees! And I had to put Remy and Rogue together. They are seriously my X-Men OTP. I will go down with this ship! Anywho, if you've actually made it to the end of this horrendously long note, thanks for sticking with me and Bianca, even with unplanned absences. I hope you enjoyed it!
