"NO!" She said while walking out

Nate and Serena were on their date. However, a few hours before their date, Serena found out that Nate had cheated on her. The man she loved had cheated on her. It was a thought she couldn't wrap around her head because they were trying this time. They were going to make their fantasies a reality, well I guess not, she thought to herself.

As she was headed to her limo, Nate grabbed her arm.

"Let me go Nate! Let me go before I say something I regret" As she turned around to face him, with a look of betrayal, hurt, and regret

"Serena, let me explain" He pleaded

She took her from him and glared at him "Explain what? That it was a mistake? That it was a one time thing? That you love me? Cut the bull shit, Nate. You lied to me. You cheated on me. You broke your promise" She said the last part softly, remembering their promise to each other when they were kids.

"Serena, please! I was drunk and I missed you so-"

"You don't get to say that you missed me. You don't get to put the blame on me. Because you know what, I'm done. The second you cheated on me, you and I were done. So please, just do me a favor and let me leave" She turned around and went inside the limo and asked the driver to take her to their apartment.

The man who was left on the streets never go to say the words he wanted to say, "I love you"

As she got settled in her seat, she let the tears that she was holding flow. She couldn't stop them anymore. She just wanted to cry, go out and get drunk, but her heart wanted to do something different. She didn't want to drink herself in to oblivion and use alcohol and drugs to numb the pain. She wasn't going to run anymore, she was just going to make a big change. A change starting with a college acceptance letter.

She had finally arrived at their apartment. As she entered, all their memories came back to her. The kisses they shared. The fun they had. The love they had. All those made her want to forgive him. To take back what she said, but she remembered the unfortunate mistake that caused their split. She went straight to their closet and took her clothes, bags, and shoes. After that, she went back to their bedroom, and checked for her jewelry and other belongings.

As she finished placing all her belonging in boxes, she decided to go for the secret vault that she bought. In there, was a couple hundred thousand dollars in case of emergencies, some valuable jewelry, a check book, some cards, and her Yale acceptance letter. It was the position she didn't want to take because of Blair, but this time she was going to choose for herself. She was selfish for doing a lot of things, a lot that she regret, but this was a chance for her to be better. To take away the pain that her lover caused.

With no hesitance, she called the Dean, and said "Good Afternoon, this is Serena Celia Van Der Woodsen. I would like to ask if I will still be able to claim my spot at Yale?"

After a long conversation and a list of excuses, the Dean said he will read through her profile and get back to her tomorrow morning. That was enough for her. She continued packing her things, and placed all her boxes in the living room. She went to the bathroom to freshen up, so that she can check into her hotel, then head to her family's penthouse.

She got dressed and picked up the bag that she packed earlier, with a few clothes to last her for a week. She checked to see if she got everything ready, and called the Chauffeur to pick her up. As she was placing other things in her bag, the door opened loudly. She turned around to see who it was, then she saw Nate.

"So you're actually going?" He asked sadly

"What else am I supposed to do, Nate?" She asked quietly

"Stay"

"Nate you know I can't-" She stated, but she was cut off by him

"We'll work it out. We'll go somewhere. Where do you want to go? France, Italy, Fez, Germany? We'll go wherever you want, just stay, Serena"

"We can't just go on a honeymoon vacation, and expect everything to be ok. I am hurt okay. I feel betrayed and hurt. I can't be in the same room as you because the thought of you sleeping with another woman runs through my mind all the time, so Nate, just please stop" She pleaded

"Where are you going now?" He asked

"To Mom's" she answered nonchalantly

"You know that's not what I meant, babe" He said quietly

She flinched at the name, and just answered trying to hold back her tears "I'm staying at a Hotel for now, and waiting for a call to see where I'm going to next"

"So what? Two years together doesn't mean anything? Are we so easy to give up on? Come on, Serena, I made a mistake. A big one, but Serena, I love you"

She stepped forward and took his face in her hands, and kissed him lightly on the lips. She pulled away and looked into his eyes "Sometimes love isn't enough, Nate" She grabbed her bag and left her home
