Final Fantasy XV - Kingdom Hearts
Part 86
Summary: Two warriors of Light, the Chosen King and Keyblade Master, face an unseen Darkness.
*The Final World*
Sora had taken many roads throughout his journey, many roads end in new worlds. But this one felt like it is a world where he should not have been able to reach so soon.
"Where…is this?", asks Noctis, walking to stand beside Sora. Now back in his fatigues after his royal clothes were ruined, the chosen king looked around their new surroundings. A world completely devoid of darkness, endless skies and seas were all that was here. Below their feet was water that reflects the skies, the silence of this place felt strangely natural yet alien to them. Sora folds his arms with a frown, confused, and lost.
"I…dunno. It feels familiar but…", Sora tries with a hum before he sighed, defeated. Noctis looks around more for their missing friends, walking forward. The wet steps felt strange to him like he was walking on grounds that mortals were never meant to traverse. For all they know, this could be the final resting place for those whose hearts had returned to the light, and Mickey's warnings rang alarms in his mind. Was there such a price to pay for using the power of waking in such reckless ways?
He wished Aqua had told them more during their training. She wasn't going to educate him on something he'd likely never need to learn, giving how he already swore to return as king of Insomnia when the war ended. It also doesn't help that Sora knew as much about the risks as he does, and truth be told it unsettled him. But even if they would be up against something like a divine being or even the fallen Draconian, Noctis strode onwards.
They were getting Lunafreya and Naminé back, come hell or high waters.
"So what's next?", he asked as Sora waltzes beside him, "I mean, where do we start?". "Good question", replies the boy, "There's nothing here but water and sky…". Noctis sighs in annoyance, running his hand through his hair before Sora places a hand on the side of his mouth and yells: "Hello?".
Noctis opens his mouth to comment on the boy's sudden yell, but once more Sora's strange gift of finding help comes through for them. A strange sound rings out, both pairs of eyes turn to see a ball of light leaving trails of glittering light with it, before hovering above the waters and then shining so bright the two had to block their eyes. Noctis is thoroughly convinced by the end of this little journey he was going to need glasses with all the bright lights that have been popping in front of him.
The light fades and now before the two was a strange creature. The being has a large spherical head with small ears, narrow blue eyes, and a white snout. The limbs are quite stubby, lacking distinct digits, as are its tail. Dressed in a gold and blue cape that hangs on their back, while also bearing a small pink purse around their necks that bears an emblem unknown to the two.
"The name's Chirithy. And this is the Final World", it explains to the two. Both keyblade users glanced at each other before Sora cheerfully smiles and says: "I'm Sora, and this is Noctis. What's the… "Final World?". The little creature looks at the two before it folds its stubby arms and replied: "Exactly what the name implies. There is nothing else beyond this point". It shook its head and then focused on Sora.
"You have wandered here more than once before, during your visits to the Station of Awakening…but I let that slide", it explains, even adding a little bit of playfulness to the final part. Noctis frowns and crosses his arms. "Did I do the same? If we're talking about the same stations, then I've been there a few times as well", he asked. "Kinda, but you never went this far in, you stuck closer to the sleeping side of the coin".
"See the edges of sleep and death touch, and sometimes can't help but crossover". "Death"?", Sora questions. "The natural end when both heart and body perish together", Chirithy clarifies. Noctis and Sora shared a glance, likely confirming that at the very least they were on the right track in the first steps of their quest. "But…you two shouldn't be here…neither of you perished", the cat says with a confused tone and it'd probably be frowning if it could.
They both looked back at Chirithy. "That's because we're looking for our friends. Lunafreya and Naminé", explains Sora, "Have you seen them?". Before the little guy could speak, Sora goes off describing what the two girls looked like and Noctis explains how they did perish. But as they both rambled, Chirithy holds his stubby arms up to try and halt their river of words. "Hold on a second! If that's the case, then you two should go home!", it says.
"Why?", Sora asked. "I…don't want to be mean but…if they're gone and not here…then they…", the little cat says but hesitates when it sees the determination in the two's eyes. "We're not giving up, we're bringing them home", Noctis states firmly. Chirithy shook its head while Sora says: "We can use the power of waking, right? That-
"Won't bring back those whose heart and body perished", Chirithy finishes, "Besides…can you two even feel their hearts? Without that then all you'll do is waste time on an endless journey…". The two looked down, but Sora placed his hand over his heart and closes his eyes. Watching the boy, Noctis replicates the act and follows suit. With his heart glimmering and beating gently, the king tries to find it, the connection between him and the Oracle.
Warmth spreads across his chest, a weak light faintly shimmering in the depths of the dark, along with hope. For Sora, he feels a yearning for freedom…but also darkness. Pain filled voices whispering in the dark, harsh and cruel voices fighting against the tiny light that sparks and flickers defiantly. They open their eyes and face the little cat with confidence. "We can feel their hearts, they're just waiting for us to find them", Sora says bravely.
"Even still… the power waking is used to restore sleeping hearts, not ones that completely faded away from existence", argues the little guy. "If you two go down this road…there will be a price to pay for committing such a taboo against nature", warns Chirithy. Noctis and Sora share another glance at each other, weighing the words and warnings from this strange creature. The price is still unknown to them, and the words of Young Xehanort rings within Sora's heart. The lengths that they must go to, and into the unknown…
"…we don't care", Sora says. The little cat jumps in shock as Noctis added: "Both our journeys began with losing someone we love, and they will end when we find them". Noctis pulls out Lunafreya's necklace and holds it out for the little cat to see it. "I swore when this war ends, I'd give her the life she deserves, the future where she could be happy and around those who love her. And if I gotta give nature a big ole middle finger than I'll do it".
"Naminé has been alone for way too long, and I'm not gonna let her be in that dark place any longer", Sora states firmly. Chirithy stares at the two boys who were about to go against nature itself, no more fear nor hesitation within their hearts. It is perplexing and downright madness…yet somehow it…believed in them. Even if it meant their fates were tied to…
"…okay then…listen closely", it says.
"To find them…you'll need to connect hearts that are close to those who are lost", Chirithy explains, "But not to the ones you think. For them, you need to find the hearts that have gotten close to them, their greatest weaknesses, their struggles, and fears. By that method, you'll probably find their hearts". "You mean like Roxas, Xion and Kairi?", Sora asked, "For Naminé?". Chirithy shook its head and says: "No…the ones you're looking for are different. You're a part of it but only one piece".
"And what about Luna?", Noctis asks.
"… the same thing…", Chirithy explained. It then points behind them, and when they looked they see two doors materializing. One was a door that had the Tenebrae design while the other was a pure white door with a star emblem etched onto the door. "Go through those doors, and you'll be taken to certain points in their pasts where you can start the connections there", Chirithy explains, "But…you cannot directly interfere".
"What do you mean?", Sora asked. "Exactly I mean. You're observing first, then when the event plays out, only then can you seek out the fragments of their hearts". "So we're going to their past?", Noctis asks, folding his arms. "Yeah, you'll have to follow the connections of their hearts to find their own", Chirithy said. "But the darkness will still chase after their light, and where there is darkness, heartless will show up".
"Oh is that all?", Noctis says flippantly, "Here I was worried that it'd be Xehanort or Ardyn…". Chirithy rolled its beady eyes and points to them. "But be careful, beyond those doors lie unexplored places. Whatever you do, DON'T stray further away from their hearts or the paths laid before you". The two of them nodded one more time before they turn to their respective doors and grasp the handles. "Watch yourself", Noctis says.
"Back at ya", replied Sora.
Together the pried the doors open, immediately bathed in strange light…
*?*
Blinking and rubbing his eyes to free them from irritation and blindness, Sora gently removes his arm and stares at where he was taken to.
Before the boy was that strangely shaped castle that is standing before an endless void of shadows and emptiness, a green swirl behind it almost gave it a Maleficent look to it, the ground was dark and jagged with reddish substance like snow but the cold was something wicked and empty. Yet oddly this place felt…serene as if its appearance was only the result of the world rather than it's purpose. Stepping forward, Sora looks around to confirm he is alone, but no sight of Naminé.
"Wait…this is Land of Departure…isn't it?", he asked himself, folding his arms, "Aqua sealed this world's keyhole and created a…lay…lie…labyrinth…". He groaned at the word. From what he recalled, after their first battle in the Keyblade Graveyard, Aqua had brought Ventus here when he was in his comatose state to keep him safe from Xehanort. After that, she unlocked it and restored it to the world's original form.
"Wait a sec, how does Naminé know about this place? Kairi never came with us", he thinks to himself with a heavy frown. He paces around before the castle, trying to wrack his memories for answers, maybe there was something he had forgotten or maybe he had been told…
He stops and then turns to face the castle, a sudden…familiarity rose within him. Memories of the day he met Ventus came to mind, but with that also when he first saw this place before Aqua restored the world to its pure form, he couldn't help but feel as if…he had been there before. Bizarre to him as it would be to the others, but Sora felt as if he had been here before, yet he can't explain how or why he felt this nostalgia for this place. Sure he had been to more worlds than most, but he still remembered them all with perfect memory.
Footsteps echoed behind him and when he turns to identify them, he stops and stares ahead.
Before him, he saw Donald and Goofy walking toward the castle entrance, stop and then have what looked like to be a debate between them, likely if he were a betting lad if it was a good idea to explore this place. However seeing them wasn't the truly bizarre part, because behind them casually walking toward the castle, was him.
Younger, less experienced, and still a kid, wearing his first adventure clothes. The younger Sora looked to the castle and just without even saying a word, merely walks past the two and heads for the main entrance. "What the…?", he says to himself, watching Donald cry out and give chase with Goofy. When they went in, Sora looks down at his feet and more questions surge. Why were they here? How did they end up there? And why can't he remember?
Stuffing his hands into his pockets, Sora leans his head back to and try to recall when and where could all this have happened. A little foggy but he remembers after they had defeated Ansem, closed the door to light, see Kairi go home back to their island, and then he, Donald, and Goofy went on their journey to find Mickey and Riku. He remembers the grey road eventually lead them to a meadow, lost, without a ship or any clue to where they could start looking for the door to light.
Then they met Pluto, who was carrying a letter with the king's seal, gave chase, and then…he woke up in a machine. A whole year of his life, unknown to him and lost forever without any memory and the only clue he had to discover his missing year was a message.
"Naminé…", he whispers. Looking at the castle, it starts to dawn on the warrior of light that perhaps, just maybe, he might find more answers to the missing year along with rescuing Naminé. Sora waltzes towards the door, but just when he is about to touch it, suddenly he falls. Through the strange floor, Sora falls through the darkness, he yells in surprise and tries to find a way to stop him falling or at least grab something to save himself.
He finds no salvation for this and slams on the ground with a thud, making him grunt in pain and roll on his side with a hiss. Slowly he gets to his feet, flinching in pain and even hisses. It suddenly dawned on the boy that he is still in a poor state from his battles. This fall shouldn't have even caused a bruise on his toughened-up body, let alone make him feel like he was just thrown through seven walls after being pummelled into the ground.
"Guess I'm not back at full strength yet…", he sighed, shaking his arms. He could've asked for healing from someone else outside of the ten who fought Xehanort, but one glance told him that healing him to his full strength was out of the question. Though it'd probably have been smart to ask for a potion…
Sora looks around to find himself in a pure white room that reminded him of the same room back in the old mansion in Twilight Town. There was a small bed placed against the wall with a white lamp table, a white lamp that he sensed is powered by magic. Worryingly for all the space, the room had to offer to the occupant, it was extremely bare bones. This place didn't feel like a room one could come to for an escape from the world or relax.
This room felt more of a prison.
Sora looks to a corner of the room and sees the girl he seeks quietly sitting there on a chair. "Naminé!", he cries, breaking out a grin and jogged to her. Merely a step away from her, he offers his hand to her, but she remains docile and still. "Naminé?", he spoke, confused. He kneels to see her face, hunched over, and sees her eyes were devoid of the light she carried when he first saw her again on Eos.
Instead, there was emptiness, sadness, and a severe lack of will within them. It is almost as if this was nothing more than a doll before him, a false imitation of the girl. Confused, he tries to grab her shoulder to spur her awake, but his hand phases through her. He jumped in surprise, taking a step back from her and looked at his hand, then back to the girl. Blinking, he frowns when he suddenly remembered the warning Chirithy gave him before he entered this place.
He lowered his hand and stares at the girl's silently sitting like a puppet, wondering how long she must have been in this position. He opened his mouth again but is stopped when he looks behind him and spots two members of the organization enter the room. He grits his teeth and immediately summons his keyblade, raises it, and prepares to strike, only for his temporary lapse of memory to kick up and remember he can't do anything.
"Is this her?", the taller cloaked member asks.
"Xemnas", growled Sora, and one glare to the other tells him that had to have been Xigbar. "Yup. Just found her there all the time doing jack. Hasn't budged from that chair since we found her", Xigbar confirms. Xemnas hummed and approaches her, waltzing past the boy and stood before Naminé. He watched her, not moving an inch nor making a sound, like he was studying a rare species. Which when Sora did think about it, wasn't too far from the truth if what Riku told him was right.
"A nobody created without the somebody's body disappearing…and created from the heart and soul from another…", he analyses. "And without a trace of memory within". He cups her chin and forces her to look at him, despite her not resisting him in the slightest. Her eyes still dull and docile, it greatly disturbed Sora. Were all nobodies born like this? Or was it just Naminé? Xemnas drops her chin and she holds it up like a machine.
"…keep her here", he orders, "Have Marluxia watch over her and report back if anything develops". "What? But look at her, she-
"Will develop over time. She is an enigma to us, and whatever power she might possess can help us", Xemnas replied, "Vexen may find a use for her". Xemnas then opens a corridor of darkness and exits the room, leaving Xigbar to deal with the plan. The gunner lets out a disgruntled grunt before he turns on the girl and scoffs: "Whatever…you'll be their problem in a few hours anyway". He leaves the room with a loud slam, not even startling Naminé.
A sudden sense of flow begins to rush through the room before it begins to break away like pieces of a puzzle pried open as Sora feels himself being taken to another part of this castle. When he feels his feet touching the solid ground again, he finds himself in a dark room. He sees nothing in this place, just pure emptiness and isolation it almost chokes him, it could have been the dark realm for all he knew. But before he could understand why such a room is needed, voices began to boom outside.
A door opens and from the door, Naminé is thrown into the darkroom with a yelp and when she falls on her side, she scrambles away from Marluxia marching in. Sora could see in the girl's eyes is terror as she moves away from the man, eyes wide with frenzied fear, like a small animal cornered by a predator. One the man's face was only a malicious smile, a smile that disgusted Sora.
"He's arrived, Naminé. Your "hero" has finally entered the castle", he says coyly and cruelly. Naminé shook with fear, a single-arm raised to protect herself from whatever this nobody had in mind. "You know what to do, correct?", he asks as he approaches her. Naminé doesn't answer him, too scared to even whimper for the fear of him hurting her, and if Sora were a pessimist, again. The man with pink hair grabbed her arm, tight and from Naminé's whimper, painfully.
"Need a little reminder, my dear? You are going to manipulate his memories for us", he instructs. "Lure him deeper into the castle, re-write worthless memories until you become his obsession, and then when you are all he has left…". Naminé weakly and meekly whispers: "I-I…I…".
"WILL do what I command, the Superior put me in charge of you, remember?", he mocks, "And…he doesn't need to know everything. Just a little…vital details, shall we say?". His grip tightens on the girl's arm as Naminé's whimpers grow in volume, head down as tears began to race down her cheeks. Sora's fists clenched as his teeth gritted, rage bubbling inside him. And to think only a little while ago, he was genuinely happy for him to regain what it was like to feel.
He should've been more vicious in their fight.
Marluxia's smile turns darker, monstrous even as he releases her and gets to his feet. "Surely you don't like this room, do you? It's so quiet and dark here it's almost suffocating, and lonely too", he asks. Naminé doesn't dare to speak, only nods her head to confirm his "concerns". "Ahh of course, who wouldn't find this place so…horrible?", he asked. "But…imagine this Naminé…this could be your new room".
This made the girl face him with pale skin and utter terror in her eyes. "N-N-N-NO! Please!", she begged. "Oh? Well…you know the only way I'll be able to grant this little wish…", he taunts with mirth. Naminé nodded feverishly, agreeing to his command. "Good", he speaks, turning around and heads for the door. Naminé slowly and shakingly got to her feet, taking large gulps of breath but then when she looked at him, he was facing her.
"But…for your disobedience. You will have a taste of the fate in store for you, should you disobey or worse, fail", he says.
Naminé screams and runs but the door is closed shut before she could reach it. The room goes black as the dark realm as Naminé slammed into the door, bouncing off it and lands on her backside. Scrambling to her feet, she slams her fists on the door, crying and calling Marluxia's name. "Marluxia! PLEASE! LET ME OUT! I'M SORRY! DON'T LEAVE ME HERE!", begged the girl, banging her hands against the door.
Slowly her pounding decreases to weak touches as she slides down to her knees as her shoulders shook, her cries turning into whimpers and sobs. Sora sees her turning to sit down against the door and wrapping her arms around her knees, burying her head into them, she cries. The boy shook with horror and despair ripping into his heart, a tear falling from his eye as he watches Naminé suffer in the darkroom.
He approaches her and kneels before the sobbing girl, and even knowing her couldn't touch her, he carefully wrapped his arms around her form. "Don't worry…I'll find you, and you'll be back with your friends…", he swears. As the room begins to change and shift, the connection to her heart resonating within his own, he flies backward and ruefully leaves the girl behind in the darkroom. He follows the connection to the first shard of her heart, eyes steeled with determination and renewing his vow to bring her home.
And the first person to start with…is himself from the past.
*?*
Blinking as he stepped forward, Noctis rubbed his eyes with his arm while walking. His boots clack against smooth floors, echoing off the walls like he was walking down a corridor or a hall of a building. When his eyes were clear, he sees he was indeed in the middle of a hallway and sees the sunlight light through stained glass windows, between white pillars.
A castle perhaps or a palace, either one he was certain he is in a place for royalty. There is a familiar scent in the air as he walks on through the hallway, a smell he hadn't inhaled in a very long time nor would he ever forget. Sylleblossoms.
He pauses and then turns to the window. Peering through it, he basks the sight of land he feared would never recover from the events that plagued their world. Tenebrae in all its former and majestic glory. From here he could see the lush fields stretching to the woods, the rivers unpolluted and crystal clear as the sun rose over the large mountains, a kingdom that gave the world the Oracles. What finer place of such holy ground could provide them with such people after all?
"If this is Tenebrae…how far did I go into the past?", he asked himself, moving away from the window. Nothing in the empty hallways told him when this was taking place, though he wagered at least a little further back before the empire came and took over, judging from the lack of their emblems or soldiers defiling the halls. As he ponders, he saw a petal of blue flutter away in the air and dances down the corridor, like it was guiding him.
He follows the petal down the hallway and eventually reaches a door at the end. It was a simple ornate door with much of the Tenebrae touch to it, white and with the sylleblossom design. Thinking it was a step closer to finding the woman of light, he gently grabbed the door handle and opens it up, and enters. He almost announced himself but figured if what Chirithy told them was true, it wouldn't have mattered anyway.
Noctis relaxes when he closes the door behind, witnessing the scene before him. The room is designed more for those who would have been just coming out of a hospital, clean fresh air with the two doors opened leading out to the balcony, furniture untouched but in perfect condition. The bed was large enough for ten people, in comparison to the person who was currently sleeping in it. The smells of the famous flowers were more potent here but not unwelcomed, it soothed his mind and heart.
In the bed was himself but as a child. He had (according to his father whenever he was brought up) a delicate and boyish appearance with deep blue eyes which were closed currently and bangs that looking back were more scruffy than he remembered. Oh, he couldn't ever forget this day, aside from the day prior he had taken a grievous wound from the empire to being put in a coma where some doctors he'd pass away and of course waking up in a weird place.
But most important of all…today is when he first met Lunafreya.
Sitting close to the sleeping boy, wearing a white dress with a ruffled hem and a zipper at the back. Her hair was shorter back then, and she had bangs. Why did both have bangs as kids he had no idea but call him sappy or maybe Sora's infected him with romance, but he liked to think it was a sign that they were meant for each other. The girl sitting next to him, Lunafreya was curious studying him with innocence, eyes fixed on his sleeping form.
He saw her occasionally brush a bang from his face, poke his baby fat cheek now and then, and even giggled when he'd scratch his nose. The king approaches the bed, believing there might be a connection here for him to use. Maybe the child version of himself held a great significance to her past, at least that was the impression he was getting from the scenario.
But before he could grab a chair to sit down, suddenly the world around him warps as his child self and Lunafreya began to turn into crystals. They both shatter into nothing and down he went, falling into the void with a surprised yell. He falls and falls until he comes to a complete stop, being held in the air like a puppet on the strings. He shook his head and sees below him running through the lush field, being chased by the soldiers of the empire, is himself, Regis and Lunafreya.
He tries to warp down to them but his body is held in place, unable to defy this powerful force and is made to watch the scene perform before him. The day where he was separated from her, where she had shown him just how strong and brave she was compared to him back then. Staying behind to remain with her brother, after losing their home and mother to the bastard of an emperor, even when she could have lived a life free of their shadow.
As the soldiers gathered around her while others pursued Regis carrying his son, the soon to be Oracle only watched the child of destiny as he disappeared from her view. Even knowing if he could break free he'd still be able to do nothing, Noctis reaches out for Lunafreya. How different would things have been had she escaped with them?
As he floats there, another petal fluttered around him and when he feels his arms were freed, he clutched the petal with both hands. Slowly the world around him changes again as he is lowered to his feet. The light shines and blinds him, forcing the king to raise his arms to shield his sensitive eyes. The warmth fades away and the next thing he knows, he hears water sloshing and wind breezing past him. Lowering his arms, he looks around to find himself back in the place where everything had just taken a massive turn for the absolute worst.
Altissia.
He found himself standing upon the platform that leads to the ruined stairs that were destroyed by the Tidemother, the destruction of the city had brought back many dark memories of that day. Strangest of all he doesn't see himself, Lunafreya nor the keyblade wielders laying on the ground like Riku told them. "What's going on here?", he asked, wondering if it wasn't them that were the connections to Lunafreya's heart, then who?
"Never thought I'd see you again so soon".
Noctis spins on his heels and looks ahead of him in utter shock. Marching towards the king of light with his saber in hand, mismatching eyes dead set on the king. With an unreadable expression on his face, he stares down Noctis with contempt and even a little morsel of respect. He stood five feet from the king and then raised his saber at him.
"It has been a while, Chosen King", greeted the warrior.
"Ravus", gasped Noctis, "But…how are you…wait…". When the shock is over, Noctis took note that the Ravus before him is a complete opposite of the corrupted and darkened Ravus that Riku and Ignis fought on these very same battlegrounds. He was wearing the same clothing before undergoing the corruption, even his metal arm looked completely untouched by the darkness, and his light where it was once so small it was barely noticeable, was now stronger than ever.
"Are you…real?", asked Noctis, "Or something else?".
Ravus scoffs and lowered his saber, sheathing it. "I…do not know entirely myself", confesses the older man as Noctis relaxes his posture. "So this is you? Completed?", he asked, "Because both your heartless and nobody were slain". "Hmm…that does seem to the most likely case", Ravus agrees, looking at his hands, "Once I was freed from Ardyn's control over my nobody, I found myself here…and not with mother or the rest of my family".
"So you never returned to the realm of light? But why not?", Noctis asks, remembering how heartless and nobodies worked from Aqua's lessons. "Does it matter? However it was supposed to end, death was always the result", Ravus says dismissively, turning his eyes on the king, "But what has happened to Luna? I sensed her light just vanished!". Noctis looked away, before summoning up his courage and then tells him everything that's happened.
From the moment they arrived at the graveyard, the fights, the fact Xehanort almost destroyed the worlds, and to him and Sora using the power of waking. "Sora's gone after Naminé, and I'm looking for Luna's heart. But so far all I've seen are memories of her past, and you", finished Noctis. Ravus stares at the raging ocean with an expression Noctis couldn't understand, his fists clenched so hard Noctis was worried his metal limb was going to break.
"…can you save her?", he asked, "Is what the boy said truly about this power of waking?". "To be honest, their king didn't give me a lot of assurance…but at this point its either risk it all or Luna stays gone", Noctis argued, "And I'm not going to leave her behind". He approached Ravus and even with some grievances between them and some hostility, he offered his hand. "Maybe you could help with the connections, you're the only positive person probably had bar Gentiana. Finding those links could be easier".
Ravus looked at the king's hand with a raised brow and even looked like rejection, but Noctis snapped. "Help me or not, your call Ravus. But get in my way, and there's going to be hell to pay", warns Noctis. Ravus huffs and turns from the king, saying: "For now, we are allies. Only until we find Luna".
"And Naminé", reminded the king, "You owe her as well". Ravus growls as he walks into the ruined city of Altissia. Whether out of desperation to get going or to get this alliance over with, Noctis didn't know. All he knew was that Ravus might be the guidance they need to find Lunafreya's heart shards, and maybe through his memories the people connecting to her. Clutching the necklace within his pocket, he follows Ravus into the ruined city.
As the two keyblade wielders begin their journey into the memories of those close to them, they remain blissfully unaware of another spectator who is watching with interest…
A/N:
Not really a great chapter, but this is an introduction into Remind. So as you can see, we're going into a different direction and taking a LOT of liberties here I know but trust me it'll be worth it. And truth be told, I had little idea on how we're gonna introduce it, so here's hoping you all still enjoyed it!
QUESTIONS!
Q1: How was the chapter?
Q2: Happy to see Ravus back? (We will explain how he ended up there).
Q3: Was I too harsh on Naminé (its gonna get worse).
Q4: What are you hoping to see?
Q5: What do you think of Sora remembering Castle Oblivion while looking for Naminé?
As always everyone, thanks for reading! Stay awesome but more importantly stay safe!
