Surprise! Originally, I had this part at the end of the last chapter, but I decided to make this all on its own just cause I thought it deserved to be by itself haha! It's short and sweet, so enjoy!

Kuroo was frozen.

He and the other members of the party were staring at the same words over and over and over again, like a mantra. Their eyes couldn't believe what they saw; they didn't want to believe it.

Lost. Better luck next time.

They lost their armor, the gold coins, the ultra-rare weapons… His head was bowed down in shame, partly from losing, but really, it was because he had heard things that he shouldn't have. He felt disgusting, and he's sure the others were feeling the same way.

"… I think I need to go clean my ears out with soap… or maybe bleach will be more effective."

"… I'm gonna, uh, go to a shrine and pray to the gods to forgive my sins."

"…I'm going to the police and admit my crimes. I should be in jail."

"… I think I've realized that I'm going to become a priest…"

Kuroo shuddered at the others' ramblings and mumblings. First, he just lost to a team that reminded him too much of Karasuno with their gear based off of crows and orange highlights in their armor, and now he has to deal with all this… stuff stuck in his head.

Fishing out his phone from his pocket, he dialed the number he had memorized ever since a long time ago.

"Kenma," he gritted out. "Next time, turn off your damn headset. No one wants to hear you moaning, you sick bastard."

Kenma blinked in surprised when the phone call abruptly ended, embarrassment gracing his features once Kuroo's words sank in. He couldn't tell since he didn't have a mirror, but a pink tint graced his cheeks.

"Who was that?"

"…Kuroo," he mumbled.

"What did he say?"

He really didn't want to tell her. He couldn't. It was already embarrassing enough for him to know that fact, but Shoyo would die of embarrassment if she knew.

"Nothing important."

"Ah, okay." Silence greeted the two as Shoyo laid in the crook of her boyfriend's arm. "I forgot to ask, but how did you guys do in the tournament?" Her innocent eyes looked up at Kenma.

"Ah. We lost."

She chuckled. "Wow, Daichi was right. We won."

Crickets chirped in the background.

Wait… won… what?

"What do you mean?"

By this time, Shoyo snuggled closer to Kenma's side. Her slow breaths warmed his chest, but he wasn't going to be distracted by that. What did she mean by 'Daichi was right?'

"Mm? Oh, he said that Karasuno was going to beat you guys in this gaming tournament." She yawned. "I thought you guys knew you all were playing against them?"

Kenma's mind was racing. What a fool he was. The specific day that his girlfriend came to visit had to be today (or more like yesterday since it was past midnight), the day of one of the biggest tournaments he and his teammates were going to partake in. And she cosplayed as a cat. She couldn't have thought of this all by herself. If this was her revenge, well then… damn.

He got screwed. Literally.

Not just him but the others as well. There was only one person on the Karasuno team that could be conniving and sly just as him.

Tsukishima Rei.

"Oh, and also," Shoyo mumbled, "thanks for losing. They're going to split the prize with me since I did help them out." He forgot they played the same video game.

Those damn Karasuno bastards.
