Donna, Harvey, and their little girl, Avery, are in the kitchen. Donna and Harvey are making dinner and Avery is sitting on the counter.
Donna looks for the can opener in the furniture drawer as Harvey looks at her, and they smile at each other complicit, Harvey's eyebrow raises, and Donna giggles.
"Can you open that can of peas, please?" Donna asks Harvey.
"Can I? What do you think?" Harvey asks her daughter, acting an exaggerated force to open the can while his child is laughing.
"You have enough experience." Donna tells, mocking him.
"C'mon dad! You can do it!" Avery encourages his dad by waving her arms. "Why do you have your arms like Captain America's if you can't open the can?"
Donna chuckles, Harvey finishes opening the can and lifts her daughter above his head.
"My arms are to help to fly my favorite superhero!" Avery laughs and Harvey starts spinning.
"Harvey, be careful please!"
"I'm fine, mom! I love flying!" And she puts her fists ahead, in a superhero position.
At that moment, the doorbell rings.
"I'll open, can you stay a few minutes without my supervision?" Donna asks, looking at Harvey, he rolls his eyes, and Donna leaves the kitchen.
"Put me down, dad!"
"Ok…" He says, sitting her again on the counter.
Avery takes the can opener and began to "investigate" it, looking at it, moving it.
"Be careful with this, Avery."
"Yes dad… Can I ask you something?"
"Yes, of course." And he drinks some water that he has in a glass.
"Why do you and mom always look at each other and smile when you're using this?"
Harvey almost drowns with the water. "We do this?" He asks, acting in surprise.
"Yes, you did it. Always."
"Mmm… Maybe."
"Why?"
"It's a secret."
"I'm your daughter... Can I know? Please, dad!" She begs.
Harvey approaches her ear and speaks to her in secret mode. "When I have a trial, with mom we have a good luck ritual in which we use a can opener, as a game."
"Can I play with you?"
Harvey giggles. "No, it's an adult game."
"Please, dad. Please!"
At that moment, Donna returns to the kitchen with a box.
"What is that, mom?"
"An order from Amazon, Av."
"Can I help you open it?"
"Of course, sweetie."
That night, Donna and Harvey are in their bedroom.
"Today… Avery asked me why when we use the can opener we smile at each other."
Donna chuckles. "Really?"
"Yes. She's just as observant as you are."
"And what did you answer?"
"I told her we have a good luck ritual, a game... And she asked me if she can play with us."
Donna starts laughing.
"Ok… This is not going to happen."
"No, I told her it is an adult game…. She insisted, but you came back with the box and saved me."
"I always save you."
"Yes… It's true." Harvey says, approaching her. "And… What do you think about having a night playing adult games?"
"Mmm… Poker?" Harvey takes her by the waist and starts kissing her neck. "What is this game, sir?" She asks, passing her hands by his neck.
"The funniest in the world." He says in her ear.
"And will we need the can opener?"
"Maybe… There are strawberries in the fridge too."
"I love your mind…"
"Only my mind?"
"No, your body too."
"Good, because these arms aren't just for making Avery fly."
"No?"
"No." He says, pulling her even closer to him.
"Go find things and show me what else you can do with them." She whispers on his lips as she drags her nails down her husband's arms.
