Rad went to deal of the details of his plan, while Stripe and Pat took Bandit to the beach. After the oldest Heeler brother finished what he went to do, he called Stripe to know where they were. Eventually, he found them, sitting on the sand at the beach where they used to surf together.

"Okay, I'm back" Rad said, while arriving. "Where's Bandit?"

"When we arrived, he started to dig a hole" Stripe told. "At first, we thought it was a good way for him to get his mind occupied…"

"But then it just got really sad" Pat ended.

Rad turned to where they were looking at and saw a hole not far away with Bandit's legs coming out of it. He approached it, finding his younger brother lying on his back inside of the hole.

"Really?" Rad asked him.

"If I cannot be in my room, at least I have this hole" Bandit told. "This is where I want to be, right now."

And so Rad couldn't help but release a chuckle.

"You find my sadness funny?" Bandit asked. "What a great brother you turned out to be…"

"I'm not laughing at you, Bandit" Rad said, while sitting next to the hole. "I'm laughing because this is what you used to do when we were kids and mum didn't want to buy you ice cream or wouldn't let you go to the water when you misbehaved. It looks like, even being twenty years old, you still do the same thing."

"A hole is the best place to be when the world is against you" Bandit told.

"Do you remember how I would get you out of your hole?" Rad asked. "I would throw you sea water and force your way out. Now, I could do that, but I believe it would be a little too childish, don't you think? So, what do you say, ready to stand up and try to overcome this depression of yours, or do you want to be forced just like I did back at your room."

He extended his hand to Bandit and waited for him to get it.

"You're such a manipulative… I can't even think of an insult for you, right now" Bandit replied.

"That's what older brothers are for" Rad replied to him.

And so Bandit grabbed his hand and Rad pulled him out of his hole. After this, Bandit hugged Rad.

"Thank you…" he said.

"For what?" Rad asked, as they broke the hug.

"For being such an annoying big brother… and for not throwing water at me" Bandit replied.

"You're welcome" Rad told.

"So, does this mean your big plan is out of consideration?" Pat asked, as he and Stripe approached them.

"What?!" Rad asked. "No way! Especially since it's a plan that involves both of us having fun."

And then he showed an envelope which opened, only to reveal four plane tickets.

"We're going on a bro trip!"

"A bro trip?" Bandit, Stripe and Pat asked at the same time.

"Yeah, a bro trip" Rad told. "That way, we all can have some fun and, who knows, maybe meet someone interesting."

"So this is basically an excuse for you to travel and flirt with foreign girls" Stripe said, while taking one of the tickets.

"Hey, I have been working non-stop on an oil rig" Rad replied. "And both of you have been studying hard. We all deserve some fun."

"Well… some vacations on a new place during the break could be fun" Pat admitted.

"Wait… this tickets are to Lisbon" Stripe noticed, looking to the ticket he had. "Why do you want to go to Portugal? We don't even speak Portuguese. Beside, you do know it's winter there, right?"

"Okay, I don't want to go to Lisbon… despite that's a city I wouldn't mind explore" Rad told. "I want to go to Nazaré. The breaking waves there are way wicked! I always wanted to surf there and I bet you'll love it too. And winter in Portugal is not that bad, it's way better than most of Europe. For what I've heard, winter there started rather sunny with mild temperature. As for communication, it must not be that hard to find someone that speaks English, and even if we don't, we have someone here that speaks Portuguese…"

He looked to Bandit, with Pat and Stripe looking at him surprised.

"I knew I shouldn't have told you that" Bandit said to Rad.

"Wait, you speak Portuguese?" Pat asked.

"Since when?!" Stripe asked.

"I had a Portuguese teacher and she taught me and my peers some of her language" Bandit told. "I admit I got curious about it and I decided to learn a bit more. Actually, it's not that hard. I have some troubles with the grammar, but nothing too serious."

"Wow, and here was thinking I knew everything about you, pal" Pat commented to Bandit, while punching his shoulder.

"So this is your plan?" Stripe asked Rad. "Travel to Portugal and surf there for some days?"

"You have to admit it would be very neat, hein?" Rad said. "But I was thinking… We all wanted to visit London, right? So we could spend Christmas with our families, then we would fly to Portugal at 26th early morning, spend some days surfing and having fun then we would take a flight to London and spend the New Year and then come back."

"And how do you think in afford for all that?" Stripe asked.

"Dear brother, you should know me by now" Rad replied. "I'm a simple dog, what makes it easy for me to save money for my travels. You know how I love to travel to awesome surfing spots and Nazaré is a place I've been dying to visit with my three bros. Come on, it's going to be a whole week full of fun, surf… and maybe meet some babes."

"I already know you won't let me out of it, so I guess I don't have any other choice" Bandit said.

"Well, I was planning passing mid-semester break at my brother's, but I guess passing it with my brothers from a different mother is a good way to pass it too" Pat replied. "Count me in."

Rad then turned to Stripe, using his excited look which normally would work on his younger brothers, and the youngest Heeler sighed and said:

"Okay, count me in too."

"Great!" Rad exclaimed. "Let's do this thing."

After Christmas, where the Heeler brothers spent with their parents and Pat with his dad, the four of them went to take their flight to Lisbon at early morning of the 26th. While waiting at the line for the check-in, all four of them with their travel backpacks, Bandit noticed a female red heeler, who was with a female blue heeler, passing by, pulling their trolley, talking and sharing laughs.

For some reason, Bandit couldn't just stop looking at her, with a slight smile even appearing on his face. He even, for a few moments, was able to forget about Emily. Bandit followed her with his eyes for as much as he could, but even when she got out of his sight, he got into a little daydream, as he kept picturing that Red Heeler in his mind.

"Bandit, mate" Rad told him, causing Bandit to wake up from his daydream. "Come on, it's our turn."

"Oh… okay" Bandit said, while coming back to the real world and going to make the check-in.
