Annabeth

They stepped out into the cold crisp night air, Annabeth hid her hands under the long sleeves of the robe.

She thought deeply as they walked. How much that had happened in the past few months actually happened? Whoever this person was, they were a master at illusions. Those moments she had lived felt so real, when she woke up and couldn't see… It had felt like she was back in Tartarus. When she fell out of the window in the hall… when Percy was killed countless times. What if what was happening right now wasn't real? She thought they all might go crazy before they even left for their quest.

Hermione gasped.

Annabeth's head snapped.

There was Percy. Standing in the lawn, bent over himself, one bloodied hand placed against the wall supporting him.

Annabeth's legs broke into a run. Percy was sweaty, and smelled of bile puke.

"Oh my gods.. What happened Percy?!"

He looked up at her and laughed. Goosebumps went down her spine as he pained a grin.

"The Fates just can't stand to see us content," he said weakly. He was right. It seemed as though they just wouldn't let them be.

Percy slumped to the ground exhausted. Annabeth followed pursuit, falling to her knees to aid Percy.

"I don't know how, but I was back in the hall... " he trailed, "You were.. You were screaming for help. You were in trouble, and then… I fell… out…" He lifted his head to the broken window above. "I fell out of a window."

He fell out of a window… it seemed whoever was creating such trouble with their minds, liked to recreate the same things.

Hermione had run off to grab the others, so Annabeth busied herself by wrapping his wounds in cloth. She was glad she had brought ambrosia, although Percy would have to wait until they got back into the castle.

"Annabeth…" his voice strained, "She's in my head… I keep… living out these nightmares."

"I know… I know. We are going to fix this." was all she could think to say in response.

Hermione, Ron, and Harry carried themselves quickly across the lawn.

"Bloody hell! Why does this keep happening?" Ron said.

"It doesn't. It's all in our heads. It's making us do crazy things." Annabeth responded. Sharing the dots that connected in her head.

"It seems to me that Percy was living out this nightmare… sleep walking I guess. This has happened a few times. Where terrible things have happened, but it ends up they never actually happened. I'm assuming that Percy's body took action after the weird things that were going on his head."

"We all had that happen too!" Hermione commented.

Harry grimaced seeing Percy sprawled on the ground. He had made himself comfortable by laying his head on Annabeth's lap.

"Let's get Percy cleaned up, and figure the rest of this out in the morning." He said taking action of the situation.
