A/N: I have chapter names, i feel so important.

"Absol?"

"We're almost there I promise."

Absol looked at his trainer, she had said that a while ago, and they were still walking.

"You'll be fine, you used to live in the mountains anyway," Serena said, smiling at her partner.

They had been walking for about twenty minutes to train somewhere away from the prying eyes of reporters and other coordinators. She'd heard rumors about a Pokemon Gym that was in construction, and the workers had gotten the week off from working on it to prep the Wallace Cup venue.

Hopefully, no one had the same idea and I'll be alone.

The sun wasn't fully up when they got to the site.

"Look at this, a nice open field, not a coordinator or reporter insight, and the tower will block the sun until it's over us and keep it out of our eyes," Serena spun around a little to prove her point.

After doing this, Serena grabbed three Pokeballs and released the Pokemon inside.

"Alright, Riolu and Fletchinder, I'm using you two for the performance round, and Sylveon, I'll use you for the battle rounds, so let's get training."

"Hopefully, Professor Cerise will give us the day off," Go said.

He and Ash were in Cerise Park checking on Go's Pokemon.

"Hopefully," Ash said, watching Pikachu and Riolu train on their own.

Go walked further back into the enclosure with Raboot. Raboot was a little ahead and snapped a twig with his foot, which seemed to wake up a large Pokemon that was sleeping. It opened its wings and started chasing Go and Raboot.

"Rab, rab, rab," Raboot shouted.

Ash stood up and saw Go and Raboot running for their lives. Pikachu started charging up its electricity. A figure darted out from the cover of the trees and before it could attack Ash burst out.

"Noivern," he shouted.

Noivern stopped preparing its attack and landed in front of Ash. Ash hugged his old teammate.

"That freaky powerful, aggressive Pokemon is yours," Go said, keeping his distance from Ash and Noivern.

Ash chuckled, "Noivern looks big and aggressive but he's my youngest Pokemon aside from Riolu, it's really Hawlucha that you have to worry about."

As if on cue, a figure dropped down from a high branch. Once it landed it spread its arms out wide.

"Haw, Hawlucha."

"Talonflame," another Pokemon called during its descent.

Go looked at the three flying Pokemon, "Ash, are these three Pokemon yours?"

Ash nodded, "These guys were half my team in Kalos, I'm glad that Professor Oak got my message about wanting to bring my old Pokemon here instead of keeping them back in Pallet Town."

"So where are the other two teammates?"
"Oh, uh, Goodra and Greninja, right. Well, they're both in Kalos, Goodra is living in his swamp and I'm not sure where Greninja is exactly, all I know is that he's helping protect the Kalos Region."
Go was about to say something before the door burst open.

"Ash, Go, I need you both, there have been some strange occurrences and we need to know why they happened," Professor Cerise said, looking excited at the thought of new Pokemon behaviors.

Ash and Go ran to the lab, where they were informed of the situation.

"For some reason, a large herd of Rhyhorn has been spotted moving around the city. Go I want you to see where they are going, Ash, I want you to talk to bystanders, see if they noticed anything wrong with any members of the herd, this might be a new phenomenon that we'll be the first to study.

Ash and Go nodded and raced out the door.

The herd was relatively easy to find, everyone was giving it a wide berth for fear that the peaceful Ryhorn might turn violent.

"Alright, Go you follow them and I'll talk to people around here," Ash said.

Go nodded and ran after the herd. Ash walked around and talked to the bystanders, no one had seen anything.

"How are we supposed to do this, cause if traveling with the daughter of a Ryhorn racer taught me anything, it's that Ryhorn doing that on their own isn't natural," Ash said.

Pikachu was walking beside Ash, trying to cheer him up.

"Sorry buddy, I know you're trying to make me feel better but it's not working."

"Pika pi," Pikachu said, seeming to groan in frustration.

Ash and Pikachu, having no luck with the bystanders watching the Rhyhorn, decided to start walking the route they took and try to find any clues to the strange behavior then meet up with Go.

Pikachu was off Ash's shoulder, rare for the electric mouse, which made him the ideal target for some Pokemon thieves.

A mechanical hand wrapped around Pikachu and pulled him away from Ash.

"Pika pi," he cried, squirming in an attempt to release himself.

Ash turned around.

"It's taken us three very long years but."

"We've finally captured it."
"We've captured the twerp's Pikachu."
Pikachu was in a glass orb that seemed to be immune to his electric attacks. Ash grabbed one of his Pokeballs.

"Gengar, let's go."

A flash of light signaled the release of Gengar but barely a second after a dust cloud appeared, blinding Ash for a few seconds. By the time he could see, Pikachu was gone.

A/N: DUN DUN DUNN. Don't worry, Ash and Serena will be back together soon, trust me. Thank you for the support, this is the farthest I've gotten in a Pokemon FanFic and I'm sure it's because of the amazing support I'm getting from y'all. Also, I think it's stupid that Ash is keeping his Pokemon in Pallet Town when he could easily keep them in Cerise Park so I'm moving his Pokemon to there and I'm giving him Noivern for plot reasons that I'll elaborate on in later chapters. One more thing, I think I'm gonna end up writing a prequel that focuses on Serena's adventure in Hoenn. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy the chapters that are still to come.
