Summary: The gods are dying – the war with Gaea took more from them than imagined, especially as it was right after the Second Titan War. Now, they have decided to hand over the reins of power over to the next generation.
Note: This is a fem!Percy fanfiction. Percy is Penthesilea/Marina aka Penny/Mia. The Roman forms will be their middle names. Silena doesn't die because plot.
Penny Jackson was having a nice time with her friends, when Chiron called them to the Big House.
"You have been summoned to Olympus." Those words made her head swirl, hadn't they already done enough? What did the gods want now? But, they could be rewarding them too...
"Guys, got any idea of why we were summoned?" Penny asked her group.
"Nope!" Leo, ever cheerful, replied. So, they sat in the van, doing whatever they did when ADHD got the better of them, and waited to reach the Empire State Building.
"600th floor," Penny wasted no time in asking.
Of course, he used the old dialogue, "Kid, there's no 600th floor,"
Penny leaned forward, "Listen, there are fourteen half-bloods in here, five of which are Big Three kids; so, are you allowing entry?"
"Y-y-yes," he stuttered and hurriedly nodded.
When they entered the elevator, Hazel asked her, "Did you really have to do that?"
Thalia answered instead, "He never really learns, so, yes we did."
Tip toe through the tulips...
Katie groaned, "Why is the music always so horrible?" but, they endured it.

When we entered the Throne Room, the gods were looking majorly sick.
"We- cough – are fading fast. Too much of our en – cough – energy has been taken in these wars," and here I thought they had been twiddling their thumbs, maybe they did do something useful... "We would like you to take our place." Athena explained.
Okay...
We're supposed to become gods now?
Is this a prank that Hermes and Apollo roped everyone in?
"No, it isn't, it's actually happening." Artemis smiled. I said that out loud, great.

[And others which I'm too lazy to write]
And then they had their dramatic fadings aka death.
"So what now?"
"How do we tell the Camps?" my question made us all sweat.
Annabeth suddenly snapped her fingers "Chiron!"
"What about him?" Piper asked.
Hazel held her arms up, "You mean we need his help to break the...news...to the camps, yes?"
"Annabeth, summon Chiron and Lupa, will you?" I mainly asked Annabeth because she was the only person who might know what she was doing and not call some hippocampus instead.
Chiron and Lupa were not very surprised at the change, in fact, they already knew! I knew just what to do, "If you already knew, I'm sure you will have no problem breaking this news to the camp; after all, they might believe you over us too," I smiled sickly sweet, everyone was in shock – not the bad kind – and I knew what they were thinking: 'who knew Penthesilea Marina Jackson could be so vindictive? Giving them such a job with a smile because she wasn't warned before what had been literally dumped on us...Let's not get on her bad side.'
We had also been told that it was compulsory to have demigods; why? Because: we would literally fade and all of the Western Civilization will go to Hades (or is it Nico now?) without demigods.
So, the next century passed, with good times and bad, and the Muses sang about why not to invoke the wrath of the Goddess Penthesilea in the song of Alexander Gray. Our stories started being added, so this generation of gods was known to mankind. There were the Great Five: Thalia, Jason, Hazel, Nico and Penthesilea; the five most powerful Omegas aka Big Three juniors. I understood my father's feeling of losing his children before their time, and not having any daughters. Yeah, the latter stopped when I had a beautiful daughter I named after my son's wish.

-Natasha P.O.V.
We, and by that I mean the Avengers, were having Team Bonding now that the threat of Loki is over, personally, I had to refrain from showing my full anger on the idiot because I realized he had been brainwashed, and told so to Nick.
So, here we are, sitting and playing a game of 'Go Fish', at least, we were; now we don't know what to do.
"Netflix marathon, anyone?"
"Natasha, I do believe you will get obsessed with this in a while," a voice I knew very well spoke in disappointment, but there were traces of humour in it.
"JARVIS, security breach," Tony lazily called out.
"Yes, Sir,"
"Indeed, Ser Stark, you need to increase your security because if Natalya gets hurt..." Mom threatened.
Nick gulped, "It will be done, Milady; Stark, increase your security!" I can't say it wasn't amusing to see the Nick Fury terrified of one of his agents' mother, but then, said agent's mother is a goddess who everyone tries to stay on the positive side of...
"Mom, I missed you and all, but really, dramatic much?"
"My uncle was far more dramatic, daughter, so do not accuse me."
"You're getting formal,"
"Child, I'm doing this on purpose,"
"Great," I muttered sarcastically, "My mother embarrassing me is the best thing ever,"
"Do not use sarcasm with the the Queen of it,"
"I never knew there was a place called 'It'."
"Cheeky brat..."
"You couldn't possibly accuse me of that!"
"...But I was cheekier,"
Tony finally got back to his senses, "You're Natasha's mom? And, by the way, good job on scaring Fury!"
"Stark...Stark," she seemed to e trying to recall something, "Yes, you're a legacy of Leo!"
Steve, who apparently lost any semblance of tact, spoke up, "I thought Natasha's mother was supposed to be dead?"
Everyone looked at him in shock, and Fury turned into a spluttering mess trying to apologize but Mom just laughed, which was shocking.
"Ah, it's just that mortal reactions at times are so amusing,"
"Mom," I sang, "You're doing it again,"
She honest-to-Olympus pouted, "Oh, honestly, I just like doing it. By the way, Nicholas, how's Maria?"
"Perfectly fine, Milady, should I call inform her of your, uh, visit?" Fury's voice was cracking and wavering, just what did Mom do to him? Maybe he's just going by the stories...whatever.
He called her, and Maria Hill came in, "I heard my mother-in-law was here?"
"Ah, Maria, you've grown really, Piper is going to be so proud," 'Ria blushed, "Tell me, is Lysander treating you well?"
"Oh, yes, very."
"Good."
"Milady, do you, uh, need anything? Or water?"
"A bottle of water, please, Nicholas," Fury hurriedly left to follow her command.
Steve blinked, "Fury never lets anyone call him Nicholas or follow anyone's orders; how-?"
"Ah, well, I suppose he wants to get on my good side, what with my daughter and daughter-in-law working and doing sometimes life-threatening stunts for him."
"Mom, no one likes being on your bad side." I flatly remarked.
She shrugged, "Whatever. They shouldn't insult or – directly or indirectly – hurt, either physically or emotionally, people I care about, and I wouldn't feed them to sharks."
Bruce stared at her, "How do you 'feed them to sharks'?"
"Eh. I order the sharks to eat them; they listen to me."
Tony narrowed his eyes, "Why would they listen to you?"
"Right. Mom, you left a minor detail."
That's when Fury came in, and handed the water to Mom and me, "Here, Milady; Stark, she's a goddess, be respectful."
Clint cleared his throat, "A goddess. Like – a literal one with all the powers and stuff?"
I thought about it, "Yeah, pretty much. Mom's Greek."
Steve started talking to himself, "Alright, okay. You've seen Norse gods before, and you've both battled and worked with one each. Greek gods and goddesses aren't much of a shock, now, right? Deep breaths, deep breaths; Ma'am, which one would you be?"
Mom grinned, "Earthshaker, Stormbringer, daughter of Poseidon, Penthesilea Pelagia, Goddess of the Sea and a bunch of other stuff." All my team mates were staring open-mouthed at her.
Stark recovered first, "Like: the lady with the Pegasus, sword and Trident?"
"Yep," I agreed, popping up the 'p'.
"That would be me."
"And Natasha is your daughter, and Hill is your daughter-in-law?" Clint continued.
"Stop playing dumb, Clinton,"
"Right, Lady Penthesilea, sorry," at the other's questioning looks, he added, "I'm a son of Will, the archery and sun god."
I chuckled, "You know Mom would pick up your act; why'd you do it?"
He shrugged, "It's fun."
Mom had a nostalgic smile on her face, "That's something your grandfather – my cousin – would have said."
"Lord-Grandfather Apollo would have? Really?"
"Yes he would've, Clinton," Mom took a 'sip' from her bottle and drained the whole thing. Oh mom...
Then, Mom's normal laidback attitude went away and she became dead serious, "I want my daughter to be safe, got it? And while I understand injuries happen in battle, if my daughter gets hurt out of battle because of you, you'd prefer going to the Fields of Punishment to what I'll do to you. If my daughter cries because of you, I'll make your life a living Tartarus. If I lose her again, well, I'm sure you've heard the story of Alexander Gray." Mom gave a chilling smile that could send shivers down someone's spine. Then, true to her flair for dramatics, she disappeared in a whirlwind of water.
"So, Fury, you got the same treatment from Mom?"
He shuddered, "It was worse and twice over," oh, poor guy, at least I know why he stutters and splutters so much when she's around and follows her demands...Oh well.
Though I still wonder what Mom did after Alexander died, all the stories ever say is that she lost her temper epically and the people responsible for his death most probably don't exist anymore. Those who do know what she did have always kept quiet about it, but there's this tiny lick of fear in their eyes when it's mentioned. Maybe Lady-Aunt Piper or Lady Silena (can't really call her 'Aunt' due to circumstances that would make it awkward) would tell me at some point?
Of course, when I thought that, I didn't really think someone would be reading my mind. It seems Lady Silena was, as she came in a flash of light.
"Natalya, dear, do you want to really know what happened after Alexander..." I nodded, and I saw my teammate's curious faces out of the corner of my eyes, "I warn you, it's not pretty."
"I don't care, I just want to know."
Soon, we were inside a memory.
It was from Silena's point of view, so we were seeing it through her eyes. We were in the throne room as Mom (Penny/Lady Penthesilea) grabbed her heart, "Alexander," she whispered and turned to everyone else, "My son is calling me, and I have no intention of denying his request." Then she flashed out and Silena's eyes followed her (gods could do that – see any corner of the earth if they focus well enough) and Mom was standing over a boy with windswept raven black hair, swirling sea-green eyes and slightly tanned skin – he would've looked absolutely handsome, but not in the state he was in: he was bleeding heavily, there was a bruise above his left eye, his blood was mixed with his hair indicating that there was a head injury.
"Alexandros," Mom harshly whispered, and I could tell she was angry, "What happened? Who did this to you?"
"Mother, I- I don't think I will survive..." he admitted, "I just wanted to see you one last time,"
"No, no, I'll make Will heal you, even him and Thalia together if that's what takes, even if it takes all the Omegas working together, my son, I will heal you," and that was when I realized just how much Mom loved her kids, I mean, we knew she loved us a lot, but this - this gave a whole new understanding.
"Mother, there is nothing you or anyone else can do, I'm pretty sure internal bleeding that's been going on for six hours can't be healed by gods." Then, he added, "I've only survived this long due to my demigod heritage. Just, when you have a daughter, could you please name her Natalya or even Natasha? I've always had a liking to that name..." So, that's how I was named?
"I will. I love you, son, and know that I've always been proud of you."
"I love you too, Mother," and then Alexander Gray died.
Mom came back to the Throne Room and started sobbing by the hearth, "Annabeth, who was it?" Lady Annabeth (again, awkward circumstances) whispered something to her, and the grief in Mom's eyes turned to pure, undiluted rage.
"They dared?!" And then Mom left in that dramatic exit that she loves, only this time it was more intimidating.
After that, the screen showed floods, storms, sea storms, fires, droughts, everything happening in one place – the Island Country of Adelphia.
We came out of the memory.
"It was the Government of Adelphia who did that to Alexander in revenge for what his father – Daniel Gray – did in refusing to trade with them using his company. After five years of doing everything horrible she can do to them using her domains, she sank the whole island, and all of Adelphia was swept away," Lady Silena snapped her fingers, "Just like that."
"I never knew Mom could be that dangerous or furious, she's normally very sweet and kind with a laidback attitude alongside an overprotective streak a hundred miles wide."
"Now you do," Lady Silena smiled, "Do you want to meet Helen or Penelope or Sofia or Lysander or Perseus or Daemon?" her eyes twinkled with mischief.
"Who're they?" Tony just had to open his big mouth, didn't he?
"My half-siblings," but of course I had to explain that: "Lysander Hill is a fellow half-blood/demigod and Maria's husband; Perseus is Mom's son with Lord Leo; Daemon is also her son with Lord Nico; Helen is her daughter with Lady Silena here; Sofia's her daughter with Lady Annabeth; and Penelope is her daughter with Lord Connor. Lysander is the only one of this list who isn't immortal."
"Huh." Steve regained his composure after that episode, and I realized that if something happened to me or Maria, Mom had threatened to do the same thing to the Avengers/SHIELD. "So, you have three brothers?"
I sighed; it was going to be a long day of questions and answers now.
How was this one? Seriously, I'm rereading 'Black Secrets' now to get an idea, please help! I know that other than yesterday, I have been missing, please don't repeat the furniture-tomato-dragon fruit dodge ball again, please? And yes, Alexander Gray and Daniel Gray are OCs, and the Island Country of Adelphia and its Government doesn't exist.
