A/N: School suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks, but just because I'm going back doesn't mean I'll stop updating, I have two chapters already prewritten and I'm working on a third one right now, so don't worry. Also, if you reviewed my last chapter, I made sure to acknowledge them down in the Author's Notes below.

"Alright, we're heading off to train," Dawn called.

Serena pulled her hair into a higher ponytail and she had already changed into her training outfit. Ash was still worried about her, is this how she felt when I would pass out with Greninja, he thought.

"I'll be fine, no need to worry Ash," Serena said, noting his worried expression.

"I know it's just-" Ash tried to say.

"You fainted just two hours ago, even I wouldn't recommend going off and training by yourself," Brock said, cutting off the young boy.

Ash mouthed a thank you.

"If I faint, one of my Pokemon will come to grab you guys," She said, standing up.

She walked over to where the other coordinators were standing and waved the group goodbye.

When the group was out of earshot, Brock turned to Ash.

"So how long have you had a crush on Serena?"

Ash flinched and looked at Brock in shock.

"How, what, who," Ash spat.

Go and Max exchanged a knowing look and turned back to the two trainers.

"Well, I uh, I guess I've had one for a while, probably longer then I think, I finally realized it when she left for Hoenn."

*Flashback*

"Hey Ash, there's just one more thing," Serena yelled.

She ran up the escalator towards Ash, he felt his face get hot as she got closer.

For a split second their lips brushed against each other. Ash was dumbstruck and speechless. I can't have been that dense, right? He thought, trying to process exactly what just happened. He glanced at Bonnie who seemed to be fangirling along with Pikachu. So they noticed, was I seriously that stupid.

"Thank you," Serena yelled, which snapped Ash out of his thoughts.

The group waved goodbye to their friend.

I am such an idiot, Ash thought while internally facepalming.

*Flashback Ends*

"Wow, and here I thought that your guys' stories would be totally different," Max said.

"Wait, Serena told you what happened."

Brock nodded, "Yeah, anything about you was a super touchy subject with her and May and Dawn pestered her and she accidentally let it slip about her kissing you and"

"Naturally, May and Dawn wanted the story," Ash finished.

Max and Brock nodded.

"Well, I'm gonna say it, you and Serena do look like a couple," Go said.

"Yeah, you guys do," Max said.

"Alright, guys, I get the point."

"So, you gonna ask her out?" Go asked.

"Please, for the love of Arceus, please do that."

"MAY," the group yelled.

"Yeah, and Dawn," she said, dragging the blunette out into the open.

"Please tell me Serena isn't with you guys," Ash muttered under his breath.

"Don't worry, she went off on her own to train, same as Drew, we just trailed behind and then we heard Brock's question."

"Weren't you two pestering Serena about this kind of thing to the point she ran off?" Brock said, scrunching his nose.

"Yeah, but she found Absol," Dawn countered.

"But she seemed super paranoid afterward."

"Yeah, and then that blonde trainer that Brock was head over heels for showed up and helped her with Absol, and left with an extra Pokeball after talking to her," Max added.

"Blonde trainer?" Go said in confusion.

"Yeah," Max responded, "She helped Serena with Mega Evolution and had a Mega Lucario, and she was from Kalos and seemed to know her."

"Korrina?" Ash asked.

"How did you know," Dawn said in shock.

"Clemont, Bonnie, Serena, and I traveled with her for a while when she was trying to master Mega Evolution. She's the Shalour City Gym Leader."

"How do you get along with Gym Leaders so well?"

Ash shrugged, "I have absolutely no idea."

"Oh, that reminds me, Ash, I challenge you to a battle."

"Pika pi," Pikachu yelled.

"Let's do this."

A/N: For someone who is a very amateur Pokemon Fanfiction writer, I sure do like forcing myself to write battle scenes. So yeah, Max and Ash will be having their battle in the next chapter so stay tuned. Thanks for the support, I love reading your reviews, they help more than you think, I was going to disregard SM entirely until I read a review on my first chapter, so please give your feedback and maybe I'll incorporate an idea of yours. Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed this chapter :D.

Amourshipper35 - Glad you liked it :)

dfelipe76 - Probably should've thought about that, I'm still new to writing battle scenes and fics and I wasn't quite sure what the move did so I excluded it. I was also aiming for a decently long battle between the two of them so the chapter could have at least some content that was battle focused, but either way, thank you for the feedback

Reader - Oof, that slipped my mind when I was writing, but I did explain in this chapter that Korrina and Lucario had helped Serena and Absol, and Absol and Lucario ended up becoming pretty well-matched

kevinbellemore - Thank you so much :)
