A/N: First time writing in what... 4 years. Tbh, It takes enough time to actually get through all the amazing stories out there even 9 years after the show ended. Which is great! Love reading pretty much all of them. This is a song-fic(?) I just thought about. Just a short one-shot, but thought I would write it down before I forget. No beta or anything, so sorry for any mistakes, all mine. Not really a native English-writer. Story set in s2-ish.

It had been a terrible last 48 hours. She hated having to put him down again and again. In all of her years as an agent, she never had this feelings making her well... have feelings. Feelings get you killed had been drilled inside her head from the beginning. But one man kept making her slip up and he was not some James Bond-type of guy. No, a computer-nerd working at a Buy More was the source of those said feelings. So now after this mission they had been on, Chuck had once again disobeyed her and left the car. She had lost count on how many times that had happened now. So after she had yelled at him yet again for doing that, they had split and she left home to Maison 23 while Casey brought Chuck home. She was tired of fighting herself. Fighting Chuck. When all she wants to do is be close to him at all times and give into said feelings.

She was laying on her bed staring at the ceiling when her phone beeped, a message received.

It was from Ellie, Chuck's sister. She had invited her to go with Devon and Chuck to karaoke-night.

She was not really feeling up for it, but she didn't want to be rude to Ellie. It's not her fault she and Chuck had argued. So she typed back that she would love to go and got a reply saying that they were leaving in about 45 minutes. She looked at her watch and went to her bathroom for a quick shower. She applied light makeup and put on her pants and t-shirt with her black leather jacket over.

After getting her keys, she left her apartment and got into her car, driving to Echo Park.

Not sure what to expect of this karaoke-night, she was not really in the mood to sing, not that she wanted to really sing in public either, but it could be fun to watch Ellie and Devon do a duet.

She arrived outside the apartment-complex and got out of her car. She walked towards the fountain and before she reached the door, it opened and she could see Chuck, Ellie and Devon all ready for the night out. She barely heard what was said.

"...I doubt Sarah would want...Oh hi Sarah." Chuck said. It was obvious he was making excuses for her.

"Hi Chuck." She put on her smile as she moved towards him, giving him a cover-kiss.

After they separated, Ellie took over and gave her a hug. "Hey Sarah, are you ready for karaoke?" She flashed a smile.

Sarah smiled as she looked down on the ground and spoke. "I'm not really sure about this. I have never done a karaoke-night before."

She looked up and saw Ellie smile before speaking. "Well then Sarah, you are in for a surprise." She then took Devon's arm and walked towards the exit of the complex.

Sarah raised her eyebrows wondering what she had meant. She looked at Chuck, hoping for some clarification.

Chuck was blushing, but he didn't say anything, he just grabbed her hand and they started walking after Ellie and Devon. Sarah volunteered to be the designated driver for the evening. She didn't see the smile Chuck had made at that.

After they parked their car and walked on the promenade towards the karaoke-bar, Sarah felt nervous of the thought of having to sing and asked if she had to. They all chuckled at her and told her no, she was not forced to sing. Which was a big relief for her.

She kept stealing glances at her cover-boyfriend. He looked nervous as well. Was he upset about having to go to karaoke-night with her?

"Hey Chuck, are you okay?" She finally asked.

He turned his head and smiled. "Yep!" Was all he said.

As they entered the bar, she saw it was not that many people yet. Then again, it was still pretty early. Devon ordered beer for the three of them and a glass of water for her. They chatted about work and other stuff as they watched several people sang. Some was pretty good, but others was really terrible and she couldn't help snort of one guy singing really off-beat. She had her refill of water and noticed Chuck was already on his third beer. What was going on?

She leaned closer and grabbed his hand. "Are you sure you are okay Chuck?"

He looked at her again and smiled while squeezing her hand gently. "Yeah I'm fine."

She wasn't sure about it, but let it go for now.

It went on for another hour. Then Ellie announced that she and Devon was going to sing a duet. She was surprised but was looking forward to hear her friend sing with her boyfriend.

She listened as they sang a cover of "Stand by Me". It was really sweet. While they didn't really did the song justice, she heard way worse through the night.

When they came back to the table she said congrats and that they did really well. Ellie and Devon told her thanks and they listened as the next singer approached the stage. The guy did a really bad version of "Wake me up before you go-go". She had to hold back a laugh as there wasn't much applause after he finished. When she turned her head back she found Chuck missing. She looked around and saw him standing next to the stage. Was he about to do what she thought he would? A knot formed in her stomach as she watched him talk to the guy in charge of the music. Chuck handed him a CD or something. She watched him walk towards the microphone. He looked really nervous. Was this what had bothered him the whole evening? He was actually gonna sing something. She didn't know what to expect, so she just watched him as he spoke.

"Hey everybody. So yeah... I'm really nervous about this. I'm going to sing a song and I'm going to dedicate this song to a very special person that I care about." He was looking her way. "This is for you"

Her mouth felt dry as she heard the music play something she never heard before, not that she knew much about songs in general. But as he started singing, she could only gape at him.

Spent 24 hours, I need more hours with you
You spent the weekend getting even, ooh

I spent last night in a fight with you

But now it's all good, babe
Roll that car good, babe
And play me close

Sarah couldn't really believe what she was hearing, the fact that her Chuck was singing... and singing really good, but that he sang about what happened between them this weekend. She kept looking at him as he continued. He was looking down at the ground in front of him as he concentrated.

'Cause girls like you run 'round with guys like me
'Til sun down when I come through
I need a girl like you, yeah yeah
Girls like you love fun and, yeah, me too
What I want when I come through
I need a girl like you, yeah yeah

She couldn't help being moved by what she was hearing, her hand on her chest as she kept listening.

Maybe it's 8:45
Maybe I'm barely alive
Maybe you've taken my shit for the last time, yeah
Maybe I know that I'm drunk
Maybe I know you're the one
Maybe you thinking it's better if you drive

She almost felt a tear going down her cheek. He was singing this beautiful song to her. She noticed the clock, it was actually 8.45! He had planned and timed this? And everything he was singing was exactly what had happened.

'Cause girls like you run 'round with guys like me
'Til sun down when I come through
I need a girl like you, yeah yeah
Girls like you love fun and, yeah, me too
What I want when I come through
I need a girl like you, yeah yeah

As the song came to an end, Sarah stood up and marched towards him. He didn't move a muscle as she grabbed his head and gave him a toe-curling kiss. It felt like forever. When they finally had to come up for air, they leaned their foreheads together. She slowly opened her eyes and stared right into the most amazing man she ever met. His brown eyes staring right back into her soul. She smiled and moved her head towards his ear and whispered. "Don't worry Chuck. Once you get that thing out of your head, I'm not going anywhere." She stepped back and looked at his face and a smile she thought was about to break his face. Yeah, her nerd. Forever.

A/N: Thanks for reading. PS! I know I have some stories on here that I never finished. So if anyone want to take over or use the idea for making their own fic, just send me a DM and that can be taken care off.
