Writer's Note:

A long time ago, one Halloween, I walked into the comic store while dressed up as Darth Maul and bumped into one of the folks working there, who happened to be dressed up as the iconic Spider Man.

Thinking back on that day and the fact that Star Wars and Marvel are popular, it just occurred to me: What if Spider Man and Darth Maul came face to face and had a battle royal, the web-slinger versus the Sith Lord, one on one?

Sit back, fanfic readers! You're in for a blast!

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Peter screamed as he fell through the colorful and swirling vortex, unsure of where he was going and what was waiting for him if he got out of this. Thankfully, this wasn't one of Quinton Beck's illusions, who was up for that again?

Just a short while ago, Peter had been trying to have a great day after the Battle of London, when the false superhero Mysterio struck out from beyond the grave with a pre-recorded message on the news and exposed Peter's identity as Spider Man.

The heroic high-school student was just expressing his shock when he found himself getting sucked through a wormhole, now he was on his way to who knew where. Wherever he landed, Peter hoped he could find a way to get back and somehow clear his name.

Peter still wore his mask and outfit that he'd made on the Stark-Jet while heading to London, his mask's eyes were wide with terror just as his regular eyes behind the mask were. This was nothing like traveling through space or getting snapped out of existance.

Luckily, the web-slinger didn't have to keep falling and falling. A bright light shone and Peter covered his eyes before his surroundings changed and the light faded... He found himself falling out of the sky towards barren ground.

"OH SHIT!" The superhero high-schooler cried, he frantically tried to open his suit's parachute, terrified that he might break something when he landed. BWOOMP! By miracle, his glide feature kicked in and Peter landed safely.

He stood up, shaking from the fall. Peter clutched his stomach, worried that he would lose his meal. Thankfully his food had long since digested, no need to worry about... whatever. Holding his head and shaking off dizziness, Peter took his time to assess his surroundings.

Wherever this place was, he wasn't on Earth in New York nor was he back on Titan. Peter was on some desert planet, in the ruins of some empty stadium. He wasn't alone either as a dark, towering and hooded figure approached him.

"Welcome, Peter Parker, also known as Spider Man..." The being said in a chilling voice, "Welcome to Boka'Za'Rah and I am Zuu'ma, son of Koy'rok, heir to the throne of Kan'zuka and Grand Sorcerer Battlemaster of all Gamemasters."

"Ok." Peter muttered, "Whaddaya want, Zuu'ma?"

"Using my powers, I peer into other universes and observe those with combat potential as they fight many battles. For years, I have peered into your universe and observed the likes of the Avengers. But, you have been the most interesting enough, so I've selected you."

"I take it you also battle those you drag from their worlds?"

"More like pit them against others to test their strength. Before I brought you here, I peered into a galaxy beyond the stars and selected a warrior so terrifying and fierce, not many stand a chance. Allow me to introduce you to your ultimate foe, Spider Man."

Zuu'ma snapped his fingers and vanished into thin air, Peter turned to see a platform rise up from a hole in the ground with yet another dark cloaked figure standing on it, his hood covering his face. Peter's... Peter-Tingle warned him of the inevitable danger.

The figure looked at him and lowered his hood, casting the cloak aside. Peter froze in terror as he gazed upon his foe: Tall, muscular, eyes colored orange, head lined with rows of horns and wearing only tights, it was...

"Spider Man..." Zuu'ma's voice boomed, "This is Darth Maul, a warrior trained by a master of darkness whom he served loyaly until a great battle in which a man named Kenobi struck him down, leaving Maul to his apparent grave.

"However, Maul survived the conflict and engaged in a destructive rampage across the stars on the hunt for vengeance against Kenobi. After observing his strength and after he escaped an empire's rise, I brought him here to test his strength and see how he fairs!"

"And you basically decided to have me be his foe...?" Peter warily concluded, knowing what was going to come next now, "Well, at least I have an idea of what I have to do now, just survive this guy long enough to get out of here."

"With no further delay..." Zuu'ma declared, "LET THE MATCH BEGIN!"

A bell dinged and Maul growled menacingly, baring his teeth. Peter got into a combat stance and replaced his fearful face with a face full of determination, he was not going to let this demonic-looking fighter get the best of him.

Darth Maul reached for his belt and drew a familiar looking weapon with a different design, Peter figured it was a lightsaber as, no sooner the cylinder-looking object was drawn, Maul pressed a button and a red energy blade ignited.

Peter wished he had his very own lightsaber, it would've been useful in situations like this. Until then, all he had to do was evade Maul's attacks and somehow beat the Sith Lord. The dark warrior twirled his lightsaber, eyes blazing, and then lunged for the teen.

With his spider-senses kicking in and combat reflexes ready, Peter ducked and dove out of the way of every incoming attack. He flipped over Maul's head as the Sith tried to gut him, Peter shot webs at his foe and got a lucky hit when the webs hit Maul in the eyes.

"You fool..." Maul growled softly, "You may have blinded me, but I don't need my eyes to see you as I try to attack you, Spider Man. The Force is still my ally and it allows me to see and feel anything, I know where you are and so there is no need for my eyes to tell me."

"WHOA!" Peter cried out, ducking and diving, flipping and rolling out of the way as Maul attacked more aggressively. Peter saw a pillar nearby and shot a web at it, swinging from pillar to pillar as he planned an attack on Maul.

The trained warrior threw his lightsaber, attempting to take down the web slinging teen with all his might, yet Peter was just as fast as Maul and dodged every attempted lightsaber strike. He crawled atop a pillar and looked down at his demonic-looking foe.

"Looks like I have the high ground!" The heroic high-school student called out to Maul. The Sith only laughed villainously, "It appears you underestimate my powers, Peter Parker, it will be your undoing for I am way stronger than you."

Before Maul could make a move, Peter found an energy staff laying nearby and obtained it. Holding it with both hands, the teen jumped down from the pillar and went straight tor Maul, swinging the energy staff with all of his enhanced human strength.

Maul held his lightsaber and tried to block Peter's attacks, it was now a vicious sword and staff clash with sparks flying and both sides struggling against each other. Peter fought hard, soon finding an opening and bonked Maul on the head.

The Sith staggered back, dazed and confused, giving Peter plenty of time to swing the staff and struck Maul. He grabbed the Sith's lightsaber and brought it down, cutting off his left hand and then impailed the horned warrior in the right knee.

Maul fell to the ground, worn out, and groaning in pain. Peter tossed down the lightsaber and the staff, took off his mask and wied some sweat off his forehead. Zuu'ma reappeared, laughing. "Peter Parker," He said, "I must say that it was nicely done."

"Does that mean I can go now?" Peter asked hopefully. Zuu'ma nodded, "Yes, you can, I am generous after all. Both you and Maul shall return to your respective dimensions, until we eventually meet again." *Snap*

The area around Peter shifted until he found himself falling through the void again, but this time, he was heading back home. Knowing that his dimension awaited on the other side, Peter relaxed and let the fall unfold...

The End
