Brutal Changes:
"Check Mike 49! Mike 49!" said Alex Richardson, the quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers. Wearing a #7 Jersey, the sounds of the spectators was incredibly loud at Levi's Stadium. Many 49ers fans were expecting to see 2 players make an impact play. The lined up skill players are wide receiver #11 Jason Scott, slot receiver #15 Nigel Ward, utility player #87 Jay Sharma, and running back #31 Hidetoshi Hamada. In a play action call, the center, #73 Winston Demarius snaps the ball to Alex and pulls a play action play. With 10 seconds left to go on the Eagles 44 yard line during the 4th quarter, Alex throws a Hail Mary to Jason Scott. As Jason Scott caught the ball, he was tackled by Eagles safety Trent Quill. Before Jason went down to the ground while tackled, he pulled a hook and ladder play, tossing the ball to Jay. With Jay being untouched after he got the ball, he scored a touchdown as the clock went zero. With the 49ers winning the game with a score of 42-41, the 49ers gained their 1st win of the season.
As the 49ers players celebrated their victory, they were huddled around Jay and Jason, who were the stars of the play.
"Scott! Sharma! Unbelievable!" said defensive tackle #55 Issac Martinez.
"Thanks, dawg! Now let's celebrate!" Jay cheered.
With that response, the rest of the 49ers team went in an uproar of celebration. Carrying Jay and Jason on their shoulders, the 49ers team made their way to their locker.
As every team member huddled to the locker, their coach Hunter Raymond Larson, commended Jay and Jason.
"Guys, we just faced a strong team, which nearly handed out our 1st loss. But, Jay and Jason, way to go, guys! You guys still kept fighting strong and still kept that optimism in your face. Cause, as of right now, you guys won your 49th regular season game as a 49er! Let's make it 50 next week!" said Coach Larson.
As the rest of the team cheered, Jay and Jason remained silent with a smile.
"That hook and ladder play was smart. You guys found ways to win and you guys just kept that coming. With you guys, we now have 3 undefeated seasons, 3 NFC Championships and 3 Superbowls in a row. That's the way to do it! You guys just set the tone for the division. But, it's one game at a time. We celebrate for 24 hours, and we come back here to put in the work! Jay and Jason! Come and say a few words," Coach Larson said.
With the rest of the team clapping, Jason decides to say his thought.
"Alright, we made this possible. Because of what we did out there on that field. Those guys had a chance in the beginning. But you guys didn't give that chance as the game was progressing. This is what I call a game. You never know when something might happen. But now, you guys made this win possible. We all did," Jason said.
"Guys! We played our asses off. But so did they. They had some mistakes along the way, but they came back from it. Even though we won, we still got to clean up our technique and skill. However, enjoy the 24 hours and come back to work! Remember, we gotta do this again. So get your bodies right and come back to work. One game at a time! Let's go! Niners on 3! 1,2,3! Niners!" said Jay.
As the team celebrated after Jay's and Jason's words, Jay and Jason were packing up their stuff.
"Yo. Halpert really got on my nerves, man. I mean, I'm pissed at him. He grabbed my face and nearly gave me a concussion. It was like deja vu from our game against Baylor during senior year," Jason expressed to Jay.
"I feel ya man. In my case, I'm pissed at Schrute. That guy called me an Indian n*gger back in our matchup against Harvard during our senior year. However, I took down his ass when I sacked him 3 times and nearly tore his ACL. And I'm surprised he still posted a 100+ passer rating with a pick six made by moi," Jay said.
"Dude, you don't want to have the personal rivalry contest! And I get you too, man. I'm really down for a car ride together. You wanna come?" Jason asked.
"Dude, what do you think? 7 years together and counting during our time in college and the NFL, hells yeah!" Jay said.
With both of the friends finishing packing up their gear, they headed to the house they owned together in San Jose by driving their co-owned blue 2036 Bugatti Veyron TMZ-RDX.
Jay Sharma and Jason Scott have the strongest friendship in the NFL. With both of them being roommates in Stanford, they've never been closer than ever. What brings them even closer is their their trust and faith on and off the field. With both of them being 2-round picks from the NFL Draft, they became elite players with contract extensions after winning 3 Super Bowls for the 49ers. From dating the same type of girls during college, they both graduated together with high honors and athletic awards. With Jay being a defensive tackle and tight end, Jason is a wide receiver.
"So you're gonna see Astrid, right?" Jason asked. "She must be quite exhausted with film-shooting. She's really wanting to see you."
"Yeah. About that. Her mom's coming over in a few days. Astrid told me that she's "clinically insane." Like, her behavior is erratic. And Astrid told me that she slept with some minors, which I think is highly absurd and not true. And now she's gunning for me. As in, she's been trying to have sex with me. I'm not Benjamin Braddock from the The Graduate for fuck's sake. What do you think I should do?" Jay asked.
Jason remained silent. After hearing what his best friend told him about his girlfriend's mom, Jason remembered his dad was in a relationship with someone who's also erratic and sexually domineering. Gaining wisdom on how to deal with the matter, he decides to counsel his friend.
"Jay, here's what you should do. Just try to avoid talking to her. If that's not possible, then don't talk too much. First off, does Astrid's mom like you?" Jason asked while he was driving.
"Yes. I mean she gave her blessing to marry Astrid. But Astrid knows that she's gunning for me. So, she suggested that she move in with me and have a live-in relationship. We're committed, you know. And, we care for each other, argue a few times, but in the end, we love each other no matter what. Dude, she's like the first woman who I genuinely loved. And I don't want to go into a depression again. Especially what happened with Aditi."
"No. I get that part. So she's gonna be with you know, for real?"
"Yeah. Aren't you gonna see your girl Cece?" Jay said.
"Well, with her family coming to San Francisco in a few days, it's hard for me to visit her."
"What is this? What aren't you telling me?" Jay questioned.
Jason sighed. "I'm dating Halpert's older sister. Dude, don't say a word about this to anyone. She told her parents about me, but she didn't tell Halpert. If he finds out, he's gonna lose his shit."
"Doesn't he always lose his shit? Given the hard hits he made on you?"
"Yeah. Listen. What does a girl with brains and beauty say to you as part of flirting?"
"A man who bought me a soda would have treated me with pathos instead of Mentos."
"That's what she said."
With that joke, they broke in laughter. When it comes to "That's what she said!," Jason and Jay often have this as a private joke between themselves. They never say it in public. Jason got this joke from his dad. He never expressed the phrase in public.
"How's Benjamin?"
"He's alright. He's got his second big game coming up next Saturday. He's sort of nervous, despite performing well yesterday."
"Cool. Hey, if you need help with your issues with Halpert. I got you man."
"Same here, when it comes to your issues with Astrid's mom."
As Jay and Jason were driving off to their house, Phillip Halpert and Phillip Schrute were arguing with each other about the game.
"You know, if it wasn't for that pick six to Jay Sharma, we would've won the damn game!" Halpert complained.
"Shut up, man! Like you never made a mistake on the field!" Schrute refuted.
"Hey! You're the one to talk. Offense screwed this game up! You ain't handling that QB pressure well," Halpert claimed.
"Says the guy who tried to kill his Stanford rival!"
"That's coming from a son of a facist, who just called Jay Sharma a n***** back in college!"
With the exchange of insults, they have a heated fight. Noticed by their teammates, they try to separate them. As their coaches noticed the commotion at the locker field, they try to break up the commotion.
"This isn't funny! Y'all should know this game was lost due to personal rivalries with players from Stanford. And I ain't naming who! Y'all should know that. Most of you guys were a team and I saw that on the field today. Giving it your all and going full on! But we need to forget about the rivalries. That is why we lost. As far as I'm seeing from Halpert, Schrute, and the rest of y'all, y'all are looking like a bunch of bums!" said the angry head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles, Jason Weller.
After the head coach finished, he called Halpert and Schrute to come have a discussion.
"Y'all are talented players. I'm not saying you aren't. But it's the anger management and grudges I'm having a concern about. It's negatively impacting the team as a whole. And I heard you guys want to be traded. The 49ers head coach James Larson called me. He knew y'all are back-ups to our injured boys. And since we're having them healthy again after coming back from the IR, I'm trading both of you for a 1st and 2nd round pick from the 49ers," Coach Weller revealed.
They were speechless. They didn't expect to be traded to the 49ers, whom their college rivals are playing with. Trying not to hide their disgust, they both kept it cool.
"Um, ok. So, when do we start leaving?" Phillip Halpert asked.
"I talked to coach Larson. Y'all are leaving the team today. And I think it's time to say your goodbyes to the team," Weller said.
"Aight," Halpert and Schrute said with disappointment.
After Coach left the room, he announced that he traded Schrute and Halpert to the 49ers. As a result, the Eagles team reacted with surprise and anger. But, they took it well and wished them farewell.
After the Eagles left with their bags, Halpert and Schrute started processing on joining a new team.
"How do you think Scott and Sharma would feel if they learned we're on their team now?" Halpert asked.
"Well, I have been looking to apologize to Sharma. You should apologize to Scott," Schrute revealed.
"Hey. I ain't apologizing to the fucker. That guy nearly tore my head off and my ACL. I ain't gonna apologize, whether you like it or not. And I ain't ending the beef with you. So keep your mouth shut," Halpert revealed.
"Dude, we don't always agree on the same things," Schrute said. "But sometimes, I feel like you're trying to insult me at the same time. That's what pisses me off."
"What do you mean, asshole?" Halpert asked.
"I mean, you call me out for every INT I make on offense, even on the pre-season. You talk way too much trash for a 'next-gen Richie Sherman," Schrute revealed.
"Hey, shut up. At least I can back that my talk on the field. What about you? I'm pissed that you threw a pick six on the penultimate drive on the Eagles offense. It's like your "superior-genes" are weakening," Halpert insulted.
"Anyhow, let's go to that inn near Levi's. And I heard Coach Larson is expecting us tomorrow. Plus, we're familiar with that offense, so no biggie," Schrute claimed.
"Right. See ya asshole," Halpert quipped.
After both of these guys left for the inn, Schrute got a call from his girlfriend.
"Hey, Sweety. How ya been?" Schrute said.
"It's good. But aren't we past the cute nicknames and all that?" Schrute's girlfriend said.
"Addison, if it weren't for you, I wouldn't be in football. Plus, I just got traded to the 49ers. So, hurray," Schrute revealed.
"Holy shit! That means you're closer to home now!" Addison exclaimed out of joy.
"Yeah! I'll be at your place tomorrow. Ok. You don't tell my mom or dad about this," Schrute said.
"Ok," Addison cheerfully said.
When Phillip Schrute ended the call, Phillip Halpert made a call to someone closer to home.
"Hey, sis. What's happening?" Halpert said.
"Aren't you supposed to be on a plane to Philadelphia?" someone said.
"Well, I got traded to the 49ers. I know, shocking. But at least I'm close to you," Halpert said.
"Holy shit! Do Mom and Dad know?" Halpert's sister asked.
"No, but I was hoping you would tell them," Halpert said.
"I'll tell them. Listen, I can't have you at my place tonight. I got a thing with my colleagues that time. Come in tomorrow, ok," Halpert's sister said.
"Aight. I'm staying at an inn for the time being. I'll talk tomorrow. I'm tired," Halpert said.
"Ok. That's my colleague. Bye!" Halpert's sister said when she heard a doorbell ringing.
When Halpert's sister rushed to the door in a sexy black cocktail dress with stylish high heels, makeup, and jewelry, she was looking nervous and excited for her 'colleague.'
"Jason! Hey boo!" Halpert's sister cheerfully said as she opened to see Jason Scott at her door.
"Hey baby! I haven't seen you for a while!" Jason said.
"Ever since you wanted to shield me from the paparazzi, I was slightly annoyed. But when I learned about the rivalry with your brother a few weeks ago, I felt it was the right decision to take," Halpert's sister said.
"Cecelia, look. I love you and your family. But I only have respect for your brother. I don't like him. But I respect him a lot. The reason I don't like him is because he tries to trash talk me," Jason said.
"Well, I get that. I just hope he doesn't make it personal, with you and me," Cecelia said.
"How's your mom and dad? You told me that we'll be meeting them in a few days. Plus, I'm not sure if your dad likes me," Jason said.
"I'm also having the same situation too. I mean, you haven't even told them about me," Cecelia said.
"Honestly, I was going to tell them. But, suddenly, everyone in my family is so busy, we've geographically became distant. Despite that, we still visit each other and have some deep talk. Just hang in there," Jason said.
"My parents have been protective of me. They don't want me getting into dates and relationships due to me being conceived out of wedlock. And now, they're concerned that I'm dating you right now. Like, they're very conservative about me dating boys. Like, they don't want me to get involved with athletes. However, I'm an athlete too!" Cecelia said with a serious tone.
"I didn't want to hear the wedlock part, but I get your concern and worry. Don't be scared. It'll be fine. They'll like me. So, hang in there, baby," Jason said.
"Oh, I forgot to tell you another thing. 2 players from the Philadelphia Eagles got traded to the 49ers for a few draft picks. Guess who they are," Cecelia said.
"Trevor Williams? Jalen Barr? Ravi Varma? Takeshi Yokumara? Enrique Genova? Roland James?" Jason guessed.
"It's actually my brother and Phillip Schrute," Cecelia nervously revealed.
When Jason heard Cecelia mention her brother and Phillip Schrute, he was wide-eyed. His eyebrows were pulled up and gave the expression of horror and shock.
"I need to wash my hands," Jason said calmly.
When Jason went to the bathroom, Cecelia was confused why he had to go.
"Arghhhhhhhhh!" Jason screamed out loud in the bathroom, freaking out Cecelia.
At the same time Jason was freaking about his arch-rival and potential brother-in-law joining his football team, the Philadelphian documentary makers of the Office: A Workplace made a call to Michael Scott, Dwight Schrute, Jim Halpert, Holly Scott, Pam Halpert, Angela Schrute, and Jan Levinson. The call was about meeting up for a reunion at Santa Clara, California. With that in mind, all of them accepted with excitement.
Around that time, an NFL documentary crew decided to focus on the 49ers team, because of their back-to-back Superbowl wins. The documentary crew is hoping to highlight Jason and Jay, as well as the new traded additions from the Eagles and other 49ers star players.
