Chapter Six- The visit
Withdrawn in his hut, Din had taken off his helmet. He enjoyed a mug of Spotchka from the carafe that Omera placed in his room.
Through a slightly open window Din watched Grogu. He was sitting with the other children by the campfire that was already set up and that would be lit tonight. His little protégé listened to a man who was telling a story with great gestures. He seemed to be listening intently, his eyes fixed on the man, only his ears kept moving, stood up or rolled up their outer tips when it seemed to be particularly exciting. He looked happy.
Din's face twisted into a bitter smile. The way was to bring the child to his own, even if it would have a happy life here.
He picked up the Spotchka carafe and filled another mug. He enjoyed the slight sting of the drink in his throat, Din took off his top. He wanted to have that liberated feeling of the bathhouse again. Din decided that he should rest a little before the festivities and lay down on the bed.
After a while there was a knock, the room was bathed in the golden light of the last rays of the sun. "Wait!" Din quickly grabbed his helmet, put it on, and headed for the door. Omera stood in front of the hut with his armor in her arms. She was surprised to see Din like that, but her eyes suggested that she was enjoying seeing more of him. Omera pulled herself together. "I removed the mud from your armor, I thought you'd like to have it for the festivities." Din had noticed Omera's lustful look at his body and was grinning under his helmet. "I thank you." he said in a firm voice.
Din stepped aside and had Omera bring his armor into the hut. "You found the Spotchka." Omera noted after laying Din's armor on the bed. "Yes, he's good." Omera looked at Din a moment too long. She took a deep breath and excused herself and fled the hut. Din closed the door and took off his helmet. Grinning, he enjoyed a little more of the Spotchka. Then he got ready for the festival that was about to begin.
Oh dear, how should it go on here. I am so indecisive. I look forward to reviews and ideas from you.
