Louie wasn't in the kitchen either. So far the search for him hadn't been going too well for Webby. She took a five minute break to snack and wondered how Dewey was doing.
Dewey's POV
Dewey was really worried about his baby brother. So he checked every room quickly. He was about an hour into his search when he considered checking the house boat outside. He knew Louie might have gone to their old home. But he also knew Louie probably wouldn't run out in the middle of a rain storm. He sat on the floor of one of the empty rooms to think. Where might his brother be hiding?
A few weeks earlier...
After the whole Della mystery was brought to light, Louie had been more emotional than usual. He would be happy one moment, then frowning the next. Others times he would start crying suddenly. His brothers thought it was all over after they saved Scrooge from Magica. He was happier, and stopped crying. But during a stormy night he had a nightmare. Dewey and Huey stayed up with him, but couldn't calm him down. Eventually they pulled out the sphere of Selene and watched memories of their mother.
Dewey finally realized where his brother was! He ran into the rain without an umbrella or jacket. While Louie wouldn't have wanted to go in the rain, he still would have to in order to get the sphere of Selene! He knocked on the door, and just as he expected, Louie answered. He had a small smile on his face as he held the sphere close to him.
Dewey didn't hesitate to hug his brother.
"Louie your okay!"
"Yeah, I was just looking at the sphere again," he said sadly. Louie let his brother come inside.
"What's wrong Louie? You've been acting weird lately. Did you have another nightmare about mom?"
"No," he lied. "I just felt like seeing the sphere again." Dewey put his hands on his shoulders and looked him in the eye.
"Louie. You can tell me the truth. Webby and I were looking for you for the past hour."
Louie started tearing up. "I was reading something online and-and-"
"And what? What is it Louie?"
"What if mom meant to abandon us. What if she never loved us!" Louie was fully crying now. Dewey took the sphere out of his hands and his hugged his brother. He knew Della loved them. Whatever Louie read online was wrong! He would prove it!
But first he needed to make a call. He guided Louie to the kitchen table, then dialed Donald's number.
"Come on, come on pick up."
"Dewey? What's wrong? Is everything okay?!"
"Yeah, everything's fine. Do you have any home videos of mom?"
"Home videos? There's some in her old room. Why?"
"Louie and I just wanted to see them. Is it okay if we watch them?"
"Sure. Just be sure to put them back where they are."
"Thanks Uncle Donald! We will!"
Dewey returned to his baby brother with a large umbrella in hand and a jacket for them both. Louie would hate to get his hoodie wet again. And Dewey was already feeling cold. They went back to the mansion with the sphere of Selene. Webby opened the door for them quickly.
"Aah! You found Louie!" She gave him a tight hug and kiss on the cheek. "We've were worried sick about you. What's wrong?"
Dewey answered for him. "He thinks mom didn't love us. But we're gonna prove that wrong!"
"How are you gonna do that?," Webby asked.
In Della's old room
"I can't wait for you boys to hatch. I got so many cute outfits to put you in!," Della said while she held up a camera to her three unhatched eggs. Donald made some angry incomprehensible noise behind her and the camera swiped away from the eggs to him. Donald was having trouble putting the crib together. Della laughed at her twin brother before she came over to help.
Video 2
Della was on screen putting a diaper on one of the eggs. Donald was laughing behind the camera. "It's a bit early for that don't cha think Della?"
"Not at all! They're gonna hatch any week now! I gotta be ready to change three diapers at once!"
Video 3
Della was singing a lullaby to the eggs now. It was soft and soothing, and would later be used by Donald with his nephews. Della concluded the song, and the video faded to black.
"I guess mom did love us," Louie said when the video ended. He was leaned against his brother who had an arm around him. Webby was squeeing from the cuteness.
"Your guys were so cute as babies!"
Dewey started to rock his brother back and forth. "Thanks?"
Beakley called them from the kitchen,"Kids it's time for lunch!"
Louie perked up and ran out the room. "Finally! I'm starving!"
Dewey and Webby were close behind.
The End
AN: If your confused, basically Louie read an real person fic about their family, and it made it seem like Della didn't love them. Real person fiction is basically fan fiction about real people or celebrities.
