Homecoming:
After the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the 49ers have became undefeated yet again. Beating the entire NFC South, Minnesota Vikings, AFC West, and the rest of the NFC West teams, the 49ers have clinched the top seed of the NFC Conference. Being both offensively and defensively elite, the 49ers have beaten many NFL records. After the regular season, their playoff matches have been extremely easy for them. They managed to beat the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC Division Championship and the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship. After winning the NFC Championship, they are going to be heading to the Super Bowl 81 in Philadelphia, where they will face the New England Patriots, who also had a great season like the 49ers. Also, 18 players were nominated into the Pro Bowl, including Jay, Jason, Schrute, and Halpert. In addition, Halpert, Schrute, Jay, and Jason were named as first team All-Pro members.
Before Schrute joined the 49ers, he had a passer rating around 90-95. But, with better coaching and a powerful receiving core, Schrute has put up a perfect passer rating with 60 passing touchdowns, 7,000 passing yards, 90% completion percentage, 0 interceptions, 15 rushing touchdowns, and 1,000 rushing yards. Along with the start of a successful career, he was being praised by many great quarterbacks, including Drew Brees, Kyler Murray, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Josh Allen, Justin Herbert, Patrick Mahomes, and Lamar Jackson. Even sports critics were raving about him. With a successful career, Schrute has engaged in a serious relationship with Addison Michaels, his popstar girlfriend.
With Halpert being a strong addition to the 49ers' secondary defense, he played an integral part of the 49ers being the No.1 pass defense. In Week 11, the 49ers beat the Seattle Seahawks, which the retired Pete Caroll watched. He stated in an interview that watching Halpert play reminded him of Richard Sherman. Along with allowing a 7.2 passer rating on any coverage, Halpert became a top cornerback in the game. With that success, Halpert has proposed to Emily Scott, who happily accepted.
While Jason was considered one of the best offensive skill players on the team, people have been saying that this has to be his best season yet as he beat last year's stats. Also, he took up the deal with Dunder Mifflin, signing a $10 million endorsement contract. Also, he started to make wedding plans with Cecelia, where they planned to have their wedding at Scranton. Although Jason agreed to have their wedding at Scranton, he was a little uneasy about it.
Also, Jay also had his best season. Racking up 2,500 receiving yards, 19 receiving touchdowns, 300 rushing yards, and 5 rushing touchdowns in his time on the 49ers offense, Jay was praised as the most versatile player in 49ers history. Also, his defensive stats have heavily improved with him gaining 19 sacks, 39 QB pressures, 78 Tackles, 44 of them causing loss of yards, 2 interceptions, and 3 defensive scores by the end of the season. Also, Astrid and Jay have made their marriage public and announced their pregnancy, much to the surprise and astonishment of both sports and film industries. As of right now, Astrid is 7 and a half months pregnant. When Astrid was 10 weeks pregnant, Jay and her were ecstatic to learn that they'll be parents to twins.
As for Coach Larson, he's gradually getting close to Jan. He was also named the Coach of the Year. While Jay got a little close to Coach Larson, he also gave some advice on getting back together with Jan. Also, Astrid struck up a friendship with Coach Larson, despite knowing that it was her long-lost dad.
While the 49ers held practices on the week of the Pro Bowl, Coach Larson decided to give Schrute, Halpert, Jay, and Jason the week off because they were giving it their all during the entire season and the playoffs. With that in mind, Jay, Jason, and Halpert learned Phillip Schrute's birthday was on February 2nd, which was the day of the Super Bowl. Making a decision to celebrate his birthday a week early, they decide to celebrate it at Scranton.
When Jay, Jason, Phillip Halpert, and Phillip Schrute arrived at Scranton, Pennsylvania on January 25, 2020, they kept low profiles at their airport to avoid being seen by other players. While Halpert and Schrute got along with the other players, they had really deep friendships with Jay and Jason. Also, both of them have overcame their grudge and have gotten along.
"Wait a second. You're saying that you and Halpert are born here in Scranton?" Jason asked.
"Yeah. I mean, I didn't know Halpert back then. But, I think it's a good idea to learn where my parents came from," Schrute said. "Wasn't your dad born in Scranton, too?"
"He was. This was where he had a difficult childhood filled with loneliness and parental neglection," Jason said.
"You do not want to talk about that subject," Halpert warned.
"This is also where Astrid was born too. And this is where I proposed to her. Never thought I'd be coming alone without Astrid," Jay said.
"Yeah. Dude, how is she? Is she feeling alright?" Schrute asked.
"She is. She's being cared for by my parents and sister, Ramsey. After we learned that we're going to have twins, we were really ecstatic. I mean, I dreamed of having kids, preferably twins. And when that happened, I started feeling some responsibility on my shoulders," Jay said.
"Hmm. You're a lucky dude. And a great guy," Halpert said.
"So, where are we going to be staying for the week?" Jason asked.
"Ok. So we'll be staying at Mohegan Sun Pocono for the night. We'll be going to New York City the next day and stay there for the 4 days. Then, we'll be staying at Schrute Farms for the next two days. And we'll meet up with our team at Courtyard by Marriott Philadelphia South at The Navy Yard," Schrute explained.
"May I ask why we need to take a room at a casino resort?" Jay questioned.
"Well, I've been a little stressed out and I feel like I need to blow off a little steam," Schrute said.
"I see. Well then. Let's head to the Dunder Mifflin Scranton branch. We're gonna be giving the guys who knew our parents a surprise," Schrute said.
As the 4 of them took a taxi, they headed off to the building of Scranton Business Park. While noticing how things have changed, Phillip Schrute realized that his father still owns the place.
"Just for a reminder, my dad owns this building. He bought it off of someone," Schrute said.
"How can he buy off a building?" Jay asked.
"He was one of the best salesman this branch ever produced. As of right now, Dunder Mifflin Scranton is the biggest and most elite branch of the company. I'm surprised to see how the park expanded," Schrute said.
"Hmm. That makes sense. However, you gave a spoiler. Especially since we've finished Employee Transfer," Jay reminded.
As a result of their friendship, Jay, Jason, Schrute, and Halpert watched the Office episodes. They've got lots of laughs out of it. Even Astrid seems to enjoy the show so much that the babies have been kicking more frequently than often. With enjoyment, they hated some moments of the show.
What Jason despised the most was watching his parents split up because of a transfer. With that anger, it reminded Jason to not strike up a friendship with David Wallace. Jay was terrified to watch Jan emotionally abuse Michael, warning himself to avoid Jan after Astrid's pregnancy and delivery in March. Schrute hated the moment where Andy Bernard tried to turn Michael against Dwight in Traveling Salesman. Halpert disliked the fact that his mother rejected his father twice before getting together in Season 3.
"You know, I was wondering about something. Why don't we visit Schrute Farms Luxury Resort?" Jay suggested.
"Hmm. It'll be nice to see my little brother again," Schrute said. "We'll do that, but first, we need to visit a senator that I know personally."
"Who?" Jason asked.
"Oscar Martinez," Schrute simply said.
Jason was surprised. He never expected that he'll be meeting the person who was mild-mannered much like his about-to-be father-in-law. Jason also never expected that he'll be meeting the guy his dad outed and kissed in front of the whole office.
As Phillip Schrute went inside the office building, he was quickly met up by Oscar Martinez, who was in business attire and showed some grey hairs.
"Phillip! I thought you were in the Bay Area! What brings you here?" Oscar asked.
"Well, me and a few teammates of mine were given the week off. We'll be playing in Philadelphia next week," Schrute said.
"I see. Well, I can't wait to meet them. Where are they?" Oscar asked.
"They're outside. I told them to wait," Schrute said.
"Ok. I just finished work and I'm currently heading to 3030 Adams. It's Happy Hour today. And your friends can join us," Oscar explained.
"Oh. Sweet. Can we get a ride?" Schrute asked.
"Hey. You kept your sports car at the branch's parking space. And I still have it and its keys. So go ahead," Oscar said, showing him the keys of Schrute's sports car.
"Is it still working?" Schrute asked anxiously.
"It is. The battery's still on and you're in for a treat," Oscar said. As Oscar and Schrute walked toward the parking lot, Schrute ran toward his blue 2036 Ferrari 488 RDX Spider. Getting his car, he turned on the engine and enthusiastically drove to where Jay and the others are. When they saw Schrute in the sports car, they were speechless.
"Are you fucking kidding me?! You had this in the parking lot for 4 months?!" Jason incredulously said.
"Bruh, this has got to be the best surprise you've given us. So where we headed?" Halpert asked.
"3030 Adams. It's Happy Hour," Schrute explained.
"Alright, let's go!" Jay said, enthusiastically getting inside and calling shot gun. The others sat on the rear seats, feeling comfortable by the leather of the car seats. They were surprised that it also has a video-playing device.
As Schrute and company drove to 3030 Adams, they were about to have the fun of their lives. Hoping to enjoy the day, they were met by someone that Schrute remembered. A bald bartender who seemed to know him personally.
"Phillip! Long time man! How've you been?" the bald bartender said.
"It's been great Kevin. Yeah, I brought a few friends of mine," Schrute said.
When Kevin Malone saw 3 other great players at the bar, he was speechless and ecstatic.
"Everyone! The best players in football history have arrived at Poor Richard's Pub on this very special day! Give them a round of applause!" Kevin said in praise.
As everyone in the bar looked at the four, they were speechless. Though they personally are Philadelphia Eagles fans, they had massive respect and fanfare for Jay, Jason, Schrute and Halpert because of their talent and work ethics.
As every patron in the bar asked for autographs, Schrute and company decided to sign autographs, much to the excitement of the patrons.
What turned into a normal day at Poor Richard's Pub turned into a 49ers autograph signing. After Jay, Jason, Schrute, and Halpert signed the autographs, they wanted something to eat and drink. Since Kevin owns the bar, he decided to let them eat for free because they signed lots of autographs. Out of gratitude, Jay, Jason, Schrute and Halpert decided to order 3 food items and a drink for each person.
Jay ordered a plate of mozzarella sticks, the Rodeo Burger, a S'more brownie and a Hershey's Chocolate Porter. Jason ordered Nachos Grande, a Philly cheesesteak, an orange sherbert and a Orange is the New Ale. Schrute ordered Chicken Tenders, a grilled cheese sandwich, a macadamia cookie, and a Traditional Lager. Halpert ordered Breaded Ravioli, grilled chicken salad, a Lava cake and a Samuel Adams Winter Lager.
When they were having their meal, they were met up by Oscar, who also brought the rest of the office members, who were very ecstatic to meet them.
"OMG! I can't believe I'm meeting legends face to face!" said a redhead woman.
"I'm surprised that these 3 grew up. Though I really don't know the Indian guy," said an elderly woman with glasses.
"Is this what you brought us for Oscar?" said a middle aged man who looks like he's the man in charge of the Scranton Branch.
"You know, I'm surprised that we'll be meeting these guys," said an elderly man next to the elderly woman with glasses.
"Hmm. Not bad for football players to come down and visit this place in Scranton," said another redheaded woman.
While Oscar introduced the office employees to the players, they were really ecstatic.
"Um, I'm not sure if you remember me, Phillip, but I used to work with your dad," said the elderly woman with glasses.
"Phyllis, right? Phyllis Vance, the wife of Bob Vance, Vance Refrigeration?" Jason clarified.
"Yup. And I'm surprised you learned about this town, though you didn't grow up here," Phyllis said.
"Hey, Jason. By the way, great catch in the 2nd quarter against the Saints. You had Jalen Lattimore on skates the whole game," said Bob Vance. "And I want to say how impressed I am with how you tuned out your dad into a respectable man."
"He was a jack-ass back then. Not anymore. Besides, he sees me as my pride and joy," Jason said.
"Oh, by the way, Phyllis. Remember Astrid Levinson? The Academy award-winning actress? That's her husband," Oscar said, pointing to Jay.
"Oh my god! I've been hearing your name all over the news! And congratulations on being an upcoming father," Phyllis congratulated.
"Thanks. It's surprising that I'll be meeting those who worked in the office of the documentary I saw," Jay said.
"Ah. It's nice to see both Phillips and Jason. Besides, I'm surprised that they came to Scranton unannounced," Oscar said.
"Um, if you mind, can we get a picture with you all?" the perky redhead said.
"Sure," Schrute said.
As the office employees get a picture with the players, they socialize with them.
In a conversation, Oscar was talking to Jay.
"So you're the son-in-law that Jan Levinson wouldn't stop talking about?" Oscar said.
"Yeah. I started to learn what she really is. But the worst thing about it is that she has a fetish for minors. What is she, a pedophile?" Jay asked.
"In some way. But, she's a nice woman. And you're lucky in a way. By marrying her daughter and being an upcoming parent, you seemed to diminish your image as a young boy," Oscar said. "And I'm surprised to learn that your coach is Astrid's father. Does she know?"
"Yeah, she did. And she doesn't want to talk about it," Jay said. "I've been meaning to ask you. What do you think of the Scott family overall?"
Oscar thought about it deeply.
"Ok. My opinion is that they're a relationship-oriented family who have lots of love for each other. Along with that, they're a household name in sports," Oscar expressed.
"That's a good opinion. You do know that Jason hates David Wallace, right?" Jay said.
"I know. Everyone in the corporate knows about it. And the anger that Jason has, it hasn't reached Wallace's ears luckily. They just assume David had some dumb luck into signing him for an endorsement contract," Oscar said.
"There's something you need to know about Michael," Jay said.
As Jay told Oscar about Michael's tragic childhood and the deeds he did for the office's welfare, Oscar was brought to tears.
"God! I can imagine Jason being justly angry at David. And I'm glad you and Michael convinced him to put aside his feelings and look at it as a business deal," Oscar said.
"Yeah. Anyhow, are you going to be at the Superbowl in Philadelphia?" Jay asked.
"I have to. It's Phillip's birthday and I'm his godson. Plus, I'm the senator who has to flip the coin for who gets to kick or receive the ball," Oscar said.
"Oh. Ok. We're holding an early surprise birthday party for him on the day of the Pro Bowl at Schrute Farms. I was wondering if you can tell me what Phillip likes the most," Jay said.
"Wait? A surprise birthday party?" Oscar said.
"Yeah," Jay said.
"Oh. He's surely going to love it," Oscar revealed. "And may I ask why you picked a fight with Phillip many years ago?"
"Why?" Jay curiously asked.
"You guys used to fight a lot and I heard about the racial slur incident," Oscar said.
"Well, we didn't really know each other and I figured that's what caused the fight. Besides, there was a lot of pressure on him and I don't blame him," Jay said.
"That's humble of you Jay. And I'm surprised that you became good friends with my godson," Oscar said.
"Yeah. Do you know any hotspots at Scranton?" Jay asked.
"There's the Anthracite Heritage Museum, Lackawanna Coal Mine Tour, Everhart Museum, and Lahey Family Fun Park," Oscar said.
"Thanks," Jay said.
As Oscar finished talking to Jay, Phyllis was talking to Jason.
"So you're engaged to Pam's daughter, Cecelia?" Phyllis asked.
"Yeah. I had no idea that she was the daughter of the other couple that I adored, besides my parents," Jason humbly said.
"Well, it's nice to see you. How's your father doing?" Phyllis asked.
"He retired from a government job and he's my sports agent," Jason revealed.
Phyllis is surprised. She never expected Michael to be active even after he retired.
"You know about his salesman skills, right?" Phyllis asked.
"Yeah. He's a great salesman. He's also a great sports agent. He negotiated that endorsement contract with Dunder Mifflin. Though I knew it would be easy from his side, there was some disagreement on my side," Jason said.
"What do you mean? Did Michael do something wrong?" Phyllis questioned.
"No. I have this dislike for David Wallace. He's the type of guy who puts business as a top priority. Though I get he's running a multi-national company, he's somewhat a guy who is apathetic to office relationships," Jason said.
"Is this about him splitting up your parents?" Phyllis asked.
Jason nodded and Phyllis understood.
"Well, sometimes holding onto grudges is unhealthy. It doesn't help you much," Phyllis advised.
"I get the advice and I'll take it. But I ain't gonna stop hating on David Wallace. There'll come a day where I respect him, but I'll still dislike him," Jason said to Phyllis before leaving the conversation.
When the players said goodbye, the decided to drive around Scranton for the day. They visited many places that Oscar mentioned and had a very good time, which Halpert called the best day of his life, in terms of having fun.
When they came to Mohegan Sun Pocono, they were dressed up as incognito to avoid any unwanted attention. When they checked into their rooms, they decided to have a little fun playing in the casino while being dressed as incognito.
While Jay and Jason play poker, Schrute and Halpert played roulette. With all four being victorious and earning huge wins through small bets, they decide to leave the casino. While they left the casino, they bumped into someone who looked exactly like Jay with an extremely gorgeous woman with blue eyes and wavy dark brown hair. Everyone was astonished by that fact except for Jay. Noticing Jay's unfazement, Jason deduced that he's probably Jay's twin brother or doppleganger and the woman with that man is probably his girlfriend or wife.
Also, the man noticed the person who exactly like him. When he stopped walking, he was surprised to see him when he turned around.
"You know that guy?" Jason asked.
Jay sighed.
"That's my twin brother, Jeff Sharma. He's a very talented actor in Hollywood. You may know him from Straight A Trevor and The Spaceheart movie. The woman with him is also an Academy-award winning actress like Astrid. Her name's Samantha Evans," Jay said.
"Jay! The hell you doing here?" Jeff asked.
"I'm here enjoying my boy Jason's bachelor party," Jay claimed.
"Huh. Jason Scott, huh? Heard about that engagement with Cecelia Halpert. Congrats, man," Jeff said to Jason.
"Thanks. How've you been Jeff?" Jason asked.
"Well, never been better. Thanks to Jay here, people have been confusing me with him. And not gonna lie, your NFL players have been confusing you with me," Jeff said.
"Isn't that a bad thing," Schrute said.
Jeff looked at Schrute and was annoyed.
"Aren't you that Harvard QB who called Jay the N-word? I wanted to fucking kill you when I heard the news. But you're lucky. Jay told me to let it go," Jeff said.
"Oh. Yeah, I apologize for that," Schrute said.
"I'm gonna forgive you once. You mess with my brother again, you're gonna get it from me," Jeff warned while seemingly forgiving him.
"What brings you to Scranton?" Jay asked.
"I'm here for the film shooting for the movie, Enchantment," Jeff said.
"Wait, you're in the movie, Enchantment?" Jay asked.
"Well, I got the lead role and I'm playing this dude who dislikes movie stars due to them being vapid and fake," Jeff said.
"Bruh, boundaries!" Jay said, not wanting any spoilers.
"Right, sorry. Anyhow, I'm gonna come to the game in 2 weeks," Jeff said. "See you later man. Have fun on Jason's bachelor party."
When Jeff and Samantha left, Schrute and Halpert were surprised and astonished by the fact Jay has an identical twin brother.
"How come you never told us you had a twin brother?" Schrute asked.
"Well, since I got into the sports industry and he got into the film industry, we thought it was best not to reveal ourselves as related. That's because we don't the public confused by our identities," Jay said.
"That makes sense. Should we head out and split the money we earned 4 ways?" Halpert said.
"Dude, I've been tired for the day. When we get to New York, we got to study the Super Bowl playbook and get ourselves fit for the game," Jason said.
"He's right. Just because Coach gave us the week off doesn't mean that we slack off," Schrute said.
"So, we head to our rooms then?" Jay said.
"Yup. And I feel that we need to head out to NYC early in the morning," Schrute said.
With the others agreeing with the plan, they decided to get some sleep after they split the money 4 ways. When they split the casino money they earned with luck, they go to their rooms and remember the day they enjoyed on the Homecoming of Phillip Halsted Schrute.
