The Business Deal:

After enjoying their time in New York City, Schrute, Halpert, Jason, and Jay felt like they had the best vacation ever as friends. Wishing their loves have joined them, they decide to enjoy every last minute of it like a bachelor party. What Schrute, Halpert, and Jay don't know was that on their last day in New York City, Jason is supposed to sign an endorsement contract with Dunder Mifflin.

However, Jason is doing so under his father's request. Personally, Jason hates David Wallace with a passion. Although he hates David Wallace, he has respect for him as a businessman when he bought back Dunder Mifflin and transformed it into a multi-million dollar company.

When Jay, Jason, Halpert, and Schrute were walking along the streets of New York City, they decided to head to head out for some New York style pizza. Arriving at Norma Gastronomia Siciliana, they ordered a Margherita Pizze. While they were enjoying their pizza, they started to talk about their loved ones.

"You know, I was pretty surprised that this is the year my relationship with Astrid comes to light," Jay said.

"Dude, it's been 3 years. I mean, the relationship has to come out somehow," Jason said.

"Yeah. It's kind of weird that there's another Braynahan pairing. After 3 decades," Schrute said.

"Can you stop comparing me and Astrid's relationship with The G.O.A.T and his ex's relationship?" Jay requested.

"Sorry, I just can't seem to think of another example," Schrute said.

"Hate to break it to you, but Schrute's right. You guys are like Braynahan," Halpert said.

"Say that one more time and you're paying the complete bill," Jay warned. "Same goes for Jason and Schrute."

"Ok. I'm sorry," Halpert said.

"So, Jason. How's that endorsement contract coming in?" Jay asked.

"You mean the one with Coco-Cola? It's alright. I mean, Pepsi wanted to rope me in, but they're a general sponsor to the NFL, so not really my best scene. I want to have an identity of my own," Jason said.

"I was about Dunder Mifflin," Jay said.

Jason froze. He gave Jay a dirty look.

"Right, sorry. Didn't mean to push around the sensitive bush," Jay said.

"Wait, what about Dunder Mifflin?" Schrute said.

Jason gulped down his chewed on bite and decided to speak.

"It's a long story. But, I rather not talk about it," Jason said. "Besides, let's eat. We got to leave tomorrow evening."

"Wait, I thought we were leaving tomorrow morning," Jay said.

Jason, realizing that he blew his cover, decides to come clean about his signing with Dunder Mifflin.

"Ok. I'm going to sign an endorsement contract with Dunder Mifflin under my father's request. Although the company is down to earth, I have an intense hatred for the CEO for that company," Jason revealed.

"Wait, David Wallace?" Schrute said.

"Yeah. And he's the asshole who split my parents up when my mom was transferred to Nashua," Jason said.

Realizing that this is personal, Schrute decided to back off and restrain himself in asking anymore questions.

"Dude, you haven't even met the guy. How can you not like him?" Jay said.

"Jay, you're right. But I care about my parents and I won't tolerate it if someone splits up my parents," Jason said. "You have no idea about how much sorrow my mom and dad were under."

"Is it because we just watched them on Employee Transfer? You've been holding a huge grudge against him," Jay said. "And I felt sorry for your parents too. And you can't just hate David Wallace because he split up your parents."

"He did even more than that. He hired a egoistic MBA graduate who hasn't made a sale to be the next Vice President of Northeastern Sales and the graduate embezzled money from the goddamn company!" Jason argued.

"Ok. What else?" Jay questioned.

"He failed to properly value my dad, who managed an extremely successful branch during the economic crisis of 2009," Jason said.

"He did that?" Jay said, surprised.

Jason nodded.

Running out of arguments, Jay decided to stop questioning him. Afterwards, they finished their pizza meal. While they were walking back to the Marriott, they decided to get to their room, where they got the biggest surprise of their life.

"Astrid! How'd you get here?" Jay asked, surprised to see Astrid.

"Cece! What're you doing here?" Jason said.

"Emmy! What a surprise!" Halpert said.

"Addy! How come you're here?" Schrute asked.

"Well, we guys thought you guys needed a little company. We missed you guys," Astrid said.

"Besides, it's been lonely without you guys," Cecelia said.

"Plus, we got a surprise for Phillip Schrute," Emily said.

"You're gonna love it babe," Addison said to Schrute.

"You guys know about my birthday?" Schrute asked, surprised about it.

"Of course we knew. Addison told us," Astrid said. "Plus, we also heard about you guys enjoying the East Coast."

"Right. It's like a birthday party, which lasts longer than a wedding, right?" Jay said to the girls

"I'm surprised you guys planned a party at Schrute Farms," Addison said.

"Wait, you guys are planning my birthday party on Schrute Farms?" Schrute said.

Jason realized the cat's out the bag and told the truth, leaving Schrute astonished.

"Thanks, guys. I really appreciate it," Schrute said, giving his male friends a group hug.

While the gang had a group hug, Astrid called out to Jay to have a private conversation with him.

"Baby, I have something to tell you," Astrid said.

"What is it?" Jay said.

"You remember your brother Jeff, right?" Astrid said.

"Yeah, what about him?" Jay said.

"He's in a serious relationship with Samantha Evans. He got engaged to her 4 days ago at the Mohegan Sun Pocono resort while they were filming Enchantment," Astrid said.

Jay was shocked.

"Are you kidding me? How come he didn't tell me?" Jay asked.

"Well, your sister Ramsey found out and she was pissed. However, your parents received the news with a positive response," Astrid said.

"Whew! That's good to know," Jay said in relief. "But, why was Ramsey pissed?"

"Because she didn't want another actress to be her sister-in-law," Astrid jokingly said.

Jay chuckled at the joke.

"But, seriously. Why was she pissed?" Jay asked.

"Well, she was pissed because Samantha's blunt nature and critical attitude didn't suit well with her," Astrid said.

"Wait, they met before?" Jay asked.

"Yup. At the first filming schedule of Enchantment. Ramsey told me that she's somewhat too honest and a perfectionist, something that makes her think that she's uptight," Astrid said.

"Oh god," Jay said.

"What's wrong?" Astrid asked.

"Astrid. Whenever my sister finds a woman uptight, she develops an instant dislike for that woman," Jay explained.

"Oh god. What's Jeff gonna do now?" Astrid asked.

"Well, he just dug a hole that he trapped himself into. Now he has to dig himself out of it," Jay said.

After agreeing that Jeff should appease Ramsey, they head inside the room. When they went in, they found Jason arguing with Halpert.

"Dude, you gotta give Wallace a chance! I get that he hurt your family, but that was before they were even a family," Halpert reasoned.

"Remember what happened after my mom and dad split? My dad has gone through about 2 break-ups and he did not enjoy it at all. And one of those break-ups was with your grandma," Jason reasoned.

"Dude, you're being irrational! I didn't say to go forgive with Wallace. I'm just asking you to not take things personally with him," Halpert explained.

Jason, giving it a little thought, felt that it shouldn't hurt to talk to Wallace.

"Fine. But if he steps out of line, he's gonna get it from me," Jason warned before leaving the hotel room for some time to get his head right.

As Jason walked by Jay and Astrid, they were surprised.

"Why the long faces? Let me guess, it's about that alleged jerk-off David Wallace," Jay guessed.

"Yup. And he's not a jerk-off, man. Look, I've met the guy. Of course, he can be business-minded and somewhat a heartless asshole, but he's an okay guy," Halpert said.

"Dude, you said heartless and business-minded. You just made Jason's case," Jay quipped.

This caused Halpert to be silent, resulting in him being embarrassed.

"However, I am concerned about Jason. Sounds like he's gonna lose it," Jay said.

"Say what?" Halpert asked.

"He's been quite angry with him and I'm really concerned. He's been a little vengeful. Like last time, I accidentally went through his diary and I saw some hate speech written on tomorrow's page," Jay explained. "I think he plans on humiliating David Wallace."

With that theory, everyone is appalled. Wondering what Jason might do, they feel a little more worried about Jason.

"Why would Jason hate David Wallace? Am I missing something?" Addison said.

"You remember Employee Transfer? With the couple that was forced to break-up due to long distance?" Schrute said.

Ringing a bell, Addison chimed in.

"Oh! Jason's basically the son of the couple and Emily's the daughter of the couple," Addison said.

"Exactly. And I'm also concerned too. Should I tell Jason not to sign the deal?" Emily suggested.

"That could work. But if he's still decides to sign the contract, tell him that we're coming with him as well for some moral support," Jay said.

Thinking this idea could work, they all agree to the idea. While the gang's respective couples left to rooms that were taken by the female person in each couple, Jay and Astrid stay behind.

"You know, it's been so long since I've seen you. How's our kids?" Jay asked, looking at Astrid's belly.

"Well, I also have a surprise for you. We're gonna be parents to boy and girl twins!" Astrid revealed.

An astonished Jay was so happy and excited. Out of joy, he hugged Astrid.

"Oh my god! This is so great! Have you thought of names yet?" Jay asked.

"Well, I was thinking about naming the boy after Jason or your childhood friend Damien. For the girl, I was thinking naming her Susan or Jana," Astrid said. "What do you think?"

"I'm okay with the boy names. But the girl names, aren't those the names of my grandmas?" Jay asked.

"I had no idea about what to name our girls. So I asked your sister for some suggestions," Astrid revealed.

"It's aight. Anyhow, I was wondering what to do since we have some alone time," Jay said.

"What do you have in mind?" Astrid romantically asked.

"Watching Twilight or more Office episodes," Jay suggested.

"The Office," Astrid said.

"Ok. Where did we leave off of?" Jay asked.

"We finished The Surplus," Astrid said.

"Damn. I hated it when Oscar was selfish for a new copier," Jay said.

"Maybe we should watch Moroccan Christmas and see where that goes," Astrid said.

"Deal," Jay said, as he took out his computer from his laptop and popped in the CD which has the season 5 content of the Office.

After they watched Morrocan Christmas, the babies were kicking constantly.

"Are our kids enjoying the show?" Jay joked.

"Probably. I think they're having lot of laughs," Astrid said.

"Hey, Phyllis had balls to expose Angela and Dwight. And the way Dwight reacted to Phyllis's outburst is somewhat creepy," Jay said.

"You mean the way he became amused? I get it. He could've been somewhat embarrassed," Astrid said. "I'm surprised no one said anything about Angela to Andy. It's like leading Clay Jensen to blissfully be unaware of the pain Hannah Baker was under until he heard the tapes."

"Hate to say it, but I really appreciate if you don't use lots of 13RW references right now. I'm taking a break on it," Jay said.

"Sorry. So, where do you wanna go in New York? It'll be just the two of us," Astrid said.

"Probably a movie-theater. You know Jeff just starred in a new movie with Anushka Anand called Party Animals?" Jay said.

"The one with the married couple refusing to be honest with one another due to refusing to giving up their partying lifestyles?" Astrid said.

"Yup. Gotta say, Jeff's the heartthrob of Hollywood right now," Jay said. "I'm surprised he got himself into a relationship with Samantha Evans."

"Yeah. Wait till he ropes you into acting and he's gonna regret it cuz' you'll be stealing his thunder," Astrid said.

"Let's go. Hope you tickets," Jay said.

"Already got'em, mi amor," Astrid sweetly said, pulling out movie tickets from her handbag.

- The next day in the morning -

With Jason being accompanied by his girlfriend, friends, and their love interests, he heads into the reception of Dunder Mifflin HQ.

While they sit on really comfy sofas, they expect to be meeting the man who split up Michael and Holly. Although Jason felt more confident and less short-tempered, his intense resentment for Wallace still stands.

Although they were together, they were surprised at the arrival of Michael.

"Dad, what are you doing here?" Jason asked as Michael came out of the HQ door.

"Hey, Jason," Michael said while signaling Jason that they need to have a private talk.

When Michael and Jason went to a place of privacy, they started talking.

"Before you sign, I have something to tell you. And why are your friends here?" Michael said.

"They're here to look out for me. You know how I am with Wallace," Jason said.

"Well, that's why I'm here. Phyllis and Oscar called and told me that you have a rabid hatred for Wallace. Why would you have that for him? What did he do?" Michael asked.

"What do you mean, Dad? Did you forget that he was the guy that split you up by transferring Mom to Nashua? Did you also forget the fact he hired a Vice President who embezzled from the company?" Jason seriously questioned.

"That was the past. I told you that many times. I mean, sure he can be ungrateful and selfish at some moments. But he's a good CEO. Why would you resent him?" Michael said

"I think he's the type of guy who values business over everything else, especially family. I think he's a heartless person with absolutely no remorse or guilt," Jason claimed.

"That somewhat is a highly negative opinion. Look, all I want you is to do what makes you happy. You don't have to sign the contract if you have to. As long as you are okay, I'm okay with it too. But I don't want you to do something irrational or out of character," Michael calmly said.

"Dad, you how much I love you and Mom. I won't tolerate anyone who says something vulgar, demeaning, insulting, or humiliating toward our family," Jason said.

"Jason, like I said, you don't have to sign the contract," Michael reminded. "Take a little time to think about it. If you sign, just sign the contract and endorse Dunder Mifflin."

Jason nodded. While they hugged it out, they headed to reception, where they were met by a man with glasses, a red tie, and wearing business attire. Waling toward Michael and Jason, he smiled.

"Michael! Glad to see you after many years," the man said.

"David, this is my son Jason," Michael introduced Jason to the man.

"Hey, Jason. By the way, I'm a huge fan of you," David said. "Would've been nice of you to play for the Eagles."

"Nah. The 49ers gave me my big break. I owe it to them," Jason said.

"And I see you brought an entourage of your friends," David said. "Is that Jay Sharma next to Astrid Levinsion?"

"Yeah. Mr. Wallace, can we discuss the contract in your office?" Jason requested.

"Right. I know you guys are somewhat busy and we'll discuss it shortly. Oh, and your friends can come too. Corporate really loves a good surprise of multiple celebrities," David said.

As Michael, Jason and his friends walk toward the office of Dunder Mifflin, where most of corporate is met with awe by the sight of well-adored celebrities. While Jason and Michael walk into a conference room with David, they start to discuss the formalities of the contract.

"So, Jason. Thanks for coming to New York for the contract signing. I know you guys arrived at New York a few days ago. We just need to discuss the contract's logistics," David said.

"Very well then. So, basically you want to use my name and fame to promote the company? Correct?" Jason said.

"Yup. And that's not all. With your successful career and breaking records in the NFL, we realized that you won't come cheap. Although our top competitors are vying for you to endorse them, they don't know that you're signing with us. So decided to offer you $10 million endorsement contract," David said.

"Do I have to act in any commercials that you guys are going to make to spread the word?" Jason asked.

"Yes. We'll be shooting commercials for 2 weeks after the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots," David said.

"And do I have to attend any events that you organize as part of the company?" Jason said.

"I mean, yes. But you don't have to talk much. You can say a few words," David said.

"If you're willing to invest on an elite athlete for an endorsement contract, then I want a stake in Dunder Mifflin," Jason stated.

David was surprised. He never expected Jason to talk business.

"If you're willing to put that much effort for me, I'm gonna invest $3 million for a 1% stake in the company. I checked the valuation. Right now the company's valued over $300 million. I'm willing to invest that much money and sign the contract under one condition," Jason stated.

Feeling more delighted at the prospect, David asked what that condition is.

"The first condition is that you apologize to my parents for what you did to them," Jason said.

Knowing what Jason meant, Michael realized his intent.

"I'm sorry?" David said confused.

"You know what you did, Mr. Wallace. You split my parents up. You knew my dad was in love with her and you sent her away," Jason reminded.

Getting full clarity on what Jason is talking about, Wallace realized that this'll be a little more complicated than he thought.

"Ok. Michael, can you please call Holly?" David asked, ready to apologize for his mistake in front of Jason.

Michael, realizing that Jason only wanted David to apologize, gladly dialed Holly's number.

As the phone rang, the call was answered.

"Michael? Is something wrong?" Holly asked over the phone.

"David has something to tell you. David, take it away," Michael said.

"Hi, Holly. Listen, I'm genuinely sorry about splitting you and Michael when you guys were dating for the first time. It was a misguided move on my part. But you need to know that it was nothing personal. It was an H.R. issue with your relationship and you guys didn't even disclose your relationship to Corporate. If you had disclosed it, then you guys would've happily been together," David told.

While David apologized, Jason felt his anger cool down and his resentment toward him has reduced.

"Plus, I noticed Jan became self-destructive when she started dating Michael and I assumed that Michael has this self-destructive influence on women. That was the reason I transferred you," David admitted.

Surprised, Jason decided to not say anything about it and Michael was surprised and shocked at David's confession.

"It's fine. Just don't interfere with our family again," Holly warned over the phone.

When Holly ended the call, Michael was slightly annoyed.

"You thought I was a bad influence on Holly? That's why you split us up?" Michael questioned.

"Yeah. I felt it was necessary. But after learning from Oscar, Phyllis, and Dwight about how your antics frequency has been reduced due to Holly's presence, I began to regret that decision," David admitted to Michael. "I was gonna transfer Holly back to Scranton when I learned about it, but I learned she was with AJ at the time. Plus, I didn't mean to send Toby back to Scranton. And I'm sorry about Holly's transfer."

"Apology accepted. You know I'm not that person anymore, right?" Michael said.

"Yes. And I also learned about your past. Oscar gave me a call and I was brought to tears. I'm sorry Michael. If you had told us about the issues you had back then, we would've helped you give some references to help cope with your loneliness and get some help. However, you should've told Toby about your former issues. He could've helped you out and we could've given you more respect for your work if your antics stopped," David said.

"Thank, David. Really appreciate it," Michael said.

As David tried finding the contract papers, he realized that Jason was reading through the contract, much to his surprise.

"I'm signing. You met my conditions. I'll hold up my end. Besides, this is only a business deal," Jason said to David after he grabbed a pen to sign the contract. After he signed the contract, he shook hands with David and gladly left with his father.

While Jason, Michael, and David left the conference room, they saw a huge crowd.

Noticing that Jason's friends are signing autographs and making a little small talk, they decided to let Jason have his share of autographs.

As Jason joined his friends for the autograph signing, the crowd lined up to sign autographs with Jason.

After the autographs have been signed, David decides to make an announcement regarding Jason's involvement with Dunder Mifflin.

"Attention, everyone! As of today, Jason Scott has became a 1% shareholder in our company. In addition, we just signed an endorsement contract with him," David announced.

While corporate processed the news, they realized with Jason's endorsing of the company, they are in for a good fortune and high revenue.

Impressed, they decided to congratulate Jason. When Michael looked at corporate congratulating his son, he realized Jason did something he never did: playing a major role in the company's journey.

While Jason and David had a little chit-chat, they discussed about family.

"So your brother Benjamin's a freshman at Stanford?" David said.

"Yeah. I'm surprised your daughter got into Berkeley. That's where I met Cecelia," Jason said.

"I didn't know Jay was your roommate. My son Teddy likes the way he plays. He's in the NBA currently, with the Philadelphia 76ers," David said.

"So you guys are getting into sports too?" Jason asked.

"No. Well, my son is. My daughter's interested in business management. Thought it would be fitting to give her some guidance on the matter, since she was interested," David said.

"So, is she a football fan?" Jason asked.

"Yeah. She wanted to go to Stanford, but got rejected. She got into Berkeley, much to her happiness. There was this legend that Stanford males are enchanted by UC Berkeley women and vice versa. I figure that's true in your's and Cecelia's case.

As Jason and David said goodbye to each other, Michael stayed behind to talk to David.

"You know, he had some hatred for you. I'm glad you doused the fire with a genuine apology," Michael said.

"I'm sorry? He held me with contempt?" David asked, confused.

"Well, it was because you didn't value me appropriately and you splitting me and Holly by transferring her. Since you genuinely apologized, I say you're in luck for a huge fortune," Michael said before leaving.

David, surprised at Jason's initial hatred for him, felt that he was extremely lucky to get Jason to sign the endorsement contract. Regardless, he realized that

As Jason and his friends left the building, they realized that all Jason had David apologize to Michael and Holly, much to their relief.

"Wait a minute, you had David Wallace apologize?" Halpert said.

Jason nodded, surprising Halpert.

"Thought you were gonna kill him, man," Jay said.

"Why would I kill him? You know I'm not a person who has enough rage to kill a person. Though I did see why David had to transfer my mom to Nashua many years ago," Jason said.

"Well, I'm glad you came through in the end," Cecelia said, giving him a kiss on the cheek.

"How dare you?" Jason romantically joked.

"That's what he said," Cecelia said, causing Jason to laugh, much to Jay's surprise.

"That's our private joke, Jason. Damn you!" Jay said, looking like he was about to chase Jason.

"That's what he said," Astrid quipped, surprising Jay.

"Ok, you got us. You know Jason's dad used that joke more often?" Jay said.

"When he made a joke about him retiring from comedy in Sexual Harassment?" Schrute said.

"Bingo. My dad goaded him into saying it," Cecelia said.

As Jason and the gang walked through the streets of New York, they looked very gleeful about what's about to happen next.
